4/6 of my homestuck au!!!

Seer of Mind Deceit!

This makes a whole heap of sense for our favorite snake, not gonna lie ( :) ) and luckily, there’s a canonic Seer of Mind — Terezi! As SoM, she’s able to see the consequences of every individual’s actions, and thus judges her own actions based on how everyone else’s actions would turn out. If Deceit isn’t already doing that in canon, then I don’t know what he’s doing.

Witch of Hope Patton!

Alright, this one’s a little less straight forward. As Mr. Morality, Patton’s a lot more concerned about what’s Good and Bad, and has fairly strong opinions on that topic — turns out, this is exactly in line with the Hope aspect. They act on their convictions almost all the time. Making Patton a Witch versus a Sylph, though, came down to one big thing: Witch is speculated to be a pun. One interpretation of the Witch class is that they pick “which” part of their aspect to focus on. Patton clearly choses to see the good in people, often regardless of the cost, therefore holding out “hope” for them. Another interpretation that’d really line up with Dad is that the Witch “breaks the rules” of their aspect — while trying to see the best in all people, Patton does inherently bring out the best in people. I figure, as Witch of Hope, he’d have some power to inspire folks to do “the right thing”? Maybe in a charmspeak kind of way, but also in a more direct power-beam kind of way.

virgil and thomas are on their way! :^) after that, I might start writing some worldbuilding/shorts with this set up? I’ve still got no idea if this is going to be a “sides” au or a human au, ngfl. let me know if you’ve got any Hot Takes :^0
