Eddie to Zurich Film festival by me!!!
First of all I apologize for the post written late, but I'm a bit busy .... I'm still very excited to have attended the Premiere in Zurich and the Award Ceremony. As you have seen in the various videos posted on you tube Eddie was fantastic with his fans. I was unable to go on the green Carpet, but I waited for him at the Kongressal !! It's not the first time that I have attended one of his awards, but this time I was very excited, for his award time and for the fact that he played a nurse!!
I extracted two frames from a video on you tube where I could recognize myself (two red lines on me and my husband) while greeting Eddie when got in the room room.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymLgXs-r0Vk

He has been excellently presented, they listed almost all the roles he played (except jack, alex, Gordy and Eddie Kreezer?!?) and they broadcast a video of all his characters and I was thrilled when I saw Marius, on the big screen again, singing Empty Chairs at Empty Tables (I went back 10 years when I saw him in the cinema). Right after the video Eddie was invited to the stage and my heart went crazy

After thanking for the prize received, he began his speech remembering his first ZFF for Savage Grace, that time with Tara ex girlfriend, how he feels honored to be there, how he feels close to victims families etc....
There was a very funny moment where Eddie thought he had to leave and instead he was called back !!

When Eddie back on the stage was joined by Tobias Lindholm who explained how much wanted to make nursing life in the hospital real, and how wasn't easy to shoot during covid period.
After Tobias interview, Eddie and him leaved the stage and went away.
Few minutes later......
THE GOOD NURSE:
I think it's a very beautiful and real movie, working in the hospital I saw myself in many scenes, it gave the idea of how you live the hospital environment and how you approach a patient and his family, a strong movie but delicate. Eddie was sublime, while playing a murderer, he was able to reveal the more sensitive and at the same time the dark side of Charles Cullen.
There are a lot of scenes very strong but I can't say more.....
Unfortunately there are several cases like Charles in the nursing world, and to be honest I can't understand why....but the world is full of nurse like EMY, a true Good Nurse to whom all admiration goes.

‘Murdaugh Murders’: The harrowing true story of dead family and missing millions - National | Globalnews.ca
In what can only be described as truly impeccable timing, Netflix dropped their latest true-crime offering just hours before the main character in the case was called to the stand at his own double-murder trial. Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal was released to the streaming platform Wednesday, one day ahead of disgraced South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh being called to give testimony in…

Y'all if I see one fucking slash or smut fic with Jeffrey Dahmer just because Evan Peters plays him I'm setting Tumblr on fire.
I haven't seen one but I know you, Fandom. He's played some pretty messed up people in the past but they were Fictional. Now it's not.
Don't even think about it.
I know you like Evan and he's a great guy and his blonde hair brings you back to Tate era but Jeffrey Dahmer was a real person who did actual horrible things and caused a lot of pain that still haunts their descendants nowadays.
It's not an attempt to censor or anything but please it's just wrong and completely dismisses the point of the show and is disrespectful to the victims and their families.
So PLEASE admire his work (and the rest of the cast and crew's) praise his outstanding performance, but don't forget it's not a fictional character you can thrist over.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Since the new danhmer seris is out, I want to remind everyone don’t be wild with this. Don’t make fanpost about him, Fanfics or fancams/edits.
He is not a fictional character or a good person, but was an evil real asshole.
Remember to be adults or at least mature. Don’t idolize this man. Idolizing him will be disrespectful to these young men.
Tumblr media
These young men who had dreams and so much to live for. Never forget them.

Hi, damn this is complicated to use! well, little introduction! Call me Donnie, I just created it (by Donnie Darko). I am eighteen years old and I am part of the true crime community. Here I can squander a little of my hatred against humanity.
Favs.
Dylan Klebold
Jeffrey Dahmer
Adam Lanza
Andrei Chikatilo
Charles Manson
Randy Stair (Andrew Blaze)
And no, I like his cases but I don't know them by heart nor do I know every last detail of his death. Just another follower of true crime.

Okay. So lots of controversy on Netflix’s Dahmer and I’m here to explain why it isn’t what you probably think it is. This show is no doubt a grab the attention of the massive true crime viewership, and is bringing attention to a monstrous man who did awful things but hear me out... It is a horror through and through it is not pretty it is not romanticized and if you feel that way you may be attracted to Evan Peters. Who gives an absolutely bone chilling performance as Dahmer he makes you feel more uncomfortable and anxious with each scene as well as a so much hatred building with each victim he takes. Everything in this show is oriented against the glorification of Dahmer. It makes those who adore him look unbelievably ignorant, I doubt someone who was a Dahmer fangirl would still be after watching this, if they are then that is very very concerning. I have yet to see such a gruesome unforgivingly graphic depiction of a serial killer and after seeing this its impossible to unsee. But as horror narrative, writing, cinematography, and pacing goes it is incredible and worth a watch in that regard. I wouldn’t even put this anywhere near any other serial killer biography there was no skip of the bad parts it was the raw disgusting truth both visually and audiably. The way this show makes your heart break for the victim’s and their families it was insanely intense I almost cried a couple times. Over and over again the script reinforces the fact that the main focus of this case should have always been on the victims even through subtle means the overtone of the entire show is that way. This is really the tip of the iceberg of what I wanted to say there is more to it than this but I'm tired so peace.

