La fotosintesi artificiale ridisegna il futuro del cibo. Il nuovo sistema è 18 volte più efficiente di quella naturale. Ridisegna il futuro della produzione di cibo la nuova fotosintesi artificiale ibrida, che combina sistemi inorganici e biologici, sia per la coltivazione in basi lunari e serre marziane sia per aumentare la produttività agricola sulla Terra: il nuovo sistema, infatti, è 18 volte più efficiente della fotosintesi naturale nel convertire luce solare, anidride carbonica e acqua in cibo e potrebbe aiutare a soddisfare la crescente domanda di cibo senza espandere ulteriormente i terreni agricoli. Il risultato, pubblicato sulla rivista Nature Food, è stato ottenuto dalla ricerca guidata dalle università statunitensi della California a Riverside e del Delaware a Newark, che ha dimostrato l'efficacia dell’innovativo metodo coltivando organismi come lieviti, alghe e funghi, utilizzati nella produzione di cibo, e una serie di piante tra cui riso, fagioli, colza, pomodori, piselli e tabacco.

Confronto tra piante coltivate in laboratorio con e senza l'acetato prodotto grazie alla fotosintesi artificiale (fonte: Hann et al, Nature Food, 2022) © ANSA/Ansa Il nuovo sistema di fotosintesi artificiale utilizza l’elettricità generata tramite pannelli fotovoltaici per convertire acqua e CO2 in ossigeno e acetato, una molecola organica molto comune negli organismi viventi e ricca di carbonio. L'acetato è poi utilizzato come ingrediente chiave per far crescere al buio, o in maniera indipendente dalla fotosintesi naturale, organismi e vegetali. Studi precedenti avevano analizzato il possibile uso di altre molecole come fonti di carbonio, ad esempio il formiato o il metanolo, che però mostravano un importante limite: il loro metabolismo produce anche formaldeide, che è tossica. L’acetato, al contrario, viene metabolizzato più facilmente da una vasta gamma di organismi senza produrre composti dannosi. I ricercatori, guidati da Elizabeth Hann e Marcus Harland-Dunaway dell’Università della California, e da Sean Overa dell’Università del Delaware, hanno dimostrato l’efficienza del metodo coltivando tre organismi: l’alga verde fotosintetica Chlamydomonas, già impiegata come fortificante degli alimenti e che ha dimostrato di avere un effetto positivo sulla salute gastrointestinale, il lievito Saccharomyces cerevisiae, ampiamente utilizzato per la produzione di alimenti e bevande fermentate, e funghi. Tutti gli organismi hanno dimostrato di saper sfruttare l’acetato come fonte di energia, aggirando così la fotosintesi biologica. Per valutare ulteriormente le potenzialità del sistema artificiale ibrido, i ricercatori hanno anche analizzato la crescita di diverse colture in condizioni controllate e al buio, osservando che l’acetato prodotto artificialmente viene prontamente incorporato nei tessuti delle piante in crescita. UOVA: COSA CONTENGONO? Ragazze dopo il post precedente riguardo le uova, in cui vi ho spiegato a grandi linee perchè consumarle non vi farà male, oggi voglio darvi ancora qualche informazione riguardo questo alimento che a mio avviso noi signorine e signore dovremmo rivalutare e consumare un pò più spesso. La prima cosa che voglio dirvi è quella di consumarle INTERE e se la dieta è ben ponderata, non ingrasserete con il tuorlo. La seconda cosa che voglio dirvi è cosa contiene il tuorlo e perchè dovremmo consumarlo senza alcun tipo di remora: - Ferro (un suo corretto apporto contrasta l'anemia, che per noi donne, può essere in agguato, soprattutto se abbiamo abbondanti cicli mestruali ogni mese e se pratichiamo tanta attività fisica)
- Fosforo
- Selenio
- Vitamina A
- Vitamina D
- Zinco (microelemento che negli ultimi anni è finito sotto ai riflettori per la sua peculiarità di sostenere le difese immunitarie)

- Lecitina (fosfolipide) E' chiaro come un alimento come l'uovo, sia un vero concentrato di nutrienti importanti e di come il suo consumo sia da rivalutare. More spring veggies! Not deprived of nutrients, water, or covered in pesticides. Free to grow to be their best selves. It amazes me to stop and think that the Native Americans foraged and ate these ramps along with fiddleheads thousands of years ago and here we are still knowing about them and picking them all these years later even though the world has changed so much. It’s like I can physically hold onto a piece of history for just a moment because they grow untouched in nature. Like I can connect in some way with my ancestors who walked these lands.
