The Demon Father's Sacrifice
Ultraman Chronicle D: Hanejiro stops by the house again, bringing a gift of Super-GUTS Manju. Deban is glad to learn Hanejiro got to meet up with his friends, including Asuka, again, but then notes that Hanejiro was the first Super-GUTS member to learn Dyna's identity while Marluru only learnt Trigger's late, and starts wondering why Ultras don't reveal their identities to their friends. After considering Dyna's battles with Neo-Darambia, Nise-Dyna, and Geomos, but still wonders about it, afterwards. Marluru points out that there's no knowing Ultraman will always be there, GUTS-Select were fighting Kaiju before Trigger appeared and continued after he was gone, and the Ultras don't want their friends to become dependent on them to fight.
High School: Kireko is depressed over Mako shuttingmherself away, her mother decides to cheer him up by taking him out into Fukuoka. They pass by the museum Yabai Kamen and Shaberryman are still trying to force their way into, after several attempts, Ex then arrives and starts fighting Yabai Kamen, Mako's mum cheering on the fight until Shaberryman targets them. Kireko turns into the scabbard for Mako's mum, who manages to produce her own skirt and transform into MAMA. MAMA holds off Shaberryman, stirring some memories of Kireko of his lord, while Yabai Kamen mocks Ex and the Suggee Project heroes, Ex recalling arriving in Fukuoka to meet the Dogengers and thinking of his comrades in Kagoshima. MAMA encourages Ex, who manages to defeat Yabai Kamen. They see Ex off to try and actually meet the Dogengers, and return home, where Mako and Kireko make up and her mother reveals a little too casually that she changed too. By removing his helmet, Shaberryman manages to sneak an old sword and scabbard out of the museum. Ex goes to greet the Dogengers, only to walk into the headquarters of Aku no Himitsu Kessya again, just before Shaberryman arrives. Seeing the sword in Yabai Kamen's hand, Ex wants to get it back, but is held down and made witness to Yabai Kamen's transformation into the Lord of Aku no Himitsu Kessya.
Revice: Hiromi's presence defuses things enough that Daiji simply leaves rather than continuing attacking Ikki. At Happy Spa, Hiromi admits to having faked his amnesia. He managed to get the Skybase evacuated of rehab patients after Tabuchi relayed info to him on Akaishi having stuff moved. He can't fight, but hopes to get Daiji back. George feels all the work on Giffard Rexnhas been wasted, however another source of Giff Cells volunteers himself, Igarishi Genta. Akaishi tells the Hell Giftarian how humanity rejected Giff in every era, and Giff tasked him with awakening him when humanity became too powerful, Akaishi claiming humanities sins far outweigh Giff's. George quits when Masumi intends to go through the procedure on Genta, storming out as Ikki and Buu-san arrive. Genta wants to see this through, accepting after Ikki leaves to face the next attack the estimated 50% survival chance. Ikki convinces George to work with his father. Genta records a last message for his family before surgery begins. Revice, Jeanne, Aguilera and Over Demons fight the hoarde of Giff Juniors and Giftarians. Hiromi tries to convince Daiji, noting how his own justice went out of control after losing his Akuma and fighting as Demons without seeing how it hurt those around him, noting Daiji is the same, Daiji doesn't listen. Masumi collapses in surgery, dropping the treasure George had left by his grave as a boy, as George arrives to assist. Vail attacks Revice. About a 3rd of the way through extraction, Genta starts thrashing about, Vail feels this and reveals Genta might die, Revice disperses him before rushing to his father after realising the true risk. The necessary cells are almost extracted, but Genta won't make it, Ikki arrives and shatters the casing, stopping the process, swearing not to sacrifice anyone for thus, at which point the Giffard Rex Stamp shows it is complete and flies away towards Giff, George hands Ikki a Revice Driver and tells him the stamp needs to be split. The Riders are defeated as Hell Giftarian joins in, Revi and Vice Ptera Genome chase the Giffard Rex ViStamp as it approaches Giff, intercepting it and managing to force it apart, Ikki and Vice each equip a Revice Drive, and become Revi and Vice Giffard Rex. They're able to summon copies to destroy the army, and face the Hell Giftarian, using finishers and the Final Remix to overpower his regeneration, then send an attack back at Giff, who closes his portal. Akaishi tells Daiji this is just humanity guaranteeing their destruction. Genta apologises to his family for risking death, and admits he's been forcing himself to act like Junpei. The family is still a member down though.
