the scene where genya confronts the queen absolutely killed me. daisy may head's performance was breathtaking. however, i wish the king had been alive. genya gets called "ruined" in the show so i do not understand why they didnt let her say the iconic “Na razrusha’ya. E’ya razrushost.” I am not ruined. I am ruination”. i want to see genya confront the king. i want to see genya look him dead in the eye as she tells him how she poisoned him. i want her to whisper "I hope the taste of me was worth it." and i want him to live just to suffer. is this too much to ask?

Na razrusha’ya. I am not ruined.

E’ya razrushost. I am ruination.

My body speaks to me in scars. What matters isn’t how I got them, but what I make of them. This body is not perfection or flawlessness or hourglass figures, smooth as butter, but a body, a body, a body, and that is all it was ever supposed to be. Only a vessel. And the prettiest glass vases are all the more fragile, haven’t you noticed? So it is better to be broken before than to shatter later.

My body speaks to me in scars. It is a language I am still learning to be fluent in. It is a God I am still learning to pray to. I offer it the ashes of all the cream bottles I have emptied into my body, to force it to beauty. I offer it every meteor and every blade on my skin that cracks my surface. It reveals heaven within. A heaven made of ruins and rubble and temples that pray to imperfection.

The blemishes on my skin are bricks and I am building an empire out of this flawed body. Call me queen; bow down to these scars because you’ll never see a paradise so sweet. You’ll never see ruins so complete.

My body speaks to me in scars. What matters isn’t how I got them, but what I make of them. Because I am not ruined. I am ruination.

GLASS CAGE . You feel disconnected from the world around you. You can see everything, everyone can see you, but you're not really there. No one can really communicate with you, can they? You're isolated, even when you're around people you're alone. You want desperately to be close to someone, but you're afraid of what will happen if you shatter your glass prison. You don't want to let someone in, you don't want to leave, and it's a constant battle of your own will.

It's easier to be alone, where no one can hurt you... Isn't it?
