Satoru Gojo x fem reader

Gojo is frantic. Big blue crystal eyes, wide and scanning everything as he flies down white corridors. The people along the white walls who watch him in white coats and colorful scrubs are bewildered as his feet stomp hard against the tiles. Whispering and wondering, what has the man so panicked? He ignores it, though, ignoring everything as he tries to concentrate his six eyes on you, but his head is spinning, his vision is hazy, and he can't even feel you.

Soon he reaches the reception desk, where a blonde stands at attention upon seeing him. She has eyes that hang down from the side as if she has grown old and tired, and a soft, calculated smile to not be rude but be kind. Satoru notes this, not sure why—anything to get his mind off of the fact he can't find you—and begins to splutter.

"I'm looking for my wife, (name) Gojo. She was rushed here last night. I wasn't in town." He says rushed, breathless. Guilty at how the words fell out, his wife rushed to the hospital the night before, but he wasn't home. It's true he had basically flashed here as soon as he heard it, but the guilt still hung. His poor, sweet, innocent wife is collapsing while he, the person who promises to protect her, is at work. But he swallows those feelings down and awaits the blondes response as she clicks through the computer, then looks backs at him.

"Room G5, she's been awake for a little while now and can be discharged later today after she sees the doctor." She says plainly but is greeted by the dark navy silhouette as he rounds the corner going towards you. His heart is pumping and his eyes are fast reading over each door until it's yours. His mouth is dry, and his palms are sweaty, reaching for the knob.

The door bangs open, revealing you. Your beautiful eyes reflect back into his, and his heart melts, making hot pools in his eyes. "(Name)." He all but whimpers as he approaches the bed and wraps you in his arms, the feeling of your warmth making his heart beat at a more comfortable pace. Your scent soothes his agitated hands, and your small laugh against his ear is a reassurance that you were actually there.

"Oh my. My big baby." You squeal as he tightens his grip on you, too afraid to let go of how perfectly okay you seemed. "I was so worried; I can't even begin to tell you how glad I am that you are okay." He speaks his eyes shut as if this were an illusion he wished to stay in, but when you pull him back and he opens them, he is greeted with you smiling at him so brightly that the sun that poured into the windows beside couldn't compare.

In that moment, he wonders what his life would be without you. Gojo without (name) is like a flower with no pollen and no way or reason to grow. Like a home without warmth, a simple building to wonder in and out of. "I love you." He hiccups as he sinks his face back into your neck. He doesn't want to wonder what life will be like without you anymore but would rather enjoy you because you are here now.

They claim that not only has Straw Hat Luffy himself taken over and destroyed a priceless, state-of-the-art laboratory on Punk Hazard—he has also managed to get himself an unbelievable ally! And it’s someone you all know very well!

A member of the Worst Generation, this man caused an uproar during the disastrous Rocky Port incident when he delivered a full 100 (one hundred!) pirates’ hearts to the Navy Headquarters in order to become one of the Warlords of the Sea!

Yes, indeed—not even ‘Surgeon of Death’ Trafalgar Law is immune to Straw Hat Luffy’s charm.

We cannot imagine the Navy Headquarters will simply overlook this but it seems that Monkey D. Luffy’s presence means more than the threat of losing his Warlord title to the cold, stoic man. (And, if our sources are to be believed, he would do near anything for that sunny smile!)

But what is this new alliance’s purpose? What will be the Navy Headquarters’ reaction? Be on the lookout for the next issue of the World Economic Journal as we continue to bring new information straight to you!

One Piece - Chapter 1090 "Admiral Kizaru": Thoughts, Theories and Discussions

The cover of this chapter is very interesting! I don't particularly think much of East Blue villains other than Arlong, but Kuro was always an interesting one for me. His plan was the most befuddled mess I've ever seen, and his ending was... ambiguous? He was also one of the first villains with a leaning towards intelligence and his entire appearance screamed sophistication. So it's interesting to be reminded of this guy on the cover, even if his arc was a massive dud!

As for the actual chapter, it starts off very typically, with Luffy telling the Gorosei that he'll be the King of the Pirates. I love that Luffy never changes. He's always the bull in a china shop, who Robin and Nami have to restrain.

