🍓🍋🍏 for the OC ask!

thank you, Nadia! 💜

🍓 "cute" as an aesthetic is not really Stella's style, but she's quick to get attached to any cute animal she sees. the problem is, they're typically dangerous. 😂 for example, in my AU, there is a whole "episode" where Stella convinces Noctis & Prompto they should adopt a baby coeurl they found (which thank goodness Ignis put a stop to, lmfao).

🍋 fire! Stella has an intense phobia of fire due to the housefire she barely escaped when Ardyn killed her mom. it's especially rough when she's a teenager, and just about anything can trigger it; from firetruck sirens a couple streets over on the walk home from the arcade, to her & Noct accidentally burning dinner while trying to cook.

this extends into battles during the journey too, and Stella (if she were in the actual game) will take an automatic critical hit whenever something hits her with a fire-based attack (her Crownsguard Fatigues have a built-in fire resistance boost as well).

when the party crosses paths with Ardyn for the second time and he offers to take them to the Disc, Stella remarks "Oh what, so we're just gonna trust some random hobo we met on the street?" and Ardyn responds to her attitude by casually walking up to her and snapping his fingers to conjure a flame with his magic. when Stella freezes and the bros go on the defensive, Ardyn laughs it off, claiming it was a simple magic trick (in reality, he knew exactly what he was doing, for obvious reasons).

the only person Stella trusts with fire is Ignis. (and the irony, because, well, 'Ignis'. fun fact, the reason the nickname 'Iggy' exists in my AU despite being dub-only, is that Stella's mom had taught her latin, and young!Stella wouldn't say his name after the fire so she gave him a nickname. which annoyed Ignis to no end at first, but once he realized why, he just let her do it. then it became like a petname, lol.)

Ignis can use his fire magic in battle, and cook with it at camp, and Stella doesn't even flinch. he will also help her practice getting over her fear sometimes late at night, sitting outside the tent when they're alone, by summoning fire to his hand so she can try getting close to it.

incidentally, i'm also really fond of the fan theory that Ignis is a descendant of Ifrit, so i love that the girl who's terrified of fire fell in love with a (sort of) fire god. plus, Stella's name is a reference to water (Stella Maris = latin for 'Star of the Sea'), which is just icing on the cake.

during the 10 Years of Darkness, Stella works to overcome her fear, and by the time Ardyn sets the city on fire during Chapter 14, she's unfazed. this doesn't stop a newly-awakened Noctis from being concerned for her, however.

🍏 Stella is eccentric for sure, but i wouldn't say she's ever been punished for that quality alone. her energy is almost contagious, and she was well-liked in school as a child, becoming sort of a leader to all the neighborhood kids in Lestallum (who she frequently recruited for her mischievous activities, lol).

after coming to Insomnia, though, she sticks out like a sore thumb. Stella is not used to the city at all, and is angry that she has to be there. she feels trapped in her school uniform, constricted by her shoes, and often gets lost trying to navigate the trains. she is used to running around barefoot in shorts, and has never had to travel much further than her feet can take her before. this contributes greatly to how much young!Stella acts out, especially in school, where she develops a reputation for throwing rocks at people and trying to push them down the stairs (very fun for Regis to hear about, by the way. imagine being a literal King and the school called about your tiny feral niece again)

luckily, after some much needed help and support, Stella grows out of this phase and finally settles into her new home, allowing her bubbly personality to emerge once more.

🍟: What does your OC admit to be their guilty pleasure? What actually is their guilty pleasure?

Nadia would say her guilty pleasure is days off. Considering just how much she is the linchpin that keeps Teer Fradee from descending into war, she thinks that taking time for herself is selfish. But her actual guilty pleasure is like... extreme outdoor sports. Cliff-diving, rock climbing, spelunking. She wants to climb the tallest cliff she can find just so she can jump off of it. She feels guilty about it because it's going to give Kurt a heart attack before he's 35, but she loves it.

🍷: What's one of your OC's pet peeves concerning food?

Eat. What. You. Take. She's been to plenty of fancy banquets that her uncle's hosted, and she's also been roughing it in the wilderness where the only food you have is what you can find. In both cases, it's not the excess or lack of food that gets to her, and she has no problem with a person who takes a lot of food and eats it. It's purely the people that take a lot and then don't eat it, especially if they do so knowing full well that they don't intend to eat it all. She's looking directly at you, Constantin d'Orsay. Finish your damn dinner!

Etain:

🍓: Does your OC have any particular scents they like? Or hate?

Etain loves floral scents. Roses/rosewater are a particular favorite, but any and all flowers are good. And like, woodsy scents. She doesn't care for really cloying perfumes. Overly sweet smells, or overly strong ones. Maybe it's the forest-hermit in her, maybe it's because she associates them too much with the worst parts of nobility.

🍕: How does an OC spend a lazy day?

In bed. Sleeping, reading, snuggling (with Pip, or with a romantic partner). She doesn't have to get dressed, she doesn't have to put on her literal or figurative mask, all she has to do is exist.

