BROKEN SWITCH - K. KOZUME
♡︎ Includes: Kenma Kozume
♡︎ Sypnosis: You accidently break your boyfrinds nintendo switch right before he gets home from work.
♡︎ Warnings : Reader accidently hurts fingers while undoing screws, little bit of angst, FLUFF!!!
♡︎Kenma is a bit ooc in this!!
Reader and Kenma are aged up and living in their own apartment.
Crap.
You sat on the kitchen floor, panicking while water seeped out of Kenmas Nintendo switch.
Before this, you had been getting ready for a bath, unaware that your boyfriend's switch was in the pocket of his hoodie that you were wearing.
All you saw was his black very expensive switch laying at the bottom of the bathtub and you lost your train of thought.
You shook the device in hopes to rid of some water, knowing it won't be enough anyway.
Kenma was due to get home any second now and if you were being honest you were as scared as hell. Not only because you wouldn't know how he'd react -but because you knew how seriously he'd take his gaming career. You would feel guilty about him losing all his progress simply because you were being clumsy.
What if you've ruined some very Important information that can't be brought back?
You panicked more while undoing the screws on the switch. You dried it out whatever you could with a paper towel, but it was still no good. No matter how many times you pressed the on button, it just wouldn't switch on. You even put it in rice for a bit but there was no luck.
Not only were you freaking out but now your fingers had cuts all over them from nervously handling the screws and screwdriver.
"Maybe a hairdryer will do the trick-
the sound of keys fiddling with the front door ran your blood cold. You were frozen in place, your boyfriend's footsteps sounding in the house.
"I'm home" he spoke loudly, expecting you to appear from somewhere to give him your usual greeting. Instead he was met with silence, followed by some rustling in the kitchen.
"Love?" he called out with a raised brow, and before he started looking for you, you hid the console behind your back. Jumping up from your position on the floor.
"Hey Ken" you smiled suspiciously, not moving from your position.
He raised a brow skeptically, obviously aware that something was going on. "No hug today?"
"My hands are dirty from gardening" you lied , moving backwards as he inched closer.
You didn't want to turn around and walk normally or else he would see what you were trying to hide, but you couldn't look back to see where you were going either, or else he'd sneak up on you. You trusted the little luck you had and just hoped that you would not fall.
Luck was not on your side when you tripped on the carpet and started flastartedone hand in hopes of not falling on the floor. You must have looked silly to hide this thing, but you had to at least try to fix it before he could be disappointed. Your boyfriend caught you just in time to give you a soft landing on the fluffy carpet. He sat right in front of you, legs crossed while he stared at you with an amused expression.
"You're a bad liar" he stated while holding the hand that had not even a spec of dust on it.
He figured you out too quickly.
He was not annoyed with you in the slightest, he thought you looked very cute trying to hide something from him with your awful deception skills. The last time you showed this type of behavior was back in high school when you accidentally dropped his phone at Kuroos birthday party-
That's when it clicked "Did you break something?" he gazed into your eyes with a steady tone. When you avoided his eyes and started shuffling uncomfortably he realized he was right. He wasn't going to ask you what is it that you broke, he decided to just give you time while caressing small circles on your palm. If you were going to tell him about it he did not want to push you.
Or maybe he's wrong and you didn't break anything. Could you be trying to tell him bad news?
After a few minutes of silence and Kenma caressing you, the panging of your heart subsided and you glimpsed at his delicate face.
The delicate face that has shown you nothing but love for the past few months of your relationship. The delicate face that kisses you to sleep after playing video games with him.
The delicate face that is patient with you even when you're being difficult.
He might have not vocalized it but he looked like a very impatient puppy right now-making you you want to burst into giggles.
"Promise you won't get mad at me?" You tightened the hold on your intertwined hands, a small smile appearing on your face.
"I would never"
You extended the hand you hid behind your back, displaying the worn-out console "It fell out of your pocket when I was running a bath......"
Kenma gradually but dramatically clutched a hand over his heart, slowly slumping backward and sticking his tongue out to play dead.
Before you got to know Kenma-you would've sworn he'd just be a mean, introverted gamer but he was so much more than that. He makes jokes and expresses a lot more emotion and admiration than his looks portray.
He earned a giggle from you, and you were now relieved at the fact that he wasn't angry with you at all. You could also see him sigh in relief- possibly from the fact that he was expecting you to tell him something way worse.
"So you're not angry with me?"
He jerked upright from his position on the floor, swiftly tugging you flush against him. You were now sitting on his lap as he hugged you close, his face in the crook of your neck.
"I thought you were going to tell me something bad" he caressed your back "You had me scared for a sec"
From the silence and distance you were showing him earlier, he thought he wasn't going to get you to open up.
"So you aren't angry with me?" you snuggled up closer to him, enjoying his warmth.
"Not even a little bit"
You huffed another breath of relief, and he picked up the switch."This is nothing ok?"
You nodded.
"I dont want you stressing over things I can easily replace" he said. "I have a spare one which I bought a while ago in case this one broke"
Of course he has a spare.
"What about all the saved progress in your video games?" you asked attempting not to seem so anxious anymore but the shake in your voice failed you.
"I can just transfer it"
"Can I help?"
He chuckled at your eagerness. How was he supposed to say no to such a cute face? But he had to get you in peak condition first.
"Let's get your fingers bandaged up, and I'll warm up the bath again ok?"
"Ok " you answered and he planted a lengthy kiss on your forehead.
"Love you baby"
"I love you Ken"

