Hi neptunegoneby, I was wondering if you could tell me if this relationship is worth pursuing? I’ve included a copy of both the synastry and Davison.

composite charts
some quick and random notes about composite charts since i’ve been doing a lot of synastry-composite readings recently.
the composite chart, davison charts, any kind of combined chart, is the Platonic idea of the “dia-logos”, or Lacan’s idea of “the Big Other”. you can think of these combined charts as showing the intellectual-emotional kin that is created by you and another person. this is the invisible “Other” that lingers around you both, and is activated through speech, physicalness, really anything you both do together.
- saturn trines or sextiles or conjuncts, adds stability consensually. easy moderation, easy discipline, easy structure. set structure. “consensually” as in, both people make a conscious decision and choices for structure.
- saturn squares, opposes, quincunx, adds stability after learning a lot of lessons. risky people and will need to learn. there can be a hard time learning to moderate. no-set structure with identity. makes more mistakes than an easier aspect, so again, stability come over time through failures/mistakes.
- saturn is relationship karma. shows where the couple has each other’s back, where the couple succeeds. where the couple fails and falls short.
- venus and moon: where the couple finds romance, love, pleasure, comfort, security --> 5th and 7th house.
- venus square/conj/opp moon --> this is a relationship that gets DEEP quickly, fast, and skyrockets to the next level.
- 6th/8th house and moon: how your day-to-day with each other is, how you share physical space, eating habits, night and daytime routines, hygiene together, shopping lists and other lists, a lot of space, things you need to do together
-mars: the  energy your relationship has: is it explosive, is it slow, is it hard for you both to adapt to change together --> do you both quarrel, are you both slow to anger. mars in 2nd/taurus will have you both taking your sweet time together, and perhaps you both have strict boundaries about what is yours and what is theirs so no arguments can happen over posessions.... mars in 8th: arguing about money.
- jupiter and mercury adds friendship, forgiving, unconditional aspect. friends first, lovers later. family first, lovers later. strong foundation of friendship first. everyone expects friends and family to stay first, which is what mercury and jupiter gives. the bond. (so does saturn, but more of a sense of responsibility to someone.) - mercury is a bond by camaraderie, jupiter is a bond unconditional generosity, and saturn is a bond by responsibility (parental almost). loosely.
- 4th house composite, 4th house ruler, planets in 4th house --> home element, retreating together. always wanting to be alone, wanting to just do things with the two of you and some family. keeps the circle small.
- uranus in a composite shows unconventionality --> doesn't necessarily mean quick break ups or quick hookups (though it can) but can mean that the relationship is not traditional, in some taboo, some sort of oddity/rarity --> relationship meant to rebel/age differances/long distance. similar to pluto. relationship is exciting. where the couple experiences the most change.
- neptune in a composite shows all idealization ... neptune conj mars --> sexual idealization, moon conj neptune --> emotional idealization... can be a good thing because this romanticizes the relationship and keeps everyone in phases of romance, this just gets tested during hard times. everyone projects onto everyone, and everyone has an idealized version of themselves and others, yet when there is a hard neptune contact, neptune takes it to an extreme. both people tries to be the ideal, and doesnt necessarily fail, it can bring people to try to be their best self for the other, which can be selfless. romance and spiritual. to reach the "Ideal" is the neoplatonic/stoic understanding of reaching Unity, reaching Perfection: just as fractalic nature is perfect and unity, neptune shows this same reach.
- pluto on an angle, people get jealous, intense couple, something about the relationship that makes people shocked.
- most planets below horizon --> private, lowkey, invisible relationship - most planets above horizon --> public, highkey, visible relationship
- chiron in the 10th --> damaging of public image, chiron shows damage to the relationshp. --> chiron in the 4th: damaging of familial image, traditions, struggle to make tradition, struggle to make foundations with each other. --> chiron in the 1st: damaging of each other’s ego. losing oneself in each other, losing individual identity and unified identity.
