He sent a message?! Gojo fucking sent a message!!

You were too scared to open your phone to read the notification. The thought of him somehow knowing you were just watching his stream made you nauseous.

How would he know?! "Pull yourself together!" You palm your face.

Shakily unlocking your phone you look at the notification.

Oh fuck.

"Hey! Aren't you the girl always with Shoko?" He texted.

Fuck he knows who you are.

This is it. Might as well dig yourself a damn grave. He knows! You know he knows. He has to...

You opened the message. Taking a long breath to calm the storm of nerves in your stomach.

"Yes haha you popped up on my suggested ppl to follow" Your hands took literally five minutes to type that out.

That's so embarrassing. Why the hell are you so nervous now. You don't even really know Satoru. He just happens to hang out with Shoko, and so do you.

You decided to turn off the nerve wracking device. Throwing it on the other side of the bed. Turning your ringer off.

"I just need to take my ass to bed..." You groan.

It was late. You were exhausted from your little intimate session with Gojo. You laid flat on your back. Staring at the ceiling fan.

All you could see when you closed your eyes was his di- No! Ew! Stop it! You couldn't possibly do this website anymore.

You'd never see Gojo Satoru the same way. Like ever.

You growled in frustration. You never even gave Gojo a second glance when he was around. Was it wrong to look at him now, only because you've seen him naked? A small pang of ashamed emotions crowded your head.

You pick your phone up. He texted back a while ago. He asked when you'd be around Shoko again. Your heart sank.

You couldn't face him! Not after seeing him jerk off. Not after hearing his groans of pleasure. Nope! Maybe you should just jump off the face of the earth. Avoid the embarrassment. Yea. Probably should.

You finally go back to the message. You weren't sure when you and Shoko would meet up again, and that's exactly what you told him.

He just sent a simple "oh" and then a quick "night". Wait was he upset? Why would he be upset?

You told him goodnight before putting your phone down again. You closed your eyes and quickly fell asleep. Damn you were exhausted. You haven't fallen asleep this quick in a while. The last thing on your mind was him. Mr. SixEyed himself.

When the sun began to peek through your blinds you stirred awake. Your eyes feeling irritated. Probably because you had less than 8 hours of sleep.

Or maybe because you had a faint remembrance of seeing Satoru in your dream? That's so weird! Ugh. You know what you just needed to see Shoko. Get this off your mind before it drove you to insanity.

You got up from bed. Hunched over your knees on the side of it. Damn you felt exhausted. Nonetheless you had to get up from bed and start your day. You had errands to do and today starts the weekend. You're sure Shoko would want to go out tonight.

She always drags you to some club near campus. Like clockwork. Every. Single. Friday.

You eased yourself off the bed. Stumbling to the bathroom. The sight of yourself in the mirror startled yourself. Your hair was a mess. Oh yikes.

You grabbed your brush and swiftly brushed the rats nest on your head. Wincing as you brushed through a knot. Once your lions mane was tamed you walked towards the bathtub. Turning the faucet handle all the way to the little "H" symbol.

You looked in the basket above your toilet and pulled out a speaker. Connecting your phone to it to listen to music. Hoping to wake yourself up.

Once you turn on your playlist and undressed. Just as you were about to get into the shower you heard a ding.

Shoko texted.

She just said you two were going out tonight.

You stifled a giggle and shook your head. Damn it's only 7 in the morning!

Ding.

"We're going to a different club this time. I know Satoru goes sometimes! And his hot friends! ;)"

Your heart sank. Fuck. Hopefully he won't be there. Hopefully he'll be busy. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Wait he doesn't even know you watched his stream last night. Okay. Calm down. Just don't be awkward tonight and you'll be perfectly fine!

Shoko was waiting for you, sitting impatiently on your bed. A devious smirk spread across her lips.

"Sho... I can't wear this!" You whine out behind your bathroom door. You eyed yourself in the mirror. The dress she bought you was... Sleazy. Totally not in your comfort zone. You had an eye-catching body but you were not about to show it off to horny, desperate men. The exception being that blue eyed man.

The dress was white. The color of innocence. The straps were thin, and the length of it was short. Coming just above the middle of your thighs. There were two cut outs on the right side, right under your breast.

Fuck you looked hot, but this was too revealing for your taste. You opened the bathroom door and Shoko's jaw dropped.

She jumped up from the bed and rushed in front on you. "You look amazing! Please wear it, please!" She begged. Her hands gripped your shoulders and she shook you gently.

You groaned slightly. "Fine!"

You had to admit, it was incredibly flattering on your body. It hugged your curves in just the right places. How the hell did Shoko know your size and everything, no idea. Although, you were grateful for her.

"Here wear these!" Shoko appeared from your closet. You were lost in admiring the dress you didn't notice she had left your side. She was holding your only pair of baby blue high heels. Why the hell did you even buy them? They almost never went with anything you wore, but this dress... It was perfect.

"They match Satoru's eyes." Shoko mumbled and smirked. You only heard his name and then glanced back at the shoes. Your eyes widening in realization.

"Shoko I swear. I'm not going to seduce him tonight! I've only had one tiny conversation with him." You growl in slight annoyance. Shoko knew you weren't mad though. You never had the heart to be mad at her.

Her head tilted to the side. Confusion all over her face. "When?!" She eagerly awaited your response.

You sit on your bed and take the heels from her. Slipping them over your feet, huffing in annoyance as you couldn't buckle the straps. Shoko noticed your little exhale and knelt down to help you.

You gave her a soft smile and then looked away. "I added him on Insta last night. He added me back like immediately. Then asked me if I was the girl you hang out with." You blushed at the thought of Gojo. What the hell! No! You just met him.

Shoko finished up with your shoes and she smirked up at you. "Told you. I knew he'd wanna talk." She gave you a cheeky smile. Like this was her devious plan all along.

You roll your eyes and stand to your feet. Shoko gawked at you. She gave a little whistle, she always acted like a man towards you. Always buying you these sleazy dresses and then flooding you with compliments. "I love you Sho. Always making me feel so hot." You chuckled softly.

She hugged you from behind playfully. You stared at the two of you in your mirror. "Love you! Also we look so hot right now. Like holy shit!" Shoko gushed out. She heard a ding and spun around to the bed.

You nodded to yourself in agreement, feeling absolutely starstruck at your appearance.

"Hey, Suguru told me they are gonna be at the club soon."

You turned around and nodded to her. You knew Shoko had a bit of a thing for Suguru but she'd never openly admit it. It was so cute seeing her being oblivious to his flirting. They were always seen around campus, you basically third wheeled them. Unless Satoru was with Suguru.

Satoru always tried to start meaningly conversation with you, but you kind of ignored him. It was known around campus that he was a womanizer. Hence why you had no interest in him.

