❱ ⟣ sakurayashiki kaoru is very sweet — a large gift-giver, for sure
❱ ⟣ he uses his skills in calligraphy for the betterment of gift-giving, and now you practically have a surplus of beautifully written kanji on scrolls, pieces of wood, canvases, and the likes
❱ ⟣ he’s a incredibly gentle and romantic; genuine arguments are sparse and will normally dissolve into mere banter. and since he’s so classy, his favorite type of date is when he treats you out to an expensive dinner, where the both of you can just talk with each other and relax over food
❱ ⟣ nanjo kojiro definitely knows about you, and it is a constant source of entertainment for him. he wouldn’t stand down from either teasing sakurayashiki, or just straight up telling you embarrassing stories of their high school years
❱ ⟣ you thought it was cute, though, because your boyfriend would then get very flustered
❱ ⟣ okay, but he’s also a dumbass. sometimes he isn’t too sure what to do, or how to react to something, and he worries that his natural instincts are wrong. so what does he do? home boy literally asks carla for relationship advice (but he tries to do it discreetly)
❱ ⟣ as for physical affection, it comes fairly natural to him. he won’t deny his need for you touch as he’d pull you closer and embrace you at any time. and, his favor give place to kiss you is either your forehead, or temples — “the most genuinely loving places to kiss,” he once explained to you
❱ ⟣ his kisses are very gentle and genuine; he’s just an incredibly soft man when showing you physical affection
❱ ⟣ he’s also open about his feelings — though depending on how embarrassing he deems his emotions, he may be more hesitant. all he needs is reassurance, however, and he’ll be good to have a hearty talk
❱ ⟣ definitely expect a life of peace and tranquility with him
❱ ⟣ seeing as hasegawa langa doesn’t put focus anywhere else, you two probably met at S
❱ ⟣ he had seen you skate, or skated with you. either way, no matter how good you were, that familiar heartbeat of exhilaration throbbed against his chest, and he wanted to stake with you more
❱ ⟣ skating with you was genuinely fun, and he enjoyed it. sometimes, he’d even skate with both you and kyan reki, who was also more than happy to have you join them
❱ ⟣ your relationship would be one of learning. you’d teach him how to write and read japanese, and he’d teach you words in english
❱ ⟣ other than that, your relationship was very active, as well. the both of you would often skate together, and hasegawa had even shown interest in teaching you how to snowboard
❱ ⟣ please help him. god, he is so awkward. first of all, he wouldn’t be the one to confess. and if he was, then he was incredibly red and flustered. what most likely happened was that kyan had to give him a lot of encouragement and advice (which, honestly, was not very good advice)
❱ ⟣ but once in a relationship, his shyness is very cute. there’ll be moments where he wants to do or say something, but he isn’t too sure of himself
❱ ⟣ you’ll normally be able to tell when this happens, though, as he’ll get fidgety and less focused on whatever he’s doing
❱ ⟣ he’s not very confident outside of skating, so he definitely needs your reassurance; especially since he’s never been in a romantic relationship before, either
❱ ⟣ but once you get him to loosen up, he’ll ignore all worries and have the time of his life with you
❱ ⟣ nanjo kojiro drops being a flirt and a womanizer the moment you two start dating, no questions asked
❱ ⟣ sakurayashiki kaoru eventually finds out about your relationship because nanjo literally just shows you off at S, and everywhere he goes. he’s “surprised the gorilla would settle down with someone,” to say the least
❱ ⟣ did i mention how great it would be to date him? he’s a chef — good food for days. not to mention the fact that he absolutely loves cooking for you; as in, he’d willingly go all out to make your favorite food
❱ ⟣ he lets you into his restaurant to eat and talk late after closing hours. sometimes, you run into sakurayashiki there, and nanjo wouldn’t hesitate to kick him out
❱ ⟣ if he gets into a match with someone at S, or just races for fun, he gets really cocky and cheesy. he’d make it a big deal to “dedicate this race to you,” or some show-offy thing like that
❱ ⟣ girls will definitely still fawn over him, but he makes it pretty clear that he’s taken and no longer open to date anyone else
❱ ⟣ in fact, his female fans end up not romanticizing just him anymore, instead beginning to romanticize your relationship. they’d actually gush every time joe would act like your knight in shining armor, ultimately deeming the both of you as the “power couple of S.”
❱ ⟣ if you did want to lessen your relationship’s public exposure, then he wouldn’t hesitate to comply, either. he’d gladly stop it all if it was making you uncomfortable
❱ ⟣ fights aren’t often, but they aren’t nonexistent, either. he’s still a stubborn and confident man, but he does know when to back down if he needs to. the last thing he wants is for your day to end with a rotten atmosphere
❱ ⟣ because nanjo’s really a sweetheart, and he just feels really lucky to be with you

I'd like to request a drabble! :D I feel like Joe and Cherry definitely got drunk-married in las vegas during their globe trotting trip. XD even though it's not legal in Japan, they probably go back to las vegas every year or so to celebrate their "marriage anniversary".