- north node in 2nd --> accumulate resources, get a house together, invest, etc. where the north node shows what they go out in the world to do together. ---> in the 4th house has similarities, settling down together, real estate and houses, setting up legacies and traditions, learning how to nurture each other and themselves. north node in the 12th --> SACRIFICE, the idea of sacrifice comes up because the relationship you must learn to uncondtiionally love each other, learn what sacrifices are necessary to keep each other if that is what both people want. compromise, and you will most likely feel each other as soul mates or you will truly self-realize through each other. catalyst for each other’s spiritual growth, ltierally and metaphorically. the relationship launches you both into each other’s psyche.
- south node heavy --> relationship that you are coming back to again. planets and points making hard aspect to south node, and house placements, show the repeated events.
- planets to north and south node --> yes, this is a relationship from the past that you either are going to have to stick through to see the rewards, or itll be very difficult to continue to go through. sextiles/trines/squares to jupiter, saturn, and sun can really ease these difficult placements.

SATURN AND AUTHORITY
just observation on authority in the natal chart -- there is a lot more that goes into authority, but i've broken it down to just two simple components of what i've noticed in the birth charts of people who are in positions of authority and leadership a lot (who like it and dislike it!)
saturn is always broadly known as the planet of “authority”, of “discipline”, of “structure” ; mars is known as the planet of "ambition", of "action", and depending on where, "leadership" — and more often than not, a lot of people want to give control to others and pass responsibility to other and not everyone wants to take the wheel! it can be a very brave and courageous thing to allow others to put trust in you and to put that same trust in yourself! saturn shows where we easily take responsibility (and also avoid it) and mars shows how we lead others through our own motivations.
another factor into the idea of authority is control, and i think pluto, the moon, and certain positions of the asteroid ceres show that more too just as saturn and mars does. but for now i'm just focusing on saturn and mars.
saturn in an angular house or conjuncting/oppose a prominent angle (asc, dsc, ic, mc) makes one be perceived as a leader, as an authority. especially mutable signs on these angles as they are perceived as able to listen better, able to be more flexible, and potentially better communicators for this reason. someone with saturn in these angles might also find that they can be "mentoring" or "parental" to their partners. saturn in the 10th or 7th seems to be more "tough love" to their partners and people close to them: they are the ones who become authority out of being perceived as one. they accept the perceived role of authority and flourish in it. i've also noticed people with saturn in the 1st or 4th house, tend to be way more "nurturing" and even "soft" with their discipline and way of acting out authority. this can be translated platonically, caregivers, age regressor caregivers, business/working, coworkers (especially with a cardinal 6th), romantically, familial-wise.
mars in an angular house or conjuncting/oppose a prominent angle (asc, dsc, ic, mc) makes one accepting on authority. i've noticed, mars in the 1st or 10th house, makes someone who more enjoys managing and being a leader: whilst i've noticed mars in the 7th or 4th house, makes someone who manages and leads often out of a fear. it manifests a lot that way, especially when the mars is in a cardinal sign: a lot of pain usually can come from these people when they feel they need to be a leader for obligatory reasons or from being forced into this role, or fear of losing the respect/love of others. while the 1st and 10th house mars, do it from an internalized fear of failure and acceptance of they're skills. yet, the same pattern i have seen is mars in any of these angles/angular houses, makes people who are "doers", they try their best to lead sincerely and honestly, no matter the intention or motivation.
quick example
i know someone with a sagittarius dsc, saturn conjunct dsc and uranus conjunct the dsc and mars in gemini conjunct asc = they are CONSTANTLY put in positions of authority --> 7th house is the other, and with saturn there: they are perceived as the boss, the fixer, even in relationships. in small and "serious" situations, they are the one looked towards for leadership and responsibility. yet for a while, they would doubt himself and become fixed in this idea of failure materially (taurus stellium in 12th house), and it would shy them away from initiating ideas of authority out of their fear. but the more they faced their fears of failure and began to apply themselves and accept more positions of authority, they sees themselves (1st house) as a qualified leader and someone who can lead groups of people and great at management. they even have a lot of fun with it. (mars in gemini) due to their saturn/7th house being in sagittarius, they take a stoic (philosophical) view of leadership, and they apply their philosophies in their practice and dealings with people, focusing on direct communication (often a bit too direct), structure, and flexibility for themselves and others while being able to put their boundaries down firmly. they step up to the plate of responsibility and action innately (mars). funnily enough, played a bunch of football manager as a kid and teen, realizing they loved to manage things (moon in the 4th, 28 degrees leo right on sign and house cusp of 5th house/virgo).
