Rajdher fort trek on Friendship Day!

On 6th August 2023, 8 friends decided to visit Rajdher fort, around 140 km ahead of Nashik. This is a non-commercial TTMM activity. The experience in shared in 5 parts: HOW DID WE GO, TIME LINE, EXPERIENCE IN PHOTOS, EXPENSES & VIDEO.

HOW DID WE GO?

Base railway station: Kasara.

Base village: Rajdherwadi (140 km away from Kasara).

Route: Kasara > Rajdherwadi > Kasara.

Tip: Vadbare village, which is the base for Indrai fort is on the opposite side, though Indrai fort can be seen from Rajdherwadi.

TIME LINE:

5th August 2023, Saturday.

11:05 pm train from Dadar to Kasara.

6th August 2023, Sunday.

01:30 am reached Kasara.

02:00 am - travel in hired non-AC 10-seater jeep from Kasara railway station to Rajdherwadi, the base village.

5:30 am - reach Rajdherwadi.

Sleep for an hour.

06:30 am to 09:00 trek - ascend & reach the top. The grade seems to be easy, gentle, gradual. We go safe and slow.

10: 45 am - descend starts.

12:00 pm reach Rajdherwadi again.

12:30 pm to 3:30 pm travel back to Kasara station in hired vehicle.

4:15 pm return train journey.

6:30 pm reach Dadar.

7:30 pm Home sweet home.

EXPERIENCE IN PHOTOS:

EXPENSES:

25/- rickshaw from home to station.

70/- return railway ticket.

800/- travel in 10-seater non-AC hired vehicle from Kasara to Rajdherwadi & back. We were 8 friends (6000/- + 410/- toll separate). 90/- snacks.

35/- rickshaw from station to home.

TOTAL = 1015/- in TTMM as common expenses shared equally in group of 8 friends.

Did you know? Choosing the right steel grade for #forging? During forging, metal is pressed, pounded, or squeezed under great pressure into high strength elements called forgings.

Preheating the metal to the desired temperature before working it is often (but not always) a part of the method. Forging is a totally different process from casting (or foundry) since the metal used to make forged parts is never melted and poured (as in casting).

The forging process will produce parts that are stronger than those manufactured by the other shaping method. This is often why forgings are nearly always used wherever dependability and human safety are essential. However you will rarely see forgings as they are normally component parts contained within assembled things such as airplanes, cars, tractors, ships, oil drilling instrumentation, engines, missiles and all forms of capital equipment.

Steel is an iron-based alloy with small additions of carbon and other elements that impart improvements in various properties. Steel is among the most useful of metals. It is the metal that has the highest strength per unit cost. There are a wide range of steel compositions as well as a wide range of micro structures that can be produced.
