Circling back to Steve and video games- Dorian may remind Steve of Tony and so is his comfort character, but Nathan Drake’s voice can sound just like Tony! So when Tony’s away the Steve will play Uncharted just to hear “Tony’s” voice (because he’s been caught watching Tony’s TEDTalks one to many times so he’s going for subtle) and he could ttoootally see Tony as some sort of…Adventure Archaeologist

OOOOOOOOH. Yeah, I can see this for Marvel's Avengers Stevetony since Nolan North voice acts as both Tony and Nate. But for real though, I've been yelling this a lot (and I might've already yelled about this here) but Natelena have a similar dynamic to MCU!Stevetony. Like Uncharted 4 is basically CACW - Endgame Stevetony (Steve as Nate, Tony as Elena and Bucky as Sam, lmao).

MCU Steve just self-inserts himself in Elena up to UC4. Then he gets the stink-eye and passive-aggressive comments from Tony 'cause "OH, LOOK AT THIS BITCH ASS LIAR, HMMM. LOOK AT HOW HE LIES TO HIS WIFE ABOUT HIS BROTHER, HMMMMMMM."

Sidenote, Marvel's Avengers Tony and Nathan having the same voice actor is a blessing for me (since they're my two faves, lmao) and Nolan actually understanding Tony's character is such a relief. (I feel like I've said this before so just ignore me if I did, I'm rambling again lmao)

I saw a few of your posts about TLOU II (and Abby specifically), and honestly, it’s made me think a little. I haven’t finished the game (but I know, like, 90% of the plot), I just got to the flashback with young!Abby and her dad before I quit the game for now, and I was debating on whether I should finish the game because I can’t stand her for what she did (though I do acknowledge that Ellie and Joel aren’t the best people, either), but I kind of want to now — even if just for Ellie and Dina.

You should finish yourself! I will say that people should play the game themselves.

But yeah. Abby, I have mixed feelings about. I will always have this bias against her because I really love Joel, the dude's my dad, but not just her killing Joel (and Jesse). But also hurting Ellie, Tommy, and Dina (and willingly trying to kill a pregnant woman mind you; Ellie didn't know, and had a panic attack, after killing a pregnant woman). The entire squad got fucked up by her. But I'd be a hypocrite to only view Ellie's side of things.

Abby, in the end, has a big heart. She loves Yara and Lev. And if she died, then Lev would've died too. I don't know if it's the mother instincts in me, or maybe I really do like Lev as much as the other new characters (it's both), but I really didn't want to lose that kid. And Abby interacting with him made me feel a bit more sympathetic towards her. I also didn't think she was closer to Ellie's age. I thought she was like in her 30s lol, but she's got a young spirit and you can really see it in the way she talks and acts around the kids. As for her story however, it dragged on too long, and I don't fucking care about owen and mel. I literally don't care.

I feel like, in the end, the two could've really talked things out for a while. They can't see eye to eye but they have a lot in common. I noticed the parallels between the two right away. And, playing as Abby was like playing as Joel, if he was a mother instead, and Lev is a boy version of Ellie. Not identical in personalities, but it felt so similar to me but also different.

Abby really could've been something great if they could've put more flavor and love into her story. And it was stupid as fuck to try and get us to feel bad for her dad dying when we played that section for like 17 minutes, compared to an entire game where you play with Joel and Ellie. And aside from that, it was DIRECTLY after she killed Jesse, and hurt Tommy. Like come the fuck on. That was just stupid. And then, after the long ass flashback, you have to fight Ellie? Really? My Ellie? The character that saved my life? Are you serious? Fucking no way lol. And Dina too....... You can't make Abby out to be sympathetic, only to her have willingly try and kill a pregnant woman. What the fuck was that.

So yeah, I'm mixed. She's hurt everyone, killed two characters I cared about (though I care about Joel way more than Jesse, Jesse was still cool as fuck and a really good guy). But look, Joel didn't deserve it (like, he didnt deserve to die like that, it should've been done better) and I'm not gonna be like "he had it coming!" because I'm not an edgy Joel hater lol. But I get why she did it. But if Joel's death is justified in the sense of what hes done to others than its justified if Abby dies, or Ellie and Dina even. Anyways I just wish Abby was surrounded by better people, better characters with better stories.

Also, to talk about Joel's actions at the end of the first game, yes it was terribly selfish. Villainous even, if you look at it from an outside standpoint. But he loves Ellie, and that game helps you feel the love and the bond between the two. I was only 12 when I played that scene and to me, it was just natural I take them out to save her. I wasn't thinking of the repercussions. Now I do, and in the end, Joel wasn't right but I still understand him. I'd do the same thing, despite how fucking terrible it is. I see him. And it's part of the reason why I love Joel. Seeing the love he has for Ellie, whether it be him holding her after she killed David (and apparently he says to her "I'm never leaving you again, you understand" 🥺), or if you fail the final scene, the fireflies take her away from him and he yells out for her. You can hear how desperate and scared he is in that failure scene. Or, the flashbacks in part 2. All just encapsulate the love her has for her. But him yelling at the bloater to go towards him and to leave Ellie alone, it just stuck with me. I think that, despite what Ellie thinks, in the end it was for the best. Because now Joel is his true self, a happy, funny old dad. And Ellie gets to fall in love with Dina, and raise a baby with her. So maybe something really did come out of that.

And as for Ellie and Dina, it's worth it for them. Dina is perfect for Ellie, no doubt. She's snarky, outgoing, and flirty as hell. Like every few seconds she has something to say and I'm gonna sit and listen! But seriously, the domestic scenes between the two are so fucking adorable, and realistic. They're on par with the realism in Natelena's relationship (mainly in UC4). It was insane, and I fucking cried lol. Ellie is so happy.

And that final scene, once you get to it, we can talk about that together too.
