It angers me so much that people are comparing Johnny Depp to Blake Jenner.

To start, the only comparison they have is they, as men, both came out about being abused by their female partners at least a year after being accused. And that’s it. That’s literally the only thing the have in common. Here’s why they’re different.

First of all, Melissa was honest from the start. She admitted that yes, she did hit Blake in self defence and she hates that she became that. Blake acts like she would attack him over nothing. Her testimony is also consistent. While married to Blake, she was often seen with his friends and not her own which *completely* debunks Blake saying he was isolated himself. Melissa also only spoke of one injury - that also debunks Amber - about the time an iPhone was thrown at her face and she nearly lost her eye. Blake admits to doing this.

Basically, while Melissa shows no proof, the things she says are consistent from what we’ve seen. Blake also shows no proof, but he throws Melissa under the bus and tries to paint her to look bad while deflecting blame away from him.

Now, Johnny and Amber. Amber did have evidence. Flimsy evidence and highly edited evidence, but at first glance it seems credible. But when you look at it, it falls apart. Her injuries aren’t consistent. She also *has no injuries* from times she describes horrifically violent attacks. She also deflects blame from her and onto Johnny. Basically, Amber did what Blake did except she threw in some filmsy photos.

Johnny showed evidence. And like Melissa, the time he documents the abuse? It’s consistent. You can look up what he said, and see evidence of some kind. Johnny also didn’t paint himself like a perfect victim. He admitted his fuck ups. He admitted he relapsed. He showed texts where he would insult Amber in really bad ways.

He and Melissa both showed and admitted bad parts of themselves that resulted as an account of their abuse. Amber denies she ever did anything wrong and she was a perfect innocent person even when evidence is shown in her face that she did wrong. Blake did admit to the phone incident because he’s smarter than Amber and knows he can’t wiggle out of it, but he deflected blame onto Melissa. Just like Amber did to Johnny. And disgustingly, Blake is using Johnny to try and discredit Melissa. I’ve seen so many people say “remember what happened with JD!” after Blake came forward, ignoring the reason people believed Johnny was due to the audio tapes where Amber admitted to beating him and getting mad if he didn’t hit her back. And Amber also uses Melissa because they both had an iPhone thrown at the face story. Except Melissa showed unintentionally that Amber lied about that.

It was around the same year so it would’ve been roughly the same model of iPhone as Melissa’s injury occurred 2015, Amber’s “injury” was in 2016. So it would likely be an iPhone 6/6s. When Blake throw the phone at Melissa, her nose broke. Her face was lacerated and blood was covering her face. Her eye was bulging out of her head and she nearly lost it. Her eyesight is permanently damaged and her pupil is permanently enlarged.

What happened to Amber? She got a perfectly iPhone shaped bruise around her eye. Which turned into a small scrape on her cheek bone (below the bruise that disappeared that was around her eye) and vanished the day after. She had no permenant damage after having the phone that caused so much damage to Melissa hurled at her “like a baseball pitcher”.

Now unless Amber is made of steel, and should take over Melissa’s role as Supergirl, or Johnny is incredibly weak, it’s not possible to have absolutely no damage. I’m not saying she has to have the same injury, but seriously? That would cause noticeable damage that wouldn’t heal in less than a week. Amber would later use Melissa’s story of nearly losing her eye in the recent case agianst the Sun newsspaper in the UK which she never shared before. I should also note, in this case, it was revealed Amber stole many victims stories, including her former victim’s rape story.

But despite this, Amber uses Melissa. She followed Melissa on instagram after Melissa shared her story and they became mutuals on there. Melissa even showed support by liking a post to Amber after Amber used the paparazzi to play the victim when Johnny’s lawyer was giving his final statement in the Sun case. I have no doubt Amber manipulated Melissa into believing she was the real victim all along and used their similar story as a bonding tool.

Johnny and Melissa have far more in common. Melissa was just lucky enough she told her story before Blake could. She was lucky she could tell the world what was done to her. Amber and Blake are both the same in the way they try to discredit their victims and try to be as perfect as possible. The only difference is, Amber ran to the newspapers before Johnny.

We need to stop believing the person who came first because as we’ve seen with Amber Heard? It discredits everyone. Johnny had to show so much evidence to prove he was right. And he still isn’t believed by everyone. When Blake came forward, people assumed Johnny was just like him and was faking it on the sole basis that Melissa came first without reading his post (if they did they would see the big differences). It also lead to people not believing Melissa since “well, Amber lied so maybe she’s lying too!” despite her admitting to fighting back.

Amber Heard has destroyed so much for domestic abuse victims. Because of her, people are wary to believe victims right away in case it’s another Amber (and victims had a hard enough time being believed in the first place) and she’s also given abusers the perfect card if their victim leaves like Johnny did. Accuse them of abuse first. She’s given her fellow abusers a way to destroy their victims even more since so many people believe the person who called it first. Since it’s assumed if you defend yourself after public accusations? Then you’re just deflecting from your own abuse or you’re just trying to abuse your victim even more.

Amber Heard is a disgusting beast of a woman who has made everything infinitely more difficult for actual victims of abuse.
