~ it just slipped from your lips in the heat of the moment. you had been really hazy and a bit delirious and matt had been deep inside you when it just popped out. and yes, it did catch him by surprise for about half a second since he wasn't expecting it and it wasn't something you'd ever called him before. but in the same half a second he was caught off guard, matt decided he loved it. he doesn't say anything about it in the moment, but it was the way you said it, with your shaky voice barely coherent and your pretty eyes crossed, overwhelmed with pleasure. matt takes it as a sign that he's doing a really good job, and best believe he makes it his mission to get one of those out of you again every time you two get intimate. on the other hand, expect pretty relentless teasing about it. matt both finds it amusing and a hell of a turn on how easily he can get you off, how he can make you just lose yourself like that.

a/n: i've been rewatching death note so i'm thinking of taking reqs for l, light, and near. feel free to send any ideas !! (preferably light x male reader)

gn reader (no pronouns used)

⋆｡°✩ l - sharing his sweets

you rub the sleepiness out of your eyes as you stumble out of your hotel bedroom and into the main room. l sits in his usual position on one of the chairs; absentmindedly pulling his bottom lip between his fingers. he pauses slightly when he hears you approach as he continues looking through the various files sprawled across the desk.

“anything new?” you murmur, setting a small, strawberry pastry down beside him.

“nothing yet.” l replies.

he reaches over to hold the plate up to his lips. he breaks off a small piece before handing it over to you. “thank you,” you softly smile at him. the treat tastes sweet in your mouth. you pick a piece of fresh strawberry from the top as you watch l continue to work. “it’s getting late.”

“i’ll come to bed soon. you don’t have to wait up for me.”

you shake your head. “i’ll stay.”

l startles slightly when your head falls against his shoulder. he stares at you with wide eyes as your eyes flutter closed; your body relaxed against his side. he stiffens beneath your touch as he contemplates what to do.

finally, he reaches over to gently shake you awake. “y/n,” he whispers. you blink up at him through tired eyes as he softly smiles at you. “we can go to bed now.”

⋆｡°✩ light - confiding in you

a soft sigh leaves your lips as you let yourself collapse onto light’s perfectly-made bed. he watches you from the corner of his eye with a soft smile as he pulls his chair back to sit down at his desk. “tired?” he asks.

“it was a long day,” you hum.

light walks over to sit beside you on his bed as a comfortable silence falls over the room as you move to sit beside him before light speaks again.

“somebody approached me today. he claimed that he was l.” you remain silent as his hands ball into fists; his eyebrows furrow in annoyance. “he’s screwed me. if he really is l, i can’t risk writing his name down. but if he isn’t, why would they still be investigating me?”

“light,” you whisper. you reach out to grab his hand, taking it into your own. he remains silent as you intertwine your fingers together in an attempt to soothe him. “think about it. they’re getting more desperate. why would l risk revealing himself to you if they have any reason to suspect you?”

you gently rub your thumb against light’s skin in an attempt to calm him. you watch as his shoulders slowly begin to relax before he nods. “you’re right,” he smiles. he leans in to pull you into a quick peck. “i’m glad i have you.”

⋆｡°✩ near - playing with his hair

“near?” you whisper as you cautiously approach the boy. he barely reacts as you walk over to sit on the ground beside him; his hand continues absentmindedly stacking and restacking blocks. he twists a stray strand of hair between his fingers.

“it’s late.” you say. your voice cuts through the previous silence. despite his seeming apathy, you can tell he’s listening by the way his hands momentarily pause their building. “will you come to bed with me?”

near remains silent for a few minutes in response. you carefully reach over to rest a gentle hand against his back before you slowly begin to rub small circles against his skin.

his deliberation comes to an end when he restacks the blocks. “okay.” you smile softly as he intertwines your fingers together, following after you as you stand up and lead him to a small, designated bedroom.

near slips underneath the covers first before you join him. he curls his body up beside you, leaning his head against your chest. the soft locks of his hair tickle against your bare skin as he comfortably nuzzles himself into your warmth.

you bring a hand up to carefully begin to card your fingers through near’s hair; twisting the strands between your fingers much like he does. “i like it when you do that,” he whispers into the darkness.

you smile, leaning down to press a kiss against his forehead. “get some rest, near.”

🕯Characters: Light Yagami, L Lawlet, Misa Amane, Nate Rivers (Near), mail jeevas (matt), and Miheal Keehl (mello)

Light Yagami:

Wouldn’t be the happiest with it, now having to find a way to cover up not only the bruise you left, but the bite mark too.

