notes from bloom: hi guys. i know it’s been a minute, i’ve been losing my motivation to write recently. but i rewatched all of free last week and i remembered how much i was in love with rin and makoto so without further ado, here’s a little gift ❣️

Haruka Nanase

🫧 Haruka loves to spend most of his time in the water, so obviously this means many, many swim dates

🫧 And lots and lots of mackerel

🫧 He loves swimming with you though, he loves you almost as much as he loves water. You can’t ever keep up with him when he tries to race you, but he’s learned to slow down for you.

🫧 His favorite thing about you is the fact that you’re supportive of everything he does. Haru wants to practice? You’ll help him achieve a new personal best. He wants to go shopping? You’ll help him pick out the best outfits and swim suits.

🫧 He also loves to cook with you. You’re an amazing cook, so he really loves when you sleep over and get to cook breakfast for him. You know he loves mackerel, but you try to get him to eat real breakfast foods from time to time.

🫧 Speaking of which, since Haru lives alone, ever since he started dating you he’s come to hate being alone. He wants you to be there with him, so he invites you to sleep over often.

🫧 Believe it or not, he’s super touch starved, so he’s probably gonna want to be held while he sleeps the first few times you sleep together. He loves being the little spoon.

🫧 He does have the annoying habit of not locking the door though. Makoto will come to wake the two of you up and almost forgets about it upon seeing Haru snuggled into you, your arms wrapped around him tight.

🫧 Makoto is Haru’s number one cheerleader, he’s so happy for you two. He’s Haru’s best friend, so it makes him happy to have Makoto’s support.

Makoto Tachibana

🫧 Makoto is a soft, simple man, the pure definition of gentle giant.

🫧 And that surely translates into your relationship.

🫧 He’s a romantic, he has the biggest heart you’ve ever seen. He wants to hold you, feed you, care for you, and protect you.

🫧 He also loves cat cafe dates. He loves getting to pet all the kitties that want his attention, and he’s always more than happy to give it to them. He secretly wants to adopt a cat with you, but he’ll save sharing that thought for another day.

🫧 He loves feeding you. He loves knowing he’s the reason you’re eating well. He’ll cook for you, and he loves to cook with you. And if you hate deciding what to eat then that’s okay to, because he’ll remember all of the foods you love, and pay attention to what you don’t like.

🫧 Very big spoon. He loves to hold you and protect you from anything outside of your bubble. He’s so large around you it sends you into sub-space sometimes, in a non sexual way of course. He just makes you feel that safe and loved.

🫧 He’s very attentive towards you. Sometimes you might feel out of place, but he’s always quick to try and make the bad feelings go away before they can fester. He wants to be the reason you smile.

🫧 Overall, if your future husband isn’t Makoto, you don’t want him. There is no one more perfect to you.

Nagisa Hazuki

🫧 Nagisa is pretty hyper and all over the place so buckle in for the ride

🫧 He loves to sneak off with you during lunch. Sometimes he’ll invite Rei, but where’s the fun in that?

🫧 Rei is often left third wheeling since Nagisa hates excluding him, but Rei never minds it because he loves you.

🫧“You and Nagisa are like night and day, so how did he manage to get you to fall in love with him?” He’ll always ask, but you’ll just shrug and give Nagisa a kiss on the cheek.

🫧 Nagisa loves inviting you to swim practice. You aren’t a member of the team, but he loves having you there to watch him show off compared to the other guys. Having you there motivates him to do his very best.

🫧 You’ll bring snacks and hand them out after they finish practice. Nothing horrific like Gou that one time with the chocolate filled rice balls, and Rei appreciates that you always try to pick up fruit or protein bars.

🫧 He looks forward to Sundays. He tries to plan surprises for you every Sunday. It could be a trip to the beach, a visit at the aquarium, or even out to play laser tag, we all know he’s a child at heart.

🫧 Definitely likes being the little spoon, but will be the big spoon if you’re having a bad day. He knows he feels safe and loved in your arms, so he knows you need that same feeling sometimes too.

🫧 Your patience is definitely his favorite thing about you. You’re always helping him in the life skills department, while he’s always helping you in book smarts.

