Pairing: Tanjiro Kamado X Sibling!Reader Nezuko Kamado X Sibling!Reader

Summary: You’re a known sword user among all of the Hashira but they had no idea who your siblings are.

“What?” You asked as you waved your hand at the bird flapping around your head.

“You're the one who asked me to keep an eye on your siblings.” The bird reminded you as he landed on your shoulder.

“What happened?” You asked, pulling your sword out of the demon flicking the blood onto the floor as you waited for him to speak.

“They’ve been taken to headquarters for a trial.” He answered and you looked at him.

“They’re all there?” You asked.

“They are.” He confirmed and you sheathed the sword before turning in the direction of the headquarters, you weren’t far but you knew that it was still going to take you a while to get there, you just needed them to hold on until then.

Tanjiro had always felt that he was being watched, he could never figure out from where but when he woke up in the presence of the Hashira, that feeling had left, which only added to the unease that he felt, he didn’t know where Nezuko was and he felt completely alone, he didn’t know what to do. Tanjiro remembered that you were always good in these situations but he hadn’t seen you in years, you’d been traveling before everyone was killed, he had no way to contact you he wasn’t even sure that you knew what had happened. 

Tanjiro’s attention was drawn back to the colorful characters in front of him, everything was happening so fast he wasn’t even sure that knew what they were saying but he was again distracted by the feeling of being watched, he tried to turn his head in the direction that it seemed to be coming from but the people in front of him commanded so much attention he found himself looking back to them every time one of them talked, information was thrown at him from all directions until the leader arrived, that was when there seemed to be more structure to the meeting but still they approached Nezuko like the enemy goading her to attack, Tanjiro tried to move but the Snake Hashira landed a well aimed elbow in his back warning him not to try any breathing techniques until he wanted a burst lung. Tanjiro saw the black shadow move into the house toward the Wind Hashira and Nezuko, he saw him get kicked away, his sword still in the box, it was lifted by whoever had kicked him away “Little brother I remember warning you to stay out of trouble the last time that I saw you.” He recognised the voice, the figure threw the sword that they had just picked up at the wall behind the Wind Hashira. “You remember what I said when you met me? I wanted to learn to protect my family, so you’ll need to get through me before you hurt either one of them.” 

Your eyes moved around the garden taking in each of the Hashira before landing on Tomioka “Tomioka I owe you my gratitude, for protecting my family in my absence.” You said before looking back to Sanemi “you feel so strongly about this so knock down the only wall standing in front of you and what you want to prove.” 

“You’re not supposed to be here.” He sneered as he pulled the sword out of the wall.

“I will not abandon my family to be in your favor… Not any one of you.” You said as your eyes moved to the others.

“No one asked that of you.” The Master spoke and your eyes moved to him for the first time since you had gotten there.

“No but it was expected because of their status.” You reminded him as you took out your sword and lifted it to defend yourself and your sister, before anything could happen the door of the small box behind you opened, your eyes didn’t move from the man in front of you as Nezuko rose to stand behind you.

“See she comes out for the blood.” Sanemi said as you tensed ready for a fight but instead of Sanemi moving, Nezuko wrapped her arms around your waist hugging you, you smiled as you let one of your hands drop to rest on her head.

“She has no intention of hurting you.” You argued the light bouncing off of your sword as you dropped your guard slightly. The room was stunned into silence.

“Tell me what happened.” The Master ordered.

“Even though she had been stabbed three times and Sanemi stands bleeding in front of her, the Demon has hugged (Y/N) instead.” Hinaki explained, you looked over to see that Giyu at some point had helped Tanjiro get away from Obanai.

“See undeniable proof that Nezuko will not harm a human.” The Master spoke and you looked down at her and smiled.

“You're gonna go with Tanjiro okay?” You asked after hearing Shinobu say that she would take Tanjiro back to her mansion and allow him to heal there. Nezuko looked over at Tanjiro and nodded before climbing into the box where you closed the lid and stood it up moving towards your younger brother. You took his face in your hands “are you okay?” 

“I’m fine.” He answered with a bright smile on his face, your eyes moved over the cuts on his face and the blood on his forehead.