It's interesting how Big News Morgan, Wapol and Vivi are listening in on this conversation. I'm pretty sure that'll play a role further on in the story.

I'm also interested in what Rob Lucci's motives are here, along with Kaku. He seems to be going along with the Straw Hats for now, but he IS informing the Gorosei of everything that's happening. I doubt he's going to defect, honestly. Neither will Kaku. Lucci's goals and values simply don't align with anything the Straw Hats stand for. Though he will have to take a decision, since the WG doesn't really seem to care much about sacrificing his life.

Not to mention, this arc gives HEAVY Sabaody vibes. Admiral Kizaru, the Seraphim and the fast paced lore dumping all seem very much like they've taken their inspiration from the style of storytelling in Sabaody Archipelago. Also, i HATE York. Absolutely hate that bitch. Just thought I'd put that out there

I'm pretty hype for Elbaf! I've been eager to see the Island of the Giants, since it's heavily hinted that it's an important place in the world of One Piece. We've been hearing about it since when, Little Garden? I'm also interested in seeing if Usopp gets a major upgrade in Elbaf, because his connection with the Giants has been established and shown a few times throughout the series.

I gotta say, we're getting to know more about Kizaru chapter by chapter. It goes against his ideals to ignore a man who's sincerely doing his duty? I think Kizaru might be a more morally complex man than he lets on with his "high all the time" facade coupled with sarcasm. I'm interested in seeing how Sentomaru and the Pacifistas vs Kizaru unfolds

Also, I really don't feel comfortable with the Hancock Seraphim. Like I know Oda cleared up the accusations, but still. It doesn't seem right and it feels more like it was a coverup for the sake of publicity rather than the actual intention, you know? So I can't help but be uncomfortable with the way people are behaving around S-Snake, as well as the way she behaves with Luffy. Also, could this Bubble that they've trapped the Seraphim in be the answer to DF users in some way? It seems intriguing, at the very least. I do hope all the other Seraphim have their personalities blossom as well. Can't wait for an awakened Doflamingo Seraphim 💀

Last but not least, we get a Coup de Burst after so many years! I missed the Thousand Sunny specialty and I'm glad to see it return. It's so cute to see Franky explain to Vegapunk that the ship is powered by COLA of all things 😭😭

Overall, a very good chapter, and it has some aspects that I can't discuss without making this too lengthy. So i'll do an in depth analysis of Kizaru in some time, but for now, I'm eager to see if the Straw Hats can escape Egghead Island! I love the idea of revisiting the Sabaody themes and story beats, and especially eager to see Kizaru vs Luffy. Do y'all think Kizaru can take the W against G5 Luffy? I wouldn't underestimate a Navy Admiral, but Luffy is a Yonko for a reason, after all. Who do y'all think has the edge? Will Kizaru perhaps defect just like Aokiji?

Mari booted up the old PC. The Puppeteer watched, warped face sneering in the reflection of the black screen, long, stringy hair covering thin shoulders; Sunny was busy with Basil today.

Trying to ignore the creature behind her, Mari looked out the window. Perhaps her vision was getting worse, some parts of the backyard looked blank, like raindrops distorting the view outside a windowpane. She could still see the forest and sky, and figure outside. He was always there too, scarf flapping in the wind. She imagined him as her father, waiting peacefully for her to come outside and play…

Come now, Mari. You know that’s not good enough. Take a break, we can do more soon.

Mari’s fingers tapped absent-mindedly along the desk. She played out some notes… right, G4, E5, …left, C4, G4 and E4, once again,... everything played mezzoforte, she hummed quietly to herself…

Yes, this one would sound good enough for Dad. This one would be perfect…

She closed her eyes. It was like it was all really there… left, A3, C#4 and E4; G3, C#4 and E4, repeat,... right, G5, D5, no, wait, E5…

Wait.

Mari froze.

What was she doing?

No, what the fuck was she doing?

No, no, no. Absolutely not. Never again

Her mother's voice echoed in her head.

Don't hurt yourself, Mari. I told you to stop. You're burdening me and everyone else.