it hadn't been long since you found yourself in another dimension — the haikyuu dimension. it felt like a dream to you, yet whatever you did you just wouldn't wake up.
was it really real? you thought to yourself, pacing around your fictional room not missing the sight of your uniform in front of you.
every haikyuu fan has a favourite character, just like you. you were indeed surprised at the sight of the uniform of your favourite school hanging neatly against the wall. sighing, you had no choice but to wear your uniform and head to school.
you realized your character was simply an average student in the school, so you need not to care about your popularity or loneliness. you were curious as it seemed to be your first day of school since it was the start of a new school year. since you're a first year, you didn't have to worry about friends.
yet your curiosity overwhelmed you and your legs automatically found their way towards the school's volleyball gym. before you could process your head, a familiar voice called out to you, “hello there.”
your head snapped up as your gaze met a pair of familiar eyes, one you had always admired his appearance on screen. it felt like a dream, realizing your favourite character actually talking to you — in front of you — in your favourite anime dimension. or was it really a dream...?
“hello?”
you flinched, shaking your head furiously before stuttering a reply, “h-hello! i'm sorry — u-uhm, is it okay if i apply as a team manager?”
again, you totally did not think twice before uttering that sentence.
he stared at you with curiosity, his gaze not breaking away from yours. after an unexpected staring competition, he smiled. “sure — i'll get the form immediately,” he replied. afterwards he lead you into the gym, showing you around on the way to fetch the application form introducing himself at the same time.
‘of course i know who you are,’ you thought to yourself. your eyes never left his figure, admiring his profile. for the nth time, you felt like it was a dream
he looked much more attractive up close.
☾ ⋆ * ・ ゚: ⋆ * ・ ゚: ✧ * ⋆. *: ・ ゚ ✧ .: ⋆ * ・ ゚: .⋆ ☾
what seemed like weeks passed by and you were still in the same dimension, not once waking up to reality. the topic of being in a dream that once worried you seemed to have been forgotten by you, as if you truly belonged in the dimension you found yourself into. slowly, your relationship with him developed further and you became a pair.
you once looked at him for being so good looking, a personality that you loved, born with talent and bonus point for being your favourite fictional character. now looking at the sleeping boyfriend in front of you with his head rested on his crossed arms, you brought out a hand as you reached out, gently grazing his cheek with the back of your index finger.
you loved everything about him.
“if i were from a different dimension, how would you react?” you asked in a whisper, careful not to stir him awake. you looked around your surroundings, the quiet library where your boyfriend would accompany you study once every week; the scenery through the tinted windows with the muffled sounds of pouring rain cutting the usual silence; and the man you wished had not been a fictional character sleeping with inaudible snores, including the visible bags under his eyes from practicing.
there were very few students today, as they quietly studied for the upcoming finals. months had passed since you found yourself in the dimension away from reality, you never once returned and you had nearly forgotten about it.
“i don't want to wake up from this — if only you weren't fictional, and if only we were meant to be together in the same world,” you whispered as a cracked sob escaped from your lips that couldn't help but quiver at the memories you had with him.
looking at how peaceful your boyfriend looked, you had to smile as a tear managed to escape. you softly called out to his name, the name you wished you could call forever, adding an “i love you” to finish the sentence.
at the end of the day, he couldn't get your words out of his head. he heard everything, and he wanted to talk to you about it.
he never wanted to lose you either.
☾ ⋆ * ・ ゚: ⋆ * ・ ゚: ✧ * ⋆. *: ・ ゚ ✧ .: ⋆ * ・ ゚: .⋆ ☾
tomorrow marked one year since you arrived in the fictional dimension. you were currently in his room, relaxing on his bed as he did his homework. was it the right time to talk about it? you pondered. it was rare for you to be quiet in times like this, and he probably figured out what you were thinking.
“when did you arrive here?” he asked, snapping you out of your endless thoughts leaving you in confusion.
“what do you mean?” you replied, “didn't you invite me here this morning?”
he brought his eyes to gaze into yours. “i mean, this dimension — the one you said fictional.”
his words caught you by surprise, making you wonder when did he found out. “how did you—”
“i'm sorry,” he replied, “i overheard you mentioning it that day in the library..”
it was when you finally realized — tomorrow would mark one year since you found yourself in the haikyuu dimension. now thinking about it, anxiety slowly rised into your head.
what if tonight would mark the last night for you to spend your time here?
your shaky pupils met his worrying ones. “are you okay?” he asked worriedly, rising from his seat to approach your trembling figure. you couldn't help but watch as his arms wrapped themselves around you, pulling you closer to him in an embrace. the tears wanting to escape began pouring out, dripping from your cheeks as they fell between him and you.
‘i don't want to leave.’
‘please don't leave.’
you didn't know how long had it been since you stayed in the same position, holding each other close. with a shaky breath, you began explaining everything; how you found yourself in the dimension and the world you originally belonged — the reality you had to face.
“maybe this would be the last day for me to be here,” you whispered.
he stayed quiet the whole time, not knowing what to say after hearing your explanations. he tried to process your words one by one, wanting to believe such a miracle exist for him and you.
he held you tighter in his arms as he called out to your name, repeating them before finding his tears overflowing as they streamed down his cheeks.
“i promise you,” he began, “i promise you, that i'll find you in our next life. i may be a fictional character in your world, and you will disappear from my world one day, but that won't change a thing. i love you, i love you and i love you —”
he pulled away from you, allowing some space in between as he cupped your face. slowly and gently, he tilted your face up to face him. he could only stare into your glassy eyes, still glistening from the tears. “i promise that in our next life, i'll find you and you'll find me.”
you smiled. “i promise that in our next life, i'll find you and you'll find me.” you repeated his words as your pinkies intertwined into a pinky promise.
you spent your night in his arms, talking about the possible future you might have in your next life, and recalling the memories you shared with him in his world.
the next morning, you were gone in his arms — as if you never existed in first place.
☾ ⋆ * ・ ゚: ⋆ * ・ ゚: ✧ * ⋆. *: ・ ゚ ✧ .: ⋆ * ・ ゚: .⋆ ☾
as you tried to chase after your pet, it stopped right in front of a stranger as it clung onto him lovingly. “i-i'm sorry! i hope it doesn't cause you any trouble,” you panted, stopping next to it as you bowed deeply in front of the stranger who didn't utter a word.
“s-sir?” you called out, confused at his silence. you stood straight as you met the gaze of the familiar looking stranger who stared at you with wide eyes.
as if everything crashed upon you, you stared at him in surprise, your heart aching at the lingering familiarity upon your first meeting.
‘i found you.’
you had never met him before, yet why were you crying?
you both began to walk together as you exchanged greetings and numbers, your pet leading the way towards where it wanna be. what was important, though, was that you both recalled a certain memory from a previous life.
“i promise that in our next life, i'll find you and you'll find me.”

Warnings: cheating, speeding, some swearing also english isn’t my first language so I apologise for any mistakes

When the worst day gets worse but somehow you meet a sexy police officer
———————————————————————
The night wind was cold against your tear stained cheeks. Your dress wasn’t providing any warmth either.
This fucking dress
This fucking party
This fucking day
If you would’ve just stayed at home, like you always do, none of this would have happened. No that’s not true. It probably would’ve happened, you just wouldn’t have witnessed any of it.
“Babe wait!”
Your fucking boyfriend
Correction ex-boyfriend.
Ignoring his calls you kept walking to your car, that you had parked less than twenty minutes ago.
“Baby come on, talk to me!”
“Don’t fucking Baby me, asshole!” You wanted to slap his face so bad but you were better then that, besides he didn’t deserve your hands anywhere on his body.
“Come on it was an accident-“
“An accident?! Your tongue slipped in her mouth by accident?”
“She forced herself onto me, please I-“
“Oh but you seemed to really enjoy her ass on your lap. Your dick was practically ripping through your pants!”
“I think your exaggerating”
“Yeah your right, your dick’s way too small for that” You turned around, not bothering to look at that cheating bastard again.
You kept your posture until you slammed your car door shut, thats when the tears really started falling.
Why?
That question kept circling through your head while you started the engine and while you pushed the gas driving out of the parking lot.
You had been driving on a lonely highway for some time. The whole time only about 4 cars had passed you. You were alone with your thoughts.
Thats when the anger rose.
That fucker
That lying, cheating motherfucker
You had done everything for him these past two years. Two years of your life wasted on that jerk. You had forgiven him so many times. When he forgot your birthday, no problem he had a lot going on that day. When he showed up hours too late for your date, maybe he was stuck on traffic.
You were starting to speed up. Your foot was pushing the gas harder and harder.
You had been such a good girlfriend to him. Showing up to each of his trashy work parties. You kept your mouth shut with a smile when one of his coworkers made inappropriate comments about you. You didn’t want to cause a scene. Do it for him. For your beloved boyfriend.
Tonight was no different. Him and some of his coworkers had closed a big deal and went to celebrate it at some bar. Your boyfriend told you about it but unfortunately you had to work late.
So when you got off early you wanted to surprise him. You put on one of your more revealing dresses hoping for a longer night at home afterwards. You hopped in your car with a big smile wanting to see the surprised smile on his face the second he saw you.
The speed limit was hundred. You were at 130, still not slowing down.
He looked surprised, so did you when you saw him making out with some other woman. The second he saw you he pushed her off running towards you. You turned around and left, not looking at him once.
“Please Baby wait, it’s not what it looks like!”
Or
“Come on we can sort this out”
How dare he. How dare he betray you like that. You trusted him. Two years you had trusted him, told him about your struggles and problems and your deepest secrets. How fucking dare he.
You heard sirens behind you. Looking back you saw blue light and a police car. Thats when you looked at your speedometer.
Fuck
Fuck!
You pulled over immediately. You bumped your head against the steering wheel, keeping it there until you heard a knock on your window.
“Good night ma’m, do you know why we pulled you over today?”
That’s when you looked up. That’s also when you looked at the most handsome face you had ever seen. He had dark messy hair that leaked out under his police cap. His eyes where a piercing shade if brown. They looked golden to you. It’s only when you noticed the smirk forming on his lips, that you looked up. Jesus was his smile sexy.
“Ma’m are you okay?” His smirk still very evident.
“Yeah, I, sorry, yeah I’m listening” shit, you were behaving like a teenager.
“Good, so do you know why we pulled you over, or do I need to tell you?” He looked at you like he was challenging you. You didn’t know to what and you didn’t care. You could look at that face forever.
“Because I was driving too fast?” Unsure, that’s what you sounded like.
“Exactly, I’m sorry ma’m but I have to write you a ticket.”
“Do I have to pay a lot?” Yeah you did, you already knew that.
“Well considering that you are allowed to drive a hundred miles per hour and you were, let me check, at a hundred and forty five, I’d say yes.”
Great. Know you weren’t just single but probably broke too. The officer started to write. It was quiet again.
Until he broke the silence.
“Can I ask why a pretty girl like you is driving all alone at this time, wearing a pretty dress like that?” His eyes flicked from the paper he was writing on to you, giving you one if those sly smirks again. You felt your cheeks becoming hot.
“Well,” were you really going to tell this handsome stranger about your night? “I just caught my boyfriend cheating on me.” Yeah, you totally were.
“Dumbass”
“What?”
“Your boyfriend, sorry ex-boyfriend, is a dumbass for cheating on someone like you.” He looked at you with a somewhat apologetic smile.
“I’m Kuroo, by the way.”
“Nice to meet you, officer Kuroo. I’m Y/N” that smirk again. God was this man gorgeous and sexy and handsome and-
“Here you go miss Y/n.” The way he said your name made your stomach turn. In a good way. A very good way.
“Thanks, officer. Have a good night.”
“You too Y/n and drive safe, yeah? Wouldn’t want you to get hurt now, would we?” He left with one last smile. You closed your window, a wide smile adoring your face.
You looked down to your hands, at the sheet of paper he had given you. Next to the amount of money you had to pay, which was a fair sum, was a hand written note:
You deserve better, give me a call when you feel like it.
Kuroo
Next to his name was what you assumed to be his number.
This night didn’t turn out to be completely terrible after all.