“I never got to talk to you before you knocked yourself out but I promised Nezuko that I would be back with a way to turn her human again.” You explained “I had to leave before you woke up, the night that it all happened I was too far away to save our family but when I got there you were both still alive, I don’t often fight these guys but I’ve done it twice for you two so please stay out of trouble yeah?” 

“I’ll try.” He promised and you smiled leaning down and pressing your forehead to his before lifting your hand the bird that had warned you before landing on your hand.

“Unfortunately there will be no way to be able to get a message to me in an emergency but he can get me any message that you need and he’ll always be close.” You explained as you put your hand closer to Tanjiro and the bird hopped onto his shoulder.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

“I’ve been looking for ways to help Nezuko, I’ve made people very angry. For now it would be more dangerous for me to travel with you so please be careful okay?” You asked.

“I promise.” He smiled again before you pulled him into a bone crushing hug and sent him on his way before turning to leave.

“You have nothing else to say?” Sanemi asked.

“Is there anything else needed from me?” You asked.

“No.” The Master answered.

“Then I have one thing to say.” You said as you looked at Giyu.

“Giyu, should you ever need it, I am in debt to you.” Then just as you had appeared in a shadow you disappeared in one too.

KNY HCs - A Surprise Kiss! Part 2

Prompt: You give them a kiss unexpectedly; how do they react, when they like you back?

A/N- Next part is here!!! Sorry i struggled to get this part out. This part includes Genya, Nezuko, Obanai, Mitsuri, Gyomei, Tengen, and Muichiro. Let me know if you guys would be interested in a part featuring demons (especially Upper Moons and whatnot). Anyways, this was really fun! Please enjoy! 💗💗💗

Content warning: some implied steaminess for some of the Hashira, and spoilers for the newest season (Sword Village). Proceed with caution if you haven't watched/read ahead! 💀💗💀

Genya

He has a hard time around people who are typically femme, but it literally wouldn't matter who or what you were: because you're still his type.

The second you get within 5 ft, he's blushing. The second you touch, his veins are gonna burst in his skull. The second that touch becomes a kiss...

Genya.exe has stopped working.

He is absolutely stunned into silence. He makes no move to continue the kiss or move away. But you seem to be able to tell that he didn't mind it. Not ONE bit.

You would take his hand, apologize for being too forward, and probably make yourself scarce around him. You figure this would be best if you really did overwhelm him.

It would take quite a few days, but similar to Sanemi, he confronts you head on. Whether it's grabbing you by your haori, or slamming his arms on either side of your head... Hes got you trapped. Even though his face is still BEET red...

"I-I don't understand yet... wh-why you'd do that to a guy like me... but..." He would hesitate for a moment, before planting a kiss on your cheek.

" But... I'll try... to become a guy worthy of your kiss."

Even if you try and reassure him, or persuade him into thinking he's a million bucks, he will go over the moon to impress you, protect you, etc. He wants to be better than what you want him to be: he wants to be your equal.

And while it certainly takes him a while to loosen up, his kisses are some of the sweetest and most sincere. He would try to hold your face, every time. He would never truly want to let you go of you and your warm cheeks.

Nezuko

"Hmmm...~ Hmm-hmmm-- mmm?"

Nezuko, who is humming and fixing her hair, is surprised when you kiss her. She'd blink a few times, her cheeks glistening with a rosy blush. She still struggles with most words, but smiles warmly to you.

"Th...tha...! Thank... you... Y/...N-san!"

You practically scream with delight. This would be the first time you heard her say your name!!!

Like many humans, Nezuko is very protective of you. But you find that she hovers around you a little more recentky, similar to how she treats Tanjiro. Almost as if you're a guide, interpreter, or just a person she can confide in, she'll often reach out to be near you. Whether it's holding your pinky with hers, tugging on your haori, or even grabbing your hand, she likes to stay in close proximity, especially if she can make physical connection with you somehow.

She sometimes struggles (mentally) with being close to you, especially in fear that her fangs may injure you, but her kisses are short and sincere. Similar to Shinobu, she would kiss you most anywhere but your lips publically... but every once in a while, you're blessed with direct kisses.

"T...thank goodness... Y-You like me too... Y/N-san...!