No, no, wait, but,

Mari slammed her hands on the edge of the desk, and again. Over and over and over and over and over. She hit them harder and harder. Over and over and over and over and over. She hit them until they turned purple and throbbed, she hit them until they went numb. Then she kept hitting.

She stopped. Her fingers were shaking, bent in odd directions. The bandages must've slipped off.

She knew it was supposed to hurt, but it didn't. She looked blankly at the shattered mechanics of her hands.

Her mother burst into the room, the door flying open. Mari hadn't heard the footsteps. “God, Mari, what did I tell you? That's the third time this month.”

Mari stood up and looked at her mother's shoes, avoiding her eyes. They were navy velvet loafers, with a small rose near the top of the shoe. Perfect mom shoes for a perfect mom.

“No, we're not going to the hospital again. They're fed up with you.” Her mother grabbed Mari's wrists, pulling them harshly. She peered at the fingers.

“Go and clean them up and bandage them. I'm sick of this. I know you miss him, but this isn't appropriate.”

Mari moved to leave, slipping past her mother, avoiding touch. As she walked toward the door, her mother sighed deeply.

“You know you're fine. Don't pretend otherwise. I'm fine and you're fine. If you weren’t fine, you would talk to me.”

Mari nodded distractedly, and busied herself in the bathroom. Puppeteer loomed in the mirror, hissing the words her mother said.

You're a burden. She's sick of you. They’re fed up with you. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. This isn’t appropriate.

Mari tried to ignore it.

Summary - Doflamingo is conflicted at the possibility that his brother is the leak.

Simple blurb. I think there are never enough short fics about their complicated BROTHERLY relationship. Not proofread. Emphasis on brotherly relationship. This isn't a ship. Dear god.

Words- 800

No Warnings. No Triggers. Soft ending.

Doflamingo looked down at his brother from his perch at the upper window of their makeshift abode. Looking slightly disgruntled, he sat on the ledge of the open window - the wind was refreshing and the air was warm. The correlation between his younger sibling's presence and when a particular Navy ship knew their location was becoming too significant to ignore. It happened too often to be a coincidence and it was distracting him from this otherwise beautiful day.

"When he's on missions, Young Master - have you noticed they stop coming?" Diamante commented, standing nearby.

"I noticed."

Doflamingo kept his sentence breif. He didn't move his eyes or body from their spot. His brother was outside, sitting on rubble and smoking a cigarette quietly - looking out at the open sea on the horizon. Doflamingo prided himself on his ability to judge character, his ability to oversee the chessboard and all its pieces - so the man couldn't stop trying to work out how such a large betrayal was so suddenly on the horizon. His only conclusion was that he misread the situation.

"How do you want to handle it?"' Diamante pressured the topic.

"We will keep an eye on him - and let it ride." He decided. "We will address it when it's without a doubt. We've dicussed this previously, Diamante."

"It's been several months, Young Master." Diamante laughed, not taking the response he received personally, moving closer - and leaning against the window as well - looking down on the black bird as well.

Corazon moved to stand up - but stumbled over a rock and the 9ft and some change tower crashed down. Diamante cringed, but the Young Master watched without a shift in expression. "Sooner or later you'll have to face the fact - your brother might be our leak."

"I'm fully aware." Doflmaingo grimaced, his frown deepening and his brow furrowing further. Vergo was transferring to G5 for him and would know more then. "But until I have legitimate proof - He will have my loyalty. He is my blood after all."

Diamante lingered for another handful of moments- before sighing with heft and patting the Young Master's back before dismissing himself.

Doflamingo reassured himself that he was acting accordingly. He assured himself that he was unbiased. He trusted his brother, and he knew his own family wouldn't go against the crew so directly, especially not his own elder brother.

Then, Doflamingo nodded to seal that comfort he had given himself. They went through everything together.

All the times Doflamingo laid over his brother during the beatings from the town, his little brother would wash his wounds in the lake by their battered cabin. When Doflamingo dug through the trash cans to find the special untouched baked good to give to his mother and brother, Rosinante returned the favor when he would find a discarded apple or other fresh picnic finds deep in the fields. Doflamingo would wake in the middle of the night to hold his brother - because he was the lightest sleeper and his brother's night terrors would wake him up, his little brother often did the same for him.

