In the tropical islands of Noia where humans are ambisexual and bound to dragons and water, Sasha lives on her family's rice farm in peace. Sasha must follow the monstrous salamanders to the neighboring island, an uninhabitable magical jungle infested with even worse monsters, to get a sample of the poison to make a cure. But the only person willing to help her on the impossible quest is a nomadic stranger—who she suspects is lying about who they are and what they want. Sasha treks into the jungle and must uncover the truth of both the poison and the stranger, or else it won't only be her family who suffers, but the entire island.

Uzāel is an aspiring landscape artist, and often drags the rest of the friend group away to different places in the countryside to get some inspirations for their paintings.

WIP Intro- My Life is a Telenovela!

Synopsis- 17-year-old Lucia Serratos' life isn't exactly like the movies. It's a full blown telenovela- complete with the melodramatic happenings of Miami life! Her abuela is re-entering the dating game as a spicy septuagenarian, her parents (veterans in the telenovela world) are campaigning for the mainstream market while Lucia and her friends continue to make waves at their exclusive performing arts school- even expertly crafting "meet-cutes" to get the attention of her longtime crush. With her school's talent showcase coming up, Lucia plans to devote all her attention to her top-secret screenplay. What she didn't count on? A gravity stopping, breathtaking, knee wobbling, hotter than fireworks, soul shattering kiss with the son of her father's rival in the industry, another telenovela actor that recently gained mainstream success in a summer blockbuster movie. Soon, Lucia is dodging everything from long lost relatives, unearthed family secrets, and a real life heart twisting love triangle! Will Lucia crumble under the pressure or will she arise as the victorious heroine of her own story?

Karma Killer (WIP Intro... Kind Of)

Sooo... the reason I say "kind of" is because I've technically fully finished this one and am trying to get it published, however! I am planning on making intro posts for ALL three of my WIPs and as I have yet to find an agent I feel inclined to include this one!

Also, as this work is pretty finished, I likely won't be able to change much on this one (unlike my other two WIPs), but I appreciate any feedback nonetheless!

Plot

In the fictional mountain town of Lake Leer, Colorado, a bullied high schooler named Kora Lynch becomes the latest in a long line of the town's tragic killers when she ends up drowning herself to escape her persecution. Rescued from her own fate by a goddess of mysterious whims who calls herself Ira, Kora is offered a choice - to die alone and wither away forever, or to become a "Vision of Vengeance" and do away with evildoers.

Choosing to become Ira's latest slasher, Kora is given a weathered kabuki mask and the ability to see anyone's every sin with a mere glance. Eager to seek revenge on those who drove her to die in the first place, Kora takes the name of "Karma" and begins slaughtering her classmates in a misguided attempt at justice - one inspired by her favorite slasher movies. As she further disconnects from the real world and loses grip of her moral compass, the woman that tormented her begins to gather her own little army, and the ensuing conflict tugs the entire town into the carnage.

Major Characters

Kora Lynch / Karma - A 16yo junior that becomes one of the deadliest killers in history after she receives Ira's gifts. She has a reserved and awkward personality that becomes much more malicious and sadistically gleeful when she's wearing the kabuki mask, something that grows more and more prominent as the "Karma" persona begins to take more and more control (NOTE: Not meant to be a representation of DID, merely dissociative trauma responses). She has a rather distinctive look, being unnaturally tall and having short, wild silver hair - paired with her mask, she is instantly recognizable. She makes ample use of axes and crossbows.

Laurie Thompson - An 18yo senior that headed the pack of bullies that made Kora's life a living hell. She starts out cruel and selfish, eager to throw anyone under a bus to get what she wants, but this soon changes as her friends begin dropping like flies around her and she becomes Karma's "final girl". Surviving numerous encounters with Karma, she soon grows quite competent on her own and leads the town into open rebellion against her nemesis.

