I just had a wretched, horrible, no good thought while I was making a coffee and I just; I legit hate my brain for going there.

We know Saint is very big into social commentary, human rights and because of his experience as a teenager, believing the victims. So far The Sign has dealt with some very heavy topics whilst trying to evenly handle the idea of a non-corrupt police force, which is a fallacy but I figure Saint’s not looking to piss anybody (the government) off considering he funds these projects all himself.

But I digress, point is, the series has dealt with SA and the aftermath and the victims and their mindset, what it can lead to people to do, etc. In todays episode we see that Chalothon has started to get desperate enough to keep Phaya and Tharn apart that he’s willing to use his magic, he also is willing to kill Tharn to keep him from Phaya.

At this point I think it’s less about the ‘ownership’ of Tharn and more about making sure Phaya suffers heartbreak from not having his lover in his life, considering the Grauda ‘stole’ the Naga’s love from the other Nagas.

So today we’ve seen Phaya accidentally put another wedge between him and Tharn, we’ve seen Chalothon use magic to control Tharn, however small that may have been in the moment. Tharn is also being pushed by his brother and friends towards Phaya, which he is not appreciative of. So now he’s being actively, however underhandedly, pushed closer toward Chalothon. He refuses Phaya’s apology, he’s keeping space between them because he knows he likes Phaya and he thinks his cursed past life means his lovers are all doomed to die.

There’s been a NC scene teased since before the series started to air, that a couple will be together whilst covered in paint, it was teased last week and again this week and was also part of the series trailer. But this weeks teaser for the next episode also shows someone curled up in the shower covered in that same red paint, sobbing into their knees. You never see the faces of these people and the tattoo on Phaya’s back isn’t really seen either, so…

Chalothon is at the art gallery, Tharn is at the art gallery. The Doc is looking very smug and obviously pulling strings. Phaya is being distracted by his family and the fact that he cannot get Tharn to listen to him, you don’t think… That scene couldn’t possibly be between a mind controlled/under the influence Tharn and Chalothon, ya don’t think?

That the person sobbing in the shower naked and covered in paint is Tharn because Doc SA’d him at the art gallery? It’s just too terrible to think, but like, it’s possible. Especially with how Chalothon’s true colours are starting to show, and it would be a direct personal connection to their first case. Tharn’s trauma and Phaya’s need to vengeance, they’d be direct parallels to the SA victims and their captor seeking justice against their abusers.

That’s probably not it, I freaking pray to the QL gods that’s not it, but my mind just had a moment where it was like; what if this terrible thing happened?

So I just had to get it out because if I have to suffer then so do you lol.

i usually give gifts like origami bouquets and other origami pieces, letters, and drawings to my loved ones. rook is naturally, artistically inclined and has a deep love for it so he'd absolutely adore it. what if your letters were all romantically comparing him to the weak quarry you've caught in your fist. entailing deeply strange expressions of affection that most fortunately (or unfortunately?) grasp rook's attention the most. wow..... you just wrote 2 pages dreamily touching on how you'd love to rip his throat out because cannibalism being a metaphor for deep, obsessive, and devoted love is the most apt way to express what you're feeling.... for him, him, ever elusive rook hunt to trust you and bare his throat to you! of course in any case should death come rapping at the door with her decrepit knuckles he'll die by your loving hand instead because is possession in death not the deepest form of connection to you little weirdos. he'll giggle and twirl his hair while rambling about you to vil and vil can't decide if he should flip between deadpan, concerned, or disgruntled or all at once! leaving little notes inside the origami flowers you make entailing your darkest desires for him ever pure because how can they be taboo when they are what you truly feel for him out of trust and loyalty!! he opens a gift box from you and there's a VERY realistic, human pottery heart inside because he's captured your own!!! drawings of you and rook in strange, baroque/renaissance esque compositions where your love is both dreadful and holy. you would consume him on the silver alter as if he were your salvation and the closest thing to god. rook would reciprocate your effort even more!!!! i love being gay... not so much, rook... /silly

Rook would be on a whole other level of vaguely (highly) concerning devotion, and he strikes me as the type to really push the limits of a dynamic. He wants to see just how deep it goes, and so long as he feels like it’s safe(ish) and reciprocal, he’s going to be greedy for more.

On the note of comparing him to your quarry, ABSOLUTELY. Rook regularly fantasizes about death- like, the number of canon tangents he’s gone on about the prospect of being maimed is pretty outlandish on its own. Not to mention when ((BOOK 5 MINOR SPOILER)) he wanted to drink something cursed by Vil supposedly because he wanted to know what it would taste like (though I personally think there was a mix of things going on there, but I digress!). he wants to go all the way to that edge and come back purely for the experience. He’s nearly hedonistic; the only thing that keeps him in check are his responsibilities. I also firmly believe he wants to be chased after- there’s something exhilarating to him about being wanted so deeply that his partner infinitely pursues him. He may have claimed the title of Chaser of Love, but to be coveted? To be loved that intensely? That’s when he’s willing to bare his throat and any sense of self preservation goes out the window. There has to be something there that is deeply personal and trusting for him to toss his typical guard aside.

I just had a thought-

What if Omega's heats were like periods. More specificly, what if omega's heats sometimes just sinc with eatchother.

Like, picture this. Scientists realize that omegas that are pretty close with eachother, whever they are family, friends or work parteners, just have their heats in very close dates and are absolutly incapable of finding a neat explanation as of why. Like, some think it's bc of pack bonds, some say it's a show of trust or some bs, and all that.

And there would be those heat-hotels thingy that would do group prices and multiple-rooming systems bc it's actually makes people's instinct feel better knowing that they aren't alone and have friends and sharing rooms while in heat would become a symbol of trusting and and and-

Well Amphibia fandom got in a Boomer (On Twitter)

Ya it’s disappointing to say the least.

Fans doing stuff like that is to be expected, that side exists in every fandom no matter how much people wanna prevent it, so it’s easy to just ignore that section of the fandom and go about your day. At least that’s how I handle it, y’know, bc otherwise it’s like talking to a wall.

But seeing more people from the crew be outed for stuff like this is what upsets me bc there’s a lot more trust and professionalism you expect from them to be working on a children’s cartoon but then this happens and it completely shatters that. I think this is like 2 or 3 crew members in total now? Correct me if that’s wrong.

This also taints peoples reception of the show which sucks too because the show itself has 0 to do with what the art portrays and is actually a really good story about family and friendship. Anyone who is uncomfortable watching the show now tho is valid, I totally understand.

It’s a rough time right now for the amphibia fandom and I don’t blame anyone for how they feel.
