The Mosley Review: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

I bet I've used this analogy before, but it is totally warranted for this film. The film was like a 3 layered cake. The bottom layer was your base and everything you expect from a Marvel film. It has the comedy that is fun, but takes away from the more dramatic parts when it doesn't need to. The second layer is where you have the heart of the character's origin story that is both by the numbers, but breaks the mold in so many refreshing ways. The villain of the story is also so well fleshed out that you can empathize with him. The top layer is where it really gets satisfying with its burst of an all new flavor that hasn't been served in quite sometime. Martial arts films have always delivered such beauty and history within their visuals and fights scenes and this film does that in spades. Every fight scene is gorgeously choreographed and beautifully shot to where you follow the action, feel each punch and move with the characters without shaking the hell out of the camera. This has by far the best fight scenes I've ever seen since The Raid films. The icing on this cake is perfectly toped with a cherry that signifies the amount of care taken by the amazing cast. This film should not be this perfect and yet I am completely perplexed by its effortless delivery.

Simu Liu was outstanding as Xu Shang Chi. I liked that he wasn't the hero type right off the bat and the fact that we had time to learn his story and see him grow was excellent. His charm and physicality reminded me so much of the great Jackie Chan in his earlier days. Awkwafina was fun as his best friend Katy and she was a handful at times. She almost became the plucky side kick that delivers all the jokes and then quickly has nothing else to do, but I'm so happy that she had a purpose in the film and wasn't wasted. Their chemistry was perfect and I can't wait to see more of them. Meng'er Zhang was strong and powerful as Shang's sister estranged sister Xu Xialing. She represented the other slice of life Shang could've had and I loved their interactions. She was a true force and I loved that underneath all that strength was the sister that just wanted her brother to return. Fala Chen really was the heart of the film as their mother Ying Li. She brought to the life the mysticism and beauty this story deserved and you truly fall in love with her. Michelle Yeoh was graceful, powerful and the badass she is known to be and as Ying Nan, she was unstoppable. She embodied the wisdom and skill a leader of a secret realm should be and it was great to see in Michelle in action once again. Marvel has had a problem with their villains being so shallow. Outside of Thanos, Killmonger or Loki, none of them have really had as much depth, but now that problem has been solved. Tony Leung was fantastic as the Shang Chi's father Xu Wenwu and I loved the amount of emotional depth that was brought to his character. You understand his point of view and you empathize with him. There is so much pain in his eyes and you feel his heart harden once tragedy befalls him. I can finally say that we have another great villain that was somewhat miss understood.

The score by Joel P West is truly wonderful and fun! It follows the traditional sound of Chinese film and has the right mix of epic and mythic tones as the film progresses. The cinematography was beyond wondrous with the vast array of colors and the way the fight sequences are filmed. Like I said before, my biggest fear was that the camera was gonna shake so bad that you couldn't look at the screen almost like the Bourne films. All of those scenes were wonderfully shot and felt like the filmmakers TRULY studied how to film martial arts on camera. The bus fight was great, but the bamboo scaffolding fight was by far my favorite as it felt like a love letter to icons like Jackie Chan and Jet Li's style of using the environment as a story element. This was one of the most well backed cakes the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever delivered to us and I can't wait to have another slice. Definitely stick around for both end credits scenes. ONE PUNCH MAN (the obvious 1st choice lol)

Genre: Action/ Shounen

Expectation: OP protagonist with riveting backstory fights to become the strongest hero, makes many friends along the way who recognize his talents and pure heart, big bad scary villains make him stronger

Reality: OP protagonist is already the strongest hero. His backstory? After fighting a lobster-man with nipples drawn on him with a Sharpie, Saitama decides to do a workout routine every day, and somehow ends up becoming the most powerful known being in the universe. His main issue is that now, he literally can take down any villain with a single punch, and he’s very bored of it.

Best Qualities: Animation is bomb, music is dope, humor is funnie, and Best Boy is a man whose superpower is riding a bicycle. Also Saitama egg head

If you were in a coma for all of 2015, this is the main thing u missed. Moving on.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki)

Genre: Romance/ Comedy/ Slice of Life

Expectation: Smol shoujo protag girl grows closer to her oblivious crush through a fated, if awkward, incident which reveals an embarrassing secret that has to be kept at all costs. Through one another they gain more quirky friends, help each other grow, and, eventually, the male lead realizes that what he needs has been beside him all along.