🫧 He’s a baker. He always thought ladies loved sweets more than they loved anything, so he picked up baking somewhere in life. He bakes for you all the time, so make sure you have a sweet tooth for him

🫧 He likes to take you out to try new foods, and it ends up becoming your go to date idea.

🫧 Rei also loves doting on you. He wants to hold your hand all the time, and he’ll hand you things with a soft kiss to your temple. He’d wash dishes and fold your laundry if you lived together.

🫧 Rei is also probably lenient when it comes to being big or little spoon, he doesn’t care as long as he’s close to you. This man loves cuddles from you, he swears they recharge his brain after a long day or training.

🫧 Rei would probably enjoy running with you in the morning though. He loves working out with you, whether it’s running or lifting weights or doing core exercises he’s all over it.

Rin Matsuoka

🫧 Biggest drama queen. He’s an Aquarius so you shouldn’t expect anything less than dramatics

🫧 But he’s also very attentive and sweet with you. You’re such a good thing to him and he wants to smother you in his affection.

🫧 Rin loves to travel though. And that definitely is a perk when it comes to dating him. He’ll fly you both out to Australia for a week and take you on a grand tour.

🫧 He’s a foodie. He’s not the best cook but he definitely knows where the best food is at. Every Saturday after he’s out of swim practice he’ll take you out to eat somewhere new.

🫧 He’s probably the type of guy to not care about PDA too much. Always wants to hold your hand, and he’s not scared to give you casual kisses in front of others. You’re his, he should be allowed to show you off as such.

🫧 He’s also the jealous type. One time Seijuro Mikoshiba tried hitting on you, and that did not go well. Rin had you underneath him in his bed no more than 20 minutes later.

🫧 Rin is a certified big spoon. He values you so much and he wants to protect you from anything or anyone that could hurt you. He’d hold you all through the night too, not wanting to risk anything happening.

🫧 When high school was almost over, Rin wanted to go back to school in Australia for a little while. He practically begged you to come with him.

🫧 And considering you were also ready to start a new chapter, you picked a university out in Sydney. He was so happy you were accepted in, and that you’d be starting this chapter with him.

Getting a Kiss on the Cheek by his Crush | Several

Haru:

After a whole day together at the pool with his crush, Haru is over the moon. Not that he shows because 😐

"Thank you, Haru... I had fun today" and chuik!💋

He is awful at handling affection.

So the exact second your lips come in contact with his skin, he freezes.

He has no idea what to do. Don't get him wrong, he likes it, given this is his crush we're talking about. But my god, he's stupid.

He malfunctions.

Which could give you the wrong idea, so probably he will panic when he sees you all discouraged.

You're leaving but... NO, he doesn't want you to leave!

So he has to be quick, and call your name... A bit louder than he intended.

"I... I liked it too..."

His face says it all, the shy pouty face he does when he's embarrassed and his cheeks just a nice shade of pink.

It's impossible not to smile at that.

"We should do it more often" and he gets another kiss. And these times, he returns the gesture.

"Yeah... we should" and he finally lets you see that lovely smile of his.

Makoto:

Makoto is really shy, he's friendly and lovely, but he has no idea how to approach his crush.

You hang out as friends and everyone (for argument’s sake I'll say you're part of the swimmer group of friends, whether as a swimmer or like Kisumi) can tell you both like each other but the two of you.

To the point where they ditch you both, so you spend a day together as an unexpected date of sorts. Like in a festival or something, and you're both left to be together-

He is really nervous at first, especially if he is made aware what's going on:

"Nagisa: We're not arriving, Mako-chan, enjoy your date lol"

He starts off very stiff and awkward because he likes you a lot and why are you so beautiful and why are his hands sweating-

But again, one of the things he likes about you is that you're friends, and you make him laugh.

So it doesn't take long for him to honestly just have a good time.

You guys laugh and joke and spend all your designed money on games and snacks.

It's a lot of fun, but Makoto is really swooning.

So by the end of the night, you stand on your tip-toes to what he assumes it's a hug.

But he just feels the light flutter along with a soft chuik! 💋

He can't stop his heart from racing. His face is red, his palms sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy, mom's spaghetti. He is absolutely flustered.