But now? You knew why girls gawked at him. He was incredibly confident, but soooo nonchalant. It was kinda annoying how he'd be so playful with Suguru but be so... indifferent towards you.

You took one last look at your makeup on your phone. The car coming to a halt. Shoko knew you didn't want to be the designated driver again this time, so the two of your ubered.

For some reason you felt on edge. Maybe you should have pregamed before you came.

Satoru and Suguru were in line outside the club. Satoru was on his phone occupied with something, while Suguru was intently looking at every car that approached. The two of you got out of the car.

You straightened your dress and tugged it down softly. Taking a deep breath. Shoko grasped your hand tightly and gave you a soft smile. "Calm down honey, you look stunning." She whispered to you.

She dragged you to the other two. Suguru smiling at Shoko with a heartfelt smile. He opened his arms for her, embracing her in an innocent manner. You gave him a soft wave, he let go of Shoko and hugged your side. Keeping it a respectful touch. "Don't be a stranger!" Geto chuckled.

Shoko rolled her eyes playfully as you hugged his side softly. "Gojo get off that damn phone!" Shoko playfully swatted his wrist. He released from his trance and met her eyes. A playful smirk across his lips.

"My favorite girl!" Gojo exclaimed before hugging her tightly. Shoko looked pissed but gave into his advances. She giggled loudly before he broke the embrace. You looked at Geto and he did not look pleased.

"Have you met-" Shoko said before slapping her forehead. Forgetting they hang out constantly. "Yea! We actually had a conversation last night." Satoru teased you.

You blushed softly and smiled. "Yea haha..." You nervously chuckled before looking away. He was wearing a tight black compression shirt with white slacks. And blacked out sunglasses? It was dark outside? Maybe he was just hiding his identity...

The four of you finally made it inside, after having a painfully long conversation. It made you anxious, you just needed to drink and dance already.

You found a circular booth to fit the group. The boys sat on the edges of the booth, while you and Shoko were sandwiched in the middle. Gojo manspread in his seat, his hand resting on his lap. While Geto placed an arm behind Shoko, sitting somewhat more proper.

Your leg was crossed on over the other, occasionally you would bounce your leg and your heel would graze Gojo's leg. He seemed to not take any notice to it, but it made your heart pound. Holy fuck did he look attractive.

"Would any of you like a drink?" A bottle girl appeared at the booth. Her outfit consisted of basically lingerie with a see through black dress over it. She stared at Satoru, gawking at the muscular man.

"Can we get two vodka redbulls?" Shoko asked. Her gaze adverting to Geto.

He smiled at Shoko before looking at the waitress, trying not to look anywhere but her eyes. "I'll take a beer. I don't care what kind, surprise me." His gaze was back on Shoko.

You looked at Satoru while he ordered. "Uh, can you make a 'sex on the beach'?" He questioned, his gaze wondering over her body. She nodded quickly and he nodded back before turning back to the group.

"That's a girly drink." Geto chuckled lowly. Satoru stretched out his arms, stretching one over the top of the booth above your back. He scoffed and rolled his eyes. Taking his glasses off and setting them down on the table. "It doesn't taste like shit, bitchass." Gojo teased.

Geto palmed his face before turning to Shoko to carry their conversation on.

You looked at Satoru's chest, then slowly up his arms. Finally meeting his face. Fuck! He was already staring into your fucking soul!

He gave you a smirk. "Like what you see?" He teased playfully.

You shook your head and looked away. Hoping he wouldn't see the blush across your face.

He leaned in closer to you. He mumbled your name softly. Making your head turn back to the attractive man. "You look gorgeous by the way." He smirked softly before pulling away. You became flustered by his comment. "T-Thanks." You said sheepishly before giving him a soft smile.

Shivers ran down your spine. The way he said your name made your heart pound in your ears.

Hell, he was a player, for sure. But he was so incredibly hot you couldn't help but feel so attracted to him.

The thought of his stream last night brushed your mind.

You studied Satoru carefully, biting your lip at the thought of his shirtless body.

No! Don't make it awkward!

He smirked at you, breaking your trance. Then with a quick movement the bottle girl placed the drinks on the table. Satoru's eyes never leaving yours.

Saved by the bell! You thanked the woman and took your drink quickly. Fuck this is so embarrassing!

do you have any tips for speaking to/reaching out to recruiters? i'm looking for new grad roles and ppl keep telling me to but i don't even know where to start or find any and all the articles online are so intimidating

The people are right, it's one of the best ways to put yourself out there! Oh, this is going to be a long one~!

I'll share tips from my own experience, this might help you, this might because I did it any other way but this:

I applied to a bunch of jobs: like for 5 days straight I was just apply just for the sake of it. The more jobs, the more recruiters have my CV/Resume in their database. I recommend LinkedIn the most as it's super easy to drop a message to the recruiter.

Applied to jobs that I had 50%+ chance of getting a call to: Obviously this means apply to jobs where you have the skills and the experience (work or in building projects etc). I say this because say they do call you but they ask you if you have this certain tech stack and you say no... end of call really. So, for me, I had like 2 or 3 things they were asking for in a candidate so I got through to the calling stage!

LinkedIn is actually your friend, don't be afraid: During my random job searching and whilst I was in my job, I had recruiters message me about job opportunities. Why? Because of my profile. You need to have your LinkedIn vamped up, check mine out for reference (click the LinkedIn icon). But make sure to have your skills e.g. About > Top skills, your work experience (paid or volunteer) and any certificates you have! If you're brave, not like me, start posting on there for a while.

LinkedIn again but Connections: Oh my days please follow people, even if you don't know them personally. I have 300+ connections (not to brag) but I only know like two handful of the people, the rest are of people who connect with people who I follow, I have met like 5 recruiters through this way.

Actually message the recruiters???: Okay so you followed the people, your CV/Resume is done and dusted and now you're ready to message those recruiters! In my case, I had more recruiters message me than the other way round only because I'm shy hehe so I wait for them to make the first move. They would probably send a whole message about the new job that have posted and see if you're interested and then, if you like the job, you can say "Yes please" or whatever is the appropriate reply is, and then they will send further information or arrange a phone call! If you want to message them first, I would find them more after applying for a job on LinkedIn, they usually add the recruiter in the job posting as a way for people to message them.