i also know someone who has saturn in the 4th house (pisces) and mars in capricorn (2nd house) --> they are someone who often doesn't want to be in positions of control, as they normally feel as if people are taking much from them. they can even find it draining constantly having to be the leader, often saying they’d like someone else to do it for them. but, they also are people who are very ambitious (mars in capricorn), and tend to attempt to get what they want in a stiff-arm/steam-rolling manner. often, the person places themselves in a position of authority to get what they want as they normally see they have no choice with the people around them. people with saturn in the 4th house often do this to people they are close to, and not always in any concious way of being too controlling or too micromanaging or manipulative, but again, from a fear of losing respect or the people they love and feeling obligated (maybe put in this position as a kid with a large family/sick family --> check moon too). it's often a display of care because this person believed they knew what was best for the other person, and was often too hard on themselves (saturn in pisces, and huge stellium in capricorn).
these are two examples of just ways i've noticed these saturn and mars in angular houses/angles can manifest. i use mainly placidus and whole sign housing and i ALWAYS use the sidereal zodiac. preferrably fagan-bradley/allen zodiac.

the 1st and 2nd houses shows why and what you can't let go of: how the ego chooses to let go and how it does not want to let go. the 2nd house shows what you posess dear to you, which goes towards your self-esteem and what the ego gets hurt from. this notion of what constitutes the ego and what inflames the ego sits on the axes of 1st - 7th, and 2nd - 8th, axes dealing with the Self and the Posessions. the 2nd and 8th house is also related to money, but let’s take a look at the houses not related to money-finances-material posessions, to see what you emotionally and mentally collect. check your 2nd house to see where you have self-esteem issues, what you hold dear to you (check venus and moon ruler of the 2nd/8th houses, planets within the houses/making aspects to the planets). the sign of the houses/planets color the expression. 2nd house in Aries you might be insecure or hold much pride in how strong, courageous, brave, and dynamic you are; the most inflamed and easily excitable part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Taurus you might be insecure or hold much pride in how reliable you are to anyone, how artistic you are, how stable you are, your ability to get things done, and how loyal you are; the most thoughtful and lamenting part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Gemini you might be insecure or hold much pride related to your intelligence: how smart you are, your intellect, getting your ideas shut down, how quick-witted you are, and how social you are; the most naive and childlike part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Cancer you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how you can relate to others, how you take care of others and yourself, how you are able to be an amazing family member, and how you love others gently; the most victimizing and sensitive part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Leo you might be insecure or hold much pride in how you express your creativity, how creative you are, getting your creations shut down, how you share yourself to the world, how great you can be to impact the world, how funny you are, and how others think of how you look and make them feel; the most prideful and lowest part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Virgo you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how you can manage those and situations around you so everything can stay in a ordered and peaceful environment, and how selfless you are; the most self-destructive and rational part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Libra you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how your physical appearance looks, how charming you are, how well you have an eye for aesthetics and building beautiful things, the overall judgement of your character to other people, and your romantic relationships; the most clingy and desperate part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Scorpio you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how good you are at uncovering deep Truths, how passionate you are, how good or bad of a person you are, how dark and mysterious others perceive you, and the deepest parts of yourself; the most posessive and destructive part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Sagittarius you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how honest you are, how free-spirited and non-commital you are, how noble, righteous and elite you are, and how much ‘universal love’ you hold for the world; the most exclusive and ignorant part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Capricorn you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how much of an adult you are, how much you have everything together, how much authority you have, how much you are able to win at everything, how much you are able to go the distance; the most loving and the most caring part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Aquarius you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how original you are, how spontaneous you are, how much you can change and impact the minds of people, how logical you are, how unconditioned you can remain despite the world being conditioned, how alone you might feel despite being in big groups of people; the most attention-deprived and alienated part of yourself you hold close. 2nd house in Pisces you might be insecure or hold much pride related to how sensitive you are, how mystical and psychic you are, about what constructs the reality of yourself (doubting yourself) how much love you give, how emotional you are; the most lost and optimisitic part of yourself you hold close.
