Nahikari García : Madridistas, I am writing to let you know that I am saying goodbye to this adventure that I was so excited about. I would have loved to celebrate much more by your side. I feel that I have put everything in my power, that I have fought and emptied myself, but there are things that cannot be fought against, and sometimes knowing how to leave is also winning. It's not always how you dream, but how it has to be. I leave with a backpack full of experiences that I would never have imagined. I hope I have been able to convey to you what it meant to me to wear this shirt every day and have made you enjoy it. I want to thank all the people who have crossed my path during these two years, because everything I have experienced, both the good and the less good, has helped me discover a new Nahikari. This stage has taught me a lot about football, but also about life. There's a long way to go, and you never know if our paths might cross again. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to fulfill so many of my childhood dreams. But above all, thank you for making it possible for my guardian angel to see me dressed in white. THANK YOU!
Unfortunately, we are saying goodbye to Nahikari García

Note
With the names on the back of the jersey they may be some other reasons as well;
I know Virgil Van Dijk and Memphis Depay have their first names because they don’t want to take their fathers surname because they weren’t involved in their life, which is very sad but I understand
Sometimes players have really long names or names that difficult to pronounce like the Striker from Napoli (Khvicha Kvaratskhelia), so it’s better for them to have their first name
Ik with the Spanish players a lot of them have surnames with are the same like Nahikari García and Olga Carmona García. And I know González is also a very common surname as well. So sometimes it’s easier for players to use their first names because in Latin culture people take both their paternal and maternal surnames. So it makes things more complicated.
Sometimes it’s really just personal preference to be called by their first name compared to their surname.
I hope this helped that anon out.
:)