Kuroo x male reader that's always dressed heavily .. but one day he wears something like those tight sleeveless turtlenecks and kuroo had to double take because he's like “is that rlly my boyfriend?”
i had fun writing this. it is short, so im sorry- i had fun, but it was hard coming up with ideas and trying to incorporate them.
tws: no warnings. just fluff.
Kuroo loved you very much. He adored your sense of humor and the times you shared together. He particularly enjoyed your comfy style- though sometimes he wondered if you were burning up with all of those layers you typically wore. The heat in Tokyo wasn't something to gloss over and he admired your determination to pair long sleeves with baggy pants.
He was so used to you wearing so many layers that when he invited you out on a date together after his Uni classes, he wasn't expecting you to be wearing something as revealing as you were... rather it was revealing for you.
You had decided that today would be the day to wear a black, sleeveless turtleneck and a tighter pair of ripped, black jeans. You looked good. You waltzed into the café, Kuroo's eyes glossing right over you until you sat down in front of him.
"Hey, dude. My boyfriend is gonna be sitting here." Kuroo lazily glances over at you, then back to the door, and finally settling back onto you with wide eyes.
"[N-Name]?! Oh my god, I didn't even recognize you!" Kuroo shoots out of his seat, the chair squeaking against the tiled floor. "Oh-Oh my god."
His eyes trail over your frame, drinking in every inch of skin he could.
"What is it Tetsu?" You blink innocently. "Can I not wear clothing that shows my skin?"
"N-No! That's not it! I just-" He sucks in a breath. "You look fuckin' amazing, baby. I wasn't expecting you to wear this."
You chuckle at this, eyes twinkling as your lovely boyfriend continues to stutter out why he hadn't recognized you and that yes, he does love you! he just-
"Tetsu, my love. It's okay."
The man in question huffs in response, a smile tugging at his lips as he places his hand over yours.

★ THE AFTER PARTY
⋆ CHAPTER 8 - HELPING HAND
the air outside is crisp today, and the sun is out but the breeze has a slight chill. you find yourself outside of a local cafe, busy with regular patrons in the early hours of the morning. everyone who comes in and out the doors has a purpose, one way or another. a person dressed in scrubs, probably on their way to work a double shift, and needing a shot of espresso to do just that. people dressed in bright orange vests, grouping up with their construction team to indulge in their usual cup of straight black coffee before heading to work. your exact reason for being here?
you had no clue yet.
when kuroo had texted you last night asking you to meet him for coffee, you truly didn’t have any clue what it could entail. was he upset? just trying to be friendly? possibly churring a plan to kidnap you? the options were endless, all questions left unanswered as you grew more wary every second that ticked by.
upon inspection as you enter the cafe doors, you’re able to see that unforgettable hair from its backside. kuroo sits at a small booth, large hands holding a drink as he taps fingers in rhythm against the wooden table. you walk up to him awkwardly, setting your bag down in the seat before scooching your way in. he notices you and fixes his demeanor, back straightening into a presentable posture.
“i almost thought you weren’t coming.” he says, mouth pulling up into a smile as you continue to situate yourself.
“that wouldn’t be very professional of me, would it?” you rhetorically ask, setting down your laptop as you look back at him. “so, um — what did you need to meet for?”
kuroo stares at you before he clears his throat, ready to give you an answer to the questions that have been non-stop taunting you all day.
“well first off, i wanted to apologize.” he starts, looking a tinge guilty for reasons unknown. “i hope you didn’t take what i said the wrong way yesterday, i just didn’t want you to overwork yourself. it wouldn’t of been, yknow, professional to allow that.”
you stare dumbfounded in your seat, undoubtedly surprised not only by the sudden apology, but also at the fact that this was part of the reason he had set up an entire date- work meeting with you. to apologize for something he didn’t even need to say sorry for.
“oh— it’s no worries. i actually wanted to thank you for sending me home. best sleep of my life, if im being honest.” you say, a small smile beginning to rise on your face at the sentiment of his words.
“there’s no reason to thank me, sweetheart, really. hey, you brought your laptop with you, right?” he asks, and you ignore the sudden petname to nod in response.
“great, well the second reason i wanted you here—“ kuroo pauses, arm reaching to the side of his seat that was unoccupied.
his hand rises again, and he suddenly plops a hefty stack of papers onto the table, thick and neatly organized.
“— was because i want to help you.”
you confusedly look to him and the papers, before asking the rather obvious question. “with what?”
kuroo starts to grin, letting out a small breath of air through his nose almost laugh like, “with your songs.”
if you thought you were dumbfounded earlier, now is really the time to be shocked. you feel almost taken aback, the lead singer of a band, who you work for, wants to help you with your tasks? that’s new.
“oh— i mean… you really don’t have to…” you say, still trying to grasp onto reality as his offer sinks in.
“but i want to. and i won’t take no for an answer. your workload is intense, and all i have to do is perform and sing. i could do both.” he argues, trying to convince you to agree.
never in a million years would you of thought a man of such great popularity and power over you would be offering to help you out of pure and genuine concern.
“please.”
that’s where your resolve crumbles, finding yourself ready to agree with the sweet tone he has in his voice that sounds divine. you can tell he means good, and there was no way you could deny help when you certainly could use it.
“ … okay.”
kuroos hands clasp together in a small clap, cheshire smile wide on his face.
“knew you wouldn’t resist. now, are you a tea or coffee kind of gal?”
now you really, really hope this agreement wouldn’t be a complete disaster.

WHOLE - k. tetsuro
summary: kuroo may be lacking and imperfect in some ways but you are there to make up for him.
pairings: kuroo tetsuro x fem! reader
a/n: this has been seating on my drafts for too long, and you can tell im loosing my brain juices at the ending. :')
kuroo tetsuro feels whole the day you entered his life. Every moment he gets he captures himself reminiscing the day how you two met. It was rather a sunny sunday and as always he spent his weekends on his grandmas house. last night he had cried himself to sleep; he had once again wondered what he did wrong for his mother to forsake him, he never truly got a proper answer no matter who he asked and he felt like he would never get one. so today, on a sunny sunday he decided to skip homework. it was unlikely of him, and he knew that all too well but something itched in him to go outside and play after that miserable evening, and there he found you. hair tied up in a pretty pony tail, dressed in floral pink dress as you drew random objects on the sidewalk. one particular thing that caught his eye is a black cat. “you forgot to drew it's whiskers.” he pointed out, he wasn't even aware that he had approach you. “oh,” and oh my god, if he knew that he had fallen inlove with those eyes of yours middle school kuroo wouldve laughed and won't believe a word. “it seems that i have, would you mind drawing it for me?” you offered him a white chalk. “im busy drawing it's food. by the way, his name is mr. cat” kuroo raised a brow at that. “mr. cat? how odd.” he could only smile at that thought as he proceeded to draw mr. cat's whiskers. so, on that day onwards kuroo tetsuro looked forward to every weekend. not only has he gained a new friend besides kenma and he had also gained a fellow friend thats actually interested in his volleyball activities. he learned that you had a crazy obsession with cartoons and like to fan girl over them, you adored taylor swift and you do seem to get along with kenma, occasionally playing video games with each other as you teamed up against kuroo and tell him that he sucks. of course he'd get pouty about it so you always promise to play volleyball with him and drag kenma along.
kuroo tetsuro feels whole when you two met again in college, unfortunately your parents had found a new job at a better neighbourhood and decided to move there. forcibly severing your contacts with your friends as you entered high school. he had saw you first in the library, hair tied once again in a high pony tail as you typed something on your laptop, your anti rad glass seating beautifully on the bridge of your nose. he remembers particularly in middle school he had told kenma how he felt about you, how his hands get clammy and a random wave of nervousness rush over him every time he gets to see you and how he feels like he's about to vomit his heart whenever you smile at him and tell him how proud you are of his volleyball accomplishments. kenma told him it was a crush and he immediately denied it. of course, middle schooler kuroo didn't care about any of that so he hadn't thought he'd grew feelings of you unconsciously. he recalls that feeling on a random sunny weekend once more when he was on his first year of high school after his friends asked (specifically yaku) if he ever had a crush. it was only then that the realization dawned on him, he liked you. he liked you and, ohmygod, kenma was right and everything's too late now and there was 1% he could actually meet you again. he remembers correctly that he felt hopeless and how dumb of him to never realized his own feelings for you. of course he mopped over that for a week, i mean sure, maybe you wouldn't reciprocate his feelings too but atleast he could've told you before you left. and he felt so stupid and dumb to deny what kenma told him 3 years ago. So, to meet you again in a random library was something he didn't expect. one thing led to another and he had approached you and thank god, you still remember him. a tiny part of him would've died in embarrassment if you did forget about him. he had guessed that if you didn't, he'd just re-introduce himself to you.
kuroo tetsuro feels whole when you drunkly confessed that you like him. of course, that wasn't his ideal way for confessing but if its you, he'd let it slide.
kuroo tetsuro feels whole when he finally get to feel your lips against his. it felt like home oh-so-warm and tasted like watermelon. he never knew that he'd obsessed over that fruit.
kuroo tetsuro feels whole when he gets home exhausted and youd always be there to engulf him in a hug, whispering “i miss you's and welcome, love.”
kuroo tetsuro feels whole when you said yes to him repeatedly on a sunny sunday under a wisteria trea. it was a three letter word but it meant the whole world to him. perhaps it wasn't sunday's that bring him luck but you. because when you had looked him in the eye when you two were seven and offered him a chalk, the day after his parents argued once more over custody, you had saved him. unconsciously.
kuroo tetsuro feels whole as he admires your sleeping face, legs tangled together under the blanket as your warmth engulf him. he can feel you starting to wake up but he can't help but stare at you longer. it was sunday again, and god knows how many times he had already hit snoozed on your alarm just to admire you further. kuroo tetsuro may not be perfect and lacking in some parts but, when he is with you he can feel as if he could conquer the whole world, because you keep him whole and he has zero plans of loosing you again.

