My fresh as splat"sona" who's a giant antarctic octopus named Niel, have his 2-month old icon for now

○ He's not an octoling but just an octopus, has suckers under the white part of the tentacles and swim form is more anatomically accurate to that of a real antarctic octopus (if you don't know what I mean, think of Orion)

○ His ink colour and eyemasks is actually white but he dyes it different colours every now and then, few people have seen him with white tentacles (this is also why his bucket hat is white btw!)

○ He loves to play his handmade "all-purpose" type guitar, joins in a lot of jam sessions due to how easy it is to adapt in terms of the tune.

○ Can get very VERY loud if he has to, he was the biggest cheerer at a concert he attended, some say it can break Killer Wails

○ Goes by the name "Subzero" in turf wars, surprisingly pretty good at using his Big Swig roller.

0. Introductions

The land of Pleasantview. It’s hard to find a person, who doesn’t dream of building a career in one of its shiny skyscrapers, moving into a cozy house of its calm suburbans and taking a stroll in between the peaceful greenery of its vast parks. Not So Pleasant

They’ve always seemed to be an exemplary family: famous football player Daniel with his successful business lady Mary-Sue and their twin-princesses Angela, the bright mind, and Lilith, the creative soul.

So when Daniel moved out unexpectedly the neighborhood of Willow Creek couldn’t let the case without digging. Soon enough the rumours of Daniel cheating on Mary started to spread, and the exemplary image was left shattered in pieces.

What other secrets keep the Pleasants? And will Mary ever be able to trust a man again?

Broken Souls

Brandi never regretted leaving the luxury of her parents behind in order to move in with her high school sweetheart Skip Broke. She had no other choice. Her parents planned a shiny academic future for her, so they would never allow their 18-year-old daughter to keep her and Skip’s baby. 

The Brokes traveled enough around Pleasantview, with Skip doing his best to provide for his wife and his little son Dustin. After a long time of moving around, Skip has found a permanent job at the Landgraab facility and the family has finally been able to settle down in a tiny trailer house in one of the modest corners of Willow Creek. That’s where they had their second son, cutie Beau. And that’s where Brandi has lost her Skip to a “tragic and mysterious facility accident”. 

Will Brandi be able to raise her sons alone? And what troubles will Dustin get into while trying to deal with his heavy loss?

A Fresh Start

After months of unsuccessful attempts to conceive their second child, Leo and Lina have come to a conclusion that a calm suburban area might be the solution to their difficulty. So they changed the stuffy San Myshuno Business Quarter to the Copperdale fresh air, leaving Leo whining from time to time about spending a whole hour daily to get to his office and back. 

To Lina’s mind, apart from the fresh air there were more bonuses that Copperdale has offered her family. The local high school has always been famous for gifting its students a lucky ticket to the best universities of the countries, and Lina couldn’t dream of a better opportunity for her eldest daughter from the previous marriage Nina. 

On top of that, Copperdale was significantly further from San Sequoia, making Nina spend much less time with her rock-star father Niel Dwyer. 

But will the distance help Lina get rid of Niel’s troublesome and careless influence on Nina? And will Copperdale finally become Lina's and Leo’s family happiness corner?

Vikie’s notes: With my recent nostalgia about The Sims 2 lore, I’ve been dreaming of creating TS2 world in The Sims 4. Apparently it has already been done by violetpixels in the TS2 to TS4 Uberhood save file.

Currently I’m focused on the two iconic TS2 families - the Pleasants and the Brokes, along with my Gross-Dwyer family whom I decided to give a fresh start after I had lost any interest in going on with “My Willow Creek Teens” story. However, later on I might add a couple of other preexisting TS2 households to the “Neighbourhood Stories” (with proper introductions, of course).

The first suranne jones role I've ever seen was in doctor who. She played a woman who had the consciousness of the tardis put in her and the way she played that role was fantastic.

The entire episode she and doctor were bickering like an old married couple. They've known eachother for hundreds of years and first thing they do when they get to talk to eachother is bicker and it was so fun to watch!

