took on even more responsibility at home and become a big emotional support for her mom

all of this sort of hardened them to the world, al mostly just became determined to be a rock for her family and didn't focus on much else

when college rolled around, her mom insisted that she go away to school as she'd always planned and they argued HARD, wanting to stay home and help their mom

but they ended up at universidad de bellas artes studying psychology and they've been in chile ever since

currently pursuing her phd, inspired by the death of their father and the subsequent fallout of their family, wanting to be a grief counselor for kids

Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara

They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them