Don’t get him wrong! He absolutely loved it, but he’d prefer if you’d done it lower on his neck.

He made sure to leave you with a hickey you could cover, not wanting to be petty

He gets a little embarrassed when L brings it up.

“We should be focusing on the Kira case, not my neck”

“You’re Right, however, You’re neck is very distracting” -L

L Lawlet:

To be honest, he didn’t even notice that you left a hickey on his neck till that morning as he was getting dressed

“Angel? What’s this? You know I have work”

“I couldn’t resist! Plus it looks cute!!”

He ended up putting a band aid over it, which honestly drew in a lot more attention then the hickey

After work, he made sure to get pay back, leaving hickeys all over you’re thighs and neck, making it so you wouldn’t be able to wear normal shirts, skirts or shorts for a whole week

Not that you mind though, in fact you even wore you’re shortest shorts and the cutest tank top to the task force head quarters just to mess with him

Misa Amane:

She absolutely loves being marked up by you. Happily displaying and show casing the mark on her neck

Her modeling agency wasn’t too happy about it, taking a majority of their time coving it up with make up before photo shoots

She left you with a couple too, hers being heart shaped

“Woah, how’d you make em into hearts?”

“Hehe, it’s a secret”

She liked the way light would look at the two of you, she thought he was jealous cuz she’d managed to score the hottest person in the world

Near (Nate Rivers):

He didn’t really care to be honest, no one In the ncu had said anything about it

Near didnt even bother to cover it up, the bright purple mark on display for everyone to see, the mark coming just above where his shirt collar started.

Of course, he got his pay back, leaving a bunch of harsh bite marks all over your neck and collar bones, which hurt like a bitch.

The only time he’d ever cover up a mark you left is when he had to meet up with important people

Matt (Mail Jeevas):

Absolutely loves them, hes a total sucker for any types of marks left on his body.

Made sure to wear low cut shirts and tank tops to show them off along with the dark scratch marks on his back

Of course, you were left with plenty of marks too, ur skin still had a little wax left over from last nights activities ;)

“You look good with those marks, I should of left more”

Mello (Miheal Keehl):

Just like Matt, mello Fucking loves ur hickeys.

As soon aa he felt you leaving one, he begged you to cover his entire neck and chest in them

When he woke up the next morning he took his time admiring the marks, running his fingers along the new bruises and bite marks that now covers a good portion of his neck

“You like them?”

“I love them, I need more”

Mello happily shows them off, loving how his mafia members get jealous that he got some last night

He’s taken about a million photos of them by now

Did I mention he’s absolutely obsessed with the marks you leave on him?

Do you think Near is the type to get jealous? I don’t remember if you already answered a question like this. If so, my apologies, just ignore.

Near does not get jealous. Jealousy implies that he feels in any way insecure about the arrangement the two of you have. He doesn’t. He does not enjoy watching other people take up time you should be spending with him, though. You should be spending time with him. He’s more than enough for you. Why would you want to spend time with other people? He pays you more than enough for your time; he should have some sort of right to you, shouldn’t he? Aren’t you his? This mindset is reinforced if the two of you have gone past the “I’m paying you to spend time with me” phase because then it’s a lot more confusing why you would want to spend time with someone you aren’t romantically or physically involved with. So jealousy isn’t a big issue, but possessiveness is.

I was going to put verbal and motor in the title but it was so long... M & N (m'n'm haha) separately let's go!

Mello

the main canon thing I know about Mello is he's a bit of a dick. so I hate to say it but he's probably going to poke fun at you. until he realises he's genuinely upsetting you, at which point he mumbles something and stops.

you might find a box of chocolates outside your door as a wordless apology.

there will still be the occasional jab

but he's going to go "secretly a sweetheart" mode

because if he's close with you, he's close with you for a reason and that reason is that he cares about you. (even if he kind of hates himself for it)

So, like L, he'll start asking questions, some insensitive, but he's trying to learn so he is no longer such a dick. unlike L he won't do any research at all lmao so the most obvious things will leave him with a shocked Pikachu face...

I actually think if your verbal tics are words as opposed to simply humming or clearing your throat etc, he'd start saying those words more often. just using them in general conversation no matter what they happened to be.

that's actually something that a lot of people do, did you know? we tend to use words more often if we're close with people who say them often

someone will have to tell him eventually that drawing attention to tics can make them worse, at which point he'll freeze up for half an hour and stare at the wall - probably in embarrassment, it's hard to tell. for a few days after that he'll be really awkward just because he's not used to not talking about things.