1/7 axis: self- who i am (what you project, ego, the mask you put on) vs other/what i project onto you (what you might not like in yourself or this is your private self, what's underneath the mask) 2/8 axis: what i hold dearly for myself (this is where we take in excess)  vs what i give dearly for you (this is why rejection hurts here)

the heliocentric chart is the chart of your Essence. it is the chart of your Being, while the geocentric chart is of your Becoming: becoming-helio, becoming-sun, becoming-whole. as the Earth is frozen (matter is stilled spirit, actualize), as the Sun is fluid (spirit is moving, potential). Earth represents a part of us, the Sun represents the whole of us.
with Source — as our Sun is a material manifestation of the Absolute, a physical-mirrored reflection of the Absolute — there is no Earthly concerns (no houses, no four angles), no Moon (no tribal-consciousness [familial], no memories [past]), there is no “Sun” (no goals or direction [future]). as you see there seems more to be just an “Is”, just the Core Essence of you.
“For, although he told us, ‘This realm is modeled on the imperishable realm,’           He didn't teach us about the latter.”All of a sudden, while I was contemplating these things,          Behold! The heavens opened and the whole of creation shone with a light from above,           And the world quaked! I was afraid, yet          Behold!A little child appeared before me in the light.           I continued looking at him as he became an old man                       And then he changed again, becoming like a young man. I didn't understand what I was seeing,           But the one likeness had several forms in the light,           And these likenesses appeared each through the other           And the vision had three forms.“ (The Apocryphon of John Translated by Stevan Davies)
going through each sphere of the heavens: each planet there is a story of Unity: from the perceived individuation, becoming particularized, to the communal, being universal. the zodiac is a journey to the WHOLE. the houses are a journey to the WHOLE.

random musings on mercury libra, aquarius, and pisces
MERCURY: there is Logos in the universe. Mercury shows HOW we decode the Greater Nous and how we will go about accessing the Greater Nous. shows HOW you absorb the Greater Dialogos of the Universe.
Recommended reading for Mercurial folks: The Enneads by Plotinus
- mercury in libra is VERY understanding of what other people are thinking. they learn in association by others, they use others examples to learn. the sign libra is a professional at mirroring others in general. if someone touches a fire and it hurts, they see that experience of someone else and learns. they use this social intellect to see how OTHERS function, and uses that as their way of understanding. they try their best to lighten the load of others. they are the 'i dont like something, but they do. its not their problem that i dont like it. so thats interesting. why do you like this? hm, im learning. maybe it isnt so bad after all." they are considerate, and so considerate they can lose their honesty. can end up twisting their words to not hurt someone, or can end up being very abstract and even lies and a long story. very abstract thinking, as it is a social air sign (The air signs are adept at abstract thinking.)
 - mercury in pisces and mercury in aquarius are quite similar, for two reasons i like to intuit (and is just theoretical anyway): what i like to call the semi-sextile theory, and the understanding of the actual constellations. the semi-sextile theory is based upon the aspect of 30 degrees (or called semi-sextile), and upon the system of duads. SS-theory: each sign is like a gradient that flows into the other (hence cusps haha), and the S-S aspect is like neighbors in an apartment complex. sharing the same lawn, same building, but different styles of living and different cars and different interiors. but they share qualities! constellations: the constellations of aquarius and pisces overlap each other a considerable amount!  and when both of these placements are in mercury, well, to be honest, they're quite bad with directions or even spatial thinking!
- mercury in pisces is, at first, very gullible and almost too open to things. doesn't have many boundaries, and is open to the whole universe. absorbs everything even if its contradictory and often leads to confusion. so they are at risk of contradicting themselves often. cognitive dissonance. eventually if its working, they wont care about theories, they are very anecdotal and believing. (similar to mercury in aquarius). natural way of learning is direct experience (similar to mercury in sagittarius and aquarius). a bit of a minimalist. like the aquarius mercury, tendency towards decentralized and abstract thinking.
- mercury in aquarius, like the pisces, doesn't have many boundaries and accepts the causes of the universe, almost channeling ideas and soaking in everything as a chance to elevate it and seeing it to be its truest form. mercury in aquarius is very unconditional, in the sense that this placement sees things for what they are and is amazing at getting to the bare first principles of things. generally, mercury in aquarius does not like people seeing them come to conclusions nor do they like others watch them work things out. like the mercury in pisces, mercury in aquarius can come off a bit ditsy and airheaded and can even be a chatterbox if you allow them. extremely bubbly people with a unique octave in their voice. tendency to intellectualize first then experience, and skill towards decentralized and excellent at abstract thinking.

