Starts With N, Part 1
Johnny Nash - Stir It Up / Ooh Baby You've Been Good to Me
A pretty solid Bob Marley cover, backed with an upbeat feel-good tune. I enjoyed both sides, especially as the sound quality was still high for both. Nash has a very polished voice that I don't think people recognize for its merits so much anymore, but this is some fine work.
Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now / How Good It Is
A little fuzzy, but there's lots of vitality on this A-Side, and the song definitely endures as a classic of its era. It's not actually easy to convey joy with sincerity in a song, but this is how you do it if you're going to try. And then the B-Side does it again! This disc is a ray of sunshine and I love it.
Nazz - Open My Eyes / Hello It's Me
I really like the song, but it's regrettable that the surface of the disc has been damaged and makes a lot of distracting noise, particularly in the beginning. Most of the song still comes through pretty clearly though. The B-Side is not as damaged, though it is a little fuzzy. I was unaware of this phase of Todd Rundgren's career until I checked the songwriter credits. This version of "Hello It's Me" is pretty nice, I'm going to have to listen to the Rundgren solo version again and compare.
Rick Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band - Garden Party / So Long Mama
I've always enjoyed this song pretty well, and here it is in basically pristine form. "So Long Mama" has a mellow country vibe, which pairs reasonably well with the mellow LA music industry vibes of "Garden Party." A very solid disc.
The New Seekers - When There's No Love Left / Beautiful People
As near as I can tell, this is a double A-Side, or perhaps a reissue? I'm not really feeling these guys or their pop-orchestra sound, but "Beautiful People" is a nice enough song. Sound quality is reasonably OK.
The New Seekers - Look What They've Done to My Song Ma / It's a Beautiful Day
I do like this song, and its music hall energy is charming. Too bad about that little white spot in the middle that won't come off and causes the record to skip/repeat. There's no such problem on the B-Side, which is some straightforward sunny pop that goes down nicely.

(Art from earlier this year, so the style is a little different)
School Spirit Sisters! Originally, I never imagined Freya joining the Peach Creek cheer squad (she seems more like a marching band kid, tbh) but I think Nazz would talk her into it.
She's not very good at her choreography, but she's good at tossing the younger cheerleaders around and she makes a great base for the pyramid. Plus, she gets to spend more time with her lil' sister.

After 2 years, I've finally completed Peach Creek High School. This is the school An, Edd n Eddy goes to since they're at a highschool age.
Tumblr media
Like the college in SMG4 has clubs to choose from, Peach Creek High School has clubs for them to take interest in, however, history, social studies, math, science, P.E., and art are all required classes.
Many American highschools have grades 9-12, I decided that this School has grades 7-12. Why? I tried to figure out which school system to choose because for some reason, I keep thinking about Jonny and the others, so I thought like "screw it!" and make it an American highschool that has an Australian School system.
However, there are characters like Sarah, Jimmy, Edgar, Anna-Bella, and Emmalie that also take this school too. Probably for clubs they're interested in before going back to elementary school.
Clubs:
•Art club (required class)
•Orchestra club
•Band club
•Jazz club
•Book club
•Crafts, Design, and Fashion club
•Technology club
•Drama club
•Knitting club
•Language club (There are many language clubs depending on language.)
•Work Experience club
•Woodwork and construction club
•Writer's club
•Cooking club
•Sports clubs (American Football, soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, and badminton)
•Dance/ballerina club
•Cheerleading club

Regarding the My Fair Ed analysis below, I still think Ed and Eddy are assholes in that episode. Because they started just being kids, but then they were dismissive and uncaring of Double D's issue. In the start of the episode Double d tried explain the situation and eddy just answers: ''tell'em to stick it in hat''- he don't care about his friend being punished for his own mistakes. Soon, to get back at edd, they start deliberately hurting the kids so they can transfer the blame on edd. They were oblivious on the benniging, but so then start porpusely harming innocent people when they were supposed to just be aiming at edd.
Not to mention both Ed and Eddy consciously enjoying pain in eahc other through the pavlovian training (Ed saying ''naughty naughty, you watch yourself mister. Eddy ripping off one Ed's band-aid).
i guess my point is that eddy is always like that; he's always defiant and aggressive. eddy does what he wants and ed typically goes along with whatever eddy does. and in this case, they were just being silly and chasing each other. yes, at the end they're being needlessly destructive while trying to get back at double dee. but when was the last time those two stopped to take anyone's feelings into account before doing something? plus, what they did was pretty mild in comparison. with the exception of nazz, idk what they did to her 👀 i did say they're just barely below edd if i was gonna rank them.
the kids really are the worst here. they're all super annoying in this ep. they caught edd alone and went after him because he's an easy target that can't run very fast.
and then it's just interesting to me that double dee only wanted to modify their behavior when he got in trouble for it. he shouldn't have been blamed for what the other two do, but he does like to act like he's the moral compass of peach creek.
and again, he might've just reached a breaking point after two seasons of nonstop melee and mischief. BUT he admitted he was wrong for the way he went about trying to teach them manners. or as he put it, trying to change who they are.
what it boils down to in my mind is that edd doesn't really care what ed and eddy do until it affects him somehow. he'll often passively apologize for their actions or chide them, but never abandons them. i think he's more afraid of consequences for himself than worried that they might actually hurt someone or damage something. and i'm not saying edd is "bad", he's just edd.
ultimately i love eene because literally everyone is an asshole in one way or another. people often say the show is very "mean-spirited" and i agree, and love it.
most importantly, all this is just my dumb opinion. it's okay to disagree with me! i'm probably wrong anyway 🤡