A hand on his shoulder brought him to the present. It was dark outside, the air chilled. He wasn't sure how long he'd been sitting there. Gaining his bearings he looked back to see a white note written with black ink. He had to squint to read it in the dark.

' You're missing dinner.'

He looked over to his brother, whose expression was scrunched, sensing something was wrong. Doflamingo wasn't easy to sneak up on.

Suddenly, the younger of the two pushed foward - wrapping his arms tightly around the pink pile of feathers. Though the gesture was endearing, Doflamingo was still perched on an open window sill.

"Wait-" Doflamingo barely called out as he was pushed back - he reached to brace himself on the window frame, but it was too late, and they both went toppling out the window - crashing into the piles of tin below.

After a moment of stunned silence - both of them looking up at the stars he could hear little footsteps. Doflamingo knew they belonged to the little girl of the house - by how fast and panicked they sounded.

"Young Master! Young Master! Are you okay!" Baby5 cried out.

Doflamingo pushed himself up to his feet - then hoisted Corazon to his as well.

" Yes, yes." he brushed off the fact he just fell multiple stories into a pile of scrap metal.

"You were late for dinner Young Master!" Buffalo commented, from the doorway.

"My apologizes for worrying you. I must have lost track of the time."

Is captain of G5 and "captain navy HQ" the same thing?

This is about Tashigi, right? When she was introduced after the timeskip, it was as "G5 captain", but in chapter 1061 her box said "Navy HQ Captain":

I don't think it's the same... if you're a captain at Navy HQ it means that you're stationed there, working with the top of command, while if you're captain at a G-# base like G-5 you're stationed somewhere on the Grand Line.

It is also believed that the higher the Marine base number, the lesser the importance of that base in relation to HQ, though maybe that's just a fandom belief never confirmed by Oda.

It's unclear at the moment if this means Tashigi is no longer stationed at G-5 (and Smoker??), or if that may have been a typing mistake.

Hopefully we'll find out soon!

My MLP AU

This is my take on my version on the finale of MLP G4 and G5

Firstly, Twilight has the the design of luna and cadence instead of being a celestia clone, she also has some of her rainbow form in her design mixed with a night sky look in her mane and tail, her friends are also still around and also have their rainbow design mixed into them, twilight has made it so her friends live as long as she does as she doesn't like the thought of letting them go so she did a spell that puts their souls into her so they have become the guardians of equestria.

spike has a design change and he looks like more of a dragon then a buff lizard thing, he is still twilight's friendship councillor and is always by twilight's side, he also got together with ember and had some little dragons together

with the mane 5, fluttershy still runs her animal resort with discord, still caring for animals and helping animals outside of ponyville, fluttershy also has a daughter called rosanna pink aka rose pink for short and she is a accident baby with her and pinkie pie after a student at twilight's school with special needs went a bit haywire (i might do a fanfic about this, also discord secretly ships pinkie and fluttershy so hard 😆) rose pink is a ballet slipper pink earth pony with a blush pink mane and tail, the mane and tail is long like fluttershy's but curly like pinkie's, she has the same eye colour as sunset shimmers and her eye shape is like a pinkie's mom's, lastly, her cutie mark is a pink paw print with a blue lollipop on the big pad, she'll grow up to make candy for animals.

pinkie pie is the party planner of equestria and with the help of her husband, cheese sandwich and their son, lil'cheese pie and pinkie's daughter, pink blush they spread party all over, lil'cheese pie looks the same as he does in the finale but his hair is light brown instead of pink, he also has a good bond with his half sister rose pink and he grows up to be a pie baker with his cutie mark being a pie.

rarity still runs her clothes boutique and she now has a shop all over equestria for each and every creature, she so successful that she's become a clothing celebrity like sapphire shores and photo finish, she's one out of the 2 mane 6 with no kids with the other one being twilight.

