1) favorite fic you wrote this year this might be controversial (to only me) but I actually really liked Empty Spaces. I'm the type of writer who will go on forever and write way too much, so this fic challenged me to tell a complete story with a limited word count and I'm kind of proud of how it came out!

3) favorite line/scene you wrote this year oh bestie I actually know exactly what my answer is:

(But maybe that’s the game, she thinks on one of the days when she’s able to sit up, when a scintilla of clarity graces her foggy brain. Maybe the game is to see how close she can get to touching death without going over the edge.)

and I like it for two specific reasons. one, it was a line I wrote when I was really struggling and it helped me process what it was that I was feeling. two, it's in Natasha's pov and I thought the word choice was... fitting.

4) total number of words you wrote this year I- oh. oh my. it was 98,374 this year

7) longest completed fic you wrote this year *looks at control* *sighs in incomplete disappointment* Watch it Burn, with a mere 3,712 words because I do not know how to finish something once I've started

Fun fact that has no relevance to the story whatsoever. Honestly just here for Bobbi being weak and frail and then glowing up into her Amazonian goddess self and Hunter being all heart eyes, motherfucker for her. Not to mention there’s so many instances where ‘don’t die out there’ becomes applicable? Also also, fem!Captain America is hot and I don’t make the rules.

Loch: Haha would Tatum count? Tatum’s holding Loch like half the time cuz he’s only 4 and can’t always swim as fast. Part of it us just because he’s young, but he’s also a bit malnourished unfortunately. Tatum is too but he’s 17 and takes care of Loch

Seven: Sev has mild cerebral palsy and uses forearm crutches! The cerebral palsy also translates when they’re in Syreni form so their tail doesn’t work quite as well either. So they have crowbars! They use then to pull themselves through the water, grabbing onto things and launching themself forward. Sometimes a friend will help them through the water too, either pulling them along of letting them kinda piggyback ride, though this only happens if they need to get somewhere fast

The best comment (it was actually an email) ’ve ever received was on a Buffy fic. A reader wrote to tell me that she’d gone through a huge depressive episode and that she’d read that fic (it’s ~120K) at least ten times during it, because the fic is about depression and mental illness, and she felt that if Buffy could be in a better place at the end, then it gave her some hope as well. 

I cried so hard over that comment. 

I tend to dismiss my stories as being silly, self-indulgent little things and here was this story doing so much work to help someone 😭😭

It really meant a lot to me that this person reached out to tell me how the story had been a bright spot in the darkness.
