Stim Toys

just a small thing that popped into my brain box. Basically mikey finds one of donnie's stim/fidget toys. Not proof read since it's short!!!

Mikey was bored. Which probably explains why he decided to go into his brother's lab, a lot of the tech in there interested him with all the bright lights and buttons that made soft clicking noises. He didn't understand how much of it worked, but if it had pretty colors then it attracted him, and that was enough.

But he found something different on donnie's desk--well donnie had different blue prints or parts on his desk all the time, but this thing was different. it seemed like a toy. it was rainbow and kind of like a worm, is what mikey related it to. Only except if the worm was connected at both ends, therefore having no head or tail.

He tangled it around his fingers, with each bend and twist a clicking noise came out. Mikey absolutely loved it, he couldn't stop messing with it, something about it relaxed him but also made him feel really happy. He slouched back into one of his brother's office chairs and continued playing with the item. Mikey wondered if donnie made it, or if he was using it as some part for another invention. It didn't look like anything that would be used for the other's tech, but who knows, because mikey didnt.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but it couldn't have been too long, he heard footsteps walk into the room, he didn't bother looking up as he figured it was just donnie.

"What're you doing in my lab?" donnie questioned, placing his mug on top of his desk. Mikey spun around in the chair, only then did he finally away from the toy, "well, I was bored and your lab tends to have cool looking stuff, but I didn't touch anything this time" donnie raised a marker draw eyebrow as he motioned towards the rainbow tangle in the other turtle's hand.

"Oh." Mikey blinked quite a few times before speaking again, "I meant nothing that looked science-y" donnie pulled up a chair and sat down. Mikey handed him the tangle and donnie messed with it for a minute, "would you like one of these? They tend to help with paying attention, or just calming you down."

Mikey tilted his head, so it really wasn't anything tech related. "Woah, really?!? Yes of course I want one!!! How long will it take you to make another?" donnie seemed to take a second to process what was said before responding, "oh, no no I didn't make it! They sell these on the internet, they're meant for autistics and those who have adhd. Oh and they help with anxiety. I am flattered that you think I've invented almost everything in my lab" he teased after handing the stim toy back to mikey.

"Yeah yeah, I just figured you did! You're always inventing weird and cool looking stuff don!" He started playing with the tangle again, "but yes I'd like one pleaasee" "I already ordered one while we were mid conversation" donnie turned his phone around, showing that it was in fact, ordered. "Thank you donnie!! Can I hug you??" The older seemed to wince a bit before shaking his head, "thank you for asking, dear brother. But maybe just a fist bump would do" mikey smiled widely before doing what was mentioned.
