{My self-insert Naruto OC: Seiki Hyuuga}

Real life and work is hitting hard at the moment which means I have less time to draw gnnngh 🤧 Luckily, there are a few pieces I still have in my pipeline and this is an old one.

Naruto is love, Naruto is life. So it's no surprise that I have a Naruto OC right? And this time even a self-insert *cringe intensifies*.

A bit of info for my girl Seiki: Such as Neiji, Seiki is part of the side-amily of the Hyuga Clan and of lesser "worth" in the eyes of the clan. Yet this circumstance led her to pull forward, showing her worth through hard training and an excellent Byakugan. She became a Jonin at quite a young age (around 15) and joined the Anbu, where she ended up in a team with Kakashi Hatake and Tenzo at one point. The three became friends and Seiki was happy to see Kakashi finding something to fight for, after he became a Genin mentor. She herself stayed in the Anbu as a special force before she was assigned to be the new Team 8 Captian after Kurenai became pregnant.

Orochimarus kid being allowed into Konoha without any proper supervision would anger Tsunade I feel since she has zero context about Mitsuki, who he is, why he came to Konoha(Orochimaru being No.1 Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss Parent), and the like especially as a former Hokqge would get her angry I feel. Especially as Kakashi the other former Hokage was kept in the know and did his own work with the students in disguise.

I don’t see it as a retcon so much as Naruto not trusting her gives her plenty of reason to be angry, especially as he only reveals this after Mitsuki left the village for reasons they don’t know but which can affirm Tsunades worse case scenario. Naruto refused to even trust Konohamari with the same info even though Konohamaru had never suggested he’s a sin of the fathers type person.

Naruto’s failures are even seen in how he didn’t keep his promise with Nagato and Konan about the Rain Village, so the place has become a lawless hellscape that Kara has been using as minor bases of operation.

I'd say it's a retcon in the sense Tsunade is angry at Mitsuki, and not at Naruto for keeping her in the dark.

To Tsunade, Mitsuki is only a kid - Oro's kid, but still a kid. Would Tsunade out of everyone, blame a kid for his parent's actions?

In a sense yes, if everyone but her knew, I'd see how pissed she would be, but imo, not at Mitsuki at all. Maybe at Naruto and Kakashi, for not trusting her and thinking she could really harm/hate a kid for stupid reasons. Ditto for Konohamaru - like those people, and the entire village, was able to accept Sarada without hating her for being Sasuke's child - but for Mitsuki it would be "too complicated"?

Nah.

But I agree in a sense with this entire "issue" if it was indeed supposed to be portrayed as Naruto being a shit kage who doesn't hold his promises - even if he still changed the Hyuga clan like he promised Neiji he would, now they are virtually useless, and the heir of the main branch was transformed in a "dinner is ready!" prop!

been in a Naruto mood lately trying to make a AU where Naruto is a Uchiha and Sasuke is a Uzumaki

how do you think that would go?

Sasuke being given the ninetails and Naruto having to go through his whole family and clan being murdered by his brother?

of course i want Shikamaru/Naruto involved and i feel like they would have this relationship where Shikamaru like i want to love you but you make it hard cause you make morally wrong life choices that is to say if this shaped Naruto in such a way to be the case

Sakura being swapped with Tenten and Tenten being a haruno so she gets to train with Tsunade like she wanted to

I want Sakura with scrolls

How do you think this would go? not swaping everyone just those three or 4 i guess. OH OH we could put Hinata in Neji's place and Neiji in Hinata's place too while we're at it. trying not to make anymore changes cause i wanna keep the story almost the same

Im just kinda asking if you think Naruto would try to get revenge because Itachi told him to we also could go the route of saying lets swap Minato and Itachi so Naruto's dad is his brother and Itachi is Sasuke's father but that's kinda weird to me but also kinda interesting? we can put that on the back burners but if you have something to say about it let me know what you think of these concepts when you can

WOAH OKAY lets get into it

This involves some morals and ethics discourse so bear with me here

I do think this is hard to predict, but, I would like to believe that although the context and your surroundings make a person, it's not all that there is. I think everyone has a core and Naruto, for example, is good and kind at his core (imo). So even if he went through all the traumatic events and had all the money the Uchihas/Sasuke had, I think he would still turn out to be somewhat good. I don't think he would seek revenge, but he would seek Itachi for an explanation, his goal would not be to kill him, but to understand him. This could lead to a different future, where if Itachi was met with compassion/understanding he would not just view himself as a potential sacrifice. But we can only speculate that since Itachi in and of itself is already a very complex character.