random musings on venus in leo, virgo, and sagittarius
VENUS: what and who i Have in this world. (not a full extensive list: body, attributes, tools, attraction = these four things add upon to make what you value: in concept, physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, artistically and so on)
Recommended reading for Venusian folks: Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit
- venus in leo: my creativity is my resoruce. my ability to manifest is how i survive. not creating anything makes your self-worth low. if you are creating, venus is happy in leo. needs constant reassurance.
- venus in virgo:  if you can use your detail and organizational skills to make things that can be medicinal, help others and yourself -- this will make you happy. try herbalism. appreciates refinement and sophistication. appreciates final and finished products. puts in the work to make something beautiful.
- venus in sagittarius: needs freedom and authenticity. looks for beyond what meets the eyes and requires depth. not necessarily drama or flair, but depth. someone who is growing and who can help them expand and free them. wants freedom mentally emotionally and physically, and liberating themselves into a greater version of themselves. they don't want any walls or pretense, no boundaries (similar to venus in scorpio). does not like pretentiousness. is very raw, bare faced, natural, primal. wild. a little bohemian (similar to venus in pisces). someone who is not self-conscious, and who wants someone who is not self-conscious and doesn't worry about those things. doesn't relate to people who are so preoccupied with their bodies, needs adventure.
- taurus has to do with what i Have, what i Came into this world with, my Resources. my values. what i value physically and emotionally. what i need in order to Survive. what i Want.
 - food, senses, mother earth, what is PROVIDED. what we like, what we prefer, what we prioritize, what we want, what we need, where we indulge. what we love. what we gravitate towards Sensually, that our senses respond to negatively and positively. represents our primal senses. my assets. value we put onto others. sensuous (Hegel).

on the sidereal zodiac
here are resources I wrote and compiled a while ago for the r/SiderealAstrology subreddit... this is focused on the sidereal and tropical zodiac NOT the ‘true’ astronomical-constellation based zodiac ... the reading list i will continue to update....  i hope this is good for you guys... dw i do sidereal chart readings if you want, paid for in depth + tarot reading or an ask with a question about 1 or 2 placements and i’ll answer
The Differences Between Tropical Zodiac, Sidereal Zodiac: Tropical zodiac: The tropical zodiac is calculated by Earth’s orbit around Sun, more commonly known as being calculated by the seasons. For example, March 21st, the Spring Equinox, is the start of Aries, June 21st, the Summer Solstice, is the start of Cancer, and so on. It was used and known before any other further and advanced astronomical accurate data and calculations (including knowledge of the precession of the equinoxes) were known. A bit of an incomplete calculation for the zodiac. The tropical zodiac is primarily used in the West.
