Just had a thought James’s favorite color is blue yeah so is it because teddys hairs blue?

That's a factor, yeah 😆 James attributes the color blue with positive emotions because he's always happy when he spends time with Teddy, who always has his hair blue. After years of thinking blue = happy, it settled into his bones and everytime he sees blue it makes him happy (kind of how I always feel happy when I see pink and that's why it's my favorite color).

It's also one reason he was drawn to Caleb, because of his blue eyes and the Ravenclaw colors he wore so often. I'm sure he has a little heart attack sometimes if he sees a shade of blue that matches a bit too close to Caleb’s eyes, but he always calms down when he looks at Teddy’s turquoise hair.

I also wanted his favorite color to be different from what most people would probably expect (red) because it describes him so well in my eyes. There were tons of times I saw people say his favorite color was red and/or gold cuz, yknow, GRYFFINDOR, buuuuuut I wanted his favorite color to be a little more subtle, something that subverted the expectations of those around him, because by and large the way I characterize James Sirius Potter is that he is someone who ends up doing and being the complete opposite of what people expect of him.

Bonus reason that's inspired largely by the TBOTS AU:

Brow furrowed, he simply frowns as he stands there, almost like he's waiting for her to take the shot —

Ultimately, his own giddiness gets the best of him.

"Hey! What gives, huh? Don'tcha know it's rude to point arrows at yer guests? I might just go blind if ya don't watch it..." To emphasize his point, he taps his own finger against the patch adorning his grinning face. "Eh, whatever ~ Can't say I ever remember you bein' the most gracious hostess. Some things never change..." He sighs for dramatic effect, shaking his head as if truly disappointed by this totally unfair treatment.

You know when I know a man is not worth it? because they have a huge advantage with us fics writers. if they don't even bother into reading what we write is because they simply don't care about us. 1. Stiles left Beacon Hills to never return and left his jeep.

2. Derek saved his jeep and fixed everything. Stiles's dad flat out says Derek saved it after Stiles left and tried to fix it up. Stiles had it held together with duck tape but Derek put everything into fixing it, but it wasn't able to run perfectly.

3. In the 15 years since Stiles left to never return, it ended up in the junkyard because Derek couldn't fix it like he wanted to, but he wouldn't abandon it.

4. Eli, Derek's kid, would routinely steal it to piss Derek off.

5. After Derek died. Stiles's dad gave Eli the keys to the jeep and told him Derek had "complicated feelings about the Jeep" but it should definitely be Eli's.

So like Derek was in love with Stiles huh? Like he saved Stiles's jeep, when Stiles himself abandoned it. He tried to make it run smoothly and when he couldn't he kept it under a tarp at the junkyard to not be driven but not to be scrapped either. And then his son would regularly steal it solely to piss Derek off. Derek himself said it was just to make him mad. And then when Derek died, Sheriff Stilinski gave the keys to Eli and said he should have it and that Derek had "complicated feelings about the jeep" but it was Eli's. Derek was definitely in love with Stiles and I just.