As for Sasuke, I can't exactly pinpoint his core in a word, but I do think he just seems like he would hold onto suffering more. So if he had Kurama, and he suffered the pushback from Konoha, he would still want to prove himself (like Naruto did), but he would also want to seek retribution. I think he would be much more likely to realize that Hiruzen (3rd Hokage) was a piece of shit who did not keep his words to Minato and Kushina. He would also want to make changes in society (my boy is a revolutionary cmon). Assuming he and Naruto are still friends and he eventually finds out the conditions that led to the Uchiha massacre and Itachi to act that way, when he becomes Hokage he would abolish the Anbu and make sure that certain injustices doesn't occur anymore.

All this to say, i think they would keep what makes each of them unique, even if the circumstances are different, and this would lead to their reactions to be different too.

Don't even get me started with Hinata and Neji omg, i could go on for days talking about the fuck ass hyuga clan, the whole servitude thing makes me so mad. But as much as i would like to I just don't see Hinata being as angry and vocal about it like Neji, although, i can see Neji even being from the primary branch of the family still being mad. Talking about cores again, i just think it's in himself to hate this form of separation and injustice. But since he would one day be the heir of the clan he could have enough power to abolish it sooooo [I'm so sorry this is probably not what you were hoping to get but i get heated just thinking about this]

and about switching minato with itachi, yeahh idk how to feel about that cause that would be a little bit weird but i guess it could work too? it's just i don't see minato committing mass murder

Part 7 of 10 of my top 100 favorite characters

40 - Selina Kyle/Catwoman (DC Comics) I love this woman in the comics, I loved her in basically every adaptation I've seen 39 - Hyuuga Neji (Naruto) He deserved a better ending. A satisfatory conclusion to his arc. He grew being taught that It was his duty to serve and protect the main family, with his own life If needed. He had ALL those themes about freedom and destiny. Then he dies protecting the main family. Seriously, could It be worst? 38 - Jemilla (Firebringer) A intelligent leader. She cared about her tribe and was willing to give up one of her main tools to power (a religion she could control) right in her first day as a leader, in favor of the truth. 37 - Regina George (Mean Girls) An angry child hidden behind a manipulative strategist dictator hidden behind a pretty popular mean girl. 36 - Ja'far (Twisted) I love him, his character arc, his songs, his father and daughter relationship with the Princess. 35 - Cassandra Cain (DC Comics) An amazing character that is often overlooked/underrated. She Will always be part of the Batfamily to me, no matter How many times the writers decide to make her disappear for some reason. I love every interaction with Stephanie Brown. 34 - Toph (Avatar The Last Airbender) She was great. She was the first character with disability I can recall besides Monica's Gang. It's not personal to me or anything, I don't have any physical disability, but I really tought she was amazing, different from anything I've seen on tv until then. ATLA was very important to my childhood, even If my mother would always mock It (without really watching) 33 - Mary (Ib) A really Sad character. I always liked her better than Gary, but It would be unfair to let him die in order to be able to save Mary just because I didn't like him very much. It always made me sad that I coudn't save both. When Mary ask Ib what she would do if she had to choose between saving Mary and Gary and there's the option of saying she would sacrificar herself to save both, I truly believed I would have that option 32 - Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Marvel) His humor is not always my jam, but I can't resist the pure chaos that reings in every story focused on him 31 - Loki (MCU) He was the better written character in the first Thor movie. Unfortunally, his writting has been only getting worse since then, so much I didn't even watch the show and have no intention of watching. But I'm still a fan of the character from that movie.