THE CHEETAH CLUB (September 1967 - August 1968), previously the Aragon Ballroom erected in 1922, was located at 1 Navy St. (Lick Pier) in Venice. The Doors, Ike & Tina Turner, Pink Floyd, The Nazz (an outfit that evolved into Alice Cooper) and Big Brother & The Holding Company with Janis Joplin and many other bands played here during its brief one and a half year occupancy. It was destroyed by a fire on May 26, 1970.

Storia Di Musica #273 - Todd Rundgren, Something/Anything?, 1972
In scaletta pezzi che diventeranno hit come I Saw The Light, ispirata al suono dei Beatles, It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference, altra hit, in stile Motown, The Night The Carousel Burnt Down, canzone da night club, cristallina e deliziosa. Sperimenta di tutto: i ritmi latini in One More Day (No World), sonda il blues in I Went To The Mirror, è cupo e dannato nella gotica Black Maria, satura di feedback chitarristici, omaggia persino Hendrix nella bellissima Little Red Lights.

Ohh, yeah Ziggy played guitar, jammin' good with Weird and Gilly And the Spiders from Mars, he played it left hand But made it too far Became the special man, then we were Ziggy's band Ziggy really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo Like some cat from Japan, he could lick 'em by smiling He could leave 'em to hang They came on so loaded man, well hung and snow white tan So where were the Spiders? While the fly tried to break our balls Just a beer light to guide us So we bitched about his fans, and should we crush his sweet hands? Ziggy played for time, jiving us that we were voodoo The kids were just crass, he was the nazz With God given ass He took it all too far, but boy could he play guitar Making love with his ego Ziggy sucked up into his mind Like a leper Messiah When the kids had killed the man I had to break up the band Ohh, yeah Ziggy played guitar

Nazz Boxset on Tap
- Todd Rundgren’s first studio band to be focus of Lost Masters & Demos, due Dec. 2
Lost Masters & Demos, a new boxset of previously unreleased recordings by Nazz, figures to be a window into the beginnings of Todd Rundgren.
Due Dec. 2, it’s previewed with the original acetate version of “Forget all about It,” the track that would eventually open 1969’s Nazz Nazz.
The sound quality is poor and the song is little more than an American band trying to sound British. But it’s a fascinating glimpse into the group - beyond their original albums - that launched Rundgren on his unique course.
The forthcoming release contains Rundgren’s original rough mix of Nazz Nazz alongside other heretofore-unavailable material, including 1967-’68 alternate versions of such cuts as “Hello it’s Me,” “Kiddie Boy” and “Open My Eyes,” songs Rundgren performs to this day.

Straight Up - Badfinger (1971 Review)
Tumblr media
Badfinger’s third album Straight Up from 1971 is a step up once again from their previous album. This album has absolutely no duds at all, the lowest this album goes is an 8 with the song “Flying”. As for the highest it goes, well that goes to the kickass rocking track “Sometimes”. Another interesting thing about this album is that one of the producers was Todd Rundgren, best known as a member of the band Nazz and his solo career right after that, both of which made him an influential pioneer in Power Pop up there with Badfinger and even Alex Chilton of Big Star. Saying it Just in case the next album isn’t higher, it’s all gonna be downhill from here 9.4/10 Listen to the album here

favorite song atm?
it's probably catch me now I'm falling by the kinks but the live version recorded in 1979 off of one for the road. the live version just has that edge to it. probably should mention open my eyes by nazz, itchycoo park by the small faces, I'm just a singer (in a rock and roll band) by the moody blues and the everpresent early morning wake up call by flash and the pan are songs I've been listening to a lot, but wouldn't consider my outright favourite