DO NOT FEEL AFRAID IN MESSAGING RECRUITERS: I say this because a) imagine 100 people apply for the job, only 5 would message the recruiter (I don't know if the stats are right, I just remembered that from bootcamp-) because everyone else is too afraid to do it! Missed opportunity! b) recruiters actually want people to message them. Now in terms of what to write to them? I don't know really. I would always go for the classic "don't repeat what's on your resume", they're going to read it anyways, so just talk a bit about your experience and skills A BIT like

"Hello/Hi, my name is [name]. I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to express my strong interest in the [Job Title] position at [Company Name], for which I recently submitted my application. I'm enthusiastic about the opportunity to join [Company Name] and contribute to [mention something specific you find appealing about the company or role, if possible]. I believe my skills and experience align well with the requirements of the position. Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to the possibility of discussing my qualifications in more detail. Best regards, [name]

No hire, don't be sad: Even if they don't hire you, or go through the next stages, keep in touch by even asking questions about what's on the market/what's new, how you could do better for other jobs you want to apply to that were similar to the ones you failed at. They could point you to the right direction! One recruiter said she wanted me to have more projects I was passionate about online like on GitHub or GitLab, even if they were "silly" projects - at the time, I didn't have much projects online so it made sense! See, I took that advice and now I'm a project making machine (a bit)! Advice they give sticks forever!

Remember, reaching out to recruiters and applying for jobs is a numbers game. The more applications you submit, the better your chances of landing interviews. I really hope this helps and I didn't make too many spelling mistakes! This is all of the things I could note down from the top of my head!

pete, patrick & andy on elvis duran 3.24.23

one time during a snl performance they were jumping around so much that it shook all the snl sets because they didnt know they were all connected lol

patrick talks about early days fob, how he never expected fob to be anything more than a side project for pete & andy bc they were in bigger bands at the time. he didnt even expect it to last the summer!

andy: “i can see into the future so i knew.”

interview: “[when touring] do you keep away from each other or spend a ton of time together?” andy: “all of that. seriously. we know when to stay away, we still hang out, we go to movies together, we get food together but also have our separate time.”

patrick talks about how it took a while to understand anger/frustration of people in the band “it’s like, ‘is pete mad at me?’ no! he’s frustrated with something.” talks about how theres not a lot of leaving the room and going “what was up with HIM???” anymore. “you know what everybody’s feeling, it’s kind of intuitive now.”

pete likes how genre-less music is nowadays

interviewer asks if pete gets opinions from his kids re: fob music. pete: “they give a lot of feedback, in general. [...] i don't take all of their advice, i don't let them a&r all of the songs, but they're pretty good at it.”

patrick does a johnny carson impression (bc andy quoted a line from a skit.. cute)

patrick talks about feeling like an older brother/”parental” when ppl injure themselves at shows now “i hope they’re okay! don’t break something!”

patrick: “i think i sleep so much less now than i ever used to... with kids, and i'm a little bit of a workaholic so when im not on stage im doing other things. i need to relax a bit i think.”

patrick [on working with neal avron again]: “it's like going back to your childhood home, but now you can drink.”

pete talks about how nihilism can be paralyzing for him, and how he sometimes doesn’t want to do anything because of it, but he feels that “life is short, so you gotta do a lot of stuff, you gotta make friends, do crazy things, make art... you just have to do things, and that’s important.”

patrick: “that was a heavy answer!”

pete: “life lessons are not meant to be [p&p in unison] light...”

interviewer asks how joe is! patrick: “he's good. i talked to him yesterday. i think its tough for him because he knows that he has to do it, but then he also hates not being here. it's difficult for him but he needed it. i think it's great to check in with him because he's just so excited to get back to it.” joe <3

interviewer asks about social media, and how it affects them because their radio station can get a bad tweet/review and it affects them badly, how does fob deal with it?

patrick: “i left. that's one of the reasons why i left. it just became this wild place for a little while [...] i'm also one of those people [that puts] it all into music, so i can't really communicate through other things."

pete pulls his sleeve down over his hand to sneeze into it. i just thought it was endearing lol

pete is pro-tiktok. he likes that people takes it and makes it their own through remixes/memes

suddenly! someone’s phone goes off. their ringtone is “fake out”. patrick gets SO excited he cuts the interviewer off mid question- “is that someone’s ringtone?! that makes me so happy! :D” he talks about how he never knows how the new stuff is going to be recieved so hearing it as someone’s ringtone made him super happy :D

AI talk in music (this kills the man --> me)

patrick: "i will say that if a song doesn't go over really well, and it's really hard to sing, i'm like: 'we don't HAAAVE to do that one, right?!'"

patrick: "we made [folie a deux] with neal avron and it was very experimental and we were pushing things and seeing what we could do, but we as a band at that time were very fractured and all over the place... i had this wanderlust to get back in the studio with [neal] now, because we are a such different band of people at this point. we get on so much better, we communicate better- both interpersonally and musically, so i was like, 'i would like to see that again'. [...] andy, you said it was like 'superpowers' we all have superpowers now. so i feel like the sound of this record is really just us actualised as us, at the height of our power.” (they say that last bit together : ) )

pete: “this is a record where we were able to realize that, 'oh! guitars are happening, and there's this fest happening in vegas, mgk, all these things...' and my friend was like, 'you guys should just do swgd part 2!' and i remember thinking, 'we absolutely have to NOT do that.' but we've got to do something that's adjacent, something that reminds everyone of fall out boy and i think with this record we've blended all of the eras of fall out boy together.”

First Meeting with Atsushi, Dazai, Chuuya and Ranpo (Part 1)

ngl you gotta be so fuckin' unlucky to meet them out of all the ppl u could've meet 💀

ps. this post and the next, next(2nd meeting) r connected obv, so some details will be kind of confusing

AtSUSHI

I'm walking up to one of the stores to buy something. I got in and picked up all the things I needed. There weren't a lot of people inside, but for some reason the moment I stepped inside I felt something is amiss and usually my gut feelings never gets wrong, so I'm confident that something is wrong and I've been trying to observe the surrounding—

“GET DOWN!” I shouted as loud as I can when I saw blinking in the upper corner of the store— just beside the CCTV camera and just like my hunch...

“AH!” A civilian screamed in shock. Something in that corner made an explosion, fortunately people who were left were already running out of the store before it exploded 1/3 of the store.

2 men came running towards the store, they introduced themselves as the Armed Detective Agency with their IDs. Though, to be honest I couldn't care less...

“Can you tell us what happened?” The boy with the er... unique? haircut asked.

“Boi, you have pretty uneven bangs”

“Oh? You thought so too” The boy wasn't offended but looks like he hears this on a daily basis. Though, I shouldn't have pointed that out.

“Oh, sorry I shouldn't have said that. Well, the CCTV camera is still working, it caught exactly what happened, it'd be better to ask the footage instead” They seemed confused.

“I made sure it wouldn't be damaged during the explosion, so that I wouldn't need to be interviewed” They said their appreciations and I said my goodbyes before going out.

OsaMUAH (DUHzai)

“Tell me... What do you know about that guy you're staring at?”

“Fuckin- Can you not talk to strangers such as me??” I got jumpscared by a guy who looked like a mummy... But hot though— priorities, anyways he's been following the guy who I have also been following, since he's the guy in my mission.

