Plot Synopsis:
This season is the continuation of season one about the Aglaeca's curse. Nancy and her friends are trying to find a solution to stop the curse. Ryan will attempt to redeem himself through forging a father-daughter bond with Nancy while keeping her parentage a secret from the rest of his powerful family. Nancy will also find a way forward with her adoptive father Carson Drew by becoming an investigator for his legal practice. Her adventures will bring the Drew Crew standalone cases, new romances, and emotional journeys of self-reinvention as Nancy tries to navigate with both her biological parent and the man who raised her – but the compounding intrigue and menace of the Hudson family will ultimately force her to make a life-altering choice between her two fathers.
The plotline for this season is intrigue and even better than the first season. It also has great potential to get more seasons. Each character development is really good. The concept about the wraith is really interesting, and a great idea. They identity issue of Nancy is well showned here. The thing I didn't like, personally, was the fact that Nancy couldn't live without having a boyfriend/lover. Gil was the worst boyfriend she had. The guy is full of red flag. He is short-tempered, controlling, just like what he does with his twin sister, and violent. I never like him as he is an annoying, stubborn, know-it-all guy, and thinks he is a playboy. Well, just my opinion.
I like Nancy and Ace's chemistry together. They knew they like each other more than friends, but were already in a relationship with other people. Also, they are contemplating whether to confess or stay as friends.
Of course, Bess and Ace's friendship is the best. They are very supportive and cheer each other up. They are the kind of friendship that everyone wants. They can count on each other. Listen and give advice to each other. Anyway, I still don't get why they are all blaming Nancy the Aglaeca's curse. It's not like Nancy asked for their help. They were the ones, who insisted on helping her. So, it is not entirely Nancy's faults. They are also to blame. As Nancy said in the first season that she works alone. Of course, I wouldn't discredit their efforts. I mean, Nancy wouldn't have solved all of those cases without their help, but still they offered.
Overall, season two really great. It is full of new mysteries, adventures, hauntings, and more.

I feel like in media it’s very typical to see characters in a high school setting and then their life magically works out and they go to their dream school or there’s a time jump and we see them fresh out of college. And those stories are important because of course it’s normal to struggle in high school (and hey that’s the target audience). But what I love about Nancy Drew, is we get to see what happens after high school and from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have things “magically workout”. We get to see a “high school burnout”; someone who had all of these hopes and dreams and plans, only for life to not turn out the way they expected. We see her struggle with grief and mental health. We see her figuring out who this person is that she has become and accepting that her identity and her worth aren’t tied to those plans she had for herself. And it’s SO refreshing to see because it’s such a real experience and struggle that people face (myself included).
Furthermore, the same can be said for the other members of the Drew Crew as well. We see characters who all are dealing with their own hardships and trauma all of which have some part that is deeply relatable. We see experiences like not living up to parents’ expectations, relationship trauma, having to take on too much responsibility from a young age, a desire to have a family, learning self-forgiveness, and figuring out what one’s purpose is (and so much more). The show starts with a group of people who started out not where they thought they would be in life and we get to see them grow and develop through their experiences with one another and figure out this crazy thing called life.

Remember this scene? Ace acting like he is being love spelled. 😂😂😂
And Nancy looks like she is gonna slap him right onto his pretty face, to get him back into the reality. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (Also, the audacity he had to look at Nancy with that smile 🤣🤣.)