Obanai

Eyes narrowed with steely focus, he would be absorbed in his work, or freshly sheathing his sword. You roughly grasp him by the collar, forcing him to finally look your way.

"What is it you're doi--mmphm?!"

When do you finally get him to shut up? ONLY when you're kissing him. Even with a kiss over his bandages, Obanai flushes vividly, pushing you away. He turns away, checking his bandages hastily.

"NEVER surprise me like that!! You're lucky I didn't have a chance to react properly...!" You were about to apologize, when you see his shoulders relax," hah.... the bandages didn't move, after all..." The relief that floods his voice almost makes you want to cry. You were trying not to pity him, knowing he had his reasons to hide his face. But you wish he didn't feel the desire to keep those bandages on... or better yet, the shame he felt when they came off.

You place a hand on his shoulder, making him tense up.

"Obanai... next time I kiss you... if you're okay with it, i... I wouldn't mind it if it were without your bandages on."

That statement alone has him wide eyed, staring at you with disbelief," I... I don't..." For once, his stoic expression and tone is replaced with one of unease and uncertainty.

"I... I don't know if I'm ready for... that..." he would admit quietly," But... I appreciate the sentiment. I truly do."

You'd smile up/down to him, and place a kiss on his cheek instead," Whenever you're ready. I could wait a thousand years, if you'd have me..." Obanai squints at you, bluntly replying," We'd both be dead by then..."

You smile, winking," Then in the next life, maybe?"

Obanai would flush quietly as you'd walk away, reaching up to gently press the spot you last kissed him at,"... I see... maybe so, Y/N-san... Maybe so...."

BLESS you, if you ever do kiss him without his bandages on. Though his scars may have surprised you at first, it doesn't affect how sweet or chaste his kisses are. And once you receive them in earnest, they never stop... 

Oh, and the over protectiveness with you? Multiply it by 20. People aren't allowed to breathe the same air you do unless he allows it. And your missions, from henceforth, are either accompanied with or monitored by himself or Mitsuri. Almost NO exceptions.

Mitsuri

"Y/N! Y/N! Look here, look here!!" Surely, Kanroji has something absolutely adorable to show you. You turn to her quickly, pushing your hair back out of your face.

"What is it, Kanroj--"

The both of you turned too quickly, causing your lips to meet in the middle. Immediately, the two of you pull away from the other. Mitsuri whines, bowing her head rapidly.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry!!! I-I didn't mean to!!"

You have to grasp Mitsuri by her shoulders, before she listens to you again," Kanroji-san!!! It's okay, I promise!!! W-We're friends, after all... accidents happen."

Mitsuri's expression changes slightly, her lip quivering," R-Right... friends..."

You go back to your task at hand, not picking up on her disheartened cue. You notice her squirming beside you after a few moments, making you concerned.

"Mitsuri? Are you ok--"

Your lips meet again. This time... on purpose. Mitsuri clasps your cheeks with both hands, planting a fat kiss on your lips, before pulling away.

"Th-There!!! That one wasn't an accident!!! And that's going to be the first of many... I-- I--! Aaaahh, I don't want to just be friends, Y/Nnnnnn!!! Not anymore!!!" Mitsuri basically wails, making you smile sweetly.

You lean over again to kiss her, soothing her mild tantrum if only for a moment," I dont think I want to be 'just friends' either, Mitsuri... so we're partners now. Okay?"

Mitsuri would nod rapidly, mentally swearing herself to you, for protection and for marriage," Deal!!!!"

She's already planning your wedding. She hints at what kind of ceremony she prefers, or flowers she'd like to have in her decore... little does she know, you've already been saving up for something big... maybe her birthday could double as your wedding day?

But for now, that's wishful thinking. For now, you're quite alright with sneaking quick, heated kisses before major missions, and cuddling your tired, full partner after she gorges on her favorite food.

Neither of you mind. But the both of you know that you're actively working towards a future where there's more to your relationship than sweet kisses and embraces.

Gyomei

In a deep, meditative state, Gyomei sat practically motionless as you quietly approached him. Due to this, he hadn't heard you or your sweet giggles are you inched closer. You had always been his number one, secret admirer... and seeing him so content and serene made you want to kiss him. He just looked so beautiful, dangit!