Do whatever you like with it~ thank you!
You’ve got it, my friend!! I hope you like it~

Joe didn’t like disappointing people. Cherry knew that better than anyone. So, he noted the wince the other tried to hide when their ‘kids’ complained about them being gone for the weekend. Yes, Joe had promised to teach Reki a new move and Miya had requested that Cherry help him practice his speech for an upcoming interview. But that would all have to wait.
“Sorry, kiddos,” Joe said again as he placed their luggage in the trunk. “Next weekend, I promise.” They visibly deflated, but it was too late to change their plans. Their tickets had been purchased, their hotel room booked, and their flight left in a few hours. “Next weekend,” Joe repeated and then got into the passenger seat.
“Look at their faces,” Cherry said, glancing to the side. “They’re devastated.”
Joe sighed, but shook his head. “Can’t be helped.” He met Cherry’s gaze. “I wouldn’t miss our anniversary.”
Flash back to five years earlier. Joe and Cherry were on the twenty-hour flight from Naha to McCarran International Airport in Paradise, Nevada. It was their first trip to Las Vegas. And they didn’t know it then, but it wouldn’t be their last.
The flight was long and Cherry was grouchy. What didn’t help matters was the fact that Joe had immediately conked out beside him. That hulking gorilla could fall asleep anywhere with ease. Even on a plane. Though, their first class tickets did provide comfortable seats and extra leg room.
Even so, Cherry couldn’t sleep. And Joe’s gentle snoring was a constant reminder that he’d be well-rested when they arrived, while Cherry would probably look like death warmed over.
It was a petty thing to do, he knew. And looking back, he probably should have practiced a bit more restraint. But the pen had been sitting right there on Joe’s tray table, next to his list of restaurants he wanted to try. And Cherry couldn’t help himself.
A few hours later, Joe awoke and excitedly pointed out the Las Vegas strip as they approached. But when he turned to gauge Cherry’s reaction, he frowned. “What?”
And that was perhaps because Cherry had come back to himself and was reading over the amazing amount of kanji he’d expertly drawn onto his face, a guilty expression clearly showing on his own. “Ah, Kojiro--”
“I can’t believe you!” Joe continued to complain as they waited for their baggage. And on the taxi ride to their hotel. And at check-in. But that was also due to the fact that… the pen wouldn’t come off. “How are we supposed to go to dinner when I look like this?” Joe pointed toward the script on his face.
“In my defense, I didn’t know it wouldn’t wash off,” Cherry offered, having finally gotten over his initial, paralyzing guilt. Now he just felt bad. “And we can order room service tonight.”
Joe pouted. “But I had it all planned…” He absently reached for the list of restaurants he had folded in his back pocket. Then he scrubbed his face. “Well, maybe this will be faded by tomorrow.”
Cherry hoped so, though he didn’t miss an opportunity to get in a teasing jab about how Joe looked better this way.
That night, they stayed in their room. Joe ordered almost everything on the menu while Cherry raided the mini bar. They weren’t used to the time change, so they stayed up, eating and drinking and playing with a deck of cards Joe had found on the desk.
It was fun and, although they could have done this at home, it was nice to have a change of scenery. Speaking of which, it might be nice to go for a walk. It was late enough that not many people would see Joe’s face, right?
“Yeah, let’s go,” Joe slurred in response to Cherry’s suggestion.
It was funny how Carla had everything saved on the cloud. They had their passports on them, but she had no trouble bringing up all the necessary paperwork. Their birth certificates. An affidavit of competency. A Konin Todoke application of marriage.
It wasn’t until the next morning that they realized what they’d done. They awoke next to each other in bed -- a usual occurrence -- but with matching gold bands around their ring fingers -- those were… new.
Cherry was pulled from his thoughts as they approached the Naha Airport. He drove into the entrance for the extended lot and parked the van.
“You still with me, babydoll?” Joe asked when Cherry didn’t immediately unbuckle himself. “You look a little lost.”
Cherry rolled his eyes. “I was just thinking. I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to relate.”
Joe snorted and began unloading the trunk. “Thinking, hmm?” he said before shutting it. “What about?”
He didn’t answer right away and Joe’s amused expression morphed into one of concern. But Cherry spoke before he could worry him too much. “I’m glad.” He closed the distance between them, placing a hand over Joe’s on his luggage.
At that, Joe smiled and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. He opened it and slipped the rings back onto their fingers. Then he took Cherry’s hand in his, lifting it to his lips to press a kiss just above his wedding band. “Me, too,” he whispered.
Then they were off. To celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. And although he’d requested it every year since then, Cherry once again promised to leave Joe’s face alone while he slept on the plane. But only if Cherry could use his shoulder as a pillow.