Mello is the kind of guy who completely blows past taboos, but knowing that focusing on your tics makes it harder for you means he won't want to bring it up anymore

but yeah after maybe a week or so things go back to normal

well as normal as things can ever be with Mello around...

Near

Near, on the other hand, will seem not to notice you have tics at all no matter how disruptive they are to you or how often they show

but of course when you tell him he just quietly says "I know" and goes back to building a tower out of pipe cleaners. though he might invite you to join in considering you're already there

He's so much better about it than Mello lol

he just doesn't really care either way if you have tics or not...

you're still you.

I also hc that Near has some kind of motor disability that affects his legs so he probably is more understanding of potential discrimination or struggles you may have faced

if one of your tics led to you knocking down one of his buildings he'd get a little upset but definitely not as much as if anyone else did it.. he'd probably make you help him rebuild it... that or make you sit five feet away for a while

Like L, I think Near would probably get a little bit scared if your verbal tics were yelling out words. no, actually, he'd probably get a little shocked at any sudden movement or sound. he's not obvious about it though, his body just jolts a little and he goes still for a moment, then returns to normal

he doesn't really ask any questions because he probably already knows everything he wants to know, but he's happy to sit and listen while you talk about anything - tic-related or not - if you'd like that. he will probably not talk back though haha

I think if he heard anyone, particularly Mello, giving you trouble over your tics, he'd throw dice at them

... anyway

yeah he's just chill about it in general. Doesn't see it as anything that needs particular attention: he's more interested in your hobbies and whether you like solving puzzles than the fact that sometimes your body acts in ways you can't control.

bodies are pretty stupid, aren't they?

↘ Oh, she is definitely one of the most beautiful women in the university and gets a scholarship every year for her academic achievements. She is not competitive and doesn’t try to be; she simply has an innate talent for quickly remembering informations and numbers and uses it to get the best grades, and thus awards or recognition among professors.

↘ She is not very interested in relationships; many boys chase after her, but she doesn’t care at all. Brown-haired girl much more prefers to focus on her career and private goals (both in the Kira case and her job in the investigative department).

↘ Nevertheless, if the situation requires it, she will use her charm and grace to achieve what she needs. This woman will stop at nothing when her own life is at stake.

gn!reader

asking them “can i kiss you?” ft. light, l, near, mello, and matt!

light

ᥫ᭡ he’s silent for a bit just after you timidly ask, and it makes you think that maybe you shouldn’t have said anything. but just when you’re beginning to feel embarrassed, he gently takes your chin and presses your lips to his.

it’s a short but sweet kiss, and he isn’t too rough. he thinks it’s cute how you blush and avert your eyes after your lips break apart. light also really likes the fact that you asked- even though he would have been just fine if you’d kissed him without a warning.

l lawliet

l is actually caught off guard. he isn’t even totally used to the idea of having a partner yet, let alone physical affection. still, he nods slowly, and he’s completely in love when your lips touch his. he does his best to kiss you back properly- not overly rough but not too tender.

there’ll be a few seconds of silence afterward with the both of you blushing like crazy and avoiding each other’s gazes. but soon, l will turn back to you and ask if he can kiss you again. the second kiss will probably be longer than the first.

near

“…you want to kiss me?”

he will also not be expecting it, but he was really quite anxious to kiss you. near just doesn’t know how to initiate something like that- so he’s really glad that you asked; now he won’t feel so strange about initiating physical touch later.

his eyes will drop down to rest on your lips for a half a second before he moves in to place his lips on yours as carefully as possible- he doesn’t want to accidentally be too rough. it’s not long before near pulls away though, but it’s just to take you in before he kisses you again more deeply. there might be a hand on your cheek or jaw this time. he finds he really enjoys kissing you and doesn’t really want to let go.

mello

if he hadn’t kissed you himself already without being prompted, i would be surprised. but when you ask, it’s pretty clear he’s been waiting for the invitation for a while. mello did try to be patient for you.

he won’t go as hard as he usually would for any other kiss, starting out gingerly enough. but when you show no sign of wanting to pull away, he’ll kiss you harder, losing much of his restraint. mello probably will put a hand on your face or neck. he does pull away eventually, smirking some when he sees the flustered look on your face and your attempts to conceal the smile spreading across your lips.

matt

“i thought you’d never ask!”

matt is eager to kiss you and happy that you asked; he definitely finds it cute. his demeanor is cool on the outside, but his stomach is doing cartwheels. someone as attractive as you asking if you could kiss him??

he doesn’t waste any time in pressing his lips to yours. if you’re standing, he might also pin you by your shoulder against a wall to keep you still while he kisses you. feeling you smile against his lips makes his entire day. when you pull away, you both feel like it wasn’t enough.