rainbow dash is now the captian of the wonder bolts and she like rarity has become a celebrity, she got a full fan base thanks to scootaloo and she has adopted scootaloo as her sister, she also has a relationship with applejack being married and have magic made son together called zap apple, zap apple is a navy blue pegasus pony with a short rainbow mane and tail like his mom's hair, he has dark blue eyes and his cutie mark is a zap apple with a lightning bolt coming off it, he loves his moms and he wants to be a wonderbolt like his rainbow mom but also loves helping on the farm with his apple mom.

lastly, applejack and she has taken over the farm after granny smith died, her brother big mac is the leader of the farm with his wife, sugar belle and 2 kids, big sugar and apple blossom, she with her son, zap apple help big mac on the farm as well as rainbow dash when she's not at the wonderbolt academy and they are making big money selling apples, carrots, pears and other fruits and vegetables, sugar belle also help pinkie pie, pound cake and pumpkin cake at the sugar cube corner.

the cutie mark crusaders help run the school and also run the cutie mark camp to help get fillies their cutie marks and it where big sugar, apple blossom, rose pink, lil'cheese pie and zap apple got their cutie marks, when they aren't helping at the school or doing the camp, applebloom helps on the farm with her siblings, nephew and niece, sweetie belle helps her sister out at the ponyville boutique and scoot also helps rainboe dash at the wonderbolt academy with pegasi that have flight issues like her.

at the crystal empire and flurry is the new ruler of the crystal empire while shining armour and cadence step down but not fully retire from their royal position, the couple have been renamed to the princess's mother and father and they do what they do before flurry became princess but with flurry have the big role while they step back a little.

at the friendship school and starlight and sunburst run the school together with trixie's help, the pair have a 2 kids together, a son called moonlight shine and a daughter called twinkle star, they are at cheerille's school and they haven't got their cutie marks yet but at the cutie mark camp trying to find their purpose, trixie meanwhile hasn't found a partner yet but has somehow became starlight and sunburst's 'daughter' as she seems to be acting like an older sister to their kids but a child to them which the pair find odd but let it slide.

luster dawn went off to do her own things after twilight helped her to see what friendship was about so she isn't twilight's student anymore but twilight doe have a new student that she's interested in, her name is rose gold which is a rose gold coloured pony with purple eyes, a short mane and tail in a goldenrod yellow and her cutie mark is the symbol of friendship but it looks like a rose.

the reason twilight is interested in rose gold is because she had a prediction dream about her with a magic alicorn power stopping another alicorn called nova, nova is a night sky purple alicorn but with bat wings with a brick pink and lollipop purple mane and tail, dark blue eyes and her cutie mark was a flame with bat wings on the sides, she was the evil older sister to luna and celestia that was locked away for millions of years after she became a threat to the ponies and to her sisters, she drained all the magic from her sisters the from the ponies, mind controlled the ponies to do her bidding to find more magic and it wasn't till starswirl came along, gave all the ponies their magic back and then drained nova of all her magic before banishing her far far away in a different dimension.

it seems though that nova has managed to find her way back to equestria after a long time and twilight need to train rose gold to make friends and unlock her alicorn magic to stop nova from taking over equestria again after a long time, nova also brings with her a sidekick named nibbler which is grubber from the mlp movie but he a lot different and a lot more aggressive

anyway, i hope you like my AU and i might do a fanfic on it at some point if i feel like it and if i have the time unless someone else can do it for me which i thank you in advance but yeah, you can also add some things in the comments to add to the au if you want 😁

Interview with a vice admiral

Salute recruits on this smooth sailing Sunday afternoon.

( Setting is a podcast/ radio show setting him and I sitting opposite of each other on a table with some coffee. Interview broadcasted for Navy HQ and selected G Base, like G5 (under Smoker) and G8 (Under Jonathan ) Questions are coming from the listeners ( real life readers of this blog).)

I open up the show...

Morning and salute to the recruits of Navy HQ as promised we get to have our first interview with one of the vice admirals today , your questions his answers. And who better to start then my dearest ..... Vice admiral Doberman.

Me >> Good morning. Glad you are here Doberman. <<

Doberman >> Well you have to start with someone on your interviews, though I doubt this has any real purpose other then entertainment. <<

me >> Ouch !!! sharp and precise as ever. <<

Doberman shakes his head >> You married me you know it. <<

me blushes.