Violet Vance - A 17yo junior that is rescued by Karma in one of her earliest massacres, having been dubbed "innocent". A shy, intelligent and cunning girl desperate for attachment, she soon starts to develop a growing admiration for the murderer that saved her life, even as Karma's standards grow ever looser.

Mabel Alexander - A 17yo senior who starts dating Kora shortly after her resurrection, unaware of her girlfriend's nightly habits. Friendly, compassionate, and easy to talk to, she quickly finds herself spiraling as she grows more and more suspicious of the killer stalking her town.

Skyler Simmons - An 18yo senior and Laurie's latest flame. Guilty of his complacency that led to Karma in the first place, he is one of the first to rise up to stop her, despite his lack of bravery or combat skill.

Captain Lumis - A police captain that is traumatized by his encounter with another one of Ira's killers, the Bleeding Bear, years ago. He soon makes it his priority to capture the next kabuki-masked killer when Karma emerges, even as the rest of the force struggles to keep up.

Ira - A mysterious crimson-haired goddess from a world beyond our own who rescues Kora from her grisly fate and warps her into a killer. Mysterious and short-tempered, she nonetheless begins to find herself as a motherly figure for Karma, despite clearly having her own hidden ambitions.

Themes & Things

Karma Killer started out for two big reasons - firstly, it was the first of my majorly political works, a direction I decided to keep on with my later novels. The book was inspired by the abundance of mass shootings, especially school shootings, that I have had to hear about on a seemingly weekly basis living in America. It is an effort to narrow down what causes these things, a character study on a killer's psyche with a horror framework.

While this is obviously not an accurate representation of reality, Karma Killer primarily explores a lot of those themes - what makes a mass killer like that, why they think the way they do, what goes on in their head, the self-destructive depression that comes with it. Despite her sympathetic tale and the story being told from her perspective, Karma was always meant to be a proper villain protagonist - do not go into this thinking that I am an advocate for these kinds of criminals. I merely wanted to explore the circumstances and mindset that leads to such crimes.

Secondly, it was meant to be a way to purge a lot of the trauma that lingered with me after high school - and for that, it has largely succeeded. It has functioned as some sort of catharsis for all the horrible things other people put me through as someone struggling with BPD and a broken home and all sorts of things at school. The abuse I received in that time was extraordinary and I needed to let it all out. That led to the initial genesis of the idea - "what if there was a slasher from the villain's perspective, and she was just a bullied teen who snapped after being pushed too far?" Of course, this idea ended up going to its logical conclusion, and that's how the heavy political influence came into play.

Ok I was mostly liveblogging to share stuff about HotU which I so rarely post about but I feel like I got sidetracked by just picking out fun quotes, lol -- so here's a summary of what both characters are up to in the chapters I just revisited (1-10):

Mitzli -- demon-hunter, half-vampire ("vampire" being the highest tier of the demon hierarchy), devout follower of the state religion, Lukeitil (which also raised them) -- takes their sacred duty as a hunter very seriously. This is true even when their assignment is just offering blessings to those rural farming communities who rarely see demonic activity; demons need an audience, after all, so they don't bother with these small villages. As they travel through the remote mountains, however, they begin to see evidence of unexpected and frightening demonic violence. They team up with independent demon hunter (slash mysterious pretty boy) Veleiry to investigate what's happening, even though this pulls them away from their assignment -- and the destruction they find is worse than they'd ever imagined.

Kor -- shiftless demon, big fan of messing with humans, not a fan of having a job -- just got done sulking over his ex-boyfriend, Yez, who accused him of secretly having a soft spot for humans before dumping him. Kor is pretty sure that's not true -- but he worries his commander Mant suspects the same. Mant keeps making demands of him, which he claims are the first steps toward the mysterious process of achieving vampirism, but which seem to Kor like opportunities to put him under surveillance. He does one of the missions as ordered, but he's shocked when he returns to the demons' camp and finds evidence that Mant has changed tactics. Their entire mission is to draw out the light -- the life force -- from humans, which is done by tormenting and frightening them. So why now is Mant talking about murder?