Donbrothers: Tsuyoshi, Saruhara and Haruka tell Donbura's Master about Taro vanishing, henis surprised but isn't aware of any way to bring him back. Jin says that Taro is surely dead, and even though his son is gone he can't grieve, but does have news that if Taro disappears, his replacement will appear. 21 years Momotani Jiro fell from the heavens in a peach, a voice inside him always telling him to train to be a hero. Now, the time has come, as he resigns from his job, says goodbye to his girlfriend Rumi, and goodbye to his friends sadly. His friends are sad to see him go, but bothered that he never grew out of his childhood fantasy. Sonoi tries to defeat a Juto unsuccessfully, Sononi and Sonoza point out the futility, but he seems to be having regrets over killing Taro. A participant in a Shogi match stresses out and goes nuts, becoming KousokuKi. Haruka wonders if Taro's death was their fault, but the others are more bothered by the substitute talk, right before they're dragged to face KousokuKi. Sononi tries to attack OniSister from behind, but everyone is surprised when Sonoi blocks the attack. Jiro arrives on the scene, and tries to prepare to join in. Sonoza also arrives as Jiro calls out to his companions, introducing himself as the superhero Fire Dragon, but he just throws rocks, the attack so pitiful Sonoza genuinely laughs and knocks him down, the team gagging him away. Inuzaka spots Sayama and in running, he almost hits Miho, helping her up he recognises her as Natsumi, but she is just confused, he doesn't seem to believe her but then has to keep running from Sayama, Miho collapses. Sonoi feels he was a coward in how he defeated Don Momotaro, but promises it won't happen again. Haruka, Saruhara and Tsuyoshi are all annoyed by Jiro's attitude, Tsuy9shi gets a call about Miho being in hospital, and Haruka has an idea, asking if they can use their points to bring back Taro, the Master is unsure. Miho assures Tsuyoshi she's fine, he intends to get revenge on whoever is responsible. KousokuKi rampages again, SaruBrother and OniSister arrive to fight, but the Noto are all there as well trying to defeat them, as they call out for Taro, his parade suddenly arrives, as Jiro comes to witness, Don Robotaro cuts down KousokuKi, and KousokuKing starts rampaging, he calls everyone to join him in forming Don Onitaijin, and after a chase they're victorious. Haruka welcomes Taro back, only for him to vanish, as Jiro declares his era has come. Still swearing vengeance on whoever hurt Miho, Tsuyoshi is becoming possessed by GekisouKi.
Twokaiser X Gokaiger: While the CrocoDaiOh is docked, Flint shocks her brothers by announcing her marriage to Doetamu, a Tanukitopia jeweller. This naturally shocks Zox, especially when she mentions they've only just met. Riki and Katana thought Flint was more into guys like Captain Marvelous, who they recently met again, he's also not a gadgeteer like Flint, or intelligent, a singer, a Gamer, or able to beat Zox at janken. When Flint begs Zox to accept her feelings he relents, with the traditional brotherly warning. When they're gone though it's clear he's not really happy, when suddenly Marvelous approaches asking if the Tanuki in question is Doetamu, explaining that Ahim also announced her marriage to him, and that Doetamu showed interest in Luka too. He's having him watched, and as Zox is now furious, the twins ask to be bait, dressing as lady pirates but failing to draw him in. Gai arrives, having lost Doetamu, as punishment Marvelous has him act as bait dressed as Luka, which draws Doetamu's attention, who offers a ring identical to Ahim and Flint's, the watching Marvelous and Zox realise this is how the brainwashing works. Gai, pretending to be enamoured, tosses the ring aside, and proposes, getting Doetamu to lead him home. At his home, Ahim, Flint, and two other brainwashed lady pirate wives start beating and demeaning Doetamu, which is what he wants, Gai joins in, while also relating this to Marvelous. A furious Zox changes to Twokaiser and starts fighting his way through Doetamu's security, Marvelous joining as GokaiRed. Doetamu's is distracted hearing the commotion, Gai takes off the disguise and changes as well to GokaiSilver. Doetamu calls his guards and runs, GokaiSilver while fighting pulls the rings off Flint and Ahim, who wake up confused with no memory of the events. GokaiRed and Twokaiser deal with most of the guards, but two