At the end when she says how she's looking for word, a big, complicated word but so sad... alive, I'm alive.. or when she's like there's something i didn't get to say.. hello, hello doctor. It's so very, very nice to met you.

i cried the first time i watched it and i cry every time i think about it.

How awesome would it be if one day the doctor chose the face that the tardis had and we just have suranne jones play the doctor.. i want it so bad.

The doctors wife is probably one of if not my favorite doctor who episode.. i mean come on the episode was written by niel gaiman, the episode had suranne jones and Michael sheen in it and we got the iconic 11th doctor scene of "fear me I've killed hundreds of time lords".. "fear me I've killed all of them" and another line i love is "you took her from her home and now she's back in the box again"... i just can't..

Leslie Groves, played by Matt Damon (I might have accidentally Barbie-fied this one)

There’s so many good conversations and banters between Oppie and Groves that I have a hard time choosing just one iconic phrase. In the end I choose this one. Through out the movie Groves has always shown full support to Oppie’s demands. Even at the very moment that could potentially end the world, despite his fear, Groves still had faith in Oppie and I personally think it’s a beautiful scene :)

Groves: Are you saying that there’s a chance that when we push that button … we destroy the world?

Oppenheimer: The chances are near zero…

Groves: Near zero!?

Oppenheimer: What do you want from theory alone?

Groves: ZERO would be nice!

My favorite conversation between Einstein and Oppenheimer has to be where he confronted Oppie about the interrogation and the one close to the end where he foreshadowed Oppenheimer’s future.

Einstein: I left my country, never to return. You served your country well. If this is the reward she offers you then perhaps you should turn your back on her.

Oppenheimer: Damn, I happen to love this country

Einstein: Then tell them to go to hell.

Einstein: One day, when they’ve punished you enough, they will serve you salmon and potato salad, make speeches, give you a medal, Pat you on the back and tell you all is forgiven. Just remember it won’t be for you. It will be for them.

In conclusion, Einstein got no chill. Whoever spoiled that Einstein is a passive boogie man who pops up here and there were lying.

This quote is an interesting parallel to what Kitty told Oppie when she figured out what was happening:

Allow me to scream about The Sandman please

I only watched the first episode so far (i've been waiting for over a year for this show im gonna savour it) and, as big big fan of the source material, i already have to scream about it, so you are welcome to read

So, i only watched the first tailer and saw some few promo pictured but thats it, and i already noticed some really strong point for this show (imo)

Dream: Ok first i have to congrtulate the director, the casting deparment, the actors and Niel Gaiman bc all charecters where amazing so far, but specially Tom Sturridge as Dream. He carries himself like Dream, i love his voice, i love his hair, i lit love love love this Dream. He is the edgy dramatic pathetic man i wanted to see. And oh god i do hope Death hits him in the head with a baggete later on

The visuals and aesthetic: everything looks amazing and its so curated, the attention to detail is mindblowing to me. CGI spaces like the Dreaming, the gates of horn and ivory, the palace, its all so breathtsking and the cgi of animals and stuff look good so far. But onlynthe cgi stuff looks great, every room, the wardrobe, Dream's objects, the glass jail...if i were Niel Gaiman i would've cried the first time i saw Dream's helm. Its probably the most perfect looking thing so far. ALSO everytime his eyes got shinny i went apeshit, 10/10.

The frames: related to the point above, the camera angles and frames used replicate almost exactly the most iconic comic pannels, and boy are they well made. Really, kudos

Its an adaptation and not a copy: i know so far i thrown roses at it for being exactly like the comic, but really they knew what changes to make and how to help the story move along and form a 10 episodes season out of different plots in different volumes. For example, the Corinthian is not introduced until later and i like he was there already (also his desing is also perfect and i was worried about the eye-teeth thing, how it would look). I also also really like they gave Alex more importance and i fucking loved that Paul broke the circle in purpose. I also really liked they introduced Jessamy and stablished the importance of the ravens early on while helping the development of Alex's chatecter. Another thing, the casting women and poc actors for more chatecters. Good.

Im slighty dissapointed they didnt gave him his iconic silly flame coat when he broke free but we cant win them all 😔
