Currently learning a new language
And
Fuck
It's hard
But I keep telling myself "I'm a toddler, scratch that, a baby, learning a new language, hearing it for the first time, trying to piece the words together"
It takes native speakers months, no years, to learn their native language.
I've been at it for a month
I'm not gonna get it in a month
It's gonna take me years
But if I'm willing to put the work in.........

Dedication or Sad?
I am learning a new language (high valyrian) which was solely created for the ASOIAF universe, so that I can write accurate sentences in my fanfics because online translators are not very good.
Is that me being sad or dedication to the cause?

When the thing you most love doing is learning something new every day … I have found this wee fella in a small store and I git it. I am curious to see how much Hindi is different from Sanskrit.

Today I learned that Japanese students learn kanji over the course of 9 years (from 6 to 15)
I was stressing about how much I was struggling to learn Kanji, but it take native speakers 9 whole years to learn it so imma stop tripping about it.
We're not native learners, so it's obviously gonna be harder for us, and that's fine. It's a marathon not a sprint.

So here's the jist: I'm currently studying linguistics and am working on creating the Edenian language, as well as fleshing out the culture. So far, all Netherealm has given us is incomprehensible gibberish, but I actually want to turn it into something!!!
Is that something y'all would be interested in me sharing? Let me know!!!! :

What I love about Star Wars is the influence it gives me to create my own species and language for my own stories
I love space as a whole so Star Wars gets me back into the technical side of space
But more than that, as I’m starting up and practicing drawing people again, I hope to one day be able to draw the new characters that are in my head, that are only described in writing, that are Star Wars influenced but also my own take to them
This is why I love Star Wars
