Alright, time to talk about book 1.5 in The Faerie Tale Romance series, The Lily Gate by @hannasandvig TLG is a The Frog Prince/The Princess and the Frog retelling with a talking frog who loves sweets, a bachelorette competition, a half fae half human princess who takes charge of her own life, and a true love's kiss. You follow a young woman named Tuala, a fae princess who loves to bake and likes order just as much. This competition to find the love of her life her mother concocted should be simple enough. Fae princes from around the Seelie kingdom just need to take part in 3 competitions, and win each one and earn a . . . Kiss from her. Tuala isn't super stoked to kiss a bunch of guys, but her mother swears that a way to find love is to feel the sparks from their kiss. Alright, should be easy enough, except, someone Tuala was expecting to meet hasn't arrived, even though a talking green frog is telling her otherwise. This was the third book I read in this series. It was so fun and cute and I actually enjoyed the challenges in this bachelorette style competition. If you're a fan of The Frog Prince or The Princess and the Frog and just want a cute, fun, chill romancy filled read, give this story a try. Valhalla The Valkyries Fire Meet a temporary protagonist, Saya Önníka, Valhalla's mother. She won't make it past the Prologue lol. I've actually concepted her once before and she honestly hasn't gone through much of a change. I mostly changed her dress to be more Norse inspired and pulled her hair back a bit. The ending of this book……I just don’t know whether to cry, scream or curse! I’m devastated, yet cheering on Meren. I mean wow! She is amazing and Ifeel so heartbroken for her. She is not being dealt a fair hand at all. Every time it seems she is gaining momentum, something comes barreling in to tear down her achievements.

This book is action packed from the very first chapter. It is nonstop danger and battles from cover to cover. Some very serious things go down in this book and I got to say this quest of Meren’s is far from over. I might even say this is just the beginning. I honestly don’t know what else she can do. It seems so hopeless.

I absolutely love this story and all the craziness that stems from it. It has some cool and unique characters that are very interesting. The world building the author has done is downright amazing. She has created an unusual Fanta world, that has characters with unique capabilities and powers beyond your beliefs. It isn’t just one world but six different dominions. Each unique in its own right.

I sit and wonder how is this story going to end….all I can see right now is horrible brokenness and the devastation of Meren. I truly hope there is a happy ending in store for her, but the war with Eidolon is heating up and all I see in the future is his destruction.

Patiently, waiting for a book 3 ……