Doberman grins for a second >> have you lost your voice ? Or is starring at me and blushing the only thing you can do? <<

I clear my throat >> Well you won't make it easy I see, I expect nothing less from a vice admiral. <<

Doberman smiles even larger at me >> You are easy to to frazzle love <<

me >> Ok ok we will see I might turn the tables on you. I have 10 random questions from my listeners and myself here. So ready? <<

Doberman raises an eyebrow but nods in silence.

me >> 1. questions..... ooohh uwu I like this one. What was your toughest opponent ever ? <<

Doberman gives me stern look >> Is that a question of yours? <<

I grin from cheek to cheek >> hey evasive manoeuvres already ? <<

Doberman grunts >> I know you good enough <<

me nods >> yes its my question <<

Uncomfortable silence enters the room for a moment.

Doberman doesn't look to pleased

me sighs >> I always wanted to ask you this. and I'm sure my listeners would like to know as well, see it as a lesson for the young marines in training rather then your wife nagging you <<

Doberman observes me carefully >> Very well my toughest opponent my first pirate captain. That was during my training time as a marine, so I didn't had the experience I have now <<

I nod slightly disappointed at his rather short answer >> Interesting with devil fruit powers or not ? <<

Doberman replies >> With devil fruit powers hence I received my first scar <<

I compliment him >> Nice Segway question 2 do you have more scars ? <<

Doberman nods with a slight smile >> Of course comes with the job , better get the striplings used to it <<

Me leans into the microphone chuckling >> affirmative ! <<

Doberman throws me a brat taming look over the table.

I continue unimpressed >> Question 3 what is the most embarrassing moment you ever had ?? <<

Doberman rolled his eyes , I chuckled into my hand >> Do you want me to answer that for you or will y ....? <<

Doberman grunts annoyed >> I stepped on my wife's toes and nearly broke them . <<

I burst into laughter >> geezers it was an accident and you just sprained one . <<

Doberman replied with a straight face >> It spoiled our date night. Not to mention it is unacceptable I'm twice your size and my weight and strength are so much more greater then yours. If any advice I can give to the young married marines and my brothers in arms is to mindful your strength belongs into the battle field against criminals not at home. <<

me.... stares at him gobsmacked he takes an accident so serious and I gave up counting how many times I ran accidently into him with my face firmly planting into his six pack

>> Well thank you for this advice. I appreciate it and so will the listeners <<

Doberman looks at me challenging >> I do hope you have better questions. <<

I grin widely.

Doberman shakes his head >> Oh boy that doesn't look like it. <<

I wave my hands >> No worries question 4 will satisfy you . Why do you support absolute justice? <<

Doberman grunts annoyed >> Really that is a question?! I think if you look at the world the question answers itself . <<

me looks at him concerned, I didn't want Doberman to loose his mood

>> Well I think the questions comes up because not of you being for absolute justice in itself , rather to the extend you would go to fulfil absolute justice. To normal people who lack the experience you have it comes often across as very abrasive like rough sandpaper. <<

Doberman nods pleased, certainly skipping a heartbeat at his wife's emotional intelligence

>> Well if you phrase it like that it is fair question, however the carnage that I have seen is NOT to be shared on this interview. <<

I raised my eyebrow >> Why not ? And don't blame me but I say that would be the first initial reaction of my listeners <<

Doberman shook his head , his experience and loyalty to the Marines forbid it >> I can't it would turn the stomachs of your listeners, they all experience it anyways and there is no need to bring up over and over again, let the soldiers rest and forget about what they witness <<

I sighed Doberman is an experienced Vice admiral and it shows >> Well if anybody complains about your answer, I leave that pile on your desk. Question 5 What is the name of your Katana ? <<

Doberman answered >> 罰する刃 Bassuru ha ... the punishing blade ! <<

I snicker at his answer nearly spilling my coffee >> It fits you. Question 6 Whats your favourite hobby ? <<

