Sci Fi Month: Pilot test flights:Nadia The Secret of Blue Water,The Girl At The Eifel Tower
Welcome to not only my first review of this years Sci Fi Month but my first in a sub series ,Pilot Test Flights where I will look at TV pilots to shows and see if they hook me into wanting to watch more
Todays review is the anime Nadia The Secret of Blue Water .A classic of anime that I know....Is a classic....And that Atlantis the Lost Empire was accused of being a rip off .Yeah I went into this blind
Also I watched the English dub cause that was what was on Vudu
The episode Girl At The Eifel Tower was released in 1990 and follows 14 year old inventor Jean (Nathan Parsons ) who get distracted at a flying contest when he sees a mysterious girl Nadia (Megan Nicole Bauman) who has a jewel that makes her the target of the villanous Grandis Granva (Sarah Richardson)
At first I was kind of meh on this,.....By the end of episode Im kind of into it .Its classic boy meets girl leading to a great adventure ,but I was kind of amused in this one the driving factors are simply Jean has a crush /he wants to help her .I also like Jean and Nadia as characters .The humor is funny, the action is good and the vibe reminds me of Castle in the Sky .I will say I find the villains a bit to Team Rockety for my taste but hey its the first episode
I am intrigued enough I wanna see more,so as a pilot it is sucesful
Also love Nadia lion cub
