Seven Bridges - Love and Peace?: Chapter 7

Location: Yumenosaki Infirmary Characters: Hitsugi & Jin

TL Note:

In Japanese culture, the nape/the back of the neck is considered an erogenous zone.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ< Almost an hour later. Yumenosaki infirmary. >

Jin: Sagami-sensei’s here~♪

I heard there’s been an emergency? Sorry for arriving late, Anzu.

If I were to make an excuse, I’d like to say that there’s a restaurant I’m a regular at that does cheap deals for alcohol at lunchtime on weekdays. It’s kinda my habit to go straight there and have a drink once my work is finished.

Stuff’s pretty strict near ES so there aren’t many places to drink there, you know? Yumenosaki’s also an educational institution, so I guess it’s basically the same there too.

That’s why I’ve gotta go pretty far out downtown. It’s a real hassle going to and fro like that.

Man, if only I could get a drink whenever I wanted.

I know you’re probably wanting to tell me I shouldn’t drink ‘cause teachers are role models, but I don’t give a crap. This is my right that’s acknowledged by the law.

………Hm?

Huh? Uh, Anzu… what’re you doing?

Hitsugi: …………

Jin: Oh hey, it’s “Nekuro”. What’re you doing there? Why is Anzu kneeling on the ground in forgiveness?

What’s going on between you guys? Though I guess I don’t have the right to question you guys.

You’re gonna be leading a tough life ahead if you’ve got such twisted fetishes from a young age – like getting happy over someone kneeling in front of you.

Hitsugi: …Oh! You were referring to me when you said “Nekuro”!?

Jin: You’re as slow as always – Who else is there?

Hitsugi: But I’m Kurone, not Nekuro!

Jin: Right. Yeah, “this you” doesn’t really know anything about that, huh.

Hitsugi: ……? ……?

I don’t really understand but I’m confused too. I was in the infirmary when I woke up and she’s been kneeling on the floor without saying a word for some reason.

Jin: So you weren’t the one who made her do that?

Hitsugi: I wouldn’t ever! But I guess I do feel a strange sort of excitement when I see the nape of the neck on a female[∗]!

Jin: Don’t. You’re just gonna be another pain in the neck for me if you also get twisted the wrong way.

Maybe it’s just because you’re broken fundamentally.

Hitsugi: ………?

Jin: Anyway. Then, is Anzu just kneeling on the ground because she wanted to? Why? Is she copying what Isara does? “Trickstar” didn’t teach you anything weird, did they?

Hmm? Nekuro– I guess I should be calling him Kurone, huh. Did you wipe him down ‘cause this guy was dirty from head to toe, Anzu?

Then you saw his naked body by accident? And that’s why you’re kneeling on the ground apologising?

Hmm… Otogari dug Kurone out and noticed he was using female pronouns, so you thought he was like Narukami?

That’s why they asked you to look after him – ‘cause you’re a girl. Otogari didn’t say enough so you misunderstood and thought Kurone was a girl?

Well, he’s got long hair and kinda looks like one.

Hitsugi: Not really!

Jin: You wanted to wipe his body down out of goodwill and ended up seeing the naked body of a young boy. Is that right, Anzu?

That’s just an accident – I don’t think you had to go that far to kneel on the ground in forgiveness. Is it against your religion to see the skin of the opposite sex or something?

Hitsugi: Yeah! Actually, I heard from my “big sister”, but I was apparently buried in the ground?

You saved me so you’re my saviour! If anything, I wouldn’t be able to complain even if I was killed!

Hm? You weren’t the one who saved me? It was someone called Adonis Otogari?

But even so, you were worried about me and wanted to wipe the dirt off me, right? Your goodwill made me very happy.

Ehehe~ I can’t really explain it that well ♪

Jin: Hey. I don’t particularly care but why were you buried in the ground? Is that some sort of metaphor?

Hitsugi: It’s not a metaphor – I was actually buried in the dirt!

Jin: Why? Go talk to a teacher if you’re being bullied.

Hitsugi: Am I being bullied…? Hmm?

I don’t really know but! It looks like the people from the “Peace Party” hate me? And maybe that’s why they attacked me!

Jin: The “Peace Party”?

Miraculous Satogou AU Snippet

Well, this was a certainly a dilemma Goh found himself in. Not that it was his fault, mind you, but still, not how he wanted to spend his day.

If he was going to be chased by an Akuma, at least let him be transformed first! Then he’d actually stand a fighting chance, instead of being forced to flee like this. Stuck in civilian form.

“Goh, get back here NOW!” Chloe—‘Mathemagician’, why did she have to be so on his case about his homework?! It wasn’t HIS fault that having a secret identity made it hard to keep track of things—yelled after him, shooting yet another arithmetic symbol in his direction.

“Look, I already apologized! Isn’t that enough?” Goh called back down the stairs, not really expecting a positive response.

“NO!”

“Yeah, I figured as much,” he muttered under his breath, shaking his head. ‘Why did Lunar Moth have to make her so overbearing?!’

Tearing through the roof-access door, the boy skidded to a halt as he realized he’d made a mistake.