KUROO as your EX who desperately wants you back.
It has been seven years.
You and Kuroo broke up seven years ago when the two of you were in your 18s. Your schedules weren’t matching, the two of you were immature, you were busy chasing your dreams of becoming an academic achiever, while he was busy training and attending matches to achieve his dream on being a professional volleyball player. It was tiring, that’s why breaking up was the solution of both of you.
Or how you thought it was.
Those seven years was a pain in the ass. Everytime you would experience something happy, you wished Kuroo was beside you. Your queen sized bed, feels a lot more bigger now he was gone. Your hand always seemed so heavy and cold without his touch. Each second he isn’t with you, it felt empty and painful. Even your friends wondered how you survived like this for seven years now.
Currently, you’re a CEO of one of the most famous marketing companies. For some reason, you haven’t noticed that you once gave your business card to a professional athlete, that happens to be Kuroo, that’s why you are now on a phone call with him.
“Y/N..” Kuroo continues through the phone, voice shaking, nervous and at the same time excited that he has finally reached you now. “I can’t force you to be with me.” A sad tone appears from the phone, echoing through your eardrums. “But I hope you know that I am willing to do anything I can to make this right.”
“You want me to beg for it?” He asks, sounding so desperate, that almost your co-workers have heard it too. “I’ll get down on my knees and beg for you. I’ll do it right now, if that’s what you want.”