Doberman replies stoic as ever >> Everything Maritime and related to sailing. <<

I raised my eyebrow again I can tell he gives out information without getting to much details completely evading real answers. He certainly is a hard nut to crack.

me >> alright question 7 What is your carrier goal for the future ??? <<

Doberman rubs his chin >> Rising in the ranks to admiral . <<

I nod interested >> Sounds like you are ready for that challenge !! Right question from our listener "lunistique" ... <<

Doberman interrupted >> strange name <<

I look at him with a sheepish expression >> comes from the guy who is named after a dog breed <<

Doberman huffs at me

>> My listeners can use their real names, alias or stay anonymous, their choice . It's a good question 8 How was your youth as young marine ? <<

Doberman leans back thinking back >> Rough in the beginning I was an angry brat ! The marine boot camp straightened me up. <<

I leaned my elbows on the table >> Side question when did you actually join ?<<

Doberman sighed >> At the age of 15. So did many of my boot camp group , I joined together with Momonga and Onigumo we were all trained by the then admiral Zephyr. As for what it was like well like any bunch of adolescence young man, undisciplined and wild at times, however our master had no problem to fist bump discipline and manners into us. <<

I starred at him begging with my eyes >> Yeah but what did you do come on spill the beans on all the juicy stuff ...<<

Doberman shakes his head >> I don't think so. You have to understand that from our generation of vice admirals most of us had no parents and we all suffered by the hands of pirates. The marines picked us up, gave us basic survival skills , a family and sense of purpose in life. If any of my marine brothers comes to you for an interview they will tell you the same thing. <<

I nod understanding he wouldn't betray his navy family >> Quite right I accept your answer, may I just add I'm glad you found your path in life with the marines and it formed you into the person you are today. Ok question 9 same listener by the way, What if you had children ? <<

Doberman blushes >> What about it?? <<

Me looks at the paper with the question >> Well I assume its the question what if you had kids would they join the marines ? Take it from here. <<

Doberman nods in confidence >> Of course they join the marines if they are boys .. <<

I raise an eyebrow >> Not when its a girl ? <<

Doberman shakes his head >> No !!! <<< he rumbles into his moustache.

Me looks at him suspiciously >> are you sure ? << I prod him.

Doberman continues with his stern looking face >> Yes. <<

I sigh in defeat >> Do you think this might change when having a daughter ?? Well do you want children ?? <<

>> 3 ! <<, he answered quickly and decisive >> I doubt I change my mind <<, he confirms though watching his face I can tell he will change his mind in due time.

I clear my throat , he wants 3 kids ...... my cheeks turn dark red . He smiles at me with tenderness.

>> Finish line !!! question 10 Will you come back for another interview ?? << I wanted to know.

Again Doberman rubs his chin and I can tell he won't make it easy he lays out a strategy.

>> I come back if you manage to get positive feedback for the interview and if you had another 15 vice admirals and rear admirals on your radio show here. << he challenged me.

>> Challenge accepted ! << , I agreed, >> You heard it hear first folks another 15 marines and Doberman comes back ! Speaking of which next weekends candidate is vice admiral Bastille so be ready to tune in again !! Cheerio <<

I turned of the microphones and let some music play. Doberman stood up and got ready to leave, but not before running his fingers through my hair and over my sensitive spot on the neck. It gave sensational chills.

>> Want me to the spills the juicy stuff mh ?! <<, he asks. >> Natural curiosity . <<, I replied. >> Oh so I can expect my favourite dinner tonight?<< , he wanted to know. I answered >> Lets fair trade your favourite dinner for 1 juicy story from your time a marine recruit!<<, I chuckled. He gave me a kiss on the cheek. Deal accepted , before leaving for his job.

2022 G5 Coaching Power Rankings

As we near the end of the Power Ranking series we once again cast an eye to the best of the best in the G5. Only the top 10 coaches make the list, let’s see who’s the best out there in the mid-majors.

10. Blake Anderson

Record at Utah State: 11-3 Overall Record: 62-40 Division Titles: 1 (2021) Conference Titles: 1 (2021)

Movement: N/A

Blake Anderson returns to the G5 top ten in triumph after leading Utah State to their first ever Mountain West Championship. That’s how you do it. The Aggies are attempting to challenge Boise State as the lead program in the Mountain Division. Anderson so far seems up to the task.

