If it weren't for the catastrophic situation, it would never have occurred to me to part with it.

But I'm glad that these things can serve a good purpose and make someone else happy.

🐍This is a piece that took me about 8 years to complete.

It is an incredibly technically complicated artwork.

Every scale of this snake is hand carved! And it contains three hidden mechanisms inside.

To give you an idea of how difficult it was to make this necklace: first the neck and shoulders model was hand carved from wood, and then the snake itself was carved from wax over several months.

We used 3D models of 14 living snakes to make the necklace as realistic as possible.

We studied hundreds of photos and videos of different kinds of snakes to recreate every little detail. I’ve visited private terrariums twice to put a live snake around my neck to get some real references.

The snake is fastened on the neck with three secret mechanisms, which are absolutely invisible when it’s closed.

💎 It took six months to find the perfect stones. These natural labradorites have a pattern that really replicates the pupil of a snake's eye, and in different light the crystals glow differently, shimmering from gray to bright blue, creating a mesmerizing effect of a live gaze.

This work of art is so difficult to execute that the craftsman who made it said he would never, ever take on such work again.

It was created for me as a special talisman, like a totem - a snake sleeping on the shoulders, ready to wake up and protect from danger.

Truly one of a kind.