Even with him sat before you, Gyomei was MUCH larger than you... but no matter!

Nimbly, you were able to wiggle closer, admiring the calm breathing of the Stone Pillar. It wasn't until you brushed your lips against his that his eyes instinctively fluttered open. As if from a deep slumber, Gyomei blinks a few times, dazed," Oh... I'm sorry, is this... Y/N?"

You nod and hum, knowing he knew your voice all too well," Guilty as charged~" Gyomei's eyes watered as he heard a genuine, airy laugh leave you, his hands folding neatly into his lap.

"Ahh... so the pining wasn't one sided, after all...," Gyomei sighs, as if relieved. You blink and audibly swallow, your face heating up.

"I-I guess not, Gyomei-san," you reply in surprise, reaching your hand down to brush a stray tear from his cheek. Had you known he had liked you back, you would have kissed him MUCH sooner...

Gyomei smiles brilliantly, tilting his head up as if to look at you,"... if that is the case, my friend... if you don't mind, I'd like you to join me by my side."

You have to calm yourself down as he pats the space beside him. You take him up his request, sitting and scooting closer until your knee bumped his. You feel a large, warm arm wrap around you, pulling you closer until your head was against his chest. Your face burned as Gyomei chuckled.

"...thank you for taking the initiative, Y/N-san. I admire your forwardness. I just wish I could have made that first kiss more..."

"Special?" You finished, Gyomei nodding back quietly.

"W-Well, that's okay-- I already feel like kissing you, on its own, is very special. But..." You sit up, before crawling into his lap. Gyomei would tense up, flushing as a coy grin makes it way to your face.

"I think we can make the next kiss particularly special... if you'll have me."

Gyomei couldnt reply verbally, as the impulse to kiss you tenderly overshadowed the flowery words and praise he wanted to give you.

His kisses were many, and they would be mostly reserved for your cheeks and temples. But most of all, your kisses would be an assured way to make his heart race. Due to his blindness, kisses feel electrifying to him. Making your kisses together all the more special and intimate for him. He loves you to bits, and would never pass up on a chance to engage with you, especially through touches and those sweet, featherlight kisses. Even if others may be close by...~

Tengen

Little to anyone's surprise, Tengen is a HUGE flirt. It didn't matter if it was a stranger or his bestie Rengoku: he would relentlessly do and say things that would tetter on raunchy or sappy. This, however, was something you were used to. And at times, you'd welcome it.

Tengen, many times, had made jokes about you becoming his fourth spouse. Quote him: "Afterall, who said polygamy had a 4 person limit~?"

You'd normally roll your eyes, and playfully shove him, not knowing what his other spouses thought of you. But after getting to know him more, and even being over to his estate a few times, the jokes felt more... sincere. As if he were wanting to propose more properly.

So finally, after a particularly rough Hashira meeting, Tengen would look at you again, with a serene look in his eyes," ...Y'know, Y/N... if you ever considered settling down more properly, or commitment in general... I think you'd make a really good spouse. The others think so, too." He would grin, nudging you playfully," Theres always room for one more, yknow~ "

And, after a few quiet moments, you hadn't yet replied. No shoving, no tickling, just... a heavy sigh. Tengen starts to worry he offended you... until you pull him down/up for a kiss.

Tengen, being the good man he is, immediately leans into it, eyes closing on their own. When you finally decide to part for air, you're absolutely beaming.

"Well, while I can't accept your 'proposal' without the others consent... I wouldn't mind being courted. Normally, yknow..." Tengen looks practically speechless, as your arms snake around to hang on his neck.

" How about we start slow... maybe dinner at your place, next time we meet? Im sure the 5 of us have a lot to talk about before we take it too far..."

Tengen, surprised that his forwardness may have actually paid off, smiles tenderly. He pulls away from you, only to take one of your hands. He guides it to his lips and kisses you knuckles, running his thumb in circles along your warm skin.

"Suma, Hina, Makio, and I... we'd be honored, Y/N. Let's shoot for next weekend, then."

Muichiro

"Huh...? What did you want to see me about, again?" Mui would probe, following behind you.