elite guards from Kasumi-Mochitopia turn up. Flint furious, chases after Doetamu, Gai goes after her while Ahim changes to GokaiPink to handle the guards and free the other pirates, who after explanations are only too happy to attack Doetamu's men. Flint shoots and physically attacks Doetamu, but he takes no damage and only enjoys it to her annoyance, Gai calls Marvelous, who has Zox give him his powers so he can send them to her, Zox hands over his gear, which changes to the Twokaiser Ranger Key, he puts it into his buckle and Gai retrieves it, handing it to Flint and changing back, attaches the Tsuikai Unit to the GokaiCellular, and hands it to Flint so Zox can encourage her, before she Gokai Changes into Twokaiser. Her attacks now do actual damage, and Ahim joins her, pending her Gokai Sabre, as Marvelous and Zox defeat their opponents, the ladies throw Doetamu out of the building and do a combined Final Wave to defeat him. As they reunite, Ahim admits she was caught because she tried on a jewel she thought Luka would like, Flint thanks her brother for his power, and considers making herself a changer, as the pirates go to raid Doetamu's mansion.

Toxic Internet Culture From East To West
What the digital worlds of Japan’s imageboards and America’s alt-right reveal about real-life precarity.
On May 3, 2000, a 17-year-old boy hijacked a bus in Fukuoka, Japan and slew one of its passengers. Despite its reputation as a safe country, Japan has had its share of mass killings and high-profile murders. But this attack was unusual because, before carrying it out, the teen had posted a cryptic threat on an anonymous Japanese imageboard called 2channel under the moniker “Neomugicha” — Neo-Barley Tea. He was arrested and confined to a medical reformatory for several years; to this day, he remains anonymous.
In the aftermath of the attack, Japanese law enforcement started to more closely monitor the imageboard for copycats, and even frequent posters on the website began to take threats seriously. Observers noted that rhetoric on 2channel directed at Koreans and other ethnic minorities in Japan reflected a political movement called the “netto-uyoku” — “internet right-wingers.”

Ten key Aldo Rossi projects that showcase the scope of his work
A new retrospective of postmodernist architect Aldo Rossi's work has recently opened at Rome's MAXXI museum. Its curator Alberto Ferlenga picks ten designs that demonstrate the scope of Rossi's work and how it is still relevant today.
Named Aldo Rossi: The Architect and the Cities, the exhibition presents a wide range of work by the Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning Italian architect who is known for his work on architectural theory, as well as drawing and product design.
Exhibition features hundreds of photos
It showcases over 800 drawings, photographs, documents and models by the postmodernist architect.
"Aldo Rossi was the Italian architect who, more than others, set himself a theme: that of the reconstruction of an architectural culture suitable for an epochal task such as that, in Italy, in the 1950s, of the material reconstruction of the country after the war," Ferlenga told Dezeen.
"In a moment of transition in which all the previous parameters were changing, he understood that the culture available to Italian architects was not enough and had to be renewed."
Rossi's work had an effect that went beyond national borders, Ferlenga argues and is still relevant today.
"Now, are we not facing a moment of epochal transition like that of the postwar period?" he said.
"Aren't environmental issues new parameters from which to adapt the culture of architects today? And don't cities, which have grown out of all proportion but no longer read, continue to be the most important terrain for action for an architect?"
Architects today face the same responsibilities as the young Rossi
The curator wanted to give a vision of Rossi as not just an architect and poet but a "responsible intellectual."
"I believe that architects today face the same responsibilities as the young Rossi and his colleagues at the end of the war, and the same tasks of reconstructing a culture and knowledge useful for reviewing the relationships between architecture, the environment that surrounds it and the life of those who use his buildings," he said.
"In short, I wanted to underline the 'usefulness' of Rossi's thought for us today and not just his poetry."