“You're with Ango aren't you” He wasn't even asking, that's a statement.

“And you're with ADA” I sighed my most tired one as this one seemed to be the most troublesome according to all the things I've heard about his glorious reputation before and after him joining the peaceful side.

“Look, you're prolly in a mission too about that guy, but my mission here is to gather informations about him, since he's one of our suspect so...” I observed his facial expression and ngl I enjoyed it more than I should've have.

“If you can exchange infos with me, I can let go of that guy for today and forget you ever followed that guy” I assumed he's also on a private matter with that guy and it seemed to be an important one considering it's only him investigating this.

“Hmm~” He gestured a thinking position. He looked at me again after 2 seconds.

“Commit a double suicide with me then it's a deal” Can I punch his pretty face?

“You can die alone” I retorted.

“Such harsh words from someone who's been enjoying herself while looking at my pretty face” I raised my eyebrow and made a disgusted face as a first response to that truthful claim.

“Fine” Was my second response.

ChūyUH

I walked in the elevator and pressed a floor. The elevator opened and I proceeded to go to our agency. Just as I was halfway of opening the door Kunikida spoke;

“Good morning, Y/N. Good timing I have work for you” I gave him my 'really?' face.

“It's not so 'good' morning anymore” I sighed before approaching Ranpo with his requested snacks, Ranpo hugged the paper bag full of calories.

“C'mon, it's just an errand, no serious cases” Supposedly easy tasks are always the dangerous ones and Atsushi can vouch me on that one.

“Yeah, sure” I strolled my way out off the building and walked my way to the location.

I'm supposed to meet a double agent who'll be delivering an important envelope to the agency by the request of the Special Division.

An 'errand' so to say.

I spotted a guy that matches the too detailed description of the double agent, so I started approaching him before a bullet head shot him. I wandered my eyes to locate the culprit and spotted the mafioso.

“Why kill him?” I asked since that guy wasn't even in the Port Mafia.

“Well, it was a request offered with a great sum of reward. Sorry to take your double agent” The last sentence was said sarcastically. He approached the now dead guy and tried looking for something.

“Looking for this?” I smirked while raising my hand with the envelope.

“How—” He tried to get it from me when I suddenly burned the envelope.

“Too bad, it's on Kunikida's table now” I can teleport any matter that I'm currently touching to places I've been.

“You could've saved that double agent if you wanted to, why didn't you?” He asked annoyingly.

“It wasn't in my task”

RUNpo

I spotted the crime scene I'm assigned with. I also spotted the infamous member of ADA. I walked my way closer to the detective.

“I'm from the Special Division, Y/N. I'm only here to collect a certain evidence” He's circling around the dead body like he's looking for something on the body.

“This case is under our agency. You'll have to wait until I close this case” He replied. I sighed mentally as I was hoping to finish this task as quickly as i can.

I waited at a nearby café, since I'm not about to stand under the burning sun for a long period of time.

8 minutes later I ate some of my words.

“You're already done??” I asked the agent who's now in front of me.

“Yeah. Is this the evidence you needed” He handed me the victim's phone.

“Thanks? How'd you know?”

“Buy me those cookies first” I was informed of his obsession to sweets and his amazing deduction skills, but I wasn't expecting him to solve it in less than 10 minutes.

He hugged the paper bag full of sweet pastries.

“You're under the Special Division-Tech. The victim had no other useful belonging with her in the crime scene other than her phone and wallet, you're not wearing any gloves and you chose to not watch over the crime scene in case the evidences get touched or go missing, so you're not here to collect any DNA nor did you need the contents inside the wallet. The phone gave away your position as a tech” He explained before walking away.

So I’ve seen a take that this shot represents a potential future for Powder of being kinda like the Firelights leaving her as Jinx takes over. And I don’t think that’s a bad take, it just felt unsatisfying to me. I think the thing with this shot is that:

1) or there’s a completely alternate explanation cos the bug being inside her throat and crawling out is disturbing, and typically bugs on/inside a body are a source of horror in movies, so it’s weird that they’d attach this imagery to the symbol of Ekko and his gang. On top of that her eyes are closed until the firelight flies away, so again, weird imagery to show her “blind” when Powder, but awake/aware as Jinx.

2) or this is onto smth but I feel like smth is still missing. And so that got me thinking.

We know there was a scraped flashback scene between Ekko and Jinx. I think based on the concept art for little Jinx we can assume that it was created for that scene specifically and so the flashback would have taken place soon after ep 3 cos Powder looks exactly the same outside of the hairstyle. So in all likelihood that means Powder was the first person Ekko tried to rescue (like he did with all members of the Firelights), and if Powder went with him then she’d become the first of the Firelights with him before they would have found their other new friends. I kinda need this addition to be true cos then imo it makes this idea compelling, otherwise it’s kinda a tenuous connection. “Ekko is the leader of the Firelights and when he was little he was friends with Powder” – and that’s it, so we kinda need that scene that establishes that Powder was offered to become a Firelight but rejected it, so that the idea that “Powder loses /misses out on the potential future as a Firelight” would make sense.

Come to think of it and how the writers describe the scene as devastating/heart-breaking/smth like that, that would kinda count as a midway point for Jinx. We have the scene where Jinx is born, where her identity is solidified, but the Ekko flashback would have also counted as a devastating scene where Powder chooses to be Jinx and loses a loved one. So now I’m thinking that we’re missing quite the crucial piece of info cos of that scene being omitted. Obviously for Ekko but also crucially for the transformation from Powder to Jinx, which is kinda the main thing the show is about. I mean, we ARE missing the early Silco and Jinx dynamic, like, we can kinda imagine it, we know enough about her psychology and their relationship to put two and two together but it’s still interesting to think about SPECIFICALLY cos there was an alternative in Ekko but Powder days/weeks after ep 3 already prioritizes Silco over bonds/connections to her previous life.

A lot of ppl used to bring up the idea that even tho Silco is a flawed parent he probs still made Powder’s life better/safer than if she was an orphan, but Ekko somehow made it and we know he offered to help/rescue Powder so now I’m thinking the flashback might suggest the opposite, that Ekko found the tree really early on and that given a choice Powder picks Silco out of her own free will, even tho the alternative is just as good or even the better option. If the flashback was initially intended as the opening scene of ep 7 then that’d also mean the initial intention was to give the audience insight into why Ekko was so adamant that Powder is gone and that ‘she’s Silco’s now’. And maybe it’d also add context for their bridge fight scene (I feel like it’s needed).