"I-I just wanted to go somewhere more private, to tell you something." You'd reply evenly, a steady blush spreading across your face.

"Is that so... lead the way then, Y... ahh, sorry, Y/N-san." You roll your eyes. Surely he hadn't forgotten your name so easily. Maybe he was teasing you?

As you finally get to a more private area, you turn towards him, face heated," Muichiro... I have to say it."

The mist hashira would look to you, eyes widening," Ahh... did I forget something again...? Sorry... I still struggle... even now, i guess," he would admit, making your knitted brows soften.

"N-No... you didn't forget anything... but..." You lean forward, trying to kiss him on the cheek, before he recoils quickly. You blink in surprise, face twisting in regret. Oh shit... so you were rejected huh... You can't muster any words as he looks at you, bewildered.

"...were you trying to kiss me?"

You were flustered, assuming your hunch was correct, but you nod shamefully. Then, Muichiro pulls you in by your wrist, placing a soft kiss to your lips. You gasp, taken by surprise even as Muichiro lets you go.

"...sorry... I feel like I would be able to treasure your kiss better... if I initiated it. I hope that's alright with you."

The both of you are perfectly flush now, but you smile warmly back to him, pulling him in for a hug," Well, if you ever forget... I can always kiss you again?" Muichiro would have an idea, leaning his head on your shoulder," Mmm... I think I'm in need of a reminder."

this is a very old draft, but i wanted to finish this for the new ds ep! so spoilers to those who haven’t seen the anime or read the manga! I kind of cut sum stuff out to avoid making it longer. hi there anon bud uh hope you’re doing okay!

you screamed in horror as nezuko hungrily lunges at the innocent injured woman with the intent to devour her. as fast as your aching legs can take you, you jumped onto nezuko’s back, and slot the blade between her teeth to prevent her from hurting the poor woman. you cringed as her teeth nearly sinks into your (f/c) blade. you forgot how strong she was!

“ nezuko, please calm down!! fight it! you have to resist it! “ blinded by her intense hunger, nezuko hustles around, growling, screaming as she tries to remove you from her body. you held on tighter, squeezing your eyes shut as you desperately beg for the girl to snap out of it.

“ don’t worry! [name]’s here! your brother will be here soon too, we’ll make it okay! just—“ you gasp as your back harshly met with the celling. crying in pain as the two of you fell back to the floor with you still on nezuko’s back, refusing to let go, you desperately prayed that tanjirou would hurry back and help you calm her down. “ nezuko, please! you mustn’t give in!-“ in attempt to get you off her body, she throws herself into the thin wall, crashing into another room full of bystanders. the angry demon blindly clawed at you repeatedly and managed to scratch your cheek and ear. “ ow, ow! shit you feisty minion, you’re scratching me! “ the bystanders in the room cowered on fear, stupidly watching the scene unfold. “ why the hell are all of you standing around for, run! is everyone here just stupid bimbos and stupid horny bums?!-“

abruptly, nezuko braces herself and jumps through the ceiling to another floor. you coughed horsely at the dust filling your throat and you’re starting to lose the remainder of your strength. the grip you managed to hold around her waist weakens. the bystanders around you screamed at the sight of you and nezuko coming through the floor. much to your luck, daki who seemed severely burnt, angrily stalks towards you two with her sashes ready to strike. you cursed under your breath, you can’t just let nezuko go with innocents near by! in a flash, tengen appears beside you, marveled by nezuko’s transformation. he comments on her violent behavior completely ignoring the demon behind him.

“ tengen! you lame ass wannabe sissy, can’t you see the weight of the situation here? help me out! “ the hashira shrugs, uncharacteristically unbothered by your insult. “ what do you want me to do about it? it’s quite a shame that kamado boy is having you babysit his own sister. not very manly of him when he talked so big in front of master. why not sing her a lullaby? make it quick, the fight isn’t over yet. “ before you can curse out the man for his lack of support, growling, nezuko suddenly lunges herself backwards, smashing through the wall and throwing you two out of the building. your stomach dropped at the gut-wrenching realization that it was going to be a hard fall.

your body hit the ground roughly, knocking the wind out of your lungs. your vision filled with black spots as you peer up at the cloudless night sky in exhaustion. your consciousness is slipping, nezuko’s violent growls and grunts of anger grew more and more distant. at this point, nezuko is halfway from finally ripping herself from your body until a familiar voice booms from the distance.