It's been a while since I've written for this fandom, but I hope you still want these! ♡ Anyway, I'll be a bit more active these couple of days. Requests are open :)

L eyes the flowers deadpan, then looks at you. "You don't need to go out of your way to buy cheesy things for me," he says bluntly. Of course, he would say something like that. But you assure you have these gestures to show that you love him and want him to feel valued and appreciated. He gives you a tiny smile before accepting the flowers.

Mello: Before tender offerings like this, Mello can't help but feel terribly out of place. Back at Wammy's, no one cared for him, and in the Mafia, it was all about alliances and interests. So, for him, it's a peculiar sensation—feeling cherished. Despite the mix of vulnerable feelings, he smirks and charmingly takes the gift, not without teasing you for it.

Matt doesn't care for most things; in fact, he barely cares about anything. Definitely, before you gift him the flowers, he swears romantic gestures like this were indifferent to him. However, it feels more than nice to know you're thoughtful enough to make such a gesture. Despite his initial thoughts on the matter, Matt finds himself smiling like a fool.

Near: He's more than happy to have you around. The timbre of your voice soothes him in ways he can't quite grasp. You're aware of this, even though he doesn't always meet your gaze when you speak. His attention only shifts upon hearing the rustle of wrapping paper. He's stunned for a moment before you explain. Near takes the gift gently. "You shouldn't have bothered. Thank you." You smile at him, and he keeps the flowers close until they eventually wither.

Near hardly ever got good things in life. Of course, he enjoyed cases, puzzles, toys but really he never got things that were for him personally.

But the relationship he has with you, his girlfriend, you are his completely. He needs that with you, he needs you to only be his because you’re his safe haven. His home he goes to after long, stressful days.

And now, you’re talking to Gevanni and he’s looking at you like you hung the moon. You’re laughing your pretty laugh, tucking your hair behind your ear and swaying back and forth on your feet. You look absolutely stunning.

Gevanni absolutely sees it too, the look on his face proves it. Near was positively fuming internally, his hands on the verge of shaking around his toys.

Then Gevanni takes a gamble and puts a hand on your left hand, the hand that’s wrapped a coffee cup. You smile stutters and your eyes drop down to where you’re connected to him. Near is up before he even knows what he’s doing.

“What’re you doing? You ask with a confused, strange look on your face.

Gevanni opens his mouth to speak but suddenly, a certain white haired boy is in between both of you.

“Y/n, we need to talk.”

You nod, grateful for the escape and follow Near out of the room without looking back. Once in a separate room, you grab Near’s arm softly and turn him towards you.

“What’s up?”

“He is sexually attracted to you, Y/n. I want you to try to keep your distance for a little while.”

You made a face. “Yeah, I thought so I just didn’t think he’d go so far as to make a move on me, especially in front of you.”

Near makes a similar face and he doesn’t say anything for a few seconds.

“Are you sexually attracted to him as well?”

“What?! No! God no! Near, he is not- I’m not- God, you’re my boyfriend. I don’t like him that way, I swear.”

Near nods but it doesn’t feel sincere, like he agrees but barely as if it’s subconscious. “Okay.”

“You don’t believe me.” You sigh but you’re not angry, just sad. Then a fire ignites in your eyes, bright and burning and forgotten your hand drops from his shoulder to grab his hip.

“Can I show you? That I mean it?” You ask, caressing him softly.

His eyes are wide, unknowing and he nods again, this time with energy. You kiss him on the cheek with a grin and then steadily drop until you’re kneeling. You kiss his clothed thighs then around his crotch, right around the the bulge that’s begging for attention.

Eagerly, you unbutton his pants and tug them down with a excited giggle. Nearly tearing his boxers off with joy, you finally place a kiss on his bare right thigh.

Near looks down on you with an unreadable expression. A quarter lust, a quarter fear, a quarter joy and the rest seems to be giddiness.

Your face is warm with love for him and when he smiles a little nervously, you smile back and lean forward to his excitement.

“You’re it for me, Near. Just you. I’ll show you everyday if that’s what it takes.”