But unlike Haru, you can tell in his eyes that went to heaven. He even does the tilt head smile.

It's not official until a while after, but dates likes this became a common thing immediately.

Rin:

Oh my god, he's so CUTE

He invites you over to a competition, and he does great, as usual.

And to celebrate, you all go to a karaoke. Which Rin's canonically awful at, LOL

But anyway, Sousuke and Haru pressure him into signing in front of everyone.

Which he does.

And it sucks.

Look, before an angry crowd comes to get me, I don't think he's a bad singer, at all. He probably just gets nervous and mumbly.

But the song ends and everyone is laughing and teasing.

He does this pout bad boy thing he does when he's embarrassed, looking down, frowning, and turning his voice deeper to be scary.

"The mic's wrong... and I don't even know the song that well..."

So you take the chance to whisper in his ear, "I think you did great" and peck his cheek. 💋

He goes red in a second.

Of course, everyone else notices, obviously.

And he wouldn't be so embarrassed if you weren't laughing about it too.

And it's hilarious, he will be buried next Saturday-

Just kidding.

Somehow, that whole number got him a date with you... But he wasn't the one that had the guts to ask 😉

I feel like he would be really upset that you beat him to it... But really happy to know you return his feelings, and he, being as competitive as he is, has determined that he will be the one asking you out on your next date.

Sousuke:

Sousuke is a very chill person, he doesn't get shaken much by emotions, right?

Hahahaha. WRONG!

He's what 10 years of anime slang have led me to classify as a kuudere, like Haru and Ikuya... sort of. But better because (sorry Haru and Ikuya, but at least) he does express emotions, he's just generally calm and well-mannered.

He would even be a very good flirt, given how in control of his emotions he is. Like sure, he can take a smartsy comment and shoot one back, this verbal love battle is something he has on the bag.

BUT GODDAMMIT, IF THESE BOYS AREN'T EASY TO FLUSTER, MAY I BE STRUCK BY A LIGHTNING BOLT RIGHT NOW.

I feel Sousuke would be especially flustered by casual PDA.

Like, he went to buy drinks and got one for you because... he be crushing badly and in general loves to do stuff for you.

He thinks he has his feelings under control, he's just being nice because he likes to be nice to you.

Right?

Well, he wouldn't even see it coming.

Just a casual "thanks" and an absentminded kiss on the cheek 💋, and he's done for.

Given the naturality of the situation, he wouldn't make a huge fuss. But oh boy does that little kiss keep you on his mind more than usual. That cute lil' "I don't stay up all night thinking about them" later that night, up thinking about you... "Uh oh".

It was just a little thing, but you did it like it was just engraved in your soul to do so. And it felt so good that he just knew that he wanted one of those every day for the rest of his life.

Definitely, the last push he needed to officially ask you out.

Asahi:

Oh boy, look. Let's get the cat out of the bag and start of saying... it's gonna be dramatic... and very loud.

WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING! It's not a bad thing.

That's just who Asahi is. He's very vocal about his feelings... and noisy...

Honestly, it's for the best. That way there's no room for doubt and (cue author's toxic relationship flashbacks that I didn't delete because I find it funny) anxiety because you don't know how he really feels about you, and having to ask over and over what he's thinking... And long discussions over the same thing so nothing gets fixed and relationship slowly dying, and cheating and...

Wait, what was I saying? Oh, right.

Asahi would be AT LEAST very obvious about his feelings for you... if he doesn't just straight up say it to your face.

Like, not the second he suspects he likes you, obviously.

He do be taking his time to analyze if it's just "do I just think they're pretty and cool, funny and them being around makes my day a thousand times better, or is this an actual crush?"

I feel like he would do the thing where he talks to the mirror to ask himself about you 🤣

But once he figures out this is serious. He would hype himself up to tell you. Even picking a flower to gift you. I feel like he would try to give you a full bouquet, but his friends would suggest starting off chill, so he doesn't overwhelm you, particularly if you happen to be a shy bean.

So he meets you by the campus gardens with the flower behind his back and just gifts it to you as he effusively tells you how he feels.

He is ready for a rejection when...

It's the loveliest feeling ever to open his eyes and see that the sound was a sweet kiss to the cheek and his feelings returned.

