Well, I'm back on my bullshit. Again. 😂 I'm still sick, and the symptoms keep going juuuuust mild enough to trick me into thinking I'm getting better...and then jumping a couple levels of worse, instead. I'm losing my goddamn mind, so I've been going bonkers in that crackalicious Coffee Shop AU that I finally decided to take a crack at in the DBZ universe.

It is so fucking stupid and silly and absolute nonsense. It's going places I've never gone before. It is not cute. 😂🤣 It's a weird, Ligotti-esque look at corporate customer service culture (read some Thomas Ligotti short stories, if you like bizarre, atmospheric, dreamlike horror). It's obviously full of batshit comedy stylings. It's got Vegeta working in food service, for fuck's sake.

But I went for broke on the whole, "Who's he gonna tsundere this time?" Started up a thing with Bulma, there's probably gonna be something with Goku going on, because I can't not, somehow. But I also just outlined like three chapters about how insanely Ge and Scruffy Yamcha fuck, so who even knows.

And now they're apparently getting embroiled in some kind of special high-stakes holiday sales challenge that would free Vegeta and Raditz from their "technically it's not really indentured servitude," situation with Corporate. But they've got Goku, the weird smoothie prodigy from that beach resort town, and Yamcha's band (him, and Puar on synth), and Nappa's fake NFT scams, and Krillin's literally everything about him, and Raditz's assistant manager training and Bob's Burger level ability to come up with drink specials, and Bulma's brainpower and corporate savvy, and Vegeta's dogged determination to get those customer satisfaction survey scores over the top, just in time for fucking CHRISTMAS.

I do not know yet how all of that is gonna come together, but I cannot wait. 😂😂😂 They are gonna have to do battle with an army of holiday shoppers to take down Frieza.

So, so many of the things I've been through in the years I worked customer-centered jobs are burbling to the surface in just the most... it's dystopian humor. I feel weird about how many delightfully horrible mandatory corporate catchphrases I've been able to shove into this thing already. This might be satire. I dunno. Whatever point I might be trying to make is probably gonna get lost in the incredibly excessive, entirely innuendo conversation with 70s-porno-level subtlety that Yamcha and Vegeta have at the front register, right in front of Yamcha's ex.

This shit is bananas. I apologize for nothing.

bobvids came up w a great point and it was that it's very very obvious that ascension was gonna be blockchain NFT shit at some point and that part was very quickly (and sloppily) excised because the bottom completely fell out of the NFT market before it could come out

#like. the fact that there's a character creator whose only function is that your 'character' shows up as a cameo in the main game #and that the battlepass prizes and freemium currency shop shit (bc of course it has those things) are all dress-up parts #AND that there is something called a 'cameo contest' being advertised on the main menu #means that your character was meant to be an NFT. like one of those stupid fucking bored ape things #the bar. the fucking bar for this game is in hell and it STILL found a way to crawl under it