Reality: The crush writes romance manga, and that is literally all the man cares about. It’s not a secret, but when he told people they didn’t believe him. Nozaki and Sakura grow closer, but only because he confuses her confession with a request to be his Beta. They gain quirky friends through one another, but there is zero character development throughout the entire fucking cast. Every episode is run by Idiot Plot. All the characters share a singular brain cell. There’s a tall butch lady turning every girl in the school gay. Please watch

Best Quali-teas: Everyone is baby, lots of gay shenanigans, and toxic masculinity does not exist, the OP is pretty nice, too

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. / Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan

Genre: Shounen/ Supernatural/ Fucking Everything tbh

Expectation: Slice-of-life supernatural where protag has psychic powers, albeit limited ones, and has to keep them a secret at all costs for fear of his safety. He has a few friends he loves and cherishes, and at least two girls who are in love with him that he has to choose between-- all of which are people he wants to protect from his double-life.

Reality: Kusuo is very aware that he is the protagonist of an anime, and he does not want to be. Born with pink hair? He rewrites the human genome to make colored hair normal. End of the world looming? He just keeps rewinding time so he doesn’t have to deal with it. Harem situation? He actively uses his powers to avoid all love interests at all times (see the above). The plot of each episode is him trying to stop the plot as quickly as possible without killing anyone. The main issue is that everyone around him is either dumb or just generally attractive to plot-driving circumstances, and they all, for some reason, want him to be in on their adventures.

Best Qualities: Heavy “me and the boys” energy, plenty of Idiot Plot, so funny that my 47yo mom who hates anime admitted that it’s funny, meta as fuck, occasionally sweet scenes, equally good dub and sub, Saiki is babie

The fandom for this shit is like. Nonexistent. Apparently it came out the same season as Mob Psycho 100, so that might be why. I almost didn’t watch it, but I got bored and it turned out to be a serious gem. Go watch if ur having a bad day, it will make u cry laughing

Sakamoto Desu Ga/ Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto

Genre: Slice of life/ Comedy

Expectation: God I don’t even know. I’d say a typical slice of life where the quiet kid is bullied but makes friends, there’s a love triangle as they grow up together through high school, yadda yadda, but look at this dude. I can’t imagine him being anything other than what he is-- a legend.

Reality: The entire show is just a question of how extra one man can be, and how well he can pull it off. Sakamoto is an “average” high school senior (in the sense that he has no supernatural abilities), but he’s....far more than that. He’s Sebastian Michaelis if he’d never been a demon. Everything always works out for him in the most ridiculous of ways-- he’s just that good. He makes a McDonald’s uniform look like Prada. He’s so smooth his bully ends up having a crush on him (and yes, it is a gay crush. no heteros in this show).

Best Qualities: lots of homo content. the side characters, inspired by Sakamoto’s grace, all become better people, and you root for them. The circumstances are always average, but the presentation is fucking riveting. Watch to send ur depression into remission.

Nichijou/ My Ordinary Life

Genre: Slice of Life/ Comedy

Expectation: Cute girls do cute, girly things and have fun with Their Close Good Friends (TM).

Reality: Cute girls get into very bizarre situations with extremely manic energies. Sometimes, the situations are normal, but the girls react in a bizarre, manic fashion. It will make you alarm-laugh.

Best Qualities: Adorable art style, little continuity, relatable as fuck

A nice little watch if you’re bored. I think the eps are on YouTube.

Pop Team Epic/ Poputepepiku

Genre: Only God Knows

Expectation: Probably a cutesy 4koma-type thing with 2 schoolgirls having shenanigans.

Reality: A regular acid trip with lesbian icons Popuko and Pipimi who are not schoolgirls, but gods. Like if Eric Andre and Hannibal Buress were turned into omnipotent anime icons. Watch at your own risk.

Best Qualities: Lots of unexpected parodies and references amongst a shitpost of a show. The OP is a bop. Popuko terrifies me, but also empowers me as a young woman because she will not hesitate to kill a bitch. She and Pipimi love each other a whole lot, so it is LGBTQ content, which is always a plus.

I’m sure you’ve seen this one floating around. It will make you feel fear, and then laugh. Now, finally...

Ouran Highschool Host Club

Genre: Romance/ Comedy

Expectation: The protagonist is a girl who is mistaken for a boy and must be the servant of six rich, handsome young men, all of which are in love with her, and her secret must be kept at all costs. A reverse harem anime with plenty of fanservice.