He would do this cute thing some guys do of punching the air excitedly like "YES, YES, YES, YES!!!"

Ikuya:

Ikuya tries to act like Haru, but he is like a bazillion times easier to fluster.

Just like Sousuke, casual affection would be the end of him.

And at first, when you're just friends, it's fine!

He just gets a bit embarrassed that you peck his cheek when you greet him or say goodbye before parting ways. Just a snitch.

He does that thing he does when he's shy of puffing his cheeks and looking away red in the face.

Just as his base personality can't decide if he's a kuudere (like Haru and Sousuke) or a tsundere (Rin), and it's really cute. Honey, you're infatuated, that's what you are.

I feel like whether you're oblivious of his feelings or not, it's just funny and cute to see him all flustered when you're affectionate.

It's all friendly banter for now.

Until it isn't.

One day it changes, and the kiss feels different.

It's a full on kiss while you cup the other cheek, just overly gentle but definitely beyond friendly smooch 💋

It feels overly intimate and special. And he just loses it.

He stutters and covers his face, completely shy.

On one hand, he's happy because that confirms it? You like him too?!?!?! Yeah, u do. But he didn't know that.

He is shy, very shy, he is an absolute swooning moron.

Rei is definitely the type to try to impress you, but just makes you laugh because he never quite succeeds.

Like, you know that trope where they try to impress the love interest, but they're so bad they're actually good, and the love interest falls because "you're funny".

So you're the one to make the first move and after his swim practice, you ask him out to watch a movie or something. He's thrilled!

"Okay... I'll b-be sure to pick you up at six!" his voice is cracking he's so nervous.

OH, THE TEASING YOU UNLEASHED UPON THIS POOR BOY ONCE YOU LEFT

But he's thrilled because somehow he did it, somehow!

Nagisa:

He is probably one of the few who would take this with good grace.

Nagisa would make it clear he adores you from the start.

He's through the moon.

Nagisa is the kind to talk throughout the movie making excited or happy comments, and jokes from time to time. So depsite it being a movie, the conversation is lively. RIP the other people who paid for their ticket.

It's actually quite fun, not gonna lie. He has eyes only for you, even if he chose the movie.

After movie, you go to eat something because Nagisa is always very hungry. Impressively he pays for it all, like a gentleman (I mena, sure he asks for the rest of the swim dork squad to treat him, of course he has saved up money).

Once again, he's talking the whole time trying to entertain you with funny stories of his friends regardless if you know who he's talking about.

It's actually very endearing how eager he wants you to feel integrated to his life.

At the end of the night you thank him with a soft kiss 💋

HE DOES THAT CUTE ⭐👄⭐ HE DOES WHEN HE IS VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED

And just tackles you in a hug.

Yeah, he liked the kiss. And yeah, that's only the beginning of something bigger.

“Hey, Rin- remember when we were kids way back at the old swim school?”

“Ugh, yeah- hard to forget that.” The redhead raised an eyebrow at Nagisa, leaning away some at those mischievous eyes. Just where was he going with this? “Why?”

“Well- I was telling Rei about all the fun times we had there and it got me thinking; are you still ticklish?” The shoe dropped. Rin felt his throat constrict.

“Ugh, no. I’m not. Never was.”

“What? Of course you were! Remember all the tickle fights we had?”

“Nope, not a single one.” Nagisa’s eyes got big with shock. “Maybe you’re remembering someone else?”

“Rin- you seriously forgot?” Those eyes welled up, and Nagisa’s mouth turned downward with hurt. “I can’t believe this- all the good times and you just- you just…”

“Whoa, whoa- hold on now. Don’t cry.” Rin flapped his hands around in panic, feeling his own eyes burn. Curse his involuntary reaction of crying when other people cried! “I remember now! And…yeah, I guess I was a little ticklish.”

Nagisa was quiet, bangs hiding his eyes.

“Nagisa?” He asked, feeling suddenly nervous.

Then the blonde looked up, dry eyed and grinning.

“Gotcha!” He poked out his tongue with a wink. Before Rin could react, the smaller boy pounced, sending them both crashing backwards. “Sorry to trick you, Rin! It was the only way!”