9. Jeff Tedford

Record at Fresno State: 26-14 Overall Record: 108-71 Division Titles: 2 (2017, 2018) Conference Titles: 1 (2018)

Movement: N/A

It turned out to be a short retirement for Jeff Tedford, who jumped back into the hot seat after his successor Kalen DeBoer left Fresno for Washington. Tedford returns to the Bulldogs to ensure that things are running up to his high expectations.

8. Chuck Martin

Record at Miami OH: 39-52 Overall Record: 113-59 Division Championships: 2 (2016, 2019) Conference Championships: 1 (2019)

Movement: Down 4 spots

This is more of a correction for placing Chuck Martin too high last year. He’s doing an admirable job at a place that’s very hard to win. The Redhawks made their third bowl in seven years under Martin.

7. Jeff Monken

Record at Army: 58-43 Overall Record: 96-59

Movement: Same

Jeff Monken continues to work miracles at West Point. Army won 9 games for the second consecutive year, an unthinkable feat before Monken came on the scene. The Black Knights are well positioned to keep things rolling with somebody who knows the program so well in charge.

6. Ken Niumatalolo

Record at Navy: 105-75 Division Championships: 3 (2015, 2016, 2019)

Movement: Down 3 spots

It hasn’t been a good few years for Ken Niumatalolo. Navy continues to struggle with losing, the Midshipmen have only bowled once in the past four years. Their consecutive losing seasons in 2020-21 are also a first under Niumatalolo. Can the man who’s led Navy so capably in the past arrest this downward trend?

5. Kalani Sitake

Record at BYU: 48-29

Movement: Up 5 spots

Kalani Sitake has BYU looking good. The Cougars are playing themselves all the way into the Big 12 in a few years and lot of the credit is due to Sitake, who has done a great job maintaining the program. Brigham Young is building back into one of the West’s powerhouses just in time for a call up to the Big 12.

4. Troy Calhoun

Record at Air Force: 111-75 Division Championships: 2 (2015, 2021)

Movement: Up 2 spots

The most consistent winner of all the Service Academy coaches, Troy Calhoun turned in another strong campaign in Colorado Springs. Air Force tied Utah State for the Mountain Division title with a 10-3 record in 2021. The Falcons weren’t able to wrest away the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy from Army, but Air Force is well positioned to compete for some time coming.

3. Bill Clark

Record at UAB: 49-26 Overall Record: 60-30 Division Championships: 3 (2018, 2019, 2020) Conference Championships: 2 (2018, 2020)

Movement: Down 1 spots

Bill Clark continues to work miracles down in Birmingham. The Blazers went from a dead program to a promising call-up heading to the American Athletic Conference as C-USA implodes. It was the first year UAB didn’t win the West Division since 2017, not a bad streak. We’ll see just how much Clark can build from here.

2. Curt Cignetti

Record at James Madison: 33-5 Record Overall: 100-31 Conference Championships: 3 (2018, 2019, 2020)

Movement: N/A

Many of you haven’t heard of Curt Cignetti, some of you probably didn’t even know James Madison is joining the FBS next year. The Dukes are coming into the Sun Belt with a head of steam. JMU has remained one of the top programs in the FCS in Cignetti’s three years at the helm. James Madison has finished in the top 3 in the FCS rankings every year of his tenure. We’ll see just how well the Dukes will translate into one of the G5′s best leagues.

1. Luke Fickell

Record at Cincinnati: 48-15 Overall Record: 55-22 Division Championships: 3 (2019, 2020, 2021) Conference Championships: 2 (2019, 2020)

Movement: Up 4 spots

Well deserved. Luke Fickell has returned Cincinnati to football prominence. The Bearcats capped off an undefeated 2021 season with the first ever trip by a G5 team to the Playoff. All that and two top ten finishes in the row show us that Cincinnati is the best G5 program out there. They won’t be for long as the Bearcats are heading to the Big 12 in a few years to once again play with the big boys in an AQ conference.