“ (name)! please, hold nezuko off for just a little more, i’m almost there! she’s trying to get away! “ snapping back to reality, you swiftly snatched nezuko back to your front by the blade still pressed between her teeth. she aggressively reaches her hand out towards the building and you followed suit, grabbing ahold of it in a tender manner. you take a deep yet shaky breath, leaning down towards her ear and whispered, “ it’s time to simmer down now, your big brother tanjirou is going to be here soon. we’ll all be together again.“ the warmth in your voice, your tender words, and the way your hand is grasping hers strikes a familiar nostalgia within her.

her aggression seizes and much to your surprise, she bursts out crying. you released the sword from her mouth and tossed it to the side to comfort her until she reduces to a small weeping child asleep in your arms. the sound of rapid footsteps approach and tanjirou bends down next to you to drink in the sight in front of him. he places his calloused hand on her temple gingerly. “ are you alright (name)? thank you, thank you for looking out for her when i couldn’t. if i only got here sooner. .”

“ don’t start with ifs now, tanjirou. tengen and the upper moon is still inside. “

• after that you two spend some more time outside until you both finally got ready for bed.

• she doesn’t seem like she’d be too touchy with her s/o, but a little pda here and there is fine (as long as it’s an appropriate time).

• once y’all are dating, she’s way more open with you, and she expects you to be the same way too.

• overall, i think she’d be a pretty good gf.

The Meeting

Tanjiro and you met in the Hashira meeting, you looked so flawless he sure was mesmerized by your ethereal doe eyes as a small bainda(Mangtika) graced your face. 

You never spoke once in the meeting just greeting the master with a bow as you looked up and joined your hands (Namaste) and gave a sweet smile.

Well, After the meeting Tanjiro had so many questions about you, it was surely quite the first meeting as you looked at the boy dazed, you were introduced as the divine hashira and how your breathing was a branch of fire and wind breathing by the Kakushi. He introduced you with such powerful and arrogant words explaining how you were the youngest after muichiro making you snicker as you landed your doe eyes on him. For a moment he thought he had just seen heaven. He looked up and he saw you and Kanao lying in your lap as you hummed light music.

When you first went to visit the three slayers and greeted them, "Good Morning, Are you guys feeling okay?" You said with your melodious voice, it was so calm that Zenitsu was on cloud nine from both looking at you and hearing your voice.

Tnjiro on the other hand was mesmerized by you as he replied with a small nod as you smiled.

Okay, so I have a feeling Tanjiro would be soo curious about you and your culture what jewelry is that? how does your breathing technique work? How do you fight with your sword having a curvy tip? Like basically many questions which you would be very pleased to answer obviously cause who can say no to this sweet boyyyyy

I'm a firm believer you two just sit on the roof as you sing Hindi songs to him. To him, it does not matters if he understands the lyrics or not as long as he is with you he's happy

Would write letters to you whenever you would leave for a mission. 

Lovs how gentle and patient you are but also how childish you can be. 

When he was first on a mission with you he was more than happy when got to see your breathing

Background:

🖤 So, it’s not that you hate demons.

🖤 You dislike them as much as any other Pillar. You don’t want to share their company. You don’t want to share your resources with them. You don’t want to spare time that could be spent saving another deference civilian indulging their vile instincts. And, if possible, you’d prefer to have them beheaded, disemboweled, and bleeding out at your feet rather than alive, well, and waiting to tear another innocent person limb from limb.

🖤 And logically, you know that Nezuko hasn’t hurt anyone, that she’s not like the violent, gluttonous monsters that you deal with on a daily basis. She’s more conscious than that, and you’ve seen the lengths she goes to in order to protect her brother and his friends, the risks she takes to keep humans out of harm’s way, the fondness she seems to hold for living things. You know, logically, that she doesn’t pose a risk to anything that you’ve worked to safeguard.

🖤 But, then you see the points of her sharpened teeth, the curved talons laid where her nails should be, the weeks she spends unconscious to preserve herself when her strength begins to falter, and…

🖤 You can see where this is going, right?

