Is your rewrite going to make the batch less obnoxious and insufferable?

the bar is incredibly low but yeah, I'm hoping to clear it by a couple leagues. granted, I think even a 12 year old could clear it, so.

the only real similarity between the rewrite and the show is that it follows a group of "defective" clones with the same names as their canon counterparts, but it focuses more on Echo.

I and others are worried that tehre's ableism written into his behavior and mannerisms. I know that in TCW he got blown up, and in Rebels he was like "kooky old guy". and in tbb he seems to be trending toward his Rebels depiction. He had a strange way of speaking with a lot of voice cracks, and he tended to laugh/giggle a lot. ive seen other shows where characters who've been hit in the head and/or clearly had head trauma start getting written to be goofy, giggly, and oddly-behaviored.

ive met people who had TBIs. They dont act like that. The most common symptoms are things like stutters and motor skill issues, assuming that getting blown up did a number on him. But Commando armor looks tough (Gregor got shot twice, and scorch got sunned multiple times before he actually fell). So lets assume he got a decently bad concussion

I got a concussion in high school. I had symptoms for a month. Stuttered, couldn't think straight, a bit cranky, head aches, and don't even get me started on my concentration or my handwriting lmao. if i looked back at the notes i tried to take, you'd see a lot of spacing issues cause my spatial reasoning was shot.

but I was never out there with a weird voice crack and random giggling and laughing. Again, assuming his TBI was worse than mine (a soccer ball to the jaw and getting blown up are not the same thing) he'd be having stutters. He did have a stutter! In the clone wars, he had absolutely no confidence and so stuttered a bit. but they got rid of that in favor of how he speaks now. he seems to have lots of confidence but an abnormal way of speaking. if the team had wanted to present TBI victims, they could have done anything but this.

Day 2 of the 365 challenge. I've been Xmas cleaning all day (Santa likes a clean house) limiting my photography time. I wanted to explore the capacity of my phone so got some markers as the texture of the nibs is wonderful. Put the phone in super macro and switched the flash on. I set it against a cream notebook as it works with the theme as well as being very clean. I quite like how they came out and the phone really picked up the texture. Did a bit of fettling in snapseed. Quite happy with day 2. Gonna be fully honest here, The Bad Batch is a genuinely mediocre show. I feel NOTHING for it, I go in with the lowest expectations, and the characters just feel like they’re being dragged around as lifeless puppets without rhyme nor reason, as the animators try to pad out the air time by showing the Bad Batch running around or whatever.

Yeah I haven’t watched it I just heard it sucked 💀
