you padded barefoot from the bedroom into the kitchen, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. nanami’s shirt draped over your shoulders loosely, stopping mid thigh. the fabric was soft against your skin and the smell of his cologne faintly lingered.

your heart swelled at the sight of his unkempt blond locks and his tired sleepy eyes. you crept up from behind him as you watched him bring a steaming cup of black coffee to his lips, eyes carefully trailed on the morning paper held up by his other hand. you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, burying your face into the crook of his neck and placing tiny kisses along his jaw in between giggles.

nanami, just the night before and many more nights before that, has seen and felt all of you. but the feeling couldn’t compare to how his heart quickened pace hearing you laugh and feeling your smile against his skin.

you’ve tried time and time again to get him flustered by texting him extremely inappropriate things when he’s at work and surrounded by colleagues, sending him lewd pictures and videos of yourself when he’s away on a mission, getting dolled up when you meet him so he gets to open you up like a present.

what he never told you was how much more you flustered him like this, when you pranced around in his too big of a shirt not a damn clue how much you drive him crazy. settling on his lap, he couldn’t help the way his large hands trailed up your thigh, your skin soft and supple against his palm. you trailed off in the midst of discussing brunch options as you felt his strong hand tangling in your hair, you instinctively nuzzled your cheek into his palm before he pulled you in a deep kiss.

when you parted for air and met his intense gaze, it felt as though electricity was coursing through your veins. you saw him open and close his mouth but he felt like the words just weren’t enough to encompass how he felt but his eyes told you just enough. you understood without a word, he looked at you like you were the best thing that ever happened to him and that he would go to the ends of the earth for you.