Reality: Haruhi is a genderfluid queen who doesn’t give a fuck what others think she is. Because she broke a Conveniently-Placed Vase and is relatably poor, she has to pay off her debt by being a host herself-- which means male-presenting when flirting with her female classmates to make her dough. The six rich, handsome young men all share three brain cells, and most of those cells go to the character who has one line per episode (usually, it’s “Yeah”. I hope that VA got paid well). The only love interest-- the “leader” and most popular of the six men-- is so dead-set on their club being his Found Family, he confuses his romantic feelings for Haruhi with paternal ones. This is obvious to everyone but him. He never gets the brain cells.

Best Qualities: Trans characters!! Lesbians!! Extreme “me and the boys” energy, except they’re all rich, so shenanigans skyrocket. Many 4th wall breaks. The most powerful Host looks like he’s 5. Any “fanservice” is never played straight. Takes the Found Family trope to a whole new level. Nice Parks & Rec-quality balance between hysterical and sweet. Everyone is in drag at some point.

I know all of us senior citizens grew up on this shit, but you younguns need to watch the classics to appreciate the newfangled stuff. I recommend watching when you’re in a cheesy rom-com mood.

The tale of Angela Mao, from worldwide fame to quiet anonymity, is a kind of quintessential New York story. In the 1970s, she was Lady Kung Fu, possibly the most famous martial arts actress of her time, positioned by Hong Kong studios as a female Bruce Lee. She vanished a decade later only to recently resurface in Queens where she is running Taiwanese restaurants.

A New York Times article in November found Ms. Mao, now 66, living quietly in the borough with her family, and with almost no hint of her glamorous past. And it was quite remarkable: Quentin Tarantino has cited her as an influence; she was in “Enter the Dragon”; a teenage Jackie Chan appeared in her early films; and she has been hailed as an unsung feminist icon.

But for more than 30 years, only faint rumors circulated about her life in New York. In that interview, Ms. Mao was baffled to learn that people still had any interest in her at all and was also indifferent toward her legacy. But since then, the oldest of her three restaurants, Nan Bei Ho, has become something of a bucket-list destination for kung-fu fans.

Catatan Hari Kedua Lapuak-lapuak Dikajangi #2

Selasa, 16 Oktober 2018 menjadi hari yang tidak bisa dilupakan oleh para partisipan Lapuak Lapuak Dikajangi (LLD) #2 beserta rekan-rekan Komunitas Gubuak Kopi. Pagi hari itu menjadi pagi yang sangat melelahkan untuk bangun, disebabkan pada dini hari sekitar jam 3, para partisipan dan penghuni kamar di Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) Kota Solok, dibangunkan oleh kehadiran maling yang kepergok memasuki salah satu kamar dari partisipan LLD #2, sontak membangunkan orang seisi SKB dan berhamburan berlari mengejar maling tersebut. Karenakan bangun dalam posisi terkejut para partisipan dan rekan-rekan Gubuak Kopi yang ikut mengejar masih sedikit kebingungan mencari ke mana arah maling itu lari.

Sambil berteriak “itu nyo a” (itu dia), teriak Albert berlari menuju keluar gedung bersama para partisipan dan rekan-rekan lainya.

Semua yang terbangun ikut mengejar, tapi maling itu berhasil kabur, karena di depan Gedung SKB Kota Solok ada teman si maling menunggu dengan motor. Mereka berhasil membawa 3 telepon genggam dan salah satunya milik Joe Datuak.

Sudah jatuh tertimpa tangga pula, bukan malingnya yang didapat. Malam itu Albert terjatuh saat mengejar maling tersebut, alhasil lukanya cukup dalam, di kedua lutut dan telapak tangan sampai celana panjangnya robek. Untung saja ada kak Dewi, partisipan dari Pekanbaru Riau. Layaknya seorang dokter dadakan, Kak Dewi sangat sigap menangani luka pada lutut dan telapak tangan Albert.

Sembari Kak Dewi membersihkan luka bang Albert, Joe Datuak yang seharusnya sedih karena telpon genggamnya dibawa kabur maling tapi masi tetap humoris “waih, ko ba-operasi kaki mah bet” (wah, ini harus dioperasi loh, bert), sambil memasang lampu bersama saya untuk menerangi Kak Dewi yang tengah membersihkan luka bang Albert. Sementara Volta dan Hafiz mencari beberapa obat dan perlengkapan medis yang belum kami punya.