🖤 Just knowing you’re in the same village as a living, breathing demon is enough to make your vision blur, sometimes. Your pulse is erratic whenever she’s around, and you can’t seem to think of anything but getting away.

🖤 If only she felt a similar aversion.

🖤 You can’t stand to be around her, but she can’t seem to get close enough to you.

🖤 It’s not her fault! She’s not totally unaware of her surroundings, but with Urokodaki’s hypnosis and the constant mental strain of having to fight off her more… cannibalistic urges, you can forgive her for missing the way you shrink away from her touch, the way your voice shakes when you address her and her brother, the effort you put into staying as far from her as you possibly can, so long as it doesn’t violate any orders you’ve been given.

🖤 She’s just so sweet, and so kind, and she’s clearly not a threat. So, you can make an exception for her, can’t you?

🖤 Or, if you can’t…

How She Treats You:

🖤 She actually might be one of the more bearable yanderes, if only because it’s such a steep competition.

🖤 You’re never going to be kidnapped (while she’s still a demon, at least), and as a Hashiro, you have too much value of your own to just be locked up, wrapped up, and given to Nezuko as a thrashing reward for staying in line and not eating any of the people she’s sent to save. As long as demons are a threat (meaning, as long as you’re useful), you’re never going to be totally at her mercy, nor does she want you to be. Believe it or not, she views your relationship as something astonishingly mutual, astonishingly innocent, and she doesn’t seem to want any more power over you than it takes to stop you from leaving the room whenever you find yourself at her side – or worse, alone with her.

🖤 She loves you, and although it’s impossible to discern why she’s so infatuated with you, she is. She wants to be close to you, to cling to your arm and spend as much time with you and Tanjiro and all the people she loves as she possibly can, and unless you’re ready to turn against the Hashiro who’ve come to see her as an ally and Kagaya, there’s nothing you can really do to stop her, beyond avoiding her party altogether and insisting that you’d still rather not be so intimate with the enemy, even if she hasn’t bared her fangs just yet.

🖤 That being said, she is very, very protective of you. It’s more than a little irrational, considering you’ve been massacring her kind since you were old enough to walk, but she gets so worried every time you’re injured, a sentiment expressed through both little, fleeting attempts to help heal you (and smear some of her own burning blood against your injury) or an adamant refusal to let anyone, anyone get close to you – from nurses to friends to other slayers.

🖤 She’s never lashed out, never drawn blood, but she had been known to bat at hands, to growl and flash her claws. You doubt she’d ever hurt anyone, but the risk is there, and you do what you can to stay away from her while you’re healing.

🖤 The worst thing you’ll have to deal with is her stalking, honestly.

🖤 And it is stalking. She wants to be around you constantly, whether that means tailing you from the shadows while you train or sneaking into your barracks at night, sitting on the edge of her bed to guard the door until she thinks to work her way under your arm and lie next to you – until you inevitably wake up and scream loudly enough to wake up everyone else in the estate, at least.

🖤 She’s persistent, too. When Tanjiro’s forced to leave her behind, she won’t rest unless she’s left in your care, and no matter how many times you turn her away, she’s not going to give up until she’s either pressed into your side or too drained to keep her eyes open any longer. Which, in the latter case, means you’ll still be taking care of her, because she won’t sleep peacefully unless she knows you’re nearby and she always seems to know when you’re nearby.

🖤 She’s also surprisingly observant when it comes to you. It’s not much, but she has a habit of leaving you little collections of things you like – from flowers she’s seen you admiring to your favorite candy to clothing scraps and viscera leftover from her last kill (she’d leave you an entire body, if she could, but their corpses disappear so quickly, she’s never able to get to you in time). Anything she can, whenever she can. She might be trying to appeal to you, to get you to warm up to her, but it’s more likely that she’s trying to express her own affection for you.

🖤 That, or she’s aware of your hatred for demons, and she wants to prove that she’s on your side, that she can help, that she cares about you and she’s willing to do whatever she can to make the world a little safer for you. But, for that to be true, she’d also have to know that you don’t want to be around her, and you’d rather not believe she’d still choose to be so close to you, if that were true.