Below, Ferlenga picks ten projects from the exhibition:
The Gallaratese Quarter, Milan, 1969
This is the first important work by Rossi, an expression of his initial architectural aptitude – neo-rationalist, purist and realist at the same time.
The iconic white building, lifted up from the ground by column-like walls and cylinders completes the colourful Monte Amiata district designed by Carlo Aymonino in the Milanese suburbs.
San Cataldo Cemetery, Modena, 1971
San Cataldo Cemetery is perhaps the most significant work by Rossi. Still incomplete today, Rossi's extension is confronted with the historic cemetery and with the suburbs – with the life of the cities and with that of the men.
A work of "late youth", as Rossi called it, it is distinguished by the blue roofs and the deep red of its central building.
Photo is by Antonio Martinelli
The Teatro del Mondo, Venice, 1980
Moored at the Punta della Dogana in Venice, the floating Teatro del Mondo (above and top) had the lightness of a children's game and the depth of an architecture that knows how to combine historical forms of the city.
Built for the biennale, the building crossed the Adriatic Sea before returning to Venice and being definitively dismantled. The work marks the starting point of the architect's international fortune.
Bonnefantemuseum, Maastricht, 1980
Like the theatre, the museum is also a recurring theme in Rossi's work, where culture is characterised by a strong attention to the relationship between architecture and history.
The Bonnefantemuseum in Maastricht gave Rossi the opportunity to define an architectural theme that often appears in his drawings, that of the tower. At the same time, he also used silos and a dome for the museum that became an important symbol of the city.
Photo is by Palladium Photodesign
House in Friedrichstadt, Berlin, 1981
The building is the first of Rossi's buildings in Berlin, where he would build numerous other projects, which represents for him one of the most important urban references.
The apartment block is characterised by the use of red brick and the white corner column that is the real "signature" of the Milanese architect.
Piazza Nuova, Perugia, 1982
An urban piazza built, but not completed, in one of the most famous Italian historical centres, this project demonstrates the urban themes developed by Rossi.
Here he aims to constitute a new contemporary city, relating the historical tradition of the city of Perugia with the needs of contemporary life.
Reconstruction of Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa, 1983
The Genoa theatre is an expression of Rossi's interest in the theme of theatre that runs through all of his work.
Rossi rebuilt the theatre, which was destroyed in world war two, to enhance its urban role. Its scenic tower has become an important landmark in the profile of the city and its interior extends the spaces of the city of Genoa into the atrium and the foyer.
Photo is by Nacasa and partners
The Il Palazzo hotel, Fukuoka, 1987
The first Japanese project by Rossi, followed later by many others, the hotel stands along the river and is characterised by a blind facade built in red Indian stone.
Apparently isolated, it created a small fragment of urban fabric at its feet. The building is the starting point for Rossi's personal discovery of Japan, which would be echoed in his writings and other projects.
Vassivière Museum, Beaumont-du-Lac, 1988
In this small contemporary art gallery built on an island in the Limousine region, the architect uses some of his recurring themes including the lighthouse.
The very simple building interprets its extraordinary location in an amazing way.
Photo is by Paul Warchol
Scholastic building, New York, 1997
Among Rossi's latest projects, the Scholastic building along Broadway, is a mature demonstration of the very close relationship between Rossi and the city of New York.
It is a singular and typical construction, that builds on the theme of the curtained building and the use of typical materials of the city such as metal and glass. It represents the final act of a very strong sentimental and professional relationship with the American world.
Aldo Rossi: The Architect and the Cities is on view at the National Museum of 21st Century Arts (MAXXI) in Rome from 10 March 2020 to 17 October 2021. See Dezeen Events Guide for an up-to-date list of architecture and design events taking place around the world.

One of my other 1/2 scale artist BJDs. She’s 110cm, a Neo-Fukuoka Wanda-chan. She sits on a chair in the corner, safe from being knocked over by marauding cats :D You can see how big she is compared to 1/4 and 1/3 in the case next to her. I changed her clothes last night, and have previously strung her with the thickest elastic I could buy (she has a very odd stringing method involving dowel rods braced against the arm holes inside the torso!) She wears children’s size 1 clothing. Still needs a faceup.