“Ah! Aheahhahhahhahaha! N-Nahahhahagishahahhha, that wahahahs sneehahhahahaky!” Rin cackled out, batting at Nagisa’s hands as they drilled into his ribs. “Stahhahhap, stahhahahap! Gheahhahahahaha fihiihihihne I’m stiiihihihhill tihiihhiihihcklish!”

“Hehe, I know. I’m not completely convinced you actually remember, though. Let’s refresh that memory!” Nagisa giggled as he clawed at Rin’s belly, making him squeal and thrash. Feet dug into the ground behind them as he tried to escape, but Nagisa was adamant on tickling him senseless. “Come on- give me a smile for old times sake!”

Headcannons to style five if their boxer s/o nearly died in the ring (TW):

Makoto:

Man was stressed! Once he saw you go down and not come back up, he was jumping out of his seat.

Being a guy who's usually quiet he was yelling at the top of his lungs to the ref, to your coach to do something.

Once the medics rushed into the ring, he was right next to you, eyes scanning your still body.

Your poor face was bloodied and swollen, black and blue covered almost every inch as he felt sick to his stomach.

Refused to leave your side as you were rushed to the ER and made sure you had the best care.

Held your hand the whole time you were in the hospital.

When you finally woke up, he peppered your face in kisses.

You took a hiatus from boxing after the incident and Makoto was grateful for it.

Haru:

He remained quiet as he watched the match. His eyes never leaving your form as you kept getting knocked down your blood splattering the boxing ring mat.

Once he saw you go down and not get back up, he leapt up and ran to your side of the ring pushing your manager to the side and climbing in.

your opponet was freaking out as they kicked you in the side of the neck and you just went down. The medics hurried since it could be a spinal injury at that point.

He remained at your side while you were through physical therapy and surgery after surgery to correct the damange done.

Helped you do basic tasks while you recovered and made sure you were comfortable.

He knew you wanted to go back to the ring, but flashbacks to you laying unmoving in the ring flashed through his mind.

You both talked about it and you decided to take a little break from boxing to focus on yourself and Haru's relationship.

Haru made sure to hold you closer every night after that, still frightened about what happened with you.

When he saw you go down hard and not come back up, he was scared as he ran up to your manager demanding answers.

He saw your bruised and battered body unmoving in the ring as tears sprang to his eyes. Seeing you like this was terrifying, the thought of losing you like this.

He held your cold, limp hand in his all the way to the hospital, kissing it and muttering to you to wake up.

Due to the damange, you were in a coma, seeing you hooked to all of those machines got to Rin. He hated seeing you like this.

Rin talked to you every day while you were in your coma. Telling you about what was happening with your guys' friends, how your parents were doing, what they brought you and all the things you two would do when you woke up.

After three week, you finally woke up from your coma and had to go through various tests and therapy which he was there with you through it all.

When Rin brough you home he made sure to take care of you since you were still recovering. He was clingy for good reasons.

After talking to Rin you decided to take a long break from boxing after you incident and he was grateful for it.

Rei:

He never worried about you in the ring, he knew something bad would have to happen and you were a great boxer, you were unmatched.

However, when you went down and didn't get bakc up, his heart sank as he rushed to the side of the ring as he saw the medics surrounding you and load your unmoving body on a gurney.

He was with you in the ambulance, his eyes scanning your body...he was afraid to touch you in case he made something worse and your condition was already bad to start.

He broke down once the doctor left saying he wasn't sure when you'd wake up due to the severity of your injuries.

Rei visited you in the hospital every day, he couldn't stay because he couldn't handle seeing you hooked up to everything for long, his stoic demenor would fall and he had to be strong.

When he got the call you were awake, he rushed to the hospital and his heart filled with relief as he saw you smile at him when you walked into the room.

He made sure that everything was in order and made sure you were taking the correct medicines and going to the right physical therapy appointments.

After a tearful talk when he brough you home, you decided to take a hiatus from boxing and recover and spend time with Rei.

Nagisa:

He was always worried about you when you boxed. He hated seeing you get bloddied and bruised or worse. He was always your biggest cheerleader though! Screaming at the top of his lungs for you to win.