And act 3 was also when the time for ambiguity passed and they started being really on the nose about the genuineness of Silco and Jinx’s relationship so this being the first scene of that act would be a really strong start, with it being shocking to the audience, communicating a shift in how Silco and Jinx’s relationship is portrayed and maybe even with it paralleling the last scene of act 2. If the scene was supposed to parallel Vi and Jinx’s reunion then that would show to the audience that ‘getting to Powder’ isn’t gonna be easy and therefore heighten the stakes for Vi’s future challenges.

I’m very appreciative of the fact that the majority of the OF fandom on here seems to view the characters with nuance and isn’t trying to label them as one thing or another, coz all these ppl are messy and human, and that’s honestly the fun of the show.

But then there are so many other ppl who want to slap labels on the characters. I swear this place is turning me into a Top apologist when I don’t even like him that much.

First of all, the idea that he’s only hanging around to sleep with Mew once is an assumption, and I don’t think it’s based on any real evidence. Even when Mew isn’t in earshot, Top says he wants something serious. We also have this interaction, where Top seems surprised and interested at the idea that something more than a one-night stand is even a possibility.

Second of all, what’s the current status of his and Mew’s relationship? Are they really boyfriends right now? Because last I remember in ep 2, they decided to reset their relationship to flirting. Top does refer to himself as Mew’s bf when he and Ray are having their hissy fit, but their relationship still comes across as really vague to me. Mew seems to have fun on their dates, but he hasn’t even said that he likes Top!

I don’t agree with Top believing Boston rather than talking things over with Mew—but is Top really in a position of mutual trust with Mew right now? Has their relationship been clarified? Someone please tell me if they’re even actually boyfriends!

Digging a little more into what is driving Top in the Boston car scene—I think he is likely feeling rejected by Mew. Rather than him having a double-standard of jealousy that Mew slept with someone in the past (whether or not that actually happened, we don’t know yet—but Top is acting based on the assumption that it did), I think he is reacting to the fact that Mew told Top that he has never done it before and gave that as a reason for taking things slow. And then Top finds out that Mew supposedly lied about that. THEN Boston tells Top that Mew is just playing games with him, seeing how long he will stick around—which he is pulling from Mew’s own words.

In this moment, it’s reasonable for Top to feel like he has been lied to and to feel like, if Mew has actually done it with someone else before, then he was just making that up as a excuse to not sleep with Top.

(Personally I think Mew is probably a little grey-a, since he says he wants to get to know someone first before sleeping with them—this might be a sign he needs an existing emotional attachment to get it up. But I doubt Top has spent much time around people who don’t connect to others through sex, so this is probably outside his understanding of how people work. The two of them speak very different physical languages.)

So, I don’t think Top is acting out of hypocrisy or bitterness that he couldn’t be the one to “take Mew’s virginity.” I think he’s acting out of a sense of hurt and rejection. Remember, this is the one time he’s tried to take a relationship seriously, and then he gets told that it was just a game to the other person.

Do I agree with his actions? No. He’s making a really big mistake. Do I think he has a very flawed view of the situation? Sure. But from his perspective, the situation is that someone has lied to him about why they don’t want to sleep with him, refused to commit to a relationship, and still has feelings for someone they were previously involved with.

It’s easy as the audience to say, of course Mew doesn’t have feelings for Ray—this conversation was obviously about Ray’s feelings for Sand. But Top only hears this much, and as far as Top can tell, Mew is flirting with Ray here more than he’s ever flirted with Top.

From that perspective, it’s not an unreasonable jump to sleep with someone who’s literally throwing themselves at you while you are feeling physically and emotionally rejected.

Again, I’m not defending Top’s actions, but I think it’s important to understand where a person is coming from. Too often we assume that other people will know what we know, that a character will know everything the audience knows, and that their decisions are based on the knowledge that we possess. This habit of approaching ppl with judgement rather than understanding is what leads to toxic cancel culture.

Top doesn’t need to be a “bad person doing something awful” or a “good person making a bad decision.” He can just be “a person making a mistake.”

genuinely not trying to dunk on molly but when ppl say will and molly were so compatible they loved dogs i just think of molly feeding them canned food from china and not even knowing it could harm the dogs, i feel like this is significant because this was what led to dolarhyde being undetected and her attack which led to her estrangement from will, even her common values w will she did not actually share at all there's a meta here

ngl this is pretty clearly dunking on molly. But let’s refute. I personally haven’t seen many metas/posts about the compatibility between will and molly, so I can’t really contest what they say. However, will and her were as compatible as will led her to believe, as much as he would let. He lied to her about his past, which made it so she couldn’t know all of him and couldn’t connect to parts she couldn’t see. Not a fault of molly’s at all

Having looked back on the script for that episode, no credible veterinarian would ever say “was it canned food from china”. It’s unprofessional and xenophobic. Also, a vet in an emergency situation isn’t going to use scare tactics. They just need to know what went in so they can take care of it. Yes, molly was feeding the dogs canned food because will was out of town so he couldn’t make them food. and I can guarantee will is rational enough to say “hey, these brands are okay” and molly isn’t stupid. And they are very well off, so they would need to buy “cheap dog food from china”. If we want to talk about the dialogue in that scene, we have to admit to ourselves fuller is a misogynist who can’t write women, so ofc he made her say “is it bad to be made in china”. It also neglects how SOME but not ALL food has shown problems, but dog food made in the US has also had toxicity issues! And (I can’t remember if this was in show or just in script) the vet says “pet food safety isn't regulated the same way as human food” which is just false. There is high regulation in pet food, and pet food is made to be human grade and safe for human consumption (and has been for decades). Dogs are more likely to be poisoned by xylitol or chocolate from your candy or get pancreatitis from your table scraps than die from “dog food from china”.

But let’s humor for a second it was the cheap dog food molly bought. The concern and toxic component is melamine, which is added to food to fraudulently increase the protein content. it’s nontoxic (ish) by itself and only becomes a problem when combined with cyanuric acid that forms a crystal and leads to renal toxicosis and failure. Some gi biomes have bacteria that can convert melamine to cyanuric acid, but not all, making it more toxic for these patients. It also wasn’t solely a dog food thing, it happened in human children, too. All that aside, most melamine toxicosis cases are chronic, aka molly would have had to feed the dogs for a while, building up these crystals, and slowly killing the kidneys. This wouldn’t happen suddenly to all the dogs at once. Early signs of toxicosis are very detectable symptoms (vomiting, polyuria, polydipsia, lethargy) and these are signs molly would have noticed and done something about. ALSO if it was melamine the veterinarian was worried about, she wouldn’t use activated charcoal as her treatment (as she states in script, again, don’t remember if this was said in the show). Activated charcoal only works for something currently in the stomach, and that isn’t the pathophysiology for melamine. To treat melamine toxicity, you need iv fluids and supportive care. So what we can take from the veterinarian interaction is 1) fuller doesn’t know how medical professional talk to clients and 2) he doesn’t even understand the toxin he mentioned so it feels xenophobic as fuck to even bring that up.