Apparently, Mathemagician could teleport, or something similar, because the villain was currently standing right in front of him, cutting off his escape. Turning back, he found that the door had vanished, erased by a minus sign that now decorated the empty wall.

“There’s no getting out of this, Goh,” she said with a glare. “Just admit your defeat and get to work.”

“Yeah, I don’t really want to do that right now, is there maybe another option?”

“Do you want to end up like that door?”

“A third option?” he clarified, backing away towards the roof’s edge. Maybe there would be a fire escape, if he was lucky.

If he was ever lucky outside of when he was Lord Bug.

“This question is only true or false, Goh, so give me your answer. Or I’ll answer for you.”

Holding up his hands in a desperate plea, he shook his head. “Please, Chloe, can’t we just talk this out?”

“Incorrect!” With a flourish, she sent another subtraction symbol from her wand, and with a start Goh leaped to the side to dodge—

—and lost his footing, tumbling over off of the roof with a yelp.

Was there any time to try and transform, avoid the damage? Was it SAFE to transform? Goh closed his eyes, bracing himself as the sidewalk hurtled closer—

“WATCH OUT!”

In a flash, a stong pair of arms grabbed him by the waist, snatching him away from danger.

“You gotta be more careful, y’know? There might not always be someone around to catch you if ya fall like that.”

That voice—startled, Goh’s eyelids flew open in shock. That was...

Holding the boy tightly, balanced up in the air on his extended staff, was Nekuro, his superhero partner. In spite of himself, the boy felt his face heating up as a blush arose from being so close—

“Are you alright? Ya look pretty flushed,” the cat-like hero remarked jovially. “Y’know, I don’t think we’ve ever met before. The name’s—“

“Nekuro,” Goh heard himself finish, then slapped a hand over his mouth. He’d almost said ‘Actually, we have met,’ what was he thinking?! He could give away his identity! “I—I’ve heard about you,” he stammered, trying to come up with an excuse for his outburst.

“Ya have? Nice! I...” Nekuro trailed off, looking a bit embarrassed. “I...still don’t know your name...”

“I’m Goh. Goh Tajiri. It’s...nice to meet you...”

“Nice t’meet ya too, Goh,” the hero replied with a grin. “Anyways, I gotta take care a’the Akuma. Hope Lord Bug shows up soon, though, this one looks pretty tough.”

“I—I’m sure he’ll be here soon,” Goh said, feeling like an idiot. ‘Why does he have to be so cute—‘

Nekuro retracted the staff, lowering the pair to the sidewalk and letting the other boy get off.

“Cat-ch ya later!” he joked, vaulting up onto the roof, leaving Goh looking on behind him.

“...Goh, as much as we both know you have a huge crush on him,” Tikki said from where she was hiding in his hood, “don’t you have to go help out, too?”

Blinking, the boy snapped out of his daze. “Wha—Argh! Tikki, you’re right, what am I doing?!” Facepalming, he gave the Kwami a sheepish look. “Sorry about that...Spots On!”

In a flash, he transformed, and—with one last chuckle to himself—“I’m such an idiot”—swung up after his partner to face the Akuma.

thank u lord for this moment uve given me

first impression: ironically wasn’t my favorite! i liked him for a deuteragonist, but he came across as kind of ‘omg this is me’ and i really kinda dislike those characters.

impression now: he quickly became my favorite (as did sloth pair as a whole) the more we saw his backstory and emotions. i relate to him a lot and he’s a very big comfort/synpath character for me!! servamp does a really great job at ‘defying the stereotype’, in my opinion. :D

favorite moment: i have a few, and its in no particular order:

the scene with mahiru in his mind, when the white glass shatters around them into a sunny, bright field

during one of the first times (if not the first) in c3, when mahiru tells him they’re partners and that he wants to know when he’s worried or in need of help. nekuro appears behind him, saying the words made kuro happy; its very significant in that he knows what he’s feeling, but has yet to admit them.

in the recent c3 arc, mahiru yells at touma in literal, genuine anger because he calls kuro a ‘thing’. kuro seems surprised, but thanks him and tells him he’s happy mahiru cares so much that he gets angry. (”i’m glad you’re the type of person to get angry.”)

AND LASTLY, THEIR COMBINED ATTACK ELPIS, PROOF OF HOPE

idea for a story: fucK I DONT EVEN KNOW!!!!! I HAVE SO MANY but hear me out. kuro is a tome wielder that rides a black pegasus bc its a fire emblem au and i loVE THE UNIT CLASSES SO MUCH

unpopular opinion: idk if this counts but. while its fun to talk abt how edgy he is, he’s actually very happy right now imo? and he’s grown so much, gaining both mental growth and a healthy group of friends. i’m so fucking proud of him u have no idea

favorite relationship: if u don’t know by now that its sloth pair then u’ve only been following me for like 5 minutes

favorite headcanon: because he can’t see himself in mirrors, mahiru is the one who does his hair in specific situations. :) particularly, the pic where he has a ponytail. mahiru did that. but its also an excuse for him to have his hair played with bc it makes him purr like a kitten.mahiru knows this and lets it happen anyway bc he likes it when kuro purrs, so its kind of an unspoken thing between them.