When you got hit in the back and feel, but didn't get back up, he went silent as dread filled him before he rushed to the ring jumping in without a second thought. The medics held him back since it was a back/spinal injury.

Nagisa was a mess, crying and screaming for you to wake up and to open your eyes as you were taken away, him not far behind.

He went quiet as silent tears fell, his eyes never leaving your unmoving form. Stroking the back of your hand with his thumb he was hoping you'd wake up soon.

Refused to leave your side, the only time he did was to get new clothes for him and food, other than that he stayed by your side even after you woke up.

He was clingy and affectionate, holding you, kissing you and just being with you, which was fair considering he though he lost you.

When he brought you back home, he was making sure you were comfortable and showered you with affection.

He pleaded to you one night to take a break from boxing and you agreed wiping the tears from Nagisa's face.

oh. oh. this is gonna be a long one. disclaimer: these are all headcanons purely based on vibes. purely vibes, nothing more. they're also all like, in their early to mid 20s in these headcanons for some reason. let's begin.

makoto: average, responsible socmed user that uses it in healthy doses. mainly uses facebook and instagram, if only to keep up-to-date with his loved ones. his instagram posts are always personal and heartfelt; he always writes long, meaningful captions littered with words of affirmation to show his gratitude. scrolls tiktok on occasion for cute cat videos (that he shares with ran and ren, sometimes the iwatobi group chat, other times the hybrid iwatobi-samezuka (iwasame???) group chat). likes to leave positive, uplifting comments on people's posts and igstories. wholesome socmed user, 10/10 would recommend

nagisa: DOOMSCROLLER. NEEDS SOMEONE TO MONITOR HIS SCREENTIME. SOMEONE TAKE HIS PHONE AWAY. has a youtube account where he likes to upload strange vlogs with clickbait titles (somehow manages to manipulate haru into appearing in some of his vlogs to post clickbait thumbnails every now and then after realising his viewers found haru pretty to look at). jumps on the tiktok dance trend bandwagon and ropes rei into doing it with him (successfully!!!!!!!), is very proud of doing the "NIGHT DANCER" by imase trend. is hooked on reading AITA reddit threads, which he discusses, passionately, with rei. serial igstory poster—posts literally a n y t h i n g. regular gossip forum commenter. has been shadowbanned multiple times on multiple different sites for varying reasons. sometimes posts #GRWM videos where he's putting together an outfit or doing his hair while casually detailing about how he once almost commited a felony

rei: uses socmed because it can be a, quote, "valuable source of information" for current affairs, science journalism, political debates. yes, he is THAT twitter user, often replied to with this meme:

is a sceptic when it comes to tiktok, usually asks for content creators to post verified, credible sources so he can fact-check. his instagram, however, is of course a collection of pictures of things he finds—yep, you guessed it—beautiful. shares articles he's read on igstory and gets excited when people discuss them with him

haru: contrary to popular belief, he is not entirely averse to using socmed, but uses it very scarcely. king of posting cryptic, one-word captions on his posts. could literally be in athens for the olympics and the only thing he'd post on igstory about it is a blurry pic of his foot on the pavement with the caption "hot".. reacts to his friends' igstories with "🔥" but says nothing else. his main instagram posts, however, are very aesthetic (cue beautifully-taken pictures of the pool, sky, cherry blossom petals drifting on the surface of a river, you get it). doesn't use facebook ("too much work"). is a loosey-kun fan artist on twitter. is fiercely protective of his friends (mostly rin) and would post anonymous comments arguing with haters on swimming forums

rin: king of posting (unintentional) thirst-traps (e.g. gym mirror selfies of him seated on the bench press, manspreading, phone obscuring his face). has pinterest boards for fashion inspiration, inspirational quotes, "101 Romantic Ideas for You and Your Partner".. unironically posts shit like this:

has burner accounts for stalking potential competition (perceive that however you may). used to actively use tumblr in his teen years, where he'd reblog posts of song lyrics, inspirational quotes, depressing quotes, pictures of his favourite bands on tour, swimming, scenic pictures of japan (to quell his homesickness), that ONE pretentious john green quote ("It's a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing.") gets an ego boost off comments complimenting him; plays it off by replying humbly (while secretly screenshotting everything to use as motivation to keep working out because THE GRIND NEVER STOPS 💪🏼🔥💯💯). has a burner twitter account to stalk tweets from swimming fans

