"Nicky is one of the best friends I have had in the paddock, when we were teammates in the difficult Ducati years and we fought to the last drop of blood simply to conquer the last place in the 'top five'. The best memory i have about him is when he came to shake my hand after the unfortunate Valencia 2015 race, during the lap of honor. For him it was farewell to MotoGP and I had just lost the World Championship. His supportive look inside the helmet is one of the few good memories I have of that day." Ok so this year is my first full MotoGP season since 2010, here's a few things I've noticed or some options I have.
Overtakes look slower and more difficult, I guess that's the aero?
There's no hero/villain dynamics anymore. I'm starting to believe Rossi made anyone against him look like the villian.
These "on-track-only" rivalries are a little bit boring
I seen very quickly why they call Pedro Acosta the baby goat
Seeing riders faces and personal lives all the time is weird. I remember asking my mum to see a photo of Rossi because I had watched him for years but didn't know what he looked like (we weren't big on the post-race interviews)
Still can't picture Casey Stoner looking any different than he did in 2008, even though he looks very different. Still got spiky blonde hair and those sunglasses to me
I only recently heard of Hayden's passing, rest in peace to the first American I ever saw. Seriously though, I loved him
Rossi changed the shade of yellow he used :(
I don't like the wings, motorbike aren't meant to have wings.
I miss the graphics with the riders number designs, I don't like the new minimalistic one
(late addition) Ducati have come very far in the last ten or so years, yet I have not seen a single person appreciate it
It's super weird coming back to something that was so big in my childhood but I love it.
If anyone else has a similar situation with the motogp plz let me know I'd love to speak to someone else that had such a big gap between seasons

MotoGP: It's been 5 years since Nicky Hayden's passing. His presence is still felt in motorsport paddocks around the world and will be for many years. A testament to a kind, humble and inspirational man. #RideOnKentuckyKid

Today is the 6th anniversary of Nicky Hayden's death 🥹
He was one of my favourite MotoGP pilots
I still remember his battle against Valentino Rossi in 2006 till the last race
I loved Valentino that time but I was so happy for Nicky's victory too
I also remember that on that day, during the last race were everything was still to be decided, I had a feeling, a feeling that Rossi would have fallen and wouldn't have won the race and the 2006 MotoGP championship and this is exactly what happened
So that championship went to Nicky, the first and only 🥰
The fact that he died in Italy somehow put him nearer to my country, also he has been a Ducati pilot for several years
And it's also strange to think that he died in Cesena like today and right these days Cesena is suffering too, for the flood and the bad weather
