This 48x30 inch acrylic painting is available directly from @koyman gallery right here in Ottawa! I’m so happy I managed to clean most of the house today! It’s been almost two weeks and with 4 cats one dog and 4 foster kittens you can imagine what it looked like. Covid was rough but I’m finally on the mend I tested negative yesterday. I’m wiped though I’ll be sleeping my 8:30 pm. For da Vinci Oil on canvas 60 x 48 inches; 152 x 122 cm I was thinking about the da Vinci quote: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Who knows if he really said this! I like to be super mindful when I’m over complicating things and how to get back to a pure state in the work. You have to have faith when you paint over a passage you love that you are getting to a better place in the painting. Admittedly I am by nature complicated in the way I approach my work but I also need to temper that with simplicity. It’s always a balancing act.