Kejadian ini tidak menjadi hambatan untuk melanjutkan kegiatan. Tepat jam 9:30 Joe membangunkan saya, berat sekali rasanya badan digerakan karena kejadi semalam. Jam 11:00 kurang lebih kegiatan di hari kedua pun dimulai. Sekitar dua jam lebih para partisipan beserta rekan-rekan dari Gubuak Kopi menonton filem Harimau Tjampa (Djayakusuma, 1954). Filem yang juga menghadirkan konstruksi bagaimana adab dalam belajar silek di Minangkabau, serta permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh lakonnya utamanya pada filem tersebut.

Filem Harimau Tjampa yang berdurasi 97 menit ini merupakan film Indonesia yang dirilis pada tahun 1953 dan mendapatkan penghargaan di Festival Film Indonesia pada tahun 1955 untuk kategori Skenario terbaik. Film yang disutradarai oleh D. Djajakusuma ini melibatkan beberapa orang aktor terbaik di antaranya Bambang Hermanto berperan sebagai lakonnya yang bernama Lukman, Datuak Langit diperankan oleh Rd Ismail, Nurnaningsih, Titi Savitri, Wahid Chan, dan Malin Marajo. Penulis naskah Nazaruddin Naib Alwi Dahlan. Musik oleh Tjok Sinsoe.

Selesai menonton film para partisipan dan rekan-rekan dari Gubuak Kopi pun beristirahat dan makan siang. Sebagian ada yang tidur, dan sebagian lagi ada yang ngobrol-ngobrol di luar kamar.

Sore harinya, saya bersama rekan-rekan Gubuk Kopi dan seniman partisipan, ditemani oleh salah seorang pemuda di daerah sekitar SKB Kota Solok, kami pergi bersilaturahmi bersama warga sekitar. Antara lain, Ketua RT, RW, dan pemuda-pemuda di sini. Perjalanan silaturahminya sangat menyengkan dan lucu, di mana teman kami Palmer dari Amerika menjadi aktor penting dalam rombongan. Hampir setiap tikungan orang-orang memanggilnya.

“Dak dolai lah, jadi anak galeh” (Jadi icon), kata Joe kepada rombongan, dan semua rombongan tertawa mendengarkan.

“eh, nanti kalau orang sini tanya, nama kamu siapa dan dari mana, nanti lu jawab, namo ambo Pardi, ambo dari Solok“ tambah Joe kepada Palmer. Seketika nama Parmer berganti saja menjadi Pardi, Setelah itu setiap orang yang menanyakan nama dan dari mana si Palmer dia selalu jawab “namo ambo Pardi, ambok dari Solok” (Nama saya Pardi, Saya dari Solok), kata palmer, dan orang orangpun tertawa.

Perjalanan berlanjut ke tengah sawah untuk menemui Pak RW yang ternyata pergi menjaga padi dari serangan burung, atau orang di sini bilang “manggaro” (menjaga sawah dari serangan hama seperti burung).

Partisipan sangan menikmati pemandangan di sawah, perlahan berjalan di pematang sawah yang kecil menuju ke pondok tempat Pak RW berada. Sesampainya di pondok Pak RW, para partisipan dan rekan-rekan dari Gubuak Kopi berhenti sejenak. Sembari duduk di pematang sawah Joe membuat Pupuik Batang Padi, semacam alat musik, ia dibuat dari ruas batang padi. Para partisipan memperhatikan Joe yang memaikan Pupuik Batang Padi, dan ikut mencoba pula. Menjelang senja rombongan pun bergerak menuju SKB.

Setalah sampai di SKB rombongan pun beristirahat sejenak. Sekitar jam setengah sembilan Buya Khairani pun datang. Beliau langsung saja melebur bersama para partisipan dan rekan-rekan dari Gubuak Kopi di halaman depan kamar para partisipan. Diskusi dan bercerita pun disambung di ruangan bersama Buya Khairani yang malam itu menjadi pemateri. Tema diskusi kali ini yaitu “Mendalami Bela Diri Silat atau Pencak Silat”.

Buya Khairani adalah salah seorang tokoh adat di Solok. Ia juga aktif memberi petuah-petuah adat di beberapa radio di Solok. Buya Khairani pun memulai diskusi. Di sini beliau banyak memaparkan fakta sejarah tentang silek, dan apa itu silek.

“Silek itu dibagi dua di antaranya pencak dan laga”, tutur Buya Kharani. Lanjutnya “kalau pencak itu biasanya untuk pementasan atau lebih mengkaji estetikanya, sedangkan laga lebih mengkaji substansi atau kemampuan si pesilat itu tadi”.