Hoooooly shit, there's so many racists in the jeffrey Dahmer documentary.
How can you sit there and talk about the state that Konerak was found in, the multiple witnesses who begged those police officers to take them seriously, and listen to the conversation that happened between those police officers not long afterwards, and still deny that there was at least some racism going on?
if that call had been made about a white victim, said victim would have been rescued instantly. And I don't care how drunk the victim was - if they're walking down the street with no clothes on, bleeding from their rectum, cuts on their body and completely incoherent, you take it fucking seriously.

there is no gut-punch like reading a book that is Shirley Jackson as hell (Just Like Home, by Sarah Gailey)
and then reading on the book jacket "perfect for fans of Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House!!!!"
like no fuck off this is for people who really really needed to know What If Merricat Was Kind Of Normal But Also The Daughter Of A Serial Killer Instead Of A Self-Made Orphan, And Also Mrs. Montague And Arthur Were There, And ALSO Also Mrs. Montague Was Nell Vance's Mother Too
(Vera reminds me of Connie from the Physick World series, as well, but somehow with an even less healthy family dynamic than "we're all witches and because of that our partners die tragic early deaths unless we magically worsen climate change about it")

Jennifer Pan: The Girl Who Hired Hitmen to Kill Her Parents
Tumblr media
Just before midnight on 8th November 2010, a panicked 24-year-old woman named Jennifer Pan made a call to emergency services from her family home in Markham, Ontario. While watching TV in her bedroom, Jennifer overheard multiple people break into the house and confront her parents downstairs, followed by multiple gunshots.
Jennifer told the dispatcher that one of the intruders had come upstairs, tied her hands behind her back and then bound her to the bannister. As she was restrained upstairs, she was unable to provide any eyewitness details on what was happening downstairs. Towards the end of Jennifer's 911 call, a series of gut-wrenching screams for help can be heard in the distance. Jennifer's father - Hann Pan - was alive.
Jennifer seemed genuinely frantic with worry and puts on a convincing performance to the dispatcher. You would not initially believe she had masterminded the entire attack.

Why Netflix’s Dahmer Sandwich Scene Unlikely Happened
Tumblr media
Netflix’s “Dahmer -Monster: The True Story of Jeffrey Dahmer” is been a true success worldwide and it collected more than 1b hours views, becoming the #3 most popular TV (English) on Netflix (#4 considering the Non-English TV top). Besides the show portraits the events in a pretty faithful way, there are some differences and inaccuracies, and one of the most famous (and one of the creepiest) scenes is one of them.
During the episode 7 “Cassandra”, Dahmer (portrayed by Evan Peters) goes visit the neighbour to excuse his behaviour which caused some complaints from the tenants, offering the woman an handmade sandwich. The tension of the scene comes from the doubtful content of the ingredients, making the spectator think that it isn’t animal’s meat but human’s. But did this really happen? (Un)fortunately, as much this scene blows people’s mind and it’s so much discussed, it’s most probably a fake.
What are the reasons why it’s considered a fake?
At first it goes in contrasts with Dahmer’s modus operandi. He would have never risked to get caught offering other people a sandwich. He mostly kept everything to himself, not showing a hint of his macabre actions to other people. He installed cameras and alarms into his apartment and he barely had contacts with the neighbours. He met and spoke with Bass spouses sometimes, where they visited each other’s apartments at times, but they never had a close friendship nor they knew each other very well. He wouldn’t have risked it all doing this gruesome “joke”.
At second the cannibalism act, as grisly it is, it was a very deep deed for Dahmer himself. It was a projection of his needs, the next step of feeling someone near to him. It was a process who brought him to consume the meat based on an extreme personal feeling, which he couldn’t share to anyone. It wasn’t an action of a psychopath or a sadistic act to feel more evil and twisted, but an intense desire to keep someone with him as much as possible, having their meat connected to Jeffrey Dahmer himself, to become “one” (source - Jeffrey Dahmer confession). He didn’t kill for fun, but for his own (sick) necessities, and so the sandwich action couldn’t belong to his persona, but he simply couldn’t share it.
At last but not least, the source is not been confirmed, nor it’s been denied officially. Pamela Bass, Jeffrey’s neighbour, claimed she ate one of those sandwiches and that Jeffrey was used to cook for people at Oxford apartments. Her ex husband, Vernell Bass, denied everything saying the ex wife made this story up as the case blown up, explaining Jeffrey didn’t even cook for himself, and if everything was real, he would have never accepted a meal from a neighbour whose house stank terribly at first place. But until today it’s only Vernell’s word against Pamela’s, and no one really intervened clearing everything up, not even the same Jeffrey did.