sousuke: internet troll. hasn't updated instagram since 2010, his last post being a picture of him and some dudes with that ugly gingham filter slapped across it. is an admin behind a dank memes page called "Memes and Dreams".. occasionally gets on omegle to troll people. likes to reply to tweets and reddit threads with "source: trust me bro" just to piss people off and rile them up. was an avid vine user and is slowly coming to terms with tiktok being its latest replacement (will NEVER admit he enjoys tiktok). replies to rin's posts with shit like "lame" "bruh" "bffr" "😏".. gets a dopamine hit everytime rin takes the bait

Nagisa (Free!) Headcanons

You had me at Nagisa <3

Nagisa is 100% a lee! He looooves being tickled but he's pretty embarrassed about it, so for a long time he tried to hide it by either avoiding the topic entirely or outright lying to save face, and most people never thought anything of it.

Until he met Haru, Rin, and the others.

Rin especially clued in pretty fast because he's the group's resident tickle monster, and his first few times tickling Nagisa he noticed that even though he was protesting a lot, he never tried to fight him off in any way. He put it together pretty quick, and after talking to him about it Nagisa gradually began to open up to the others as well, including Rei when he came in later on.

Now they tickle him all the time!

Nagisa's laugh is cute and bubbly and giggly, but if it's a good spot he'll actually laugh really loud, which kind of surprises his lers the first time they hear it.

He also always lets it happen (unless the situation is serious or he's really not in the mood) and rarely fights back or even squirms, but even someone as tickle-hungry as Nagisa has moments of not being able to help the instinct to get away. At that point his lers always tease him about it, and OH MY WORD.

TEASING. Works wonders on this boy.

Cutesy, playful, just-doing-this-to-mess-with-you teasing is his favorite! He especially likes being called out like "oohh, you like this, don't you?" and "you don't really think you're getting away, do you?" He loves it so much, OMG.

When he's really, truly done, he makes it clear to his ler(s), but he's always a happy, giggling mess afterwards.

Nagisa loves being taken care of after a good tickling. His favorite thing to do is cuddle!

He's very rarely a ler himself, but when he is it's in short, playful bursts. He's a little awkward at it but it's endearing all the same. (He also sometimes tickles people first to provoke them into getting him back, shhh~)

Random character HCs - Nagisa Hazuki

Natural scent is like lemon, sugar strawberries and wet puppy (I love puppy smell okay)

Is a soft and sweet boy who needs hugs (this applies to most Free! boys tho)

Fond of floral, fruity deodorants

The majority of his favourite underwear is pink

Casual crossdresser (he looks good in dresses too so why not?)

The fashionable one (Rin and Ai too actually) Haru and Mako are small town country pumpkins tho so he doesn’t really have to try too hard…

Gei4Rei - Nagisa is not however just gay for Rei. He has known he was gay since he watched children’s cartoons and got a crush on Yuugi Muto. Or was it the Pharaoh? Nagisa saw Yuugi as a small-guy-idol of sorts since he was also very small compared to boys his age, and he still is.

Despite being physically smaller than all his friends, somehow takes up the most space (probably because he never stops moving)

Unexpectedly an empath/good emotional support; he loves his friends so much and would do anything to make them feel loved.

Nagisa was born premature, he almost didn’t make it and his mother was so relieved when he was okay, she kept him close to her for a long time to make sure her precious little boy wasn’t going anywhere.

Nagisa was extremely close to his mother as a child, he was her tiny baby and she snuggled him lots. This may explain why he is such a cuddly boy to this day.

Nagisa’s sisters have swapped out their clothes for his own before as a prank and poor Nagisa cried over having to wear a dress to bed at one of Haru’s sleepovers but Makoto and Haru were of course very understanding.

He also may have been his sisters’ dress up doll on more than a few occasions.

