i have 35 completed fics on ao3, all written in 2017! there’s also a few that are only on tumblr because i never cross-posted them. so yeah, i wrote a lot of fic last year. total word count:

307,926 on ao3. wow that’s quite a lot actually!

the raven cycle; the foxhole court (aftg); check please! oh, and i also had a jean-centric snk fic on ao3 that i started in 2016 and finished in 2017, and then later deleted lol (i STILL want to write a jean/mikasa thing, i potentially have an idea). mainly trc and tfc though.

ummm, sort of? i attempted AUs which I hadn’t before. but i did predominantly stay in my comfort zone (i really like it there).

i mainly want to do the ronan story i’ve been slowly working on, we’ll see what happens after that.

best story of the year?

of mine? i don’t knowww it’s all very subjective isn’t it. umm, again, this one because it started from a small drabble when i was in a mood and then grew into like an 8k soft sad pile of fluff but i just really love it? but also i like I hope you had the time of your life because i like to imagine that ronan actually showed up to adam’s graduation.

most popular story of the year?

The Road to Nowhere has the most kudos so I guess that one :)

story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

i don’t think that any are especially under-appreciated, there’s always going to be some that get more attention than others i guess, but it’s up to a reader to decide what they want to read and what they don’t. i tend to find that fics not involving the most popular ships are more likely to go under the radar but that’s to be expected and i don’t take it personally, they’re there if people want to find them :)

most fun story to write:

TBH some of the tumblr prompts were super fun? i LOVED writing this one especially. also i have a VERY soft spot for this because i got to write adam singing to mr. mister.

story with the single sexiest moment:

ahahahaha, i cannot write sexy to save my life. i have two fics that sort of allude to sexy times VERY briefly (this one and this one) but that is the best i can offer you lol. i am a ball of fluff at heart.

sweetest story:

how about all of them ha. Anything to make you smile is pretty damn sweet, but again, the tumblr prompts were all super soft and sweet. this one is my fave pynch one, and this one is (probably) my fave andreil one.

”holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you!” story:

i actually don’t think i have one that fits this bill? i guess there’s moments in the road to nowhere but honestly it’s no worse than anything that happens in canon.

story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters most & most unintentionally telling story:

oooh that’s an interesting question. probably yes, coach because it gave me an opportunity to look at characters through wymack’s perspective which was so worth doing. it’s not my best written fic probably, but it was for sure one of the most rewarding.

hardest story to write:

the road to nowhere at times just because i had no real outline or plan, just a very basic idea so i did struggle sometimes to link parts of it together. and also hands open, heart open because it was a prompt that was so far out of my comfort zone that at first i wasn’t sure if i’d be able to do anything with it. but i’m glad i did because i sort of love it now even though it’s a mess :)

biggest disappointment:

i don’t really have one. it was a pretty good fanfic year :)

biggest surprise: 

that anyone actually read anything i wrote and the wonderful responses i’ve been given! i love you guys <3

who would it be? why? Oh goodness. I want to say my favorite character but I don’t think my favorite character and I would actually be friends haha. I think Simon from Simon Vs and I would actually be really good friends. We have very similar personalities and interests.  4. who was your favorite musician/band growing up? I laugh every day. I have zero laugh control and I am generally a positive person. I cried last reading the A Place Called Home fic. I sobbed like a baby.

What is your favourite halloween costume you’ve done? one year we did a slasher movie theme and i'm not a very crafty person but the fake blood was fun. that previous year i made like eight tie dye t-shirts and we went as hippies and that's about it for my efforts in costumes. What is your dream job? in it! software engineer. Who is your current celebrity crush? current? nah, but back in the day i had it bad for Zachary Quinto. What are three movies that make you cry? Kimi no Na wa without fail, American Beauty destroyed me when i first watched it, and i got looks in the theater for gross sobbing like five times during Wonder Woman. What is your ideal weekend? i do it all the time but getting a coffee and a sandwich from my favorite local mom n pop deli and watching slam poetry. What are three things you couldn’t live without? the freedom to write, the freedom to drive, shit just like some free time to daydream. How would your friends describe you? lol this depends on who you ask but probably pontificating, maybe a combination of lucky and unlucky, and "wow she described herself as pontificating what an asshole." What song will always make you dance? the first time i heard I Don't Feel Like Dancin’ by Scissor Sisters i said "this sounds like a song that would be used in an opening montage where the main character gets out of bed and gets ready in the morning while dancing all around their house" and then i shit you not the next week had Kate Walsh jamming to that very same song in an episode of Private Practice and yeah that song's a bop i don’t blame them. 1. What is your favorite guilty pleasure book? Summer Sisters by Judy Blume - though I try really hard not to feel guilty about anything I read.

2. What did you want to be when you grew up when you were a kid? I think I used to tell people that I wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid but never, ever seriously considered it.

4. Physical book, ebook, or audiobooks? All three. I have an elaborate reading system where I have all three in progress at the same time depending on where I am and what I am doing.

5. What accomplishment are you most proud of? Getting promoted to a senior analyst within a year of starting a new position in a new department (after a personal failure in my previous job)

6. Is there a common thread with your favorite fictional characters? My most recent favorite characters all have a strong desire to leave the place they came from, generally feel unknown and were all created by Maggie Stiefvater. Hmm.

1. what are your current top 3 favorite fics?

idk if you know this already but i don’t read a lot of fic?? i only ever read one shots?? and i’m honestly so sorry that i don’t. i know i should, and i want to. it’s just that i’m lazy

2. what’s your biggest fear?

hmm not to be fake deep and all that, but d/ying without seeing anything. i want to see the world and thinking of not being able to do that before i perish brings me to tears more often than not

3. if you had to pick one fictional character to be your best friend in real life, who would it be? why?

come on. i can’t give you just one. and to say the gangsey is a cop out. (lol i’m so bad i’m sorry) so i say karou and zuzana from daughter of smoke and bone, they’re just so.. real and relatable and hilarious. i love them so much. 

4. who was your favorite musician/band growing up?

i rly liked fall out boy (ofc), rihanna, onerepublic when i was younger. i’m sure i liked plenty more but i can’t think of other ones rn

5. if you had to choose your last meal, what would it be?

this one’s tough! hmm.. i’d like my mother’s dinuguan (don’t google it if you want this friendship in tact) and her crab meat, and ginger biscuits+tea, shrimp! lots of it, mojos, stuffed crust pizza, then ice cream, coffee crumble or mint chip or pistachio, whichever. and i shall pass on happily

6. what are your top 3 hobbies/favorite pastimes?

1) reading (does it still count even if i’m not doing much of it these days?), 2) painting my nails, 3) spending hours upon hours on youtube

7. would you rather live in the city or country?

country. all the way

yes?? but not all of this *gestures to self*. i like to ‘spread out’ my ‘personalities’ so that no one person knows everything about me
