Listen up, here's my plan. So you know how Jupiter discovered "seventeen previously undocumented realms"? Yeah, apparently no one's claiming those realms, so let's take one over and turn it into a safe relocation spot for cursed children, where they can legally find new homes.

Headcanon: A lesser known piece of Nevermoor custom is to warn a Witness of a emotion packed room before they enter. Rooms where a lot of mourning has been done, rooms where people have died, etc etc, anything that could be overloading to an unprepared witness. Because Witnesses don’t live much in Nevermoor anymore, this custom has been widely forgotten, but Jupiter has shared this with all his staff and the Deucalion’s permanent residents in an effort to keep the polite custom alive.

I love Jack and I love Unit 919, but they never interact and it makes me so sad. Like, yes Jack hates Wunsoc to the core (as he should), but he loves Morrigan and understands her want for the family that Wunsoc gives her. I’m sure he can do the same for the Unit. Personally, I think that Mog should 100% sneak Jack into Wunsoc via the Wundrous Arts (I’m thinking Veil and Weaving if she makes him invisible, or maybe Masquerade him into a Wun (can you even Masquerade someone else? I suppose Squall Masqueraded Morrigan), or maybe have Cadence mesmerize everyone) and he could hang with the Unit and ultimately do some Shenanigans™ in Proudfoot House. 

Anyway here are the dynamics I think Jack would have with the Unitmates (minus Mog, Cadence and Hawthorne, who he has met in cannon) 

Thaddea - Jack doesn’t like Thaddea. She’s very loud and impulsive, things Jack doesn’t like. But he respects her strength and determination. 

Anah - Thinks she’s just a scaredy-cat at first, but comes to love her as a little sister type.

Francis - Jack would love Francis’ cooking and be a very enthusiastic taste tester, but I think he might be annoyed when Francis gets the recipe wrong and gives Jack stage fright, or some other annoying feeling. 

Lam - I’m not quite sure, but I think they’d have a sort of silent respect for each other. 

Mahir - Jack and Mahir will be bffs. I mean Jack would love to be able to swear in other languages, especially if the Graysmark teachers won’t understand what he’s saying! I also think they’re pretty similar, as they both give off older brother vibes and they both can be cool but a little nerdy. 

Arch - This may come as a bit of a surprise, but Jack would definitely vibe with Arch. They both hate their knacks, but are forced to use them (for Wunsoc or to spot wunimals infected with the Hollowpox). It seems as if they are gradually accepting their knacks (hard to say with Arch though, maybe I’m connecting dots that don’t exist). Also (according to my headcannons of Arch) they both lost their parents in a tragedy, and what better to bond over than dead parents? Oh and I bet that Jack hardcore ships Archthorne, he’s always conspiring with Morrigan to set them up.

During times a crisis, Jupiter runs on coffee, and pretty much coffee alone. This means he's constantly swinging between total exhaustion and manic caffeen highs. This leaves him jittery for weeks after the crisis with painful caffeen withdrawal. It's one of the behaviors he's never been able to kick, no matter how much the Deucalion Staff try to help. He knows how problematic the habit is, and tries to stop it before it happens, but he's hardly ever successful.

Okay I got some headcanons to spill for the Nevermoor fandom:

Squall knew Mog's mum. idk how but they knew each other and he knew Mog as a baby, possibly some friendzoning going on

Jack's parents died due to Wunsoc and that's why he doesn't like it very much. Jupiter took him in and raised him from pretty young, like maybe six or seven. He's still super happy for Mog though when she comes home and talks about school and stuff, peak sibling vibes

Lambeth is aroace, or somewhere in that area at least, possibly non binary

Hawthorne is trans, I am right. His parents love and support him completely and help him transition and stuff. The unit is also super supportive of everything

Jupiter first met Squall on a trip to the Republic when he was a bit younger. Squall didn't reveal that he was a Wundersmith for a while (they got very close) and Jupiter felt very betrayed and left (think lovers fighting in the rain scene) and that sent Squall further into his evil spiral, but of course Jupiter saw the "good" side of him and that is why he is so sure that Wundersmiths can be good (yes I'm writing a fic, I'm working on it I promise)

Cadence wears Doc Martins all the time. Yes she gets blisters. Yes she refuses to take them off.

Arch plays the violin for everyone on the hometrain, just stuff like happy birthday (he asks everyone their birthday and puts it on his calendar immediately)

Martha gives everyone cakes and other stuff like that when they're sad or upset

Frank tries to give good relationship advice but it's never actually "good" more just "have you tried stabbing?" stuff

hihi it’s been awhile (a few days but like that’s close enough)

anah and morrigan know how to sew, morrigan not very well but anah shares a few pointer, anah knows how to sew because of the nuns

also for some reason i used to imagine lam as pale, silvery blonde, grey eyes????? i just?? ignored the description??

Anah’s stitches are clean, precise, almost medical in nature, no matter what material she’s sewing.

She finds it almost therapeutic, in a way, the repetitive motions and attention to detail. If she focuses enough, you can’t really see the stitches. She hides them within the patterns on the fabric, threading and unthreading seams to near-perfection.

Mog likes sewing. She really does, but she’s mostly self taught, having to stitch her own ripped clothes more often than not, lest she be berated for doing anything other than sit perfectly still. She evolved from clumsy stitching, meant more to hold things together than look pretty, to sturdy, if a little uneven, mending.

Anah and Mog probably bond over that, at least a little. Morrigan probably started giving embroidering a shot, just to have something to do, maybe to understand the Art Of Weaving better, to have something physical to liken it to. Anah would help, hesitant at first, still not entirely convinced that Morrigan is part of her team, the little family that Unit 919 is supposed to be. But they’d learn from each other, share little jokes, soft spoken conversations as they sew and embroider, side by side.

Perhaps they weave a friendship.