Terıqa is a fantasy-series-in-progress set in Ommın City, the capital of a colony controlled by the Empire of Hesıt. it focusses on a squad of ten young military cadets as they train for active service under the guidance of veteran Meltif Alnente Set.

while there is a larger-scale plot occurring, which gets more focussed on later in the series, the first part is more concerned with the relationships between the characters, who all have very different backgrounds and perspectives. they make friends and enemies, begin and end relationships, and slowly mature as people while larger mechanisms act in the background, changing the world as they are learning to live in it and change it themselves.

Additional Information: Exonerate the Stars is a retelling of the War in Heaven and it is the first story in the Hymns of the Fallen Saga.

Lucifer Morgenstern is hardly a paragon of virtue. Ve drinks too much and chops people up like sushi. But it is all right since Lucifer is God's favorite. Everything changes when Heaven is invaded by unholy abominations. After vanquishing them, ve is tasked with a mission.

Discover the traitors who aligned with the unholy abominations and smite them. Yet Lucifer must hurry. A theomachist plot is brewing in Heaven. Saving Heaven is a daunting task. Yet for Lucifer, it is a delightful game.

Of Flowers and Darkness- A WIP Introduction

Synopsis: For sixteen year old newly adult Persephone, her summer plans include her state's upcoming Cornucopia celebration, hanging out with her friends, finally growing a tree on her own, watching reruns of the universe's worst "so bad it's good" soap opera, and maybe try to forget the nightmares that have been plaguing her mind for the past few weeks. For Hades, melancholy, order, & routine fits like a tightly knit sweater. Or a strangling obsidian choker. Nothing has surprised him for a couple thousand years. He continues to make sure that his realm runs like a finely tuned automaton, tightening the leash on his baby brother Zeus when his bite is worse than his bark, and the roller coaster highs & lows of his relationship with his longtime girlfriend doesn’t even make him blink! Hades did not count on the return of his mother to upset the order & control he's spent most of his life trying to maintain. Persephone's summer plans get thrown for a loop when she finally discovers the truth about herself & her mom- they're actually goddesses! To learn more about herself and background, she leaves her small town for the country's glittering capital, New Olympus. When their paths cross, Hades & Persephone start up an unlikely friendship and alliance before something more deep, dark, winding, and passionate brews between them.

Filled with the glitz, glamour, and secrets of the Greek gods, Of Flowers and Darkness is a remix on a classic tale!!!

Exerpt from my WIP

Every story has it’s roles of good and evil. Titles given to characters who are thrown into a world beyond their control. Labels that get placed on those who wanted them.

Villains. Dark minds, misunderstood morals, evil, the list goes on with negativity. They weren’t allowed to be anything like a human, a normal human with mistakes. They were seen as deities in a world full of atheists. They would always fall to the darkness, all the light in their souls swallowed away by tragedy and trauma. Villains were always the bad ones who would never win a battle, no matter how powerful they are.

Heroes are the complete opposite. Loving, kind, equality for all! They could have everything in the world handed to them in gratitude. They have clean and innocent minds, never doing wrong. They are always the main characters in their stories, the favourites of their author. Silver platters aren’t good enough for their liking, it all has to be dipped in gold and studded with jewels. Heroes, they’re perfect in every way, no matter how twisted they really are.

But you see, don’t you? That a world full of negatives and positives is nothing but ruins. A world falling apart to the hands of war against good and evil? You always hear the news about how this guy fought this guy and got the girl of his dreams within days of knowing her. Yippee, raise the praise for a land full of love! Good and evil are all there ever is, a divide amongst the world, hiding away in the trenches of war.

 But in this story? This is no man’s land, where only the strongest survive.

very intelligent but has low self-esteem largely due to his face-blindness. he is very attached to his closest friend Reynan. he also comes from an eKesıt family, but they have been in the city for much longer than Ilıp’s has. he joined the army to follow Reynan, as his mental state is initially highly dependent on her regular presence.