Kuroo Tetsuro x Reader
Mood Song: boyfriend
Summary: After Kuroo ditched you on the courts in front of the entire team, the last thing you expected the next week was to find him halfway through your second floor window.
Warnings: Kuroo is a little shit, that's it
“Kuroo what the hell are you doing!”
What was once a peaceful moment in your bedroom of you rubbing lotion on your freshly shaved legs was quickly ruined when you heard your window being pulled up.
Your head whipped around to see a pile of messy black hair leaning inside your room, the boy ungracefully trying to enter your room that was on the second floor of your home.
“You should really keep your.. ah shit.. windows locked doll-” Kuroo spoke in between grunts before he fell to your floor with a thud causing you to wince as you quickly closed the door to your bedroom.
Sure enough what you dreaded happening, happened as you heard your parents call your name to ask if you were alright.
“I’m uh.. I’m okay mom! The lotion bottle slipped out of my hands!” You called out, letting out a sigh of relief at the somewhat decent lie you shit out of your mouth.
You simply heard your mom chuckle and warn you to be careful, that’s one problem off your plate. Now you had to deal with the next bigger problem that was sitting on your floor with a lopsided grin.
“Wow what a mess Y/n, you didn’t clean up for me?” Kuroo taunted while lifting up a small fragment of a dust bunny from your carpet.
All you could do was deadpan at him, his use of sarcasm to mock your perfectly neat room not helping the fact that he literally broke into your room.
“Stop avoiding the question you weirdo! Why the hell did you just climb through my window?” You loudly whispered, hands on your hips expectantly awaiting an answer.
Kuroo raised a brow to you, as if confused as to why you were so angry he broke into your house.
“Easy doll, to pick up where we left off.” Kuroo said with his signature grin, he was quick to pick himself off the floor and walk over to you with confidence.
But unlucky for him, you were quick to shut it down as you placed your hand on his chest stopping him in his tracks.
“Pick up where we left off?” You hissed out with narrowed eyes, “I hope you’re not insinuating when I confessed my feelings for you in front of the entire volleyball team before your tournament and you said ‘not now’ before walking away from me.”
You were amazed at how Kuroo’s expression changed. Had it really not dawned on him that his response was a dick move? Like a child his shoulders hunched down and he began to shuffle his feet.
“That uh.. that wasn’t what I meant Y/n-” Kuroo began but you cut him off by walking past him, your shoulder smacking against the side of his arm as you moved back to your vanity.
“Oh yeah? Then what did you mean?”
Kuroo simply stared at you as you placed your scrunchy in your mouth and began to run your fingers through your hair, how perfect you were.
And how stupid he was.
The entire tournament he was in the best mood of his life, his crush of a year now confessed as if to wish him good luck, what else could he want? All he could think about was how he couldn’t wait to come home to see you waiting for him, ready to hold you in his arms and start the beginning of your new relationship.
And yet when the bus arrived back at school after the long week of games, you were nowhere in sight. In fact you seemed to avoid him in school even. It never even occurred in his mind that you were angry with him.
“It’s just I’ve liked you for so long Y/n!” Kuroo started, his lip jutting out in annoyance when he saw you roll your eyes and huff, “If I had said anything to you then I just would’ve been distracted the entire tournament, I had to keep a level head for my team!”
Raising an eyebrow your mouth dropped in just pure confusion. He really was an idiot.
“So you embarrassed my ass in front of your entire team, just so you wouldn’t lose focus?” You growled, whipping your head back to face him while ignoring the hair that smacked your face, “You had me thinking you weren’t interested at all for an entire week, and you couldn’t even spare me a single text?”
All Kuroo could do was blink. He hated being wrong, but you were right.
But of course he would never admit that.
“Well I was hoping you would be waiting for me after the tournament so we could talk about it but you weren’t even there!” Kuroo shot back with narrowed eyes, the accusation causing you to chuckle dryly.
“So let me get this straight,” You said with a crazed grin as you folded your arms, “You expected me not to be hurt by your dry heartless response, not to be offended that you not once tried to explain yourself over text, and then even after all of that, you wanted me to wait for you at the school when you got back like you were some prince that returned from battle?!”
The boy’s face before you was blank, you were hoping the gears in his head were just spinning so he would answer this correctly. The man had a perfect GPA and was the captain of a freaking team, he couldn’t be this dense.
“Well.. yeah?”
Your eyes squinted as your eyebrows furrowed, the amount of stupidity coming from the boy had you at your limit.
“Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous.. I can’t believe I ever thought this would work.” You hissed while storming up to him pointing an accusing finger towards his chest, “I’ve never met someone as selfish and dense as you! Get out of my room you jerk.”
Kuroo watched your outbreak with annoyed eyes. Okay.. maybe he could’ve handled this better, but he honestly didn’t think you would get this mad.
In all honesty, you were pretty cute when your cheeks got all red and puffed out from being flustered, but the fact that he was the cause ruined it all.
“Come on Y/n, we both know you don’t mean that.”
You didn’t mean it, but like hell were you going to let this jerk just get what he wanted.
“Oh you better believe I meant every wor-”
“Y/n?”
The sound of your best friend’s voice caused your eyes to widen. You glanced up to see Kuroo’s golden eyes widen as well.
“Quick get in the closet!” You whispered as you grabbed his wrist and dragged him over to the door across from your room.
Kuroo stumbled after your quick pace before stopping at the entrance of your closet, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked down to you.
“I don’t wanna be shoved in your tiny closet, I'm like six feet tall!”
Narrowing your eyes you pressed your hands against your chest and shoved him in, “Too bad!”
You grit your teeth at the sound of him dramatically sighing when you slammed the door in his face, his next words causing your eye to twitch slowly.
“I’m gonna look through all your underwear doll.”
Clenching your fists you banged your hand against the door to shut him up, just as your friend opened the door to your room to see you suspiciously guarding your closet door.
“What’s with that weird stance Y/n?” Your friend said with a raised brow, her eyes glancing across the room before her eyes widened, “Do you have a boy in here?”
Your mouth opened wide, not sure what lie you could even come up with to trick your friend. Curse her for always being able to read you like a book.
Before you could even respond your friend chuckled and shook her head, “I’m sorry I just heard what I said, there’s no way you would have a boy in here after you spent your entire weekend depressed over Kuroo Tetsurō.”
The sound of the boy’s name being said caused Kuroo to perk up from your closet, pressing his ear close to the door to listen in.
Pinching your lips together you forced out a laugh, waving your palm as you tried to cross your arms as nonchalantly as possible.
“Pfft what? I wasn’t depressed?”
Your friend simply laughed at your strange behavior, bouncing on top of the edge of your bed as she pulled her phone out.
“Are you serious? You don’t remember how broken hearted you were this weekend? I have the voice audios to prove it if you don’t remember.”
Your eyes widened as you saw your friend scrolling through the messages of your group chat, quickly you lunged forward and snatched her phone away.
“No need for that I remember!” You said quickly before rolling your eyes, “I just wouldn’t say I was broken hearted, that’s a bit extreme.”
Your friend looked at you with a confused expression, you already knew what was about to come. Why couldn’t the lord just take you out of your misery?
“Um... you cried all weekend,” Your friend exclaimed as she stood up from your bed and started pacing around, “You were all like: he’s rude but he’s hot and he has such beautiful hair and I’ll never find another guy like him!”
Your lips formed into an annoyed pout, as you were sure Kuroo was soaking all of this up like a sponge from inside the closet. Like he needed anything else added to his ego.
Sure enough a loud chuckle was heard from the other side of your closet door, causing you to kick your foot against the door to hopefully startle him and shut him up.
“I think you’re exaggerating a little bit..” You said through gritted teeth, hoping this would just end the conversation for good.
Your friend simply looked at you with unimpressed eyes as she blinked incredulously at your attitude of denial.
“Honey you photoshopped what your kids would look like...”
That was the final straw, you closed your eyes in pure pain as you watched your dignity float away into an abyss. So much for showing Kuroo no mercy and moving on.
“You’re clearly head over heels for that guy-” Your friend kept going until you opened the door of your closet, your friend seeing a smirking Kuroo Tetsurō inside as he leaned against the door frame with a cocky posture, his arms folded.
“Kuroo?!” Your friend exclaimed in shock as he began to walk out of the closet with a shit eating grin plastered across his stupid lips.
“Our kids huh?.” Kuroo purred as he looked down at your annoyed expression, “Do they have names?”
The sight of that overly confident jerk towering over you with smugness literally radiating off him made your blood boil, and ironically not because he had the upper hand, but because deep down you weren’t even really mad at him.
“For the record, it was only one kid!” You said in a matter-of-fact tone until you realized Kuroo and your friend both shared the same unimpressed face causing you to puff your lip out and sigh, “And I’m now realizing that doesn’t make me seem any less pathetic.”
Kuroo and your friend both nodded in agreement, but she was quick to jump back to the bigger matter on hand.
“Y/n, what is Kuroo doing in your room?”
Running your palm down your face you opened your mouth to explain yourself but the tall boy next to you beat you to it.
“I snuck through her window to apologize for being a dick.” Kuroo said bluntly, your friend’s expression melting as a dragged out “awe” escaped her lips.
“How romantic! Y/n did you hear that? He’s such a sweetheart.”
Your mouth dropped in confusion as you glared up to his smug expression before looking back to him.
“You know what? I’ll leave you two alone! It seems like you have some unfinished business to attend to.” Your friend said with a wink as she quickly darted out of your room.
Your attempt to stop her was cut off by the sound of your door slamming once more, leaving you and Kuroo alone in your room once again.
Folding your arms you let out a sigh before looking up to Kuroo, the situation was just exhausting at this point.
“Look, as much as it didn’t seem like it... I did come here to apologize.”
"Yeah? By trying to make a move on me?” You huffed with a raised eyebrow.
Kuroo’s brow twitched at your cold reply, sometimes you really could be such a brat.
“Well I was hoping if I got you in a good mood it would be easier for you to forgive me.”
Your face simply remained unimpressed, Kuroo mentally facepalmed as his stupid reply.
“You know what, I didn’t need to say that!” Kuroo said quickly before you shut him down again. Letting out a sigh he looked down at you with a rare serious expression, “Y/n, I’m sorry for ditching you in front of everyone and putting my own needs before your feelings. I was selfish and you deserved better.”
For once your hardened expression loosened, your eyes softening as you blinked up to him.
Progress...
“And I’m hoping maybe you’ll let me prove I can give you better... by becoming my girlfriend?”
Honestly Kuroo wasn’t a fan of having to seem so vulnerable in front of you, but after the entire line of events that just happened he would be an idiot not to apologize.
As confused as he was at first, he knew he was in the wrong. Captain or not, he had no right to toy with your feelings, especially since he liked you back.
Ever since you decided to be the team manager he’s fallen in love with your charismatic personality, he wasn’t about to give up the girl of his dreams because of his fragile ego.
The sight of the corners of your lips curling into a sly grin had his heart doing a backflip.
“Perhaps if said boyfriend took me out for a nice date tonight, I’ll think about it.”
The only thing Kuroo heard out of that was yes. His eyes widened as he gave you a warm kiss before darting towards your open bedroom window.
“You won’t regret this Y/n! I’ll be back at six to pick you up.”
You couldn’t help but giggle as he once again ungracefully made his way out the window, leaning over the edge you raised a brow down to him.
“You know I have a front door right?”
Kuroo simply grinned up at you as his feet dangled over your patio, “No time, I gotta get ready to pick my girl up pronto.”
His words had your cheeks warming up, you couldn’t even help the smile that flashed across your lips, but lucky for you Kuroo missed it as he fell into the bushes beneath your window.
What were you going to do with this dork?

{This is a new version than what’s on my Wattpad}
Summary: You weren't ok. You trouble yourself a lot. You tried to do what you loved but it was hard. But there was a person who made it all better…
MENTION OF R@APE
At school everything's ok but at it really wasn't. Your father is an alcoholic and your mother was an drug addict and they both abused you.
You didn’t want people to worry about you. That would make everything worse than it already is.
But your boyfriend, Kenma Kouzume made everything better. He was there when you needed him and he never ignored you.
★✩✩★✩✩★✩✩★✩✩★✩✩★✩✩★✩✩
You invited your boyfriend Kenna over for a little hang out. When he got here he was greeted by your mother and your little sister
Your sister had no idea her parents were treating you like this. If she knew she would've told him long ago.
"Hi kenma" your mom said. "Hello Mrs L/n". Your mom was putting on an act. You were so glad your father wasn't there. Your father was far worse than your mother.
Your father physically abused you, he threw his beer bottles at you, and once tried to rape you. You got a plan B just in case you were pregnant. (Which you probably were)
At least your mother has more control than you father. If only she didn't call you slurs.
Kenma went upstairs to your room and you weren't there. But he heard whimpering from the bathroom. "Hey kitten? Are you in there?"
"Baby? Kitten? Y/n? I'm coming in."
Kitten are you al-" As Kenma went into the bathroom he was never had been so shocked in his life.
Kenma looked at you with fear in his eyes.
You sitting on the floor with cuts and bl**od on the dripping of your body and onto the floor.
"Hey baby!? Kitten?!" You had fainted because of blood loss.
Kenma quickly got his phone and called an ambulance. In the meantime he tried shaking you to see if you’d respond. Nothing.

At the hospital your mother was sitting beside you.
"You spoiled brat! What did you do?! Just wait until you get home!"
"What are you going to tell f/n (fathers name)."
You were so sick of your parents and everyday it was no different. They have been treating you like this ever since you turned three.
"Your lucky. I gotta go to work now"
She left and you were so great full.
After a few minutes your boyfriend came in.
"Hey kitten. Sorry I wasn't here earlier I was a practice.
He had practice almost every single day so you had to make sure he had a break.
"Kenma I have to tell you something."
"What is it?" You could see the worry in his eyes.
"I'm being abused! I'm not being feed properly I have a bunch of scars and bruises all over my body. I need you there all the time. Don't think that your affection isn't enough it's that your busy and I'm... I'm...
He kissed your lips.
"It's ok. We're gonna get through it together okay?" His voice was soothing and relaxing. You felt calm already
"Ok"
Your frown turned into a soft smile. Kenma's gaze softened.
"I love you" Kenma said, his voice barely above a whisper
"Love you too" you said back.

