🇮🇹 Marco Mengoni will co-host the first night of Sanremo 2024
🇮🇹 Marco Mengoni, the winner of last year's Festival di Sanremo, will co-host the first night of this year's contest.
Amadeus, host of Italy’s Sanremo Music Festival for the final time this year, confirmed on RAI2 that Marco Mengoni would co-host the first night of the contest. Mengoni, who won last year’s edition with “Due Vite”, placed fourth at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
Marco Mengoni’s Sanremo history
Mengoni first competed in Italy’s longrunning Festival di Sanremo in 2010, where he placed third…
In the Eurovision fandom, there's a joke around that Sanremo takes a very long time on the final night. It's funny because it's true. And as an American Eurovision fan, I get to use my time zone to my advantage and get the news bright and early!
So, Italy has chosen..."La Noia" by Angelina Mango!
For the first time since 2016, Italy has finally decided to send a SOLO woman to Eurovision, which is truly a beautiful thing to see. However, Italy had female representation with Måneskin in 2021 (THANK YOU VICTORIA! *and thank you to @circes-grotto for reminding me*) I've seen around that this is a fan favorite, so with proper staging and a good spot in the running order, Italy can keep its consistent streak up! I'm excited to see it!
Congratulations, Angelina! I look forward to seeing you perform in May!
I haven't used this site in so long but I'm wondering if there are any Eurovision fans who want to get involved in a Eurovision project I'm working on! It's going to fun, camp and you don't need to do anything except listen to a bunch of Eurovision songs. And by "bunch" I mean all the songs from 2020-2024!
Drop me a message if you're interested!! Hoping to get as many people as possible for this project!
JUST IN: Megara (a musical band) will represent San Marino in the 2024 ESC with their song "11:11" after winning Una Voce per San Marino (the country's national final).
Congratulations and see you in Malmo this coming May!

The United Kingdom Can't Afford To Risk A National Final... Yet
“Just get 30 songs, do five heats of six acts, have a grand final with ten acts and some lucky runners-up, and the BBC will be able to find the best song in the world and rediscover success at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö.”
Following the news that TaP Music will no longer be working with the BBC to find an act to represent the United Kingdom, I’ve read something along those lines many…

Is it weird that I'm kinda underwhelmed by all of the national finals so far? (Haven't listened to Portugal yet, maybe that will change)
As in I only have a clear favorite song I like in 3 NF's (Eesti Laul, Eurosong and MGP), and out of those I have only added 1 song (Ulveham by Gåte) to my playlist.
I am definitely underwhelmed by UMK and Benidorm the most, since these usually put out bangers for me, but most of the songs are just... mid?
And there is no NF so far where I have more than 1 song I am cheering for, which is unusual.
Maybe it's just eurovision fatigue, maybe I'm just comparing it to last year's awesome selections too much, but I'm definitely dissappointed so far.
Anyway hope that PzE, Söngvakeppnjn and Sanremo bring out bangers as usual, and I'm keeping my hopes up for a not-mid Melfest and DMGP.
I'll still be watching the live shows if I have time for them, maybe my opinion will change them, but the excitement is definitely not here this year.
Well, Finland has eyes on them after Liverpool's runner-up venture, and now, the suspense can settle (a little) as they have chosen their winner of their National Final, and with that, their representative for Eurovision in Sweden!
Finland is sending..."No Rules" by Windows95Man!
So no matter what, they've won best name. From my social media scrolling, I noticed that it was a bit of a shock and that there is some division over the songs that Finland should have sent. But I'm going to look at it this way: the song is fun. It's hilarious. It's a check-your-brain-at-the-door-and-have-fun-for-three-minutes song. We are in for a treat from Finland this year, and I can't wait to see it!
Congrats Windows95Man, I look forward to seeing this in May!
So I’ve been thinking about making art pieces based on some NF songs. The first picture is the warmup/development process and the other is the actual piece
