Charlie putting the padlock on the bridge for him and Tao was actually one of my favourite scenes of the season. The way this scene shows the importance of friendship and puts platonic relationships on the same level as romantic ones is so fucking refreshing to me. Taking such an inherently romantic action and just making it not romantic in the slightest but about Charlie's love for his best friend that is equally important to the love he has for his boyfriend is so beautiful and important to me.
Heartstopper obviously does put a huge focus on different queer romantic relationships but I absolutely adore the way the second season portrays queer friendships and doesn't make them seem less worth than the romantic ones.

i 100% believe that everyone calls soap's kid "suds" as a nickname. that's so cute, watching him running around with a kid on his hip as they blabbermouth about anything and everything. bc there goes soap and suds :')
doesn't help that the kid is basically a mini me. mussed up hair no matter if you've done it up so neatly for the day, they always come home with it a frizzy mess from playing too hard. it's standing up in the middle just like dad's mohawk and an identical grin (albeit missing some teeth) and you sigh because they're trekking mud all over the house as they recount all their adventures going "ghost hunting" at the park.
their favorite indoor activity together is still as rambunctious as the outdoor ones. there they go rolling on the living room carpet together playing "clean house" by reenacting what hubby does for work. you actually asked them to clean the house for real. but suddenly you're tackled onto the ground as suds says "tango down!" you suppose that the array of pillows all over the ground have a purpose after all since the weight of the burly soldier laying on your stomach and his mischievous little minion is a lot. and you suppose and that it's worth it to hear both of them belly laughing.
but true to their nicknames, it's bathtime where they get to bond the best. soap is actually quite good at running a bath and doing those themed little sets, throwing in a colorful bathbomb with some toys. he has it handled while they're playing whatever hit song on the radio for the nth time and they're just happily singing along while the fifth installment of mr. ducky's war crime adventures ensue. soap leans against the rim of the tub, not caring how there's a water stain on his front, and listen to whatever suds is blabbering on about. he's got one hand waving around in the water to occasionally slap some bubbles on suds' head. pinches at their cheeks affectionately as he makes sure to scrub behind the ears and make sure his kiddo's all nice and squeaky clean.
when it's time to get out, he's out here pretending he's at the dog groomers while suds cackles and go "no! i'm a kid! i'm not a doggie!" when soap blowdries everywhere except the hair. you can hear them laughing together from the other room and smile when the two of them walk in together looking freshly cleaned and ready for bed. ugh, when they both come in to cuddle you it's too cute. you don't even comment that they used half of your lotion because "it added to the experience" to suds' spa day.

Democracy wins, here’s my casual design for Louise! Took inspo from @littledigits’s design in terms of the colours, but wanted to put my own spin on it! Gave her black trousers to match her other freaky friends and uhhh I forgot my design process for everything else. Anyways Louise has two dads supremacy