And no, her canon (fuck you fuller) ignorance to the danger of canned dog food isn’t the cause of dolarhyde being undetected and attacking her. Even if she was feeding them dog food with melamine, Will literally figures out and says that dolarhyde poisons the dogs in the family to get rid of the “alarm system”, so he can attack and not have the family alerted. It didn’t matter what dog food molly fed them, dolarhyde intentionally poisoned them. Even if she fed them food will handmade, dolarhyde would have still poisoned them. And she was a good owner who brought all 7 (probably) puking dogs to the vet as soon as she could. molly had nothing to do with dolarhyde attacking her. dolarhyde had something to do with dolarhyde attacking her (and hannibal ofc). At least give her some credit for, you know, surviving

And no, her getting attacked was not the cause of will estranging himself from her. He never really loved her and used her as a fill in for a man he outright rejected. He was having an emotional affair with Hannibal and not giving a shit about molly. That was nothing molly could control.

And we really can’t thoroughly discuss her values because we barely see her onscreen. Her screentime is a plot motivator, we aren’t privy to who she is as a person. She loves her son, lost her first husband, and loves will. That’s kind of it. Oh, yeah, she also takes her son fishing without Fisherman Husband because he chose to estrange himself.

He was honestly quite intimidated by you the very first time you both met, not in a sort of threatening way but more baffled by the charismatic nature you had that made law feel like he wants to just lay bare all his insecurities and worries. Internally melts into your presence.

Absolutely catches him off guard bc him? Trafalgar D. Law?? The captain of the heart pirates, surgeon of death, one of the warlords?? Cold, calculating, stoic Law?? Willingly wanting to open-up to someone he knew for at least only a week? Absolutely not.

You, on the other hand, find him fascinating and amusing. Definitely didn't think such a notorious man from the worst generation would be a fun person to poke and tease on. His ears reddening in frustration or being flustered was something you couldn't get enough of, really.

That said, Law—who's trying to avoid you like the plague—cannot shake you off during his stop in an island you just happened to wander into during your own conquest to explore the world. Luckily for you, you had something he needed for the crew and earned a spot in (despite his reasoning of it all being just pirate business, you both know something's up more than that)

Fast forward a year and a half later, you fit perfectly in the crew. you sort of take over as a sort of parent/older sibling figure to the rest, with Jean Bart and you vibing together the best as you both have similar roles in the crew's dynamic.

After some more wooing and persistence breaching through law's defenses around his heart, he's quite literally putty in your hands whether he admits to it or not. He can't help it, and you don't mind as you're more than happy to be of service and tend to your lover.

Never in a million years Law would have imagined he'd have anyone discipline him again ever since his childhood with his parents, but here he was following a sleeping pattern you set for him. He would be mad as he wasn't a child but he couldn't really find it in himself to say no to you, especially when you mean well.

"Law?"

He peeks up from his papers, already sensing a chiding tone underneath the adoring greet. You eyed him through the crack of the office's door, eyebrow slightly raising as you sighed. Law already knew what you were here for, and would normally just set things aside and follow you back to his chambers (it's also yours at this point, but Law doesn't mind), but he was crunching in time for his plans in Punk Hazard and securing connections to informants for Dressrosa. No one in the crew knew, and thankfully you didn't pressure him into sharing.

"Just a moment, (Name). I'll be there after i finish this.."

"And when is that?" you ask, fully inviting yourself inside and closing the door behind. You approach his desk, eventually ending up beside Law to study his papers. "I would love to help if only I could understand your writing.." you teased, hands reaching for his nape, brushing over his hair and kneading circles on his tense muscles. Law practically melts, leaning into the touch and eyes droop close, exhaling some of the built up stress.

"Come to bed, love. It's almost 2am." you smile at him, and Law almost gives in.

"I really need to get this done.." Law pleads with his eyes, face now fully directed up towards you, and he looks adorable like this, hair tousled and gaze sleepy.

"You can finish it once we wake up, and from what I heard from Bepo, we have at least 15 hours before we reach the next island." That left no room for argument for Law, but he's restless and the only thing that can clam him was knowing he had rechecked everything for the nth time and is 100% everything in his plan and back-up plans was set in place.

"I know that.. I just need to browse through everything quickly." With a sigh, you relent as you run your hand through his hair that has Law's worries wandering off into sleepiness.

"I'll stay with you then. I had quite a longer nap than expected." (Name) gave him a soft smile, and before Law could protest, you pick him up from his chair bridal style like nothing.

"Oi, (Name)!?—" he squeaked, then you sat back down on his desk chair, a flustered captain on your lap unsure of what to do or say next as he continued to hang on your shoulders. ".. What are you doing?"

"You're barely 10 minutes away from passing out on your desk rereading your notes.. let me be at least your personal chair, hm?"

You plan on carrying him to bed, which was a normal occurance at this point, but it was something Law was still not used to. This was the first time you were more persistent on keeping him company, as you would usually leave him alone and just pick him up later.

With some reluctance, Law loosens his hold on you and reaches back for his papers. He leans the side of his body against your chest, face just perfectly by the crook of your neck as he tries to get back onto his work mode with your presence.

Needless to say, you were distracting, and that probably was your main agenda anyways—to have him leave it for later. Law was still determined to get it done before giving in, but it was a helpless struggle. Your arms wrapped securely around his waist, thumb caressing a prominent hip bone through his hoodie (you had a fixation on his hips, and you knew it was a weak point for him), the stable rising and falling of your chest effectively lulling Law into succumbing into slumber.

You know it was a mission accomplished when he goes completely slack against you and his papers slipping out of his fingers. You smile to yourself, resting your chin on his head, settiing aside his notes and pulling him closer.

You kiss the top of his head. "Sweet dreams, love."

Law is someone that craves security, and he grew up learning that he can only have that through control of the situation. He does it for the crew's sake, pushing them away from direct danger. He would rather take the full brunt of the pain on himself than any of his crew members go through it. Law views this as his duty and doesn't think it has to change. The crew sees it, they know the love and care Law has for them runs deep enough to sacrifice his life for their sake.

You see that too, and completely respect him on that regard. You haven't seen any other pirate crew so far with such a caring captain. However, what you can't stand is the self-destructive nature festering along with his desire to protect. Despite being a doctor, Law barely prioritizes his health and well-being, shouldering more burdens than necessary instead of being open about his intentions to the crew.

You knew that Law doesn't like direct confrontation, questioning him about his plans. It seems.. personal, and it takes a lot more trust to get to that level. You want him to trust you so you could help him in whatever possible way. The first thing you could do for him is establish a healthy sleeping pattern at the very least. You prioritize his health when he puts it at the least of his worries.

