Finally photographed and listed all the needle booksies!
Available now on my etsy
I really love all the Merchant & Mills sewing accessories, they really fit the vibes here. But also I think it's a cute way to get into sewing/ embroidery/ handiwork. Idk. Just thoughts

This is one of my favourite and most used little things that I’ve made, it’s a needle book that I made as my first time trying out blackwork, which if you’re not new to my account you’ll know is something I’ve fallen very much in love with. So not only does it serve a function, but it’s also a way of keeping my first attempt at blackwork around.

I am going to hold a workshop at the local library. Everyday sewing. I thought I would start with a pincushion, a needle book and some zipper bags. These are the examples I made. Fabric from Stoff og stil, zippers from my stash and small charms that I got in a swap. The workshop will be held every monday for the next two months.

Shuu was beyond excited to get invited to another event. And a Secret Santa? Such a fun event idea! Shuu was surprised to see that he was assigned to give Alice Shiroka from the Nakono division a gift, but he was never the type to back down from a challenge. So, after a very thorough research session, Shuu settled on gifting…

A handmade needlebook! Inside were some ordinary sewing materials like a spool of thread, a fancy rose gold embroidery scissor, and some needles that also appeared custom-made with little animals and sweets made of clay glued at the ends. Attached to the package, a cute envelope covered in equally cutesy stickers was included. Inside, the letter covered in even more stickers read:
‘Merry Christmas! If you celebrate it that is, but if not then, happy holiday!! ꜂₍⁽ˆ⁰ˆ⁾₎꜄
We don’t know each other well, but I did my best to learn about you so that I could give you a nice present. So I got my little sisters to help me learn to make this little needlebook! It’s a convenient way to hold onto your sewing stuff on the go! =͟͟͞͞(๑•̀ㅁ•́ฅ✧
I made sure to make it look extra cute and pretty. Plus, my little sister Ichigo thought it would be cute if I made some little guide needle animals. I wanted to add some extra though and made a tiny little cupcake. Sculpting is super duper hard! ε-(ーдー)
Anyways, I hope you like it! And I hope you had as much fun as I did coming up with gift ideas! Now… Bye bye!! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡’
my first secret santa ask of the day! yippee!
Alice let out a small chuckle whilst holding the needle book in her hands.
“ Oh, these needles are adorable! I can tell this person truly put a lot of effort into this needle book. Although, sewing isn’t really a part of my design process…Well, there’s a first time for everything I suppose. I hope I’ll be able to use this whilst designing..”
Alice then opened the sticker covered letter.
“ well, this person sure does like stickers! I wish I knew who they were, so I could thank them properly. Perhaps, the day will come when our divisions eventually cross paths, then, I’ll be able to give them a proper thank you..”
thank you for the gift! 🎄

ADHD is wild sometimes. I've been struggling to complete a little needle booklet for MONTHS.
I've been putting off the final step, which was sewing the "pages" into the booklet, because I'm using tartan wool and it's slippery and I knew I haven't had the patience or mental spoons to attempt it.
Today, not only did I have enough mental spoons, but those spoons also allowed me to consider that maybe hand sewing this final bit would work best. So I did! I hand sewed the final bit and now it's officially done!!
I finished it, I set it aside, and...
And now I can't find my completed needlebook. I haven't even gotten up from my seat. And yet, it has disappeared.
I'm not super worried about it because I know it's gotta be around here somewhere. But it is still a little frustrating to have no memory of doing whatever I did with it. Not even a clue. I'm torn between laughter and... I don't even know what. It's funny, but dang if I wish it didn't happen with such frequency.

Tiny fabric books to store your stitching needles. There’s a few of these left in the Fireside shop. Each book’s front cover features a hand printed gold stork scissor set on black fabric with a matching repeat pattern version of the motif design on several different solid colors for the back. There’s a small metal button and cord to close and secure the book.
[ID: Four photos showing off small fabric books with felt pages that store needles. First photo shows the cover of a closed book and the second has a book open to show the pages and needles pierced through the felt. The third photo shows a row of several books together - like how you would see on a bookcase - with another open book in the foreground. The last image shows the backs of all those, showing the various colors including red, orange-yellow, black, purple, blue, and green. End]

Time for Tea stitched by Beverly Monthie Jacobson. Pattern designed by Emma Congdon, featured in issue #310/September 2021 of The World of Cross Stitching magazine.
“Finished Herbal Tea from WOXS. Loved every stitch, even made a needlebook with my favorite teapot. Changed one tea named Rooibos to Oolong, as it wasn’t a tea I was familiar with. Such a cheerful stitch through the winter months!”