Marii:

🍉: Does your OC have a particular piece of jewellery that they always wear or refuse to part with?

hmmmm, I don't think she does. I don't think she wears much jewelry at all, actually 🤔 she has a lot of keepsakes, but most of them are articles of clothing or weapons rather than jewelry. I think she would wear jewelry, if she had any, but I don't think it's ever crossed her mind to buy some, and no one's ever given her any.

🌽: How does this OC feel about acts of affection? What's their favourite act of affection, physical or emotional?

Marii is a hugger. Or I guess a leaner would be more accurate. She likes to lean her head on people's shoulders or rest it on top of their head, depending on if she's shorter or taller than them. she's a big fan of the hug-from-behind with Theron (or Tragen 😉), so she can either rest her head between his shoulder blades or lean back against him, depending on if she's giving or receiving.

[Give me a: 🍓 and one of my OCs, and i’ll tell you some random facts about said OC]

Her becoming a ghost in her courier timeline wasn’t actually all that surprising to her. It’s a somewhat common thing among her family and childhood church community and is tied to their radiation baptisms, though the reason isn’t 100% clear. What was more surprising was the fact that she retained her entire being; most of the family members she’s seen come back haven’t come back whole, more of an echo of themselves

She loves naps and can fall asleep literally anywhere (while alive; can’t sleep as a ghost and is pissed about it). Can occasionally be found in the Kings’ back room sitting at a table in the back corner, leaning back, arms crossed, head down, fast asleep. Burnt out cigarette hanging out of mouth is optional

She is generally minimalistic in her decor and limits her personal objects, but keeps a collection of animal bones. A big horner skull is her current crown jewel (she also has a tattoo of it on her upper back) but she dreams of getting her hands on a deathclaw skull one day

I think I’ve mentioned this once before, but Sam was a genuine Horse Girl (gnc) growing up, and one of the first things Mara (his old patron) gifted him was a riding horse that was to be used exclusively by him heh (I don’t know enough about those dubious little creatures to tell you what kinda yet LMAO) Now he has a full stable that he is very proud of

The only time he and Nadia can stand each other without getting into very underhanded arguments is when they’re riding together (+ Lucio, who’s off doing his own thing)

He taught Donna how to ride (in more ways than one) and Asra re-taught them after being revived

Amparo and Artemisia's parents are called Cassiopeia Cassano and Iris Cassano (née De Souza Mebarak).

Iris' family is Venterrean-Vesuvian, they have a summer state in the region of Lulia (yes, this references your own post). She's the youngest of four children (Teresa Aliyah (she/her), Rasim Osvaldo (he/him), Ferreira Maria (he/they) and themself Iris José). Her parents names are Emira Nadra Inas Mubarak, Barona of Almeida and Thiago Teodoro Ferreira De Souza.

Iris absolutely was the rebellious one. Often sneaked out just because they could. As part of their status-worthy education, they speak five languages, do calligraphy, horse-rides, fences and does archery, though she usually sneaked out during her lessons and practices.

Thiago Teodoro was incredibly lenient with her because, as the youngest, Iris was not going to inherit anything. Nadra has never stuck through a punishment she ever gave her. From a point on she just sighed, and as long as Iris didn't put themself in danger or ridicule, she didn't really care.

The Emira is almost never in Almeida (a fortress City State near Karnassos) as it is ruled by her older brother. The Lulia Summer State is hers.

The family has property in Almeida, Venterre's capital, Lulia and Vesuvia. They don't dislike the Cassano because that is social suicide but they, of course, prefer it when they aren't to inconvenienced. Someone must care for the populace of course, but don't poke them too much. The Emira is a little more involved than Thiago. She vastly prefers Nadia.

Still, when Iris went into a relationship with Cassiopeia Thiago Teodoro and the Emira were both you What. Iris promptly reminded them that they thought they didn't dislike them :)

Though Iris took the surname, sometimes it's hard for them to assimilate they are Iris Cassano and not Iris José De Souza-Mubarak. Iris never realised how different they could be from Cassiopeia until they had to meet Cassie's parents. Both of them were high priests (a high priestess and a high priest respectively, but both of them used they/them pronouns) and deeply involved with causes of social justice and the well-being off those who sought refuge in the Temple District.

Amparo gets her wall climbing tendencies from Iris.

Uncle Ferreira covered a lot for Iris when they were teenagers, and he is the one who sees Amparo and Artemisia the most. Iris thinks Artemisia sometimes resembles him in disposition. So concerned, so responsible, but when she feels out of place, Iris is reminded of themself.

Both Amparo and Artemisia are transfeminine. Amparo is a trans woman, and Art is genderfluid.

It’s a not so well kept secret that he went back and took Vulpes’ fox tail charm off of his corpse. He has a habit of simply sitting and sadly petting it for hours at a time and nobody has had the heart to bring it up

He HATES taking care of his hair or getting hair cuts and will allow it to grow into a huge tangled mess. Arcade has largely taken over Sol’s hair care and him brushing it has become part of their nightly routine

He has a (somewhat darker) timeline that I have nicknamed ‘Nadia and Sol’s Fucked Up Adventure’ in which instead of taking Arcade as a companion he takes Nadia and she nurtures his more violent and justice driven tendencies. The two of them eventually venture to Zion and crucify Joshua Graham :)