So you give him that security, that you have his back where he falls short of and trusts you enough to take care of him. Your soothing touches and warm embraces that almost dwarfs him (your hugs are a big contender against Bepo's) was the ultimate solace he hasn't felt since Cora-san.

With you, Law could believe at least in these moments, he's safe from the world's cruelty.

how to improve drawing kinda fast:

ditch lineart for a bit (this way its easier to part with things that aren’t working)

use a REALLY thin brush

copy, copy, copy art you think is ✨art goals✨

don’t post that stuff tho :O

if you need to trace at first, thats fine lol but break away from that eventually!! you gotta train your eyes to draw what you see, spatial awareness is very important

copy hands, poses, expressions, anything you wanna get better at

don’t copy from refs that are way too simple to be used as a “master study”, like from the calarts shows etc.

copy from stuff thats kinda complex bc if you learn how to draw it in that complex way, you can always simplify it if you want ^^

im pretty sure this is how many of us have become obsessed with hip dips details LOL

if something looks off, flip ur canvas, mess with ur sketch, or even delete (or hide) parts of the sketch and try again. if you drew it once, u can draw it again. (erase or hold up the page to the light backwards if drawing on paper)

being cool with parting with your sketch if its not working will make you a better artist

youre allowed to frankenstein refs together lol (a hand from here, a mouth from there...)

if youre having trouble making your sketches look like theres actual shapes, try shading :D

literally the only reason i shade now is to show the shapes of objects in more of a painterly way (its not just for paintings btw, its just easier to describe it that way)

try new things that youre excited about like perspective, anatomy, blah blah

copy!!!! while youre copying it’s gonna be cool to see how much you remember when you try it on your own

scribble a doodle as often as you can, not like urgently, but like as something to look forward to (like how lots of ppl look forward to wordle everyday lol)

this list can apply to anyone but its fine if you wanna take some advice and leave some if it doesn’t work out. this list is mostly just to get you comfortable with sketching and learning, not performing.

I mention that “not performing” thing bc its easy to want to please social media platforms because that attention and validation can feel amazing!

but its also addicting because many of us crave being in a community and talking to ppl who like the same things we do

there are many communities out there from artist youtubers, artist streamers, etc. and many of them have discords and stuff and it might be fun to join! and/or join fandom ones if u want ^^

that way you have something thats not bound by if ig decides to not show your post to your followers or something

there’s also lots of other platforms that aren’t social media based specifically for artist communities too!

with this said, please be safe! never give out private info and you’re always free to block/report ppl who make u uncomfortable or ask weird things.

on the topic of being in communities... reblog art you like! comment the nice things youre thinking in the tags or in an actual comment! share art you like on your ig story!

So the thing about dair for me is that they literally can't stop arguing and never see eye to eye on anything at all. And I know Tumblr loves those couples who bicker nonstop, but those kind of ships annoy the hell out of me while showing that the two people involved are just not compatible. Chuck and Blair, for all their many flaws, don't actually bicker nonstop---they connect, they communicate, they understand each other. Dair barely even LIKES each other!

hi!! sorry it took me so long to answer this but after seeing a v hateful ask in my inbox answering this feels much needed so ty 🫶🏻🫶🏻 exactly!! at the risk of angering ppl further (again if u don't like chair pls leave my blog idk what else to tell u) for all their supposed similar interests they only seem to argue about them which shows they might have broadly similar interests but when u get into the specifics they're the complete opposite, which is a reason why they don't work romantically as it's not sustainable. chuck and blair however genuinely have things in common, and like u said they don't really bicker when they date (or when they're apart either, showing their true connection) and instead just enjoy each others' company. they know the other is on the same page so they can just be themselves and not worry about judgement or an argument breaking out, and in turn that makes them stronger and actually healthier. ur so right by saying dair barely like each other, bc dan likes the version of blair he's invented and when u look at how blair interacts and engages with him it's not loving or even vaguely romantic at all. they argue bc that's really all they can do, but it's not banter or playful bickering it's 2 characters who aren't suited for each other trying to be something they're not meant to be

The world is wrong about Tails. This voice is absolutely adorable.

Sonic does a fun lil quill flip. I like that.

Knuckles is so so angry at everything. We must never forget he hates almost everything.

Knuckles has a punching animation. Nobody elses idles are as enthusiastically aggressive, even Omegas.

Tails stroked the ground as an idle animation. Is this a thing or a trope? Does it mean something?

Honestly I had seen all of these mostly a bunch bc I rewatched a team sonic playthrough recently so had more to say on the others.

Team Dark

Rouge: "I haven't seen the president lately.". Have I forgotten the context for this, or is this just a real useless flex? You're telling the two ppl who care and know the least about social connections. You can't flaunt your sometimes- close relationship with the president. They don't know what a country is.

Omega's step from foot to foot where his arms wave is absolutely adorable.

Shadow in Grand Metropolis: "Why am I attracted to this place?". I get it's all egg tech etc., but he hadn't been there before had he?

Omega calls Casino Park a waste of energy. We love an environmentalist king.

Rouge: "I wonder what caused Shadow to lose his memory?". Was it not the falling from the sky? He should be mush, and you're confused as to how his brain got addled? Wild of you Rouge. Very out of pocket. See how you do dropped on your head from Ark.

Omega: "Shadow was unleashed just as I was. Who is he?" I had forgotten Omega had any interest in shadows story at this point, all I remembered was him wanting to kill eggman.

Omega: "Shadow, that android must be an alien. Unable to analyse." I suppose it is, if it's made from Shadow! Another Omegobservation I had forgotten he knew how to make. My clever lil man.

Rouge: "I wonder if Shadow is alright?" Awww

Shadow asks a lot of questions. He is a queer and questioning hog whenever you stand still and let him

While Omega complains about the humidity levels, Rouge gives us: "This pond is spooky!". Is it?? You wuss. Love you

Shadow: "Sonic. Why does that name BOTHER me so much?" Love this delivery. Actually adore this voice direction for Shadow and others in this game. he sounds kinda soft in these quiet lines. I miss it.

Once again, Rouge thinks the house feels "spooky". This one is more warranted. She's still kinda a wuss for being scared of frogs though. I believe Tails had a line about disliking the frogs. Will see if Cream and Charmy agree.

Team Rose

Favourite Amy voice direction. She's so darling.

I do love Amy's searching around. She's doing such a good job! Or, at least as good a job as Team Sonic (seasoned pro adventurer), Team Dark (With government intel and two weapons) and Team Chaotix (professional detectives). And Big and Cream aren't doing loads of the thinking. Point is, she rocks!

Big: "Could froggy be from here?" a question nobody ever wondered, nor would ever be answered. Now I have to know. Froggy origin story when?

Cream also thinks the pond is spooky! I mean, she gets away with it. She isn't a secret agent, she's just a baby. Theory that Flight type characters are the only ones that get to be scared continues.

