here's some more of the fwb fic :)

Eddie realizes what he’s getting at, and he rolls his eyes in exasperation. “Buck, I’m not kicking you out after we’ve just had sex,” he says firmly. “Get in here.” Buck’s face lights up at that, and he smiles, shy and pleased. They undress in silence and get beneath the covers, lying down on their sides, watching each other expectantly. Eddie breaks the silence. “We’re—we’re good, right?” he asks, hesitantly. Buck swallows, and nods. “Yeah. Of course, Eddie.” Eddie breathes a sigh of relief. “Okay. Okay. Good. Well, do you want to—” He reaches out a hand slowly and Buck stares at him blankly for a minute before he gets it and laughs. “Yeah, we can cuddle,” he says, amused, and scoots over, throwing a leg over Eddie’s hip, contentedly resting his head on Eddie’s chest. He’s like a giant, cuddly octopus, Eddie realizes, but in the best way. He grins a little foolishly to himself, and begins to run his fingers through Buck’s hair. We can do this. Eddie thinks drowsily to himself as he begins to drift off. No strings attached. There’s no way this can go wrong.

hi hi i'm back with a new fic!! this is from the new wip that i simply have labeled 'angsty pining fic' in my docs...the fic in which eddie figures out his feelings and confesses to buck, who doesn't immediately reciprocate because he doesn't know yet that he's in love with eddie.

Knowledge is power. Now that he knows, he can correctly identify the feeling in his chest akin to the breath slowly being punched out of his lungs. He can pinpoint why every dazzling smile Buck sends her way feels like a crushing blow to his chest. He no longer has the blissful luxury of not knowing why he bites down on his tongue hard enough to draw blood when Buck tilts his head back into Natalia’s chest, blinking up at her lazily and smiling while she cards her fingers through his curls.   It’s such a sweet, simple gesture, the kind that no one would think twice about doing, and yet Eddie wants to cry, overwhelmed with the sheer affection of it all. The lump in his throat is painful, and it takes all of his strength to swallow his own heartbreak down and keep it there.