Merujuk pada pengertian silek menurut Buya Khairani silek itu berasal dari kata silah yang berarti melangkah atau langkah, atau bisa juga diartikan sebagai silaturahim dan kekerabatan. “kalau urang minang ko harus pandai basilek, silek tu bukan hanyo jo gerakan, tapi ado nanjo lidah, aaa.. tu silek lidah namonyo” (Kalau orang minang itu harus pandai bersilat, silat itu bukan hanya gerakan, tapi ada juga dengan lidah, nah itu silek lidah namanya), ujar beliau. Menurut Buya Khairani para perantauan Minang itu harus tahu dengan nan ampek (yang empat), dan harus pandai dalam empat hal juga, di antaranya; Pandai Mamasak artinya orang minang di perantauan tidak boleh hilang akal untuk makan dan mencari makan, harus tahu halal dan haram, yang kedua Pandai Manjaik (Pandai Menjahit) artinya harus pandai mengukur keadaan, yang ketiga Pandai Malangkah (Pandai Melangkah), artinya dia harus tau dan mengerti apa yang hendak dikerjakannya, dan yang terakhir Pandai Mangaji (Pandai Mengaji atau mebaca Al-Qur’an), yang mana orang minang itu identik dengan agama.

“meskipun preman di kampung, tidak pernah sholat, tapi kalau di rantau di bisa mangaji dan azan di masjid” (Walaupu dia seorang preman, di kampung tidak sholat, tapi biasanya di rantau dia mengaji dan adzan di mesjid), jawab Buya Khairani. Empat hal tersebut merupakan modal utama untuk orang Minang pergi ke perantauan.

Dalam diskusi malam itu Buya Khairani juga menceritakan sedikit sejarah tentang asal muasal suku-suku di Minangkabau. Kata Buya ada beberapa gerakan pokok silek di Minangkabau seperti: Simpia (menungkai kaki), Gelek (Bertahan atau mengelak sabil merancang serangan), Dongkak (Terjangan), dan Tapiah (Tepis). Dan beliau juga menjelaskan mengenai aliran silek di setiap daerah di Minangkabau seperti: Sacabiak Kain Kapan dari Tiku Pariaman, Harimau Singalang dari Bukittingi, Ulu Ambek dari Padang Pariaman, Buayo Lalok dari Pesisir Selatan, Silek Darek dari daerah pegunungan daerah Minang Kabau, Silek Kabau Lia dari Sijunjung Sawahlunto.

Buya Khairani juga menjelaskan keterkaitan silek dengan agama dan pituah-pituah adat yang ada di Minangkabau. Seperti “kok lawan pantang dicari, kok basuo pantang dielakkan” (Tidak pernah mencari lawan, tapi kalau datang tidak pernah lari atau menghindar), pituah ini menjelaskan kalau seorang pesilat tidak pernah mencari lawan tapi kalau ketika lawan datang dia tidak akan lari.

“Aso ilang dua tabilang” (satu hilang dua terbilang atau terbaca), maksudnya adalah kalau hilang satu yang dua lagi terbilang atau diketahui, jadi seorang pesilat itu harus bertanggung jawab akan hal yang telah dilakukannya. Sepertinya ketika terjadi perselisihan antara pesilat yang tidak dapat dihindari, dan ketikan salah seorang berhasil melukai atau terkena serangan dari kerisnya, maka hulu dari keris itu yang tercabut dan kerisnya tertinggal. Itu merupakan pertanda atau sebagai bukti bangi seorang pesilat yang telah melakukannya.

Diskusi berjalan sangat menyenangkan karena disetiap materi yang disampaikan Buya Khairani ada saja gurauan yang disampaikannya, dan partisipanpun juga sangat mengerti dengan apa yang disampaikan oleh Buya Khairani. Beliau berharap kepada partisipan dan rekan-rekan Gubuak Kopi agar kelak tetap peduli akan sejarah, seni, dan kebudayaan. Diskusi berakhir dan Buyapun berpamitan untuk pulang.

Hari kedua kegiatan LLD #2 menjadi hari yang menyenangkan dan sekaligus melelahkan, diawali dengan musibah dan diakhiri dengan diskusi dan pembicaraan yang menghibur sekaligus menambah wawasan. Partisipan dan rekan-rekan dari Gubuak Kopi langsung kembali ke kamar masing-masing untuk beristirahat, karena hari ini cukup melelahkan.

