Play NYC returned for it's sixth year without Covid restrictions, vaccine passports or required mask wearing and what a difference a year later made with attendance.
I reblogged last year's event which I didn't attend but watched for updates on Twitter and Instagram. Attendance was extremely low and although attendance has been dropping since they debuted, before the pandemic it was a steady stream of gamers for this two day event, which was only one day this year.

The upcoming issue of Entertainment Magazine takes a sneak peak, into season two of The Mandalorian.

Last Spring,Funko reported that the company would be reducing its products, for the remainder of the year.
The coronavirus pandemic had thrown the pop culture community onto its head.
The closing of retailers around the country,Funko reduced the amount of their products sent to market.
There was already retail stores that were starting to downsize, their mass Funko selection.
Gamestop and Barnes and Nobles bookstores, went from shelves and half of their store space of Funko merchandise, especially Pops, have now dwindled down to one small display set and looking like they might eliminate carrying them altogether.
They have had some Funko Pops sitting there for more than a six months, becoming peg warmers and collecting dust, than onto clearance rack.
With no major comic book conventions, like San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con at all for 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic and ongoing travel bans.
This year might not be looking as promising,as well.
Enter Forbidden Planet NYC, a handful of comic book stores that are still getting a fresh supply of Funko Pops.