Going Home - Kenma Kozume
Warnings: None. Just super fluffy.
Kenma x GN!reader
WC: 0.5k~
__________________________________________________
Your POV:
Today is the last day of winter break, marking the end of the seemingly short vacation with Kenma, my boyfriend. A few days before midterms started the two of us decided to go visit my family who live in the US, all the way across the world, but they were begging to meet him, and so we left after our last exam.
After a very hectic stay, we're finally about to get on the aircraft heading home. As we're waiting for our group to be called, I take his hand in mine, and interlocking our fingers together. He turns off his phone and looks up at me, displaying a small smile across his face. "Are you okay, babe?" He says, bringing up our locked hands and kissing my knuckles. "Yeah I'm good, just really sleepy." I say quietly while leaning onto him. " Alright." He whispers, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him in a tight embrace.
Kenma's POV:
A few minutes later our group is called and we walk onto the aircraft. After finding our seats we sit down and buckle up. Once we sat down Y/n was pulling out the blanket for us to share that her parents gifted us over the break. I then hear my phone go off... it's Kuroo. Ugh what does he want now?
________________________________
*Private message with Rooster head*
Rooster head: Kenma-kun~~
Kenma: Didn't I tell you to stop calling me that?
Rooster head: What's so wrong with showing my appreciation for my best friend, Kenma-kun?
Kenma: Whatever. What did you want from me anyways? I'm kinda busy.
Rooster head: I'm sure your not doing anything that important, but don't forget to ask Y/n if they want to be our manager.
Kenma: Fine. The plane is about to take off ill see you later.
*End of conversation*
________________________________
With that I turn off my phone and put into my pocket, looking over to Y/n I say, " Hey Pudding, are you ready? we're gonna take off soon." She looks up at me. " Mhm, I can't wait to get back to my warm bed." She says with a soft smile while putting the blanket over us and snuggling her warm figure into my side. I lean down giving her forehead a gentle and loving kiss. " I'm so lucky to have found you." I say, my eyes full with admiration. Giving me a small peck on the lips she whispers in my ear saying, " I think I'm the lucky one." Then softly pushes her petal soft lips to mine into a kiss full of passion. Out of nowhere we hear a high pitched voice coming from behind us. "Eww! Gross get a room!" The young child says, covering his eyes. The two of us look at each other for a moment then burst out laughing. With a playful smirk on Y/n's face, She says, " I love you, Kenma." And nuzzles her head in my neck, blushing. " I love you more, Pudding." I say. I'm so happy that we are going back to Japan with each other... going home with her.

Managing Volleyball Teams
Summary: These are just little scenarios for managing the teams in Haikyuu, I decided to make a little interesting for myself by adding a quote from Rick And Morty in each one but you don't have to have watched the show for these to make sense 😊
🌱 Aoba Josai
Quote is: “I’m sorry but your opinion means very little to me”
Honestly most of the time you just sat in on practice for the fun of it, Aoba Josai as a team didn’t really need you there, you were the one that made sure that all of their matches lined up and that all of them got enough rest that was all they needed from you as a manager.
The third years however thought that you worked to hard, you were in third year like them and while you made sure that they always had time for themselves they very rarely saw you doing something because you enjoyed it, your school work combined with being club manager left you very little time to do things that you actually liked doing or at least that was what they thought.
You were sitting in the corner of the gym with papers strewn around you as you scribbled things down after texting the manager Shiratorizawa and penciling in a practice match for a couple of weeks later, you heard the shout from the boys warning you of an incoming ball, you glanced up for a second before moving slightly to the left and letting the ball hit the wall and bounce back to them. A couple of seconds later a shadow cast over you and you glanced up to see Oikawa leaning over you “Can I help you?” You asked.
“Maybe.” He siad drawing out the word as he stepped to the side and then crouched next to you.
“Shouldn’t you be practicing?” You asked.
“coach wanted me to take a break because of my knee.” He answered.
“How is it?” You asked.
“It’s fine.” He dismissed the question before changing the subject “so do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?”
“What does it matter to you?” You asked.
“So no?” He asked as changed his position to sit cross legged. “We were going out to relax the night before the game, you want to come?”
“Busy.” You answered.
“Liar.” He smirked and you looked up to see that he had grabbed your unlocked phone and was scrolling through something. “People are going to start to think that your boring.”
“I’m sorry but you opinion means very little to me Oikawa.” You mumbled as you took your phone back from him and continued working.
“You tell him (Y/N)!” Iwaizumi yelled from his place across the gym while the other two third years laughed openly.
“So we’ll see you tomorrow then?” Oikawa asked.
“If I say yes will you leave me alone?” You asked.
“Absolutely.” He agreed and you sighed.
“Fine I’ll see you tomorrow.” You mumbled as you pushed him away.
“Great!” He cheered before standing up and ruffling your hair, you glared at him and stuck your foot out as he walked off causing him to fall and the rest of hte third years erupted into laughter as Oikawa blushed.
“(Y/N) be careful with my star player!” Coach warned.
“Sorry coach !” You yelled back trying to mask your own laughter.
🛡 Date Tech
Quote is : “Are you writing this down, please be writing this down.”
Your team wasn’t at all crazy until you and Koganegawa joined the team, you both had an energy that you could say was missing from the team, you were both second years and excited to be there, you as a manager and Koganegawa as a first line player.
This was your first time at Nationals and you knew that the team had history here but you were new and everywhere that you looked there was something new, you hadn’t been their last year but you were here this year so when Aoba Josai beat your team they weren’t expecting to have ot literally pull you away from the Aoba Josai captain.
You eyes were narrowed as you looked at him, he smiled as he walked ober “can I help you?” He asked.
“Mmm oh no I was just wondering how someone like you could get a fan group like that.” You mumbled as you gestured the girls literally falling over themselves.
“We ask that every day kid.” Hanamaki called out from where he was standing and you glanced at him for a second before looking back at Oikawa.
“Next year we’re going to desimate your team.” You smirked as you put your hands in your pocket “are you writing this down, please be writing this down. We’re going to beat your team so badly that it doesn’t matter where you are you’ll hear about it.”
“Oh really?” Oikawa asked as he leaned over your smaller form.
“You bet.” You smirked, you were so invested in the staring contest that you didn’t feel Aone’s shadow fall over both of you, you didn’t notice him until he put his hand on your head, you looked up to see who was behind you and smiled your whole attitude changing as you looked at him “is it time to go?”
“Mmm.” He hummed as he turned you away from Oikawa who smirked as he watched you leave with your team seeming like a completely different person.
“I can’t believe you just did that!” Koganegawa cheered as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder.
“What are you talking about he’s not that scary.” You shrugged as you glanced back at the court that you were all just on.
“You need to never do that again!” Futakuchi warned as he nervously looked around.
“You worry too much.” You waved him off.
“Be careful.” Aone warned before walking towards the exit of the stadium, everyone looked at him then you before following him.
“Come on.” Koganegawa prompted you pulling you by the wrist towards the school bus.

Quote is : “To Live Is To Risk It All; Otherwise, You're Just An Inert Chunk Of Randomly Assembled Molecules Drifting Wherever The Universe Blows You...”
You weren’t at the beginning of the Training Camp, you had a few things that you needed to do before coming down so you made an agreement with the coach that you would show up later than the rest of the team, everyone could see that Bokuto was having trouble focusing all day but no one apart from the team really knew what the problem was.
Later that evening you arrived, you knew where Bokuto and Akaashi would be at that time, they would still be training so you went to the gym that they were in “Bokuto! Catch!” You yelled as you run at him jumping at the last moment.
“(Y/N)!” He cheered as he caught you.
“(Y/N) you were supposed to call us so that we could meet you at the station and help you carry your stuff.” Akaashi reminded you and you shrugged.
“To live is to rist it all; Otherwise, you’re just an inert chunk of randomly assembled molecules drifting where ever the universe blows you…” You said dramatically and while placed you back on the ground Akaashi rolled his eyes.
“We were just talking about you bags.” He sighed and you giggled.
“Don’t worry I managed.” You assured him before you heard an unmistakable chuckle from behind you.
“(Y/N) I thought that you weren’t coming, I was worried.” Kuroo teased and you turned and smirked.
“You know that I wouldn’t miss my team wiping the floor with yours.” You goaded him.
“Well Bokuto can’t even score a point in this practice match let alone a real one.” Kuroo informed you and you rolled your eyes.
“Bokuto is my champion, you can get one for me right?” You asked as you turned back to the ace of the team.
“You know it!” He cheered as threw his hands up in the air. “Come on Akaashi we have to get a point for (Y/N)!”
“Just one?” Akaashi asked lazily and you laughed as you walked over to the benches.
“Let’s start with one.” You confirmed as you settled to watch them practice.

