My first goal in MFP was 139.5lbs because that just puts me at a normal BMI. Grain of salt and all with that stat but still. I’ve lost almost 30lbs you guys. I hit my first big goal. I can’t fucking believe it. I’ve never consistently lost weight beyond like 5-10lbs and now here I am… This is surreal!
The journey does continue too! I know I still want to lose fat and I’m guessing about 120lbs would look & feel good at my height, depending on how much muscle I have and all. That goal weight is much more arbitrary though.
But damn. I fucking did it. I hit a goal!!!!

It's kinda hard to tell but that first 4/16 is from 2022. Basically took a long break from the 2022 holidays until this past summer haha. But then I kept it going!

we don't talk enough about the fact that calorie labels are allowed to have a 20% margin of error, like you could literally be tracking everything 'correctly' & doing everything right and still be eating way more calories than you think 😭

just good ole myfitnesspal! it is free. and if you’re in US they make you pay for the barcode scanner, but you can change your location to the UK and then get the scanner back for free 😌

Check In - 5/8/2023
Officially done with my semester and I got an A+ in my class! It’s a good feeling to have summer ahead of me.
Had a good eating day today, as well, after getting off track over the weekend. It’s truly a miracle I lost weight. 😭
Weird but delish dinner of stuff in my fridge tonight. Feeling really good about the aspects of my health I can control.

CW: weight talk ahead
I hit a milestone on my Happy Scale app today! My highest weight ever was 169lbs/76.7kg in April of 2022. I've been working on it slowly since then, albeit with a few big gaps/pauses. 😅 But the last month I've been doing awesomely again and picked back up on my progress. I'm about 155lbs/70.3kg now! So now I have 7 more milestones to hit before I get to what I've entered as my goal weight, or another way to look at it is it says I'm 32.1% of the way there. I love the little milestones on this app, very helpful with feeling rewarded with baby steps. 🙌🏼🏆
I arbitrarily put 125lbs/56.7kg as my goal since that's often a healthy weight for my height, but we'll see how I feel once I actually get down around there. I'm also definitely trying to do body recomp, i.e. keep or even build some muscle, so that will factor into my weight as well.
Honestly the first big goal I have in my head though is 139lbs/63kg which is also what's entered as my goal in both MyFitnessPal and on my Fitbit; not sure why I did 125 in the Happy Scale app honestly haha (so many apps!). 139 is my first goal because I'm technically no longer overweight there in terms of BMI, for what that's worth. And idk, just something about being below 140 in my head is appealing lol.
Hope it doesn't take me another year and change to lose another 15lbs. 🙃 But as they say slow progress is better than no progress at least!

3/13/23 Food Log. Food poisoning 🤢🤮

I had a shit night. Forgot to get bubble wrap last week while shopping, so I ordered it. Supposed to be in Monday (today), not here, I'm out, so had to make a trip to Sam's . I ate my salad before I left. I started feeling sick about halfway there. Fought off the feeling, cos it's bullshit... halfway home had to pull onto a side street to puke my guts out. Ugh. 🤢🤮 barely managed to get stopped and get my door open in time. Puked FOREVER. I'm sure I didn't eat that much! Finally stop, rinse my mouth, blow my nose... so gross. I hate puking more than anything my body can do to me. Finally got home, puked again in the driveway, couldn't even get inside. 3 or 4 more times once I did get inside. Idk when it finally stopped.
So, what in the salad was bad? Chicken? I put rotisserie chicken on it... had it since Friday, but I've done this for YEARS with no problem. Dressing gone bad? Seems unlikely to be the lettuce, tomato or cucumbers.
Anyway, feel better now at 3am, finally, after some sleep, but my throat feels like 10 miles of bad road.
I also broke my workout streak, unless you count the ab work from puking.
