Just started season 8 of my Hawaii Five-0 re-watch. I deeply miss Chin and Kono. Daniel and Grace deserved a proper send off.

I don't remember how long it took me to like Tani and Junior. After 4 episodes, she's okay but he is meh.

The one addition I love is Eddie. He already is the best boy.

I forgot how much I despised Aaron Wright. I want to punch his smug face.

Harry made me laugh with his spot-on comments during the usual cargument.

I'm on the fence about the McDanno shirt. I know it is a queerbait tactic but at the same I think it was a cute wink to the fandom. At least I don't think neither Alex, Scott or Taylor did the scene with malicious intentions.

I'm still convinced Danny asked Steve to be his business partner because he is afraid of losing him to radiation poisoning. Neither of them can imagine a life without the other. McDanno is eternal.

Why did Steve bring Junior to live with him but never did with Nahele?!?! One is an adult and the other was a teen with absolutely nowhere to go. Yeah I know Junior is a veteran like Steve but I still think he had more options than Nahele did for finding a place to live.

Tptb screwed over a potential great story development for Steve. I wish we'd seen him more as a father figure for Nahele. We know he is good with Danno's kids. It could have been interesting to see Grace and Nahele growing as a sort of cousins or brother/sister.

So, trying to avoid the ending of Hawaii five-0 I've been rewatching the first seasons of the show and I have to say that I'm getting a lot of headcanons with every episode.

For start, I think Danny speaks several languages. I know that in the show he says he knows only a few phrases in russian and we see that he knows a few in spanish too, but for me it makes sense that he, as a very vocal person would have facilities to acquire languages. In my mind, Danny speaks at least spanish, russian and Italian, that way of loving Italian food has to come from somewhere.

Another thing is that in the show in Danny's hallucinations we see Charlie becoming a cop, and of course this is just Danny, but when I think about it I think it's Grace who would become a cop, at least for me Grace would be the type of girl that will call her parents from college one day just to told them that she is leaving college to join the academy.

About Charlie I imagine him joining the Navy, Danny and Steve being together or not, I really see Charlie becoming part of the Navy and even becoming a Seal.

This one actually broke my heart, but I often find myself thinking of Steve loved Freddie more than we see in the show. I think Freddie was Steve's platonic love, and his death was so hard for him that he was never really bothered to leave the Seals after his death, cause it would never be the same without him.

If the past headcanon brakes my hearts this one fixes and warms it, even though we never get to see how Steve and Nahele's relationship evolves, I really think that he and Grace are really close, they see each other as siblings, even when they stole that from us.

I also believe that Joanie and Charlie would be total best friends. My maths says that there is around a year of difference in their ages, I think that because of the transplant, Charlie is a grade below in school and that will lead to he and Joanie becoming best friends.

I'll be adding more while I see the show.

Nahele becoming a SEAL like Steve!?!?

😭😭😭😭😭

Not gonna lie, I kind of LOVE the idea of Nahlele becoming a SEAL just like Steve even though I pictured him becoming a chef or something. I never pictured Nahele joining the military.

But now I'm imagining Nahele quietly and nervously telling Steve he wants to become a SEAL and Steve being terrified and surprised but supportive. Steve and Danny seeing him off at the airport. Steve giving him something from his military days like maybe his dog tags or something idk. The whole team going to his graduation 😭 God I'm getting emotional picturing it.

I will never understand tptb with Steve´s character development.

In 6x16, he befriends Neil, goes and plays with him. Then the storyline is dropped. I don't think Steve would break his promise to come back the next Saturday. The writers could not even throw a line telling us if the friendship still exists.

And don't get me started on Nahele. Why the fuck didn't the writers made Steve his legal guardian/foster parent?! Especially after 6x21 when the dad is killed.

Tptb put time and effort to show the growth in Steve's emotional intelligence. And it goes nowhere. Why can't Steve have friends outside Five-0 & the navy? I love the Ohana but he still deserves to have people not involved in the worst of humanity.

After re-watching those 2 episodes, the writers done Steve, Nahele and Neil dirty. Imagine Nahele and Neil becoming friends through Steve. It could have been something interesting to see evolved.

HELLO YES i always keep forgetting that 6.09 not only has danny and eric’s glorious undercover stint at the university, but also a lot of nahele, because it’s the start of the subplot around his father, and i had specifically also forgotten that when nahele’s father is granted custody of him and he storms out of court, he goes to hide in the marquis in steve’s garage.

now, firstly: the car that he’s been working on with steve!! in steve’s garage!! where steve would almost definitely find him!! is NAHELE’S SAFE SPOT. i cry

secondly: seeing as nahele let himself in, this means that either steve doesn’t lock his doors when he’s not at home (entirely possible, but would be kind of wilfully stupid at this point), or that nahele broke in (also possible, but feels like the kind of thing that would have been mentioned if it had been true), OR that nahele has a key because steve gave it to him (the most likely option, imo, and also the one that feels the most in character for steve and that i just really want to be true, so it’s the one i’m going with).
