[video description: video is a tiktok by user @nashzoo featuring a very young cotton top tamarin sitting on a hammock in a small indoor enclosure with many colorful toys visible. She is chewing on something and looking around inquisitively, she then reaches past the camera and grabs a mealworm, which is a small thick white worm but in her small hand it looks very large. She immediately gets to work eating the worm and the video ends. While the video plays, an smooth piano record plays with a person breathing or saying "yeah" once at the beginning and at end of the video. End video description]
We had a very full first day in Nashville. We went to the Science Adventure Center first followed by hot chicken at Hattie B’s and then Zoolumination at the zoo. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
🚨CUTE ALERT 🚨 Two clouded leopards were born on June 30! 🐱🐱 The male and female are the first cubs to be born at the Zoo since 2019 and, as their parents' first successful cubs, are genetically significant to the population of clouded leopards in human care. With the addition of these cubs, the Zoo is now home to 16 clouded leopards and has welcomed 42 cubs since 2009!
The 6-day-old cubs are being hand-reared by our veterinary team and will be visible at the veterinary center soon (don't worry: we'll announce when they move in!).

I quit my job, now to figure out if I'm staying in zookeeping or moving into research. I definitely do want to learn how to band birds that does sound really cool. I just wish my bf was willing to live in san diego, I think working in the avian nursery would be a dream come true ;_;