Notes: in this universe Yu-Gi-Oh is still a tv show and Yuugi is a character, not a real idol.

ahh i’m very proud of this!! first time i do something like this EVER! and i am just soso happy with how it turned out.

i had to dig so much for me to know who would suit which line, but at the end of the day it was so hard to pick as all of the boy’s seiyuus are very talented!

the reason why i didn’t put hiyori, natsuya, nao or seijuuro is simply because they didn’t have the precious birthday photos, which is very suitable with the home;run concept.

PLEASE NOTE: there was no direct translation from the japanese ver to english, so i had to use the korean ver to english translations so inaccuracies can occur!

🫧 When Haru moved to Tokyo for college, he asked you to come with him.

🫧 It’s a new city for Haru, and having you there eases his mind.

🫧 You’d probably argue about having mackerel for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so for your own sanity you decided to be the one who’d cook the meals.

🫧 Haru isn’t complaining, he thinks you’re an amazing cook

🫧 Every night he likes to break down his day with you, his head on your lap, the TV playing in the background. It helps him recharge his brain

🫧 He’s the type of boyfriend/roommate that would do your least favorite chore for you. Whether it’s laundry or dish washing or even cleaning a room, he’ll do it without even being asked

🫧 Makoto comes by every morning to make sure you both are awake and ready, since Haru’s routine has partly also become your routine.

🫧 Haru makes you come swimming with them in the mornings too. You attend the same college as Makoto though, and he hates parting ways with you after.

🫧 Nagisa isn’t always the most responsible so you’re going to be pretty much on your own when it comes to most of the chores

🫧 But it’s okay because he’ll help you while you take charge. You’re vacuuming? He’ll pick up the large debris. You’re doing laundry? He’ll fold. You’re washing dishes? He’ll dry them.

🫧 He can’t cook but he’ll buy you dinner when he can afford it between rent. You just have to make sure it’s not something absolutely bizarre

🫧 He’s a huge puppy, always follows you around the house

🫧 Probably plays video games with you on your nights in.

🫧 Nagisa cares a lot about school, though, and when he’s not at swim practice during the week he’s studying.

🫧 He’ll forget to take care of himself, so you’ll bring him tea and snacks to help keep him motivated through the work. You might have to yell at him to not get distracted if he tries to get handsy with you.

🫧 He’ll invite you out to swim on Sunday mornings, and you’ll follow your workouts up with something extra healthy for breakfast.

🫧 He sometimes feels like you provide more for him than he can provide for you. But you’ll hold him and remind him you chose to live with him because you love him.

🫧 He tells himself one day he’ll have enough money to support the both of you. He hopes he can take care of you the way you can take care of him.

🫧 Waking up with Nagisa in your arms is almost like a safe haven. He likes to sleep in the honeymoon hug position, so you might have a little drool on your arm or shirt.

🫧 He’ll get you back for making fun of him one of these days. For now, he’ll just laugh with you.

Sousuke Yamazaki

🫧 Life with Sousuke isn’t simple, and it’s not easy at times.

🫧 With his shoulder and just having surgery, you might have to pick up a lot of the house chores.

🫧 He always tries though, and that’s what counts. Healing should be his top priority, so you never hold it against him.

🫧 After his check-ups, Sousuke also likes to go on walks with you. Just to effortlessly talk and laugh about anything.

🫧 Waking up with him is so sweet. He tries to cook you breakfast since you always cook lunch and dinner. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

🫧 And when it doesn’t, he’ll just take you out to eat breakfast.

🫧 I feel like Sousuke is a chess man. If you have some free time, he’ll probably sit down and play a game of chess and just talk.

🫧 He always lets you think you’re going to win, but then he’ll put you in check before you even know it.

🫧 Pushing Sousuke to eat better is probably the thing you two argue about most. He drinks soda every day, it’s garbage and it’s bad for you.

🫧 He silently appreciates it though. Getting back into swimming won’t be easy if he lets himself get out of shape.

🫧 Sousuke is a simple man. He’ll bring you home a little sweet every day on his way home from work. Its his way of showing he appreciates you day in and day out.

Kaede "tsk...... I don't care about that stuff, whatever, " he walks away, but you can clearly see his red ears. "Ahh... you remind me of a stray cat, " you mumble. "Huh?! " He WhipsHis head back to you. " Oh, nothing...♡ " You walked away while chuckling to yourself. "The hell so funny!"