Ý nghĩa của bức Tranh thêu Phật Quan Thế Âm Bồ Tát

Hiện nay, tranh thêu phật bà Quan Âm đang được nhiều người, đặc biệt là các Phật tử lựa chọn để treo ở nơi tôn kính nhất trong gia đình. Với ý nghĩa tốt đẹp và luôn mang đến cho mọi người sự bình an, thanh tịnh nên bức tranh này đã dần trở thành sự lựa chọn hàng đầu cho các phòng thờ của người Việt.

Tranh tranh phật bà Quan Âm hiện được thể hiện với nhiều phong thái khác nhau. Có bức tranh Quan Âm Bồ Tát ngồi thiền trên tòa sen. Có bức tranh người đứng giữa Kim Đồng- Ngọc Nữ. Cũng có bức tranh thêu Quan Âm Bồ Tát đang cầm bình nước cam lộ và cành dương liễu để cứu độ chúng sinh. Mỗi một phong thái khác nhau của bức tranh đều toát ra vẻ thoát tục, và tôn nghiêm của người.

Truyền thuyết về Phật Quan Âm Bồ Tát

Khi lựa chọn tranh thêu tay Quan Âm Bồ Tát thì bạn cần biết được một chút ít về truyền thuyết của người. Như vậy thì bạn mới biết được vị sao tranh Quan Âm Bồ Tát lại được nhiều người lựa chọn đến vậy.

Tương truyền, Quan Âm Bồ Tát là danh hiệu của một vị Phật đáng lẽ đã chứng quả Phật nhưng vì muốn cứu độ chúng sinh nên đã nguyện ở lại cõi ta bà. Người còn được nhân gian gọi với nhiều danh hiệu khác như: Quan Âm Phật, Quan Thế Âm, Quan Âm Nam Hải, Phổ Đà Phật Tổ, v.v… Theo lời kinh Phổ Môn thì khi người dân gặp cảnh nguy nan thì có thể niệm pháp danh của Ngài là được cứu vớt. Ngoài ra thì niệm danh hiệu nào của Ngài thì được linh ứng và giải cứu ngay. Trong Phật pháp thì quyền pháp năng lực của Quan Thế Âm cao siêu, chỉ sau phật Tổ Như Lai.

Theo các cuốn kinh Phật ghi lại thì Quan Thế Âm đã phân thân giáng trần ba mươi ba kiếp với nhiều hoàn cảnh và thân thế khác nhau để trải qua những hỉ nộ ái ố của nhân gian để thức tỉnh và đi vào con đường tu thành chính quả.

Ý nghĩa của Tranh Thêu Tay Phật Bà Quan Âm

Sở dĩ, bức tranh thêu tay phật bà Quan Âm không chỉ được các Phật tử dùng để phụng thờ hay trang trí ở những nơi tôn nghiêm mà trong gia đình Việt cũng có nhiều người lựa chọn tranh của Ngài để treo là bởi bức tranh này tượng trưng cho một đức tin sâu sắc về tín ngưỡng. Tranh Quan Âm Bồ Tát luôn giúp con người có tâm thanh tịnh hơn, hướng thiện . Ngoài ra, bức tranh này còn mang ý nghĩa an ủi, nhắc nhở con người đem lại nguồn an vui cho tất cả chúng sanh.

Bên cạnh đó thì hình ảnh Quan Thế Âm là nữ giới chính là biểu hiện cho hành tư bi tựa như tình thương của người mẹ. Đó là tính thương vô điều kiện mà không một thứ gì có thể so sánh được.

Nếu bạn quan sát và để ý kỹ thì trong tất cả các bức tranh phật bà Quan Âm Ngài đều cầm trên tay phải là cành dương liễu và tay trái Ngài cầm bình nước cam lộ. Hình ảnh này mang ý nghĩa rất sâu sắc. Bình nước cam lộ ngọt và mát thể hiện cho việc chan rải tình thương của Ngài tới những số phận khổ cực chốn nhân gian. Dòng nước này sẽ cứu độ chúng sinh và giúp chúng sinh thanh tịnh. Cành dương liễu mềm, dẻo tượng trưng cho đức nhẫn nhục của con người. Hình ảnh cành dương liệu này tượng trưng cho việc nếu muốn đem lòng từ bi ban rải cho chúng sanh được an vui mà thiếu đức nhẫn nhục thì lòng từ bi khó thực hiện được.

Nên treo Tranh Thêu Tay Quan Âm Bồ Tát ở đâu