Quote is: “You don’t know anything about my story.”
You were supposed ot be the new manager, you were younger than most of the team members but you didn’t let that stop you from surprising them all with you sassy comebacks, they were mostly in response to Atsumu who was constantly trying to get under your skin.
One afternoon they were all practicing, you were sitting and watching them coach was talking about needing them all to practice serving “I can receive on the other side.” You said and the coach looked over at you and raised an eyebrow.
“You can?” He asked.
“I can.” You nodded.
“Yeah maybe some of the other guys but I bet you can’t receive mine.” Atsumu smirked and you looked at him and frowned.
“What makes you think that?” You asked.
“No volleyball star story starts in the managers chair.” He smirked.
“You don’t know anything about my story.” You stood up and rolled your shoulder as you took off the blazer and changed your shoes. “Try me.” You watched as he got ready silence completely taking over the gym as everyone watched, you were ready to move at a moments notice, you took a deep breath as you watched the ball instead of him, waiting to see what direction it went before committing to one yourself, the ball came towards you at a speed but you still managed to receive it though it did take some doing.
“You…”
“I used to be on the girls team in middle school, I injured my shoulder so I can’t play anymore, the closest I can get to the game now is being a manager, the girls team wasn’t looking for a manager so here I am.” You explained and he smirked as he looked at you through the net.
“Now I know everything about your story.” He teased and you narrowed your eyes.
“Whatever, get out of the way the rest of the team need to practice.” You mumbled, Osamu was the next one up.
“Thank you.” He said as he looked directly at you and you frowned.
“What?” You asked.
“For crushing my brother.” He answered and you looked at him and rolled your eyes.
“You two are ridiculous.” You informed him and he shrugged before serving, you moved to stop his serve while hearing someone else say:
“You haven’t seen the worst of it.” And you believe them.

Quote is: “School is not a place for smart people”
You happened to be one of those people who was passing all of their classes even though you were hardly ever present for any of them and by that I mean that you were sitting there but your mind was always somewhere else.
All of the team knew this but still Kageyama and Hinata asked you to tutor them, you accepted immediately and everyone else was worried that they were going to fail everything because they were sure that you never listened and assumed that you were just lucky when it came to exams.
You were all sitting in the gym on the day that you were all getting you results of course your were perfect and Sugawara was again raking in money for being the only one to bet that you would pass everything however the main event was waiting for Kageyama and Hinata to get there, the gym doors were kicked open and you looked over and smiled as Hinata raced over to you waving a test paper in your face “I passed!” He cheered and you never smiled wider in your life.
“Kageyama?” You asked and he looked over at you.
“I passed.” He informed you.
“But?” You asked.
“I scored higher than he did.” Hinata cheered and before you could say anything else the setter was chasing the shorter middle blocker around the gym.
“How did you manage that?” Tsukishima asked.
“What?” You asked.
“They couldn’t learn anything in school, how did you teach them?” He asked and you looked at him and shrugged.
“School is not a place for smart people.” You answered.
“This one isn’t.” Tsukishima muttered as he watched the two idiots run around the court.
“Don’t be mean.” You warned and he rolled his eyes.
“Whatever.” He dismissed you comment as he got up ready to start practice, as Diachi tried to get the other two to focus.
“Hey (Y/N)! Come and get your two idiots to focus!” Diachi yelled and you laughed before standing up.
“Carrot top! Milk Boy! Get your crap together it’s time to volleyball!” You yelled.
“And she’s the one that passed with flying colours.” Tsukishima muttered.

Quote is: “_____ is just a hyper-emotional needy little what’s the word I’m looking for… Human, I can tolerate it but I can’t give a crap about it”
Kuroo, Kenma, Yamamoto, Lev and Yaku had stayed behind to practice more and what that meant is Yaku was making Lev do drills while Kuroo was blocking spikes from Yamamoto that Kenma had set. You walked back into the gym with some food that you had gotten them as a reward for all of their hard work “Here you go boys!” You yelled putting the food on the benches as you sat down with your own share.
“Lev your not done yet!” Yaku yelled as he attempted to leave to get his own food.
“(Y/N).” Lev whined buti t was almost like you didn’t even hear him.
“Are you really going to ignore him?” Kuroo asked.
“Your the captain.” You reminded him.
“But we all know that Yaku literally only respects you.” Kuroo argued.
“Look Lev is just a hyper-emotional needy little what’s the word I’m looking for… Human, I can tolerate it but I can’t give a crap about it” You explained as you continued to eat your food.
“Did she just forget the word for human?” Yamamoto asked.
“Mmhm.” Kenma hummed as he continued to eat, you managed to hold it for like 5 seconds before you burst out laughing.
“Yaku stop it, let the child eat!” You yelled as Lev rushed over.
“Your too easy on him.” Yaku complained as he came to sit with you.
“And you are too hard on him.” You argued.
“At least Mum and Dad aren’t fighting.” Kuroo commented with smirk.
“They aren’t but they might be about to kill the wierd uncle.” You threatened as threw a pen at the back of his head and he just smirked.
“Alright everyone back to work!” You ordered as you saw that most of them had finished eating and they all groaned as you shrugged.
“Blame your smart mouthed captain.” You shrugged as they all turned to glare at Kuroo and you rolled your eyes with a small laugh. “We don’t have to stay for that much longer, just a couple more hours and then your all free to go.”
“To soft.” Yaku muttered.
“Stop critizing me and get back to work.” You grumbled before pushing him back towards Lev.

“What, so everyone is supposed to sleep every night now? You realise that nighttime makes up half of all time”
The whole team knew that you could be obsessive in your behaviours and it was never worse then when it got to exam time, they would see that you distracted yourself from the pressure of exams by helping them in any way that you could.
Tendou and Ushijima realised that you weren’t there the moment that they walked into the gym and after some asking around they found that the last place that anyone had seen you was in the library, Tendou texted you asking if you were okay and within 30 minutes you were running through the gym doors apologising. “Why are you apologising?” Tendou asked as he walked over looping his arm around your shoulder.
“I’m late.” You answered.
“You don’t have to be at every practice.” Tendou reminded you and you looked at him and shrugged but he stopped when he finally got a look at you. “Is something wrong?”
“No.” You answered rubbing your eyes before stretching and turning towards the team on the court.
“Did you sleep last night?” Semi asked making you jump as you turned to look at him.
“What, so everyone is supposed to sleep every night now? You realise that nighttime makes up half of all time.” You complained and he just raised his eyebrow.
“It’s important to get 8 hours of sleep every night.” Ushijima informed you and you rolled your eyes.
“There is no teen apart from you that gets 8 hours sleep every night.” You argued and Tendou chuckled under his breath as you turned to him.
“What are you laughing at?” He asked.
“You need some rest.” Tendou informed you and you narrowed your eyes at him.
“So do you.” You informed him.
“How about we get some rest together?” He asked.
“Tendou.” Ushijima warned and you looked at him and sighed.
“You guys should get back to practice.” You gestured the court. They did go nback to practice but they all kept an eye on you until the end of training when Tendou gave you a piggy back ride all the way to your room and they all stayed talking and messing around, they only left when they were sure that you were actually sleeping.

