I recently watched through the first season of Natsume Yuujinchou - Natsume's Book of Friends. It was quite nice ^-^
No idea if it's niche, but oh well xD
Had to push this over cause of the yandere thing, so niche interest is also late ;-;. Also the detail in the outfits genuinely made it hard as hell to do at any pace that's not a snail's pace
Also 10/12 was my dog's birthday, so if you're seeing this, wish her a happy birthday!!!!
I drew Nia YET AGAIN because I couldn't figure out exactly what "niche" meant exactly. Something not too many people are interested in? Something socially unacceptable or weird to people? I wasn't entirely sure and I Can't Sleep is both sooooo...
yeah I'm obsessed with a fictional traumatized emo so what
GIVE IT UP FOR DAY 12 (Niche Interest), DAY 13 (Creepypasta) AND DAY 14 (Candy Gore) EVERYONE
(The niche interest is "genetic mutation that was responsible for the immunization of the populace of black plague affected countries that led to further genetic evolution" if anyone is curious)
For day 11 I figured Ordi was close enough to a yandere to draw, even though I've never once posted about his lore or maybe even about him at all. As you can probably guess from his design he has a LOT to do with my other OC Sorin so.... yeah :)
And day 12 it's less a niche interest and more a collection, but I have so many silly sunglasses XD
i'm too busy to do cringetober actually, BUT, i simply could not ignore day 12.
my niche interest has been WEBCOMICS since i was 11, i remember trying to figure out gunnerkrigg court through language barrier and being fascinated by a number of regional-specific small webcomics. i felt like witnessed the very birth of this industry and always wanted to draw something myself.
later i found out about mspaintadventures, and ads on this site brought me to go get a roomie! which happened to become my favourite comics of all time. but back then i could not understand all the complexity within it, i was just like 'haha funny hippie with cool lesbian representation!'.
ggar is currently finished so i drew pia from little tiny things, the ongoing webcomic, instead.
back then i also found out about sister claire, but couldnt manage to get invested in the story enough. YET WHEN I FINALLY DID, oh boy, i cried, its so complex, so rich, characters are so alive, it brings so many emotions. i really look up to this one, the perfect example of how to tell complicated stories in made-up worlds.
many things to all the webcomics artists and those mentioned in particular! you make my days 🥰
Sorry this is late-- my original plan was to draw something about Animusic (my actual niche interest) but I didn't manage it in time, I had a busy couple of days, and I wasn't feeling well. So instead, I'm posting this thing that I drew a little while ago-- a character chart for Moth and my Sucralis OCs.
Needle and Jackal are in the middle, with their various friends and acquaintances in the circle. Hiding the long list of names under the read-more, but starting with the blue one at the top and moving clockwise:
Nova (?)
Bubble Leafstack
Scissor Blade
Marble Moonbeam
Peach Pittz
Razor Blade
Matchbox (?)
Crystal (?)
Icemaker Glitterguts
Blaze Piztov
Violet Briar
Beerbarrel
Cracktail
Gimmick (?)
Lemon Lyme
Jelly & Jam
Zero Diadem
Tack Pinns
Hedge (?)
Some I can't remember the last names or they don't canonically have them. Beerbarrel is a pseudonym, so there's just no last name there. Jelly & Jam are one entry because they're identical twins and are almost always together.