🖤 You’d rather not believe she truly, genuinely doesn’t care about your feelings, so you won’t believe she’s aware of them at all.

🖤 Either way, she cares about you, and even if you don’t feel the same way right now, it’s not going to make a difference. She wants to be with you, regardless.

How She Punishes You:

🖤 Punishments from Nezuko aren’t actually something you’ll have to worry about. She doesn’t want anything from you, so there’s nothing she can really punish you for doing or failing to do. There aren’t any rules to break, and basements to run away from – nothing you could do that she’d ever hold against you. From her, at least, you’re safe.

🖤 Instead, your ‘bad behavior’ is going to be corrected by everyone but Nezuko.

🖤 She’s just done so much to help their cause, y’know? Saving Tengen’s life, pulling Kyojuro out of his endless dream, helping defeat an Upper Moon… she’s just so useful, and she’s not hurting you. Surely, you can spare a few minutes for her, every now and then. She just wants to be close to you. She just wants to be so chokingly, suffocatingly close.

🖤 And with what Tanjiro’s willing to do to make his little sister happy… That deserves a list of it’s own, honestly, but needless to say – you’re not getting away very easily. And certainly not for very long, if you do.

🖤 And definitely not with all your limbs in-tact.

🖤 But, failing that—

🖤 The only thing that’ll ever physicallyhappen to you will be by Nezuko’s hand, but she isn’t going to hurt you.

🖤 She just gets a little frustrated when you try to leave her all alone, when you try to run away from her. She tries to be gentle, not to hurt the object of her affections, and she mostly succeeds – only ever leaving a few bruises, maybea scrape or a puncture wound as she curls around you, clings to you, lets her form lull into something larger and sharper than she usually prefers to better keep you tucked into her lap, unable to draw your blade or get away without admitting that a demon was on the verge of overpowering you.

🖤 Sometimes, at night, when you try to throw her out of the bed she’s crawled into, she’ll do the same thing, just latch onto you, wrap her arms around your neck or your waist, use a fraction of her inhuman strength and refuse to let go of you until the sun rises and she’s forced to retreat into somewhere deep and dark. You don’t really have much of a choice, when she’s that desperate and you’ve left yourself so defenseless. It’s easier just to lay there, let her listen to your racing heartbeat, and try to pretend you never woke up at all.

🖤 She really isn’t trying to upset you, or make you angry, or do anything that’d ever bring you pain. To her, you’re just distracted, someone who wants to be loved but doesn’t seem to think it’s possible, so she’s just doing what she can to help you relax, to show you that she’s always going to be there. If that means she has to hold you hold you while you squirm and shove for a couple of hours, then so be it. Honestly, she’s just happy to be so close to you.

🖤 She’s just happy to be able to have someone she loves.

Can you ever get away from her?

🖤 Well—

🖤 Honestly? If the other Pillars don’t interfere? It wouldn’t be difficult.

🖤 As a Harshiro? With how valuable you are to the Demon Corps. and how much work there is to be done, no one’s going to chain you up in a cabin in the mountains for the sake of appeasing one very docile, very clingy demon. There might be a certain amount of pressure to indulge her, or a few cold shoulders when you refuse to, but you’re too much of an asset to trade off completely and everyone knows that.

🖤 And Nezuko just isn’t in a place to do it herself, not when she’s so unable to see anything wrong with whatever ‘relationship’ the two of you have. Even if you do run away from her, abandon her completely, she’s not going to believe it. You’re just a little busy, or you got a little lost, that’s all. She’ll find you, with time, and she’s not going to hold the time you had to spend apart against you when she does.

🖤 Take on enough missions, keep yourself out of her reach, and you’re as good as free. As long as you don’t mind a few crushed wildflowers and loose, bloody teeth being left on the doorstep of your estate every now and then, of course.

🖤 But, if you’re ever injured, rendered unable to keep fighting alongside the other pillars…

🖤 And Nezuko’s protective urges flare up and she can’t seem to keep fighting on their behalf unless your safety is completely assured…

🖤 It’s for the collective good, alright? Just think about everyone you’ve ever saved, anyone you’ve ever wanted to protect.

🖤 I’m sure you can make that sacrifice, for the sake of humanity.