My dancer
Relationship: Kuroo x female Reader
Genre/Warnings: Fluff, hinted sexual themes -> 16+! (reader discretion advised)
Word count: ~2.2k (in 1 chapter)
Description: In which Kuroo realizes, once again, how madly in love he is.
masterlist
When the lights dimmed down and the curtains opened, Kuroo was not really sure what to expect. The last time he had gone to a theatre it was some obligatory family event he had slept through most of the time. It was not like he despised performing arts, yet he was not too keen on consuming some either. If he wanted visual entertainment, he would rather watch a movie than go to a theatre. Back then, he had been young and had had not much patience. Yet, he was sitting here now and caught himself being curious and even, a tiny bit, excited. After all, he had grown, maybe became a bit more open-minded towards it all.
After all, he already should have sat here years ago.
However, grown up or not, he quickly got reminded why he had avoided theatres in his free time not even fifteen minutes into the evening. He might be more tolerant now but, with all due respect, he had realized that a performance of a hobby dance school did not entertain him. Fairly speaking, it was cute how the five-year-old pounded across the stage, jumping rather less synchronized when the music gave it away and occasionally spinning around all while having the brightest of grins on their faces, obviously having a blast. Still, Kuroo tried and failed to share the apparently never ending excitement of the spectators sitting in the front rows who could not stop applauding and taking pictures.
Probably the parents, he assumed. Kuroo had always considered himself a pretty empathic person but right now he simply could not understand how someone was that enthusiastic about some children in costumes. Maybe he would understand once he was a father himself. So instead of clapping like one of those toy monkeys with cymbals, he applauded politely every once in a while.
He skimmed through the program every spectator had found lying on their seat. Apparently, they had scheduled the children’s performances first, and as the evening progressed the dancers would get older. The urge to groan frustratedly grew as he realized he had to wait for at least another hour. From then onwards it should be more bearable for him.
His eyes rapidly jumped over the names of the performers, in the dim light barely readable, until they came to a quick halt. A sudden wave of pride overcame him, and he could not contain his smile when he read her name. Although it was just some cheap, clearly self-made prospect, seeing it printed black on white looked so official. Did she feel the same when she had looked through the setup during his matches? Had she read his name and thought to herself, “Oh, I know that guy – That’s my guy!”?
“Thank you again for coming,” the woman next to him whispered. It was her mother. Both her parents sat to his right. They had gone through these performances many, many times already. “Although she always says you don’t need to come, she’s actually very happy, you know.”
It took Kuroo a few moments to realize that she was consoling him. Unconsciously, he had started shaking his leg, a clear sign of impatience. As soon as he noticed, he stopped. “No,” he wanted to clarify immediately. “I mean, yes. I know.” He sat up properly and tried to focus on what was happening on the stage. “Of course I have to come,” he added with a low voice. “It was long overdue.”
And that was the truth. Considering how many years they were dating already, it was almost embarrassing to admit that this was the first official performance he ever saw. In this regard they had been nothing but unlucky; be it volleyball nationals, a broken arm of hers, his sister’s wedding, the dance school skipping the yearly stage performances due to construction work… Throughout the years there had been many reasons why Kuroo could not have attended, and the more often it had happened, the bigger grew the clod of guilt in his heart. Especially when she had watched most of his matches so dutifully and enthusiastically.
“You didn’t miss much. I believe it’s a little tiring,” her mother told him. He was hearing these words for the umpteenth time now, not only from his – as they liked to call themselves – soon-to-be parents-in-law – even though a proposal was nowhere near in sight – but also from his girlfriend. Every time it was clear that another year would pass without him seeing her dancing on stage, she had always waved it off, “It doesn’t matter. ‘Nothing special’ to put it into Kenma’s words. I mean, of course I’m a little sad. But it is as it is. After all, it’s just a hobby.” Each time it had nagged at him how calm she had said those words when her eyes clearly told how disappointed she was. Not necessarily in him, but in the whole situation.
Therefore, him being here was actually quite a big deal. For the past few weeks, she had alternated between foreseeing any kind of catastrophe that would prevent Kuroo to see her performance once again, and constantly asking him if he really wanted to come since it would probably only bore him. Again, she had appeared quite collected, yet he knew how excited and happy she was. He had noticed it in the way her eyes had shone a little brighter and her walk had become a little bouncier every time he had reassured her that he was very much looking forward to finally seeing her dancing on stage. For that alone, sitting here and watching children hopping in the spotlight had already been worth it.
So, he responded honestly, “I wouldn’t say tiring. Just… not the first thing that crosses my mind to get rid of boredom.” Even though he did not play as much volleyball as he used to do in high school, he still enjoyed working out. He liked to feel the sweat dripping down his forehead, his skin burning after the ball hit his arms and his muscles ripping apart as he forced himself to go further, to jump higher, to run faster. He preferred moving around, not watching someone else do it. Yet tonight, he was more than willing to sit in the dark among many others to focus on the only illuminated spot in the theatre, namely the stage.
“Well, I just hope you won’t regret it.”
“Oh” A small smile appeared on his face. “I most definitely won’t.” And that he was sure of.
As the evening continued, Kuroo thought about the old days. Back in high school as he got aware of his interest in her had he already known that being in a relationship not only meant to have an important person, but also being one? Probably not. He vaguely remembered how he had pestered her to come and watch one of his matches when they had been nothing more but shallow friends. Often she had declined jokingly stating that one might think they would be dating if she showed up because of him.
But then, one day during a match against another school in Tokyo he had spared a look over the ranks somewhat mindlessly. – “Well, I heard that our volleyball club was actually quite good, so I came to confirm it myself.” – How startled he had been when he had seen her beaming and cheering. He still remembered it clearly since he had failed the next receive in his surprise. This was the moment he had realized there was no other face he would rather spot watching him play. That he had fallen in love.
During that time, he had already known she also got a passion as big as his for volleyball. As they gradually had grown closer, he had noticed just how much she actually loved to dance. Having people around she was comfortable with she knew no shame in holding back as soon as any kind of melody sounded. On rare occasions she would even start to swing her body randomly without any music playing; spinning around and throwing limps graciously in a rhythm nobody could hear but her. Nowadays he knew it was a sign that she got a song stuck in her head.

(Making up a match here 😐)
It was 24-22, Karasuno in the lead, Nekoma closing the distance slowly. The 'monster duo' had been testing Nekoma with quick attacks, and almost perfectly receiving, Nishinoya and Yaku were having a silent battle of who could return the most balls. Bothing thinking it was one-sided.
The match was for fun but a few people came to watch (is this even allowed) because the game wasn't held in a private gym (really making a way for you ig) and any passerby could slip in.
At Nekoma's match point, Kageyama set a ball across the court as Hinata ran up to the net preparing to spike, but landed to the ground as the ball sailed past him to Tanaka, who scored their winning point.
The game hadn't lasted very long, Hinata's decoy had caught a few people of guard which ended in Karasuno's favor.
The crows cheered for vicotry, while Hinata suddenly turned to wave towards a boy who both teams noticed to look around their age.
Sugawara saw this and nudged Daichi,
"Have you seen him before?"
"Hinata must know him from somewhere- what are you doing...?"
Daichi turned to Kuroo staring at you then throwing his hands up.
"Am I the only person who sees this as a recruitment opportunity? He came to watch us, right?"
Yaku walked by and handed Kuroo a towel, "Yeah, kinda losing faith in Lev..."
"Don't bother strangers, Kuro."
"He's leaving anyway, or I think he is, what door is that?"
-Cut to Lev sulking in the corner growing mushrooms-
Daichi looked towards the door you left through, which leads to the court...? (I have no clue what I'm doing)
And in full glory, resting bitch face and no shits to give, you walked onto the court and yelled,
"Shoyo!! Spike!"
"Shoyo? That's Hinata, right?"
He was all the way on the other side of the gym room but heard you fully, breaking into a run towards you.
"(m/n)! Receive!"
You held your arms out with an indifferent expression as Hinata came crashing into you.
Hinata's busy-ass schedule interfered with the time you two had together, and you hadn't seen each other in awhile.
You two were enjoying the presence of the other, being all wholesome and "I missed you" "I missed you too" until Daichi had to interrupt shi- Asked Hinata who you were.
Everyone else in the gym was like "Bruh"
"Oh, Daichi! This is my boyfriend, (l/n) (m/n)."
"Heya, I'm the boyfriend."
Nekoma had already left the gym, since Karasuno was held up bc of you (Oh, wow, really 🙄)
Noya and Tanaka ran up to y'all so fast, firing questions about how you and Hinata ended up.
Noya grabbed Hinata by the shoulders which had you s h o o k-
"Hinata how long have you been hiding this from us! I feel betrayed!"
'I can't tell what he's referring to...'
You grabbed Hinata's hand and glared at the libero, a signal to let him go, which he got quickly.
Noya then walked over to Tanaka dejectedly. How could their kouhai, who was supposed to look up to them for advice, have gotten into a relationship before them?!
The calmer members of the team introduced themselves to you, as well as two girls you learned were Yachi and Kiyoko, their managers.
After all that you and Hinata stood off to the side in convorsation.
"(m/n)!" Sunshine looked into your eyes and- "Did you see me out there? What'd you think?!"
"You were freakin' awesome, Sho."
"Hell yeah!"
One of the third years you recently met, Sugawara, came up to you both.
"Hinata, Noya made a bet with Daichi and now he's paying for food, do you and (m/n) wanna come?"
"Thanks, senpai! But we have to get going."
Your eyes widened, "We do?..."
"Mhm, I've wanted to take you out! And now that you're here, don't even think about paying."
He kissed your cheek and left you slightly flustered as he quickly gathered his things. You tended to argue about who paid for stuff sometimes, and Hinata liked to get the jump on you.
(In a super civilized way and not you and Hinata agressively complementing each other type of way. Of course not.)
He jogged over to you clearly excited as put his arm around you and led you to the exit of the gym, saying goodbye to Karasuno.
Your voices faded as you left the gym, the conversation going something like this,
"So, where do you wanna go?"
"Wait- you didn't decide already?"
"I just wanna spend time with you, (m/n), so we can go wherever, as long as..."