“Today’s tropical astrology was established around 139 BC when a Greek named Hipparchus “invented the modern version of the tropical zodiac with the equinox fixed in Aries 0 degrees to facilitate the measurements of the positions of the fixed stars in the equatorial system, that is, in Right Ascension and Declination, which are essentially tropical coordinates. But it was left to Poseidonius, c. 80 BC, and Geminus, c. 70 BC, to systematize Hipparchus’ new fiducial--Aries 0 degrees--into the modern version of the tropical zodiac.” (Origins, p. 11).” [TAKEN FROM: http://www.angelfire.com/sd/binah/sidereal.html] Sidereal zodiac: The sidereal zodiac is calculated with the use of the stars and based off of the constellations. “The sidereal calculation for planetary placement is based upon the tropical system (which is easier to calculate). From the tropical calculation, the sidereal calculations are made. The precession of equinoxes is corrected by an equation called ayanamsha. Ayanamsha is defined as the angle by which the sidereal(ecliptical) longitude is less than the tropical longitude of a planet or celestial body. The most widely used system of ayanamsha is the Lahiri ayanamsha. Lahiriayanamsha calculates the difference to be about 24 degrees, 3 minutes, and 21 seconds. The calculation continues to change as time goes on because it accounts for a difference in two distinct rates of movement (the tropical and sidereal movement of planets). The Sidereal Zodiac uses the physical stars visible in the night sky as their frame of reference for the sun, moon or planet’s positions in the sky. The sun, moon, and planets do not transit in front of all the constellations in the sky, they only traverse in front of 12 or 13. These are the zodiacal constellations. Whether there are 12 or 13 depends on where the boundaries for the various constellations are positioned. Different cultures and systems have positioned them differently i.e. there is no universal consensus to the boundaries or even to the size of the constellations. Generally speaking the sidereal zodiac (as seen by a person standing on the earth) is that belt of stars 70 either side of the sun’s path (ecliptic) through the sky that is divided into 12 equal-sized (300) constellations.” [TAKEN FROM: “Why Are The Calculations Different in Vedic and Western Astrology?” by Abu Yahya]  The Tropical Zodiac is the position of the sun referenced against the earth’s horizon at a particular locale which gives you the seasons as a measure of the flow of time. The framework for the four seasons are the two solstices and the two equinoxes. This is the one most western astrologers use. The Sidereal Zodiac is the position of the sun referenced against the star background, as a measure of the flow of time. The framework for the star background is the constellations the sun passes in front of. This is the one astronomers use. We can measure time by the seasons (tropical time) or by the stars (sidereal time). The sun, as the time hour hand, is common to both. Herein it is referred to as “Eastern” astrology. Hindu or Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac. As I understand it, older, “ancient” astrologies--Chaldean, Egyptian--were also sidereal. The other, called the tropical zodiac, is practiced in the Americas, Europe, Australia, and parts of Africa. Herein it is referred to as “Western” astrology. They are using the same constellations to locate their signs. The most obvious difference between them today is that the tropical zodiac is about 25° ahead of the sidereal one. Since each sign is only 30° long, it means these two astrologies are almost a whole sign apart. So, for instance, if you were born in the West and your tropical sun is at 15° Cancer, in the East, that is, sidereally, it is at 20° Gemini, 25° earlier. The same thing happens to all the planets in your chart--in the East, they drop back almost a whole sign. Ditto for signs on the cusp of Angles and houses (assuming houses used are the same). With both approaches the planets themselves retain the same aspects, that is, their relationship to each other remains the same.” https://plutonictendencies.wordpress.com/2018/06/25/axial-precession/ - Axial precession https://vijayajyoti.com/sidereal-and-tropical-zodiac/ - Sidereal vs Tropical Zodiac from a Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) site https://www.renaissanceastrology.com/zodiacworldview.html - Sidereal, Tropical, Constellational

short-guide on predictive methods
here’s an extremely basic guide on how to use two of the most popular predictive/forecasting methods in modern western astrology. these are the two most popular used besides transits! later, i’ll do a post on how to use transits, how to use primary directions, how to use annual profections, how to use a diurnal chart, and how to calculate a natal chart manually
SECONDARY PROGRESSIONS:
- similar to Solar Arc Directions - based on the symbolic theory of 1 day after birth equals 1 year of your life / 1 day = 1 year - EXAMPLE: 28 days after your birth equals the 28th year of your life. Born on September 1st, September 29th is the 28th year of life. - no need to catch all the planets up with the speed of the of one planet, you can just get the transit for that day after your birth. - mainly used to represent internal emotional and mental changes. - external changes and events can be shown if any SP planets progress to an angle within the SP chart, and/or if any SP planets make a hard aspect to the natal planets or the natal angles. SOLAR ARC DIRECTIONS: - based off of the Sun moving 1 degree per year / 1 degree = 1 year / 1 degree the Sun moves is equal to 1 year of your life  - you move all the planets as the same speed of the Sun / the Solar Arc is the difference between the natal Sun and the Sun that you progress/move forward - EXAMPLE: if the Sun is in 15 degrees Aries natally, and you progress/move it 20 degrees (which lands in 5 degrees Taurus), this then represents the 20th year of yor life. - to catch the rest of the planets up with the Sun, the difference between the natal Sun and the SA Sun is what you add to all the planets. So 20 - 15 = 5, so you add that difference (or the arc) of 5 to the rest of the planets to catch it up to the SA Sun.  - NOTE TO REMEMBER: "Note that a person born in the summer will have a solar arc that is somewhat less than their age and, conversely, a winter-born individual's solar arc will be greater than their age. People born in the winter, when the Sun moves about 61 minutes of arc per day, reach these points a little before these ages. People born in the summer, when the Sun moves about 57 minutes per day, reach them a bit after these ages, with the difference getting greater as they grow older." (quote from alabe, because my way of explaining is bad)  - solar arc directions are better for looking at EXTERNAL EVENTS, especially if a SA planet has changed signs, a SA planet is on an angle in the SA chart, OR if the SA planets and natal chart planets make any aspects, and if any directed/natal/current transits make any aspects!