Cream: "Something surely isn't quite right here!" SHE IS SO ELOQUENT! She's just a baby but she's gonna be so smart!

Amy agrees with Rouge, it's a spooky house. Loving the use of spooky in this game. It's such a good word. Doesn't inherently say they're scared, just acknowledging its odd, also got a dash of whimsy. Spooky should be freed from halloween jail and used more in daily life.

Team Rose - especially Amy - say I wonder a lot. Actually, I think everyone sorta does. I guess because theyre thinking aloud, but they could have come up with more sentences.

All of Team Rose relying on vibes and intuition. Their vibes and intuition are, as discussed above, very accurate.

Team Chaotix

Vector's singing to himself and dancing is actually so precious. He's so funky

Espio gives us a bunch of spiritual ninja quotes, then "Where's chao?". Is that how you correctly refer to Chao, or is he just tired now. "Oi. where chao. Cmere."

Is Vector from like Boston or smthn? never noticed. I don't know my US accents. The line about the electric bill has a twang.

Vector: "If the turtles are made of real gold, I'll have no problems finding 'em. Haha!" Is he suggesting he has an instinct for treasure? a lot of witchy bitches in the sonic world, and he does breathe fire, so maybe

Vector actually complains about being in the Casino. I am going to politely ignore that bc I still think Gambling Chaotix is a better theory. Maybe he just doesn't like it this time, but he sounds pretty resigned.

When Charmy says 'we will crush you!' in the happiest little voice I wonder if maybe I do want kids. Only if they also want to go on adventures with me and can fly.

Charmy's little arms and leg dance thing is also absolutely precious

Espio speaks in the most serious tone, but says nothing helpful and provides no information. Personally love that for him. It's like someone asked him for comment but he just has one fly in his brain and is concentrating on catching it with his tongue. All style no substance. Love you Espio

Espio looks like he has been buffed and waxed. So shiny when he moves his head. Everyones shiny but he is super shiny.

Charmy is also not afraid of the haunted house! This is a subtle nod to the fact that he's the best boi.

Espio: "Kinda reminds me of a ninja hideout, full of traps." THIS SOUNDS LIKE A GUY WHOS LYING! Definitely adding this to 'Espio is a fraud' bank. Also, 'kinda'? I Kinda forgot he uses contractions. Never use them in dialogue for him. Interesting.

I like that Charmy repeats words often, it's a nice verbal habit to use, very cutesy and childish, unlike other child characters.

Vector: "Eggman must be really rich! I wonder if he'd hire us..." - I always thought Vector knew all along who hired them! I am wrong evidently, or this is some weirdly delivered sarcasm. Maybe he's hiding things from the others? But when Rouge did that over searching for treasure ('I mean- Eggman!') they made it pretty clear. I think most likely he didn't know.

Espio: "For the sake of all ninjas, it's my duty to rescue our client." Okay first of all: its your duty because you're being paid. Secondly, you don't know shit about ninjas. Is it a pride thing? Espio you daft boy. Absolutely clowning. Silly little man.

Vector: "Why did Eggman kidnap our client?" So he really didn't know? He had me convinced he was smarter than he was. A good hustle.

OKAY!!! so i had to gather visuals for this one bc i have many feelings about this!! I went for scenes that no matter how many times i watch, they never lose their magic for me, no matter that i know theyre coming, it still takes my breath away and makes me roll around with delight, these most of these i feel like are probably pretty obvious ones, they were meant to be impactful but ough, if they dont tear me up in the best way

I mean, what can i say??? what IS there to say?? theyve been teammates for a few weeks at this point, but hinata has given all his trust to kageyama and in turn, kageyama promised to use it to its full potential. its also a promise for their rivalry!! like, okay okay okay think about it, with the context we have with Kazuyo, kageyama has *already* decided that hinata is going to be his someone better! he sees it innately and he wants to draw it out of him, and he's, hes trying to be *hinatas* someone better too!! do u understand *shakes you* do u see what i mean!!! i mean, im sure u do, im definitely not the first person to go insane about this and ppl have probably also said it in a way thats smarter than me but just, ough

its,,,, its,,, the acceptance of it all,,, i just think about how *alone* kageyama must have felt after his grandfather passed, we see and know that hes not good at connecting with people. hes bad at communicating and hes sensitive and he's scared of getting complacent. like, the all youth camp arc and atsumu calling him a goody-two-shoes is kageyama struggling with how he is changing, how hes trying to incorporate the influences he's gotten from his betters, and he cherishes it, but he's also felt like the advice he'd been given didn't also mesh with certain parts of himself. or, thats how i read into it, anyway. he tries so *hard* to be what ppl need him to be, and he's *so scared* of being rejected again. and this is hinata (and the rest of karasuno) telling him "HEY! we like you! we think you're smart and you dont have to shoulder connection all on your own! let us help you connect with us in a way where you feel comfy too :)" and then they talk about how they want communication! and it works!! and i just *rips into a pillow with my teeth*

HINATA'S PERFECT RECEIVE!!!!! so the inarizaki match is probably my favorite?? there are so many good moments but *this?* you wanna see me go insane? do you want smth thatll make me tear up? every time!! its just!!! a beautiful culmination of all of hinatas hard work that he's put into during the year! its his change of mindset! its his growth!! he's fallen a level deeper in love with volleyball and ive fallen a level deeper in love with his character

halo around the moon <3 Tsukki's block, his hard work, his character arc and development and everything is just *chefs kiss*. i remember the first time i watched the show, i,, *hated* tsukishima, and i think we definitely arent supposed to like him at first, but GOD does that turn around!! and this moment just feels so *earned* and *epic* and in the end HE STILL ISNT SATISFIED!!!!! he STILL wanted more!!! this point was worth 100 god fucking damn!!

im talking about the inarizaki match again!! but this time with a focus on Tanaka, who kind of struggled with this match! he was in a low place during it, felt stagnated and lame. Tanaka, as a character, i would say is best characterized by his mental fortitude and stability, funny enough. He's wild, but i think part of his visual design lends that as his base (since he's often compared to buddhas/monks). But in this match, we get more depth, we see him falter and struggle! it takes more than just a slap to his cheeks to get better (tho tsukishima does point out that he gets out of his depression pretty fast) but like, tanaka uses meaningful cognition to break his rut, and its also just like, advice that I've seen used for stuff like any kind of creative block as well. The visual during the animation, he's climbing up the stairs, he's slowing down, he's coming face to face with a canyon, a plateau. He sees two options, give in, or push forward and he picks "the cooler" one, and struggles forward, forces himself ahead! and kageyama backs him up too, by not letting him back down, assuring him that his usefulness hasnt reached its end and AUGH I LOVE A TEAM YALL