- some cool combination for charts that you can use to predict things: solar arc + natal + dirunal / solar arc + natal + transit / solar arc + natal + progressed + transit / solar arc + natal + transit + progressed + diurnal / composite solar arc + composite + composite progressed / composite + composite solar arc + transits!
remember the natal chart is always what you want to use as a measure against all of these types of forecasting charts.

Okay! Hi, nice to meet you again. Huh, I guess to start off with, I’m also in college, and I’m a Cancer Rising. My sun is in the 8th by whole signs in tropical astrology. I’m curious, what is your journey into astrology? Since again, I don’t see people talk about Lilly a lot. I’m into tarot too, but I stalk tarot blogs rather than do them haha
hello! x ooh another 8th houser, i have moon in 8th! i’ve been doing astrology //seriously// for about a decade. it all started because i was born on february 29th (tropical pisces, sidereal aquarius), and googling my birthday sparked my whole interest in astrology. after learning about sun signs and decanates of sun signs, it was a rabbit hole from there. it seemed natural to me and it sparked a long long journey of obsessive learning and very difficult self-study. i prefer to read and i learn better reading things, so for years i’ve spent reading a whole lot of books on different branches of astrology and just spent my time immediately putting it into practice! it started with evolutionary astrology then got into traditional astrology then i got deeper into hellenistic astrology and then jyotisha, and learning about jyotisha astrology blew my mind!
so i ended up researching into sidereal and the history and learned about a lot of the ancient things and found a man called cyril fagan and jim eschelman and kenneth bowser, and spent a lot of time (before) arguing on forums for sidereal and other ancient babylonian/egyptian methods... but soon stopped doing that, for as steiner says, the one who can ‘see into higher worlds’ has an inner world of Devotion, not of Critique... yet still, i mainly use a lot of western and jyotish techniques with mainly sidereal zodiac, campanus, equal and placidus housings i like to use. and i do a lot of uranian/symmetrical astrology... and now i’m a newly-finally professional astrology with a new online shop trying to make it out here in the cosmological astrological frenzied world. just really spending a long time experimenting and attempting to explore as many facets of astrology that this current incarnation will allow me. and fortunately for me, it has been lots and luckily a lot of time to make trial and error (and still forever learning, south node in 9th x) )
but the astrology i practice now, or that in theory that i practice, is probably what people would list under the ‘integral’ category, meaning i’m trying to reintegrate astrology as self-encompassing practice as it once was. astrology is a product of gnosis/knowledge, and the astrology being done today is a 21st century manifestation of this gnosis. still as timeless and self-encompassing i think we’re on a forefront of a post-aperspectival that gebser mentions, and astrology can be pushed into the new medium. recognizing astrology as the demiurge’s personal clock (which i defintiely soon will be making a cool post about) will allow us all to be able to reveal astrology, once again, for the entity that it is (in a good way). a lot of my now understandings and theories of astrolgoy comes from reading a lot of source texts, and in general i’m interesting in aurobindo/coomaraswamy/valerian/wilbur/spengler/gebser/steiner integral type of theories, jainism, judeo-egyptian-baha’i, gnosticism, neoplatonism, hermeticim, Alchemy (Al-Kemet..) etc etc i’m in the process of writing a few articles for my website and also trying to make... what i’ll call an Astrology Canon, of really important texts that is pivotal to astrology (in all branches, not just the western branch) but i’m definitely not the Harold Bloom of astrology... but, if you want you can PM me and i’ll give you a cool list of books. astrology forces us to ‘gnothi sauton’ ... ‘know yourself’.